“Oh She’s Just Bein’ Miley”
Good morning everyone….It’s Audra again this morning. Ali is still enjoying her vacation! Disney star Miley Cyrus has recently caught attention from her cover shot on vanity fair. Now a purported photo of Cyrus posing in the shower in a white T-shirt is circulating the Web. The photo was allegedly obtained by a hacker at DigitalGangster.com, who reportedly accessed the actress’s cell phone memory. When asked about the photos, Cyrus’ rep, Jill Fritzo, would only say “Old photos, old news.” Do you think Miley Cyrus has become too racy for Disney? Or do you think these photos are false? Maybe you think the photos are real, but they just aren’t a big deal? What about if pictures like this of your young teenager were on the web? How would you handle it? Let us know your thoughts… (nothing inappropriate please)
Remembering Tony Snow
Goodmorning everyone! It’s Audra (Alisyn’s intern) blogging for Alisyn this morning since she is on vacation. This morning in the greenroom everyone is sharing some of their favorite Tony Snow memories and discussing what a great man Tony was…I thought it would only be appropriate for all of us to talk about the same on the blog today.
Open Blog Friday
Here’s what were talking about this morning. Feel free to chime in!
– OK, you proabably heard us debating the story out of Beachwood, Florida that canceled their annual 4th of July Rec League All-Star Game for 9-12 year olds. Why? Because certain kids were being better players than others. Can you imagine?! Some kids were better players?? Shocking, no? The Assistant Recreation Supervisor of the town doesn’t think that competition for kids of that age group is healthy. I can relate to the downside of competition. As you heard me lament, I was the kid on the team who was ALWAYS picked LAST. Every single time. As Brian pointed out, the experience has ruined me. So, is competition good or unhealthy for adolescents?
-At the end of the 6 a.m. hour we heard from angry kids protesting gas prices after their parents had to cut costs and cancel cable TV! That’s right — no cable tv! What belt-tightening measures have you resorted to to combat rising gas prices? And, PLEASE, don’t cut cable tv or I’ll have to do A LOT more belt-tightening.

Happy Hour
We had some fun at 6:35 this morning talking about happy hour. It turns out that it’s more than thirst that’s driving people to the bars — it’s actually ambition. 21 percent of respondents to a careerbuilder.com poll thinks that happy hour is a great networking opportunity. But there are definitely risks as well… Which of these do you think would be the worst? And let’s hear your stories about things that took place at your work happy hours.
Open Blog Friday
Hey everyone–I’m on from 7-9 today but I will try to blog throughout the show. Here are some topics to discuss this morning:
-What do you think of the reported teen pregnancy pact in Gloucester, Massachusetts in which dozens of teenage girls actually tried to get pregnant.?
-If you haven’t heard much about the Countrywide mortgage scandal, you’re not alone. Much of the media is ignoring it. So is this story an outrage or business as usual?
-And do you have a favorite website? Any site you find particularly cool or helpful? (nothing x-rated please!) At 8:30 I’ll post my favorite one here.
