Sunday Morning
by Alisyn Camerota
What do you think of Tiger Woods’ situation. Should he talk to the police? SHould he come out and talk to the media?
Will you be online shopping on cyber-Monday?
If you want to know more about Liam McCarty, the 8-year-old boy abducted from New York City and taken to Italy, go to saveliam.org.

Ali,
Glad to see you picked the Saints. Tiger should talk to police; it could be he was running from the couple who crashed WH party.
Lod
Good Morning Ms Alisyn,
I’ll so most of my shopping on-line, but not from work.
I’ll post the crews picks as soon as I get them verified.
chas
P.S.
I will not be on the net shopping while at work. I only access the Internet at work for work related reasons.
With Ben not playing I think she should have taken Baltimore, but oh well….lol
chas
I did!! A.J. screwed it up!
Hi Chas
Did you pick the Saints for Monday night/
Good morning Alisyn and to everyone on the blog this morning! It is a beautiful day in Pennsylvania, so far.
RE: UBL, is this going to be another blame Bush thing?
I would love to see Bin Laden captured!
Also regarding shopping on line at work. We aren’t allowed, company blocked sites. However it backfired on them, when car and truck parts were trying to find web sites to purchase parts for customers. So they had to unblock them. I thought it was kinda funny myself. Shooting self in the foot so to speak.
Hi Mary,
They will probably attemt to blame Bush.
Morning Lod,
I don’t do picks this year. I just count the blog votes and pass them on to Ms Aly.
Vegas has the spread at +2.5 for New Orleans. Pretty low spread for being at home. But yes I suspect that New Orleans will prevail this week.
The only 2 teams I see having a chance to beat them would be Indy or the Vikes right now.
chas
attempt
Good Morning Alisyn
my football picks,
New England over New Orleans
San Francisco over Jacksonville
Pittsburgh over Baltimore
Cardinals over Titans.
Good Luck Alisyn
Good Morning Everyone.
Lod, I agree about capturing UBL. However, you and I both know about “what the Bush administration didn’t do, and what the anointed one’s administration has done to capture UBL”. It will get all twisted, you know like Bush didn’t do anything, and MY administration has done everything, because I am the anointed one”. I can see it coming…………….
I haven’t heard, but I believe this to be correct:
Alisyn:
New Orleans
San Fran
Pittsburgh
Tenn
C layton:
New England
Jacksonville
Pittsburgh
Tenn
D ave:
New England
San Fran
Balt
Tenn
R ick:
New Orleans
Jacksonville

