Hi Everyone — 10 days away from the election! Can you believe it? Is anyone here still undecided? What’s taking you so long? I’d love to hear from you this morning.
In case you missed O’Reilly’s show last night, we’ll replay for you his ambush of Bill Ayers and tell you what Ayers did when confronted with tough questions. We’ll also break away from national politics (for a second) to tell you the most outrageous state ballot initiatives around the country. If you have one in your local area, tell us about it.
Halloween has never been my favorite holiday — in fact I dred it. I’m totally Halloween impaired. You want proof? Well, tomorrow Clayton, Dave and I wil show you the most embarassing Halloween costumes from our own childhoods. What was your most ridiculous costume? What are you dressing up as this year? If you can unearth an old photo, send it to me.

He’s here and he’s talking. What questions do you have for him? And we’re 16 days away from the election. What do you think John McCain’s strategy should be for the next two weeks: funny or forceful? After his hilarious turn at the charity dinner last week, some pundits suggest McCain inject more humor into his stump speeches, others think he should fight harder. Your thoughts?

Hey Guys, this morning we’ve got more on the investigation in Acorn. Why is the Obama campaign launching its own investigation into the investigation. And Obama’s plumber comes out against Joe the Plumber. As always feel free to weigh in on whatever crops up on the show.

Yes, we’ll have blog favorite John Fund on this morning to talk about voter fraud and Acorn AND to respond to yesterday’s segment in which so many of you complained that he was unfairly and rudely interrupted bu the ACORN representative. John will be on solo (as we usually feature him) so he can talk without interruption. Feel free to send in your questions for him.
As for yesterday, I’ve not yet read all your comments but I read enough to see that we need to reestablish the ground rules here. I understand how frustrating it can be to watch a segment that you don’t think was conducted fairly, but let’s have some decorum. Feel free to vent and express your disatisfaction but all the invective, insults and name-calling is not necessary or welcome. This blog is supposed to be a community for debate not a dumping ground for anger. We’re looking for conversation not vitriol at this hour. For those of you interested in profane chat rooms, I’m told you can find those to your heart’s delight elsewhere on the Internet. And for all of you who tried to extinguish the overheated rhetoric (God love ya, Gini), thank you.
We have a new segment today called “What were they Thinking” in which we invited you to provide a caption for a thought-provoking photo. You can send your suggestions here.
And, yes, Rebecca’s wedding was fabulous.

Morning Everyone — Remember to send in your mortgage, banking and savings questions to our Wall Street expert Pam Krueger. She’ll answer them on the air.
Also, this morning we have a representative from Acorn on to defend their seemingly dubious voter registration practices. What do you want to hear from him?
I’ve just had a second to read a few of your comments about our Acorn debate and OOOoooo boy, you’re fired up. I’ll read the comments when i can and respond after the show. But until then, here was my initial thinking and motivation with the interview: we talk to John Fund often, we all know the reports of voter fraud at the hands of ACORN, so let’s hear from an actual ACORN representative and how he defends these actions, we’ve never had an ACORN spokesperson on F&F Weekend and I actually wanted to hear what he had to say. As far as him interrupting, I did chastise him several times about not doing so but as a general rule we would not cut a guest’s mic for bad manners.
noon update — OK, I’ve had a chance to read more of your comments and it seems as though the consensus is you wanted to hear more from John Fund. Having had John on almost everyday for the past month, we thought you would want to hear from an actual ACORN rep to attempt to answer some of the questions. But your wish is our command: we will book John separately from ACORN so that you can hear him uninterrupted.
Sorry I can’t respond to more of your posts — I’m off to Rebecca Gomez’s wedding! Photos to follow tomorrow.

Hi Everyone,
I know so many of you inquired about where to find all the fun political paraphenalia from today’s show. I was partial to the Donkey and Elephant salt & pepper shakers. (btw, the cookies were delicious but may i suggest a milk chaser). You can find a link (and great discounts) for all the stuff at: http://www.storeadore.com/sdev/press/blog/2008/10/10/shoppings-political-pulse/
We have a great show lined up for tomorrow. Of course we’ll be talking about the economy but we’re not just going to repeat the doom and gloom outlook you hear elsewhere. We have Pam Krueger, an expert on stocks and mortgages, to answer your email questions about how to proceed in this climate. Feel free to start sending your questions here to the blog. We’ll also show you our segment with Cesar Milan, the famed Dog Whisperer. We intended to have him teach our producer Jennifer how to get her pit bull Sam to drop a ball (he tends to lock on permanently) but we got sooooo much more than we bargained for. Wait til you see how Sam shocked us all with his bad behavior. Little did we know how much he needed Cesar Milan’s intervention. The video is disturbing (but has a happy ending)!