Arizona

Sal, keep your fingers crossed for the Steelers. It could be a really tough game.
I am shocked that Tiger was driving a Cadillac SUV and not a Buick that he endorsed and received lots of money. I posted this yesterday, I wonder if it will go through today.
Tiger apparently has something to hide, otherwise I’m sure he’d be talking to the police. I’m speculating wifey chased the fleeing Tiger and smashed the back window of the car, disrupting the normally perfect aim of the gifted pro, hurtling him into the fire hydrant. LOL – I would have paid money to be a fly on the wall…..
yep, it did. Strange.
I know Mary, they said Big Ben is not playing, its going to be a long game if he dont play.
Good Morning, post-Thanksgivingers!
Not everything that happens to and with people is the business of the police, even if blood and broken glass is involved. Our highest allegiances are to our God, ourselves, our loved ones and families, our friends…, then somewhere down the list comes government. Only a statist believes we need to leap in the direction of government to sort everything out, whether it be health care matters, or personal conduct matters, and that is antithetical to the notions the Framers left with us – and which too many of us are letting leave us.
Good Morning Cap.
Morning Cap.
And you are right on.
And someone being famous doesn’t entitle us to know what goes on in his life.
chas
Keep in mind that Lindsey Graham is for Cap and Tax………….where is his head on taxing the American people for this stupid program?
So, let me get this straight, the report written and goes back to 2001, why didn’t John Kerry bring up this issue in the 2004 election?
WHERE are the CYBER MONDAY links………….???
She may post them after the show Ms ellen.
chas
Cap, here’s something you should like!
Everyone should know the difference between a Republic and Morocracy.
chas
Mobocracy I mean.
Morning all…
Hey Cap, I heard that the FL SBI took over the case from the local police for some reason…I think it is a personal matter.
Word was that Tiger was not required to talk to police only give his license, registration and proof of insurance. If I were his agent I would advise him to make a written statement and take no questions.
CAP, U may disagree here.
I just sent Mrs Claus my wish list…very very short.
I thought you meant “Moronocracy,” which is too often what we have.
That would fit also….lol
chas
Well that’s it for today. The results for this week’s games won’t be posted until Tuesday since the New Orleans game is Monday night.
Thanks for the company and thoughts. Have a great week everyone.
Ms Alisyn good luck with your picks this week. I’m not feeling real good about the Pittsburgh Game however. Have a great week.
chas
Frank C., I have always advised my clients to never, ever talk to the cops, which includes publishing a written statement. In 1000’s of cases, not once has it helped a client to speak to the cops. Not once. Sometimes I refuse to allow someone to hire me if they have said too much to the cops, especially if they are people whom I have advised thusly previously: if you don’t take my advice, you don’t get my help, no matter how big your purse might be.
Have a great day everyone. It was a great blog today. Just so nice to be able to post without someone calling you names. Great blog and posts.
Right on CAP…Most people get into trouble after they open their “pie hole.” The more you say, the more ammunition you give the investigators…
Ali, I do not like Vampire movies either….
Have a great week all.
Dog, I see nothing about family, loved ones, friends, to whom one owes more allegiance than to a distant government, which is merely a collectivization of faceless folk.
On America’s News I just heard the state troopers, to Tiger, in effect: “We don’t really need your input; we just want to gather more information.” Oh, My God: straight out of the interrogation 101 manual! That goes along with “my supervisor is going to be upset at me if I don’t complete this report, so please help me” and “you probably had a good reason for what you did….” and “this is your only opportunity to tell me what happened” [OPPORTUNITY???] and “I’ve been doing this for many years and your issue here is minor compared to what others have done, so just help me complete my report” and “[ ] already told me the truth about what you did, and [he/she] said you [ ].” Do not fall for any of that. All people being interrogated, or sought to be interrogated, should always “Just say ‘No.’” No matter who he or she is.
Cap, the point of the vid isn’t to promote allegiances but rather to contrast the “pecking order” of where the power lies. I feel that one’s dedication to their loved ones falls within the realm of religion.
Hi All:
TMI with the 24/7 slash and burn media. Glad no one cares what I am doing at 2 am!
Just a heads up here with today’s games.
Ms Alisyn picked Baltimore NOT Pittsburgh this week. However the staff missed that change. I have tried to contact the Producer to get it changed but haven’t been able to get a hold of him.
So if you see a change you will know that way prior to the game the change was attempted. How this will shake out will be up to the Producer.
chas
LOL Surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreee go head bail on my boys… LOL LOL
(do I need to say j/k?)
I was hoping to find a link to the best cyber Monday sites! I missed the segment…hope to snag some deals tomorrow!
It’s all about the win lori….lol
Once Ben was out it really is the only logical choice.
chas
LOL Not for the Steeler nation Chas… WE BELIEVE there is always a chance until the clock reads 0000… Come on DD!!!! Here we go!
Besides there were a few great “come off the bench cold..ers” that didn’t turn out too badly.. I hear tell a few of them have a collection of SB rings.. Does Brady ring a bell? Oh and then theres that big guy whats his name?? Ben?????? something or rather?
You are correct, but to be honest, my review doesn’t give them much of a chance.
Vegas odds went from a +2.5 game to +7.5 when it was announced that Ben was out. Tough to argue the Steelers getting extra points from Baltimore.
But, it’s about to start so we shall see.
Have a nice evening.
chas
Sorry, but our country has done VERY WELL as a Democracy – except for when the conservatives are in power, this country has enjoyed MUCH SUCCESS as a Democracy! A Democracy works best for EVERYONE! The guy in the video is an absolute idiot – like the person (or animal) who posted it! LMAO!
You guys just love misinformation! The Republicans put Corporations at the “top”of the pecking order!
A republic is democracy – its a form of democracy. The term republic means essentially a democracy that is led by one man – the president – who we all know is elected to be the leader by the people to represent them – just like congress is elected by the people to represent them. Notice how the term ‘represent ‘ keeps coming up? Ever heard of the term representative democracy?
What did Bush try to establish in Iraq, but failed miserably – a DEMOCRACY!
they are not having it!
Unfortunately, our representatives are supposed to be elected by the people, but more often it’s CORPORATIONS who decide who gets elected. Sad, but so true!
Turning Point: Couric Rips Obama
Katie Couric may be best known for her unflattering interview with Sarah Palin. But her nightly news broadcast this past Monday night may be an indicator that the big liberal media are now turning their guns on Obama.
Couric said on “CBS Evening News” that Americans are growing “disenchanted” with Obama and are openly questioning his credibility.
“Is the honeymoon over?” anchor Couric said at the beginning of her correspondent’s report.
“Although President Obama has been in office less than a year, many Americans are growing disenchanted with his handling of the enormous problems he and the country are facing, from healthcare to unemployment to Afghanistan.
“His poll numbers are sliding, and at least one poll shows his job approval rating has fallen, for the first time, below 50 percent.”
Correspondent Chris Reid chimed in: “The president is getting battered on everything from the economy to foreign policy. Some polls show Americans are increasingly questioning his credibility.”
The report asserted that while Obama talks about dealing with unemployment, which is over 10 percent and expected to rise, he has developed “no new ideas” for dealing with the problem.
CBS also cited a poll showing that only 14 percent of Americans believe Obama’s claim that healthcare reform won’t add to the budget deficit, and only 7 percent believe that the stimulus has created any jobs at all.
Obummers just like an onion, the more layers get peeled off the more he stinks. The American people are starting to smell this mess he got us into.
I can only say 2 things, wow it was almost a perfect weekend and 2, I no longer wonder why people consider our education system a total failure.
Best example of “duh” I think I have ever read. Someone should sue for failing to provide services because they certainly didn’t get their dollars worth.
Good night all,
chas
People who are uneducated (chuckie) are always spewing garbage – it never stops! Hmmmmmm, who was failed by our educational system? Chuckie? What grade level did you complete? 5th?
MOST physicians SUPPORT healthcare reform!
In an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” Bayh said he would push to make sure the legislation is cost effective but acknowledged that not every senator will get what he wants.
“I don’t think we can afford to do nothing with costs going up 10, 15 percent a year,” Bayh said. “My objective is to try and make that alternative of doing something as positive as we possibly can, realizing that — at the end of the day it may be just imperfect.”
Howard Dean, a physician and former governor from Vermont who has been critical of some of his fellow Democrats who do not back a public health insurance option, predicted on the same news show that Obama would succeed on healthcare reform.
“We’re going to pass a decent health care bill that really is going to start reform,” Dean said.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed its version on November 7. The Senate is set to begin debate on Monday after the legislation passed a crucial procedural vote before the week-long Thanksgiving holiday break.
A Closer Look At Polls on Health Care Reform
Most of the time, it seems as if the conventional wisdom assumes critics of the reform plan are necessarily on the right. But the CNN poll helps prove otherwise — 46% support the reform bill, and another 10% would like it if it were more liberal.
Republicans tend to look at these evenly-split polls on health care and assume opponents of the bill are with the GOP. That’s clearly not the case.
The same poll, by the way, shows President Obama’s approval rating holding steady at 55%, and Democrats leading Republicans on the generic-ballot test by seven points.
If it was 5th lizzie it seems it served me better than yours did you since I know the difference between a Republic and a Democracy.
Go ahead and continue to post your propaganda and left fringe nonsense. Few believe your idiocy anyway. Take a history course will ya?
Might make you sound like you actually know something other than what is posted on huffington post or said on comedy central.

Holiday shopping held steady through the weekend after retailers saw a huge crowd of bargain shoppers buying discounted flat-panel TVs and fleece jackets on Black Friday, the traditional post-Thanksgiving Day shopping spree.
Economic worries about jobs were still apparent as shoppers stuck to their lists and focused on practical and small-ticket items for themselves and for their loved ones, resulting in a mildly encouraging start to the season.
Online sales on Thursday and Friday, however, rose 11 percent to $913 million, according to data released Sunday by comScore, an Internet research firm.

For more than 20 years, Mike Nolan was known to radio listeners as the “eye in the sky.” He flew over Southern California freeways in his single-engine plane, reporting on the nation’s worst traffic.
These days, he broadcasts about traffic snarls and lurking gridlock without leaving the ground — without even leaving his home in this Los Angeles suburb. Sitting in a chair behind computer monitors and a television, Nolan gathers traffic data and broadcasts live on two radio stations a day.
His return to earth reflects the evolution of the traffic reporting business as a faltering economy forces news operation cutbacks, technology displaces traditional reporters and motorists increasingly rely on cell phones and GPS to monitor live traffic.
I believe that the Media should just leave Tigar Woods alone. It really is none of our business.
With all that is going on with the War and health care and the sorry state of our government right now, this is the very last thing I need to know about.
Well lori, the Steelers did well. Dixon played much better than I would have expected, but in the end, even though it took OT, I was correct.
But they did hold tough. Had Batch been able to play I think you would have won.
Have a good week.
chas
Oh Chuckie – I think it is YOU who believes right-wing propaganda! Get an EDUCATION and learn about DEMOCRACY! If you believe the Doggie’s Youtube propaganda then you are dumber than I thought! Don’t be as dumb as the Doggie! He’s on crack!
Bush was trying to establish a DEMOCRACY in Iraq, NOT a REPUBLIC! LMAO!!!!
Pledge of Allegiance ‘and to the republic for which it stands”. 1st grade
The United States Constitution guarantees a republic, not a democracy. You will not find the word democracy anywhere in the Constitution, or in the Declaration of Independence, and there is a very important reason for this. Both the words, democracy and republic, are based in very old Latin meanings used to describe different forms of government. While their definitions parallel one another, there is a true difference. Both imply rule by the people, but the difference is that a democracy is the pure rule of the majority of the citizens over the minority, and a republic preserves every individual right, whether they are in the majority or the minority of the citizenry. If we were a true democracy, then every citizen in my town could vote that my property should be the property of the people, and could force me to relinquish my property to the people, by a democratic vote. Because we are a republic, the state guarantees that my property remains my own, no matter what the majority demands. The difference between the two terms is much more dramatic than that small example, and while I understand the confusion of the two terms, it’s important to review the true definition of each word, rather than just seeing the first three letters in each word.
Can we just drop the Tiger Woods story? Why do we have to know every detail? It’s obviously a personal thing and who really cares? This story is ridiculous.
Lori, it was a good game until Dixons last play, but he did play good enough to win,
but you cant throw a pick in overtime… well we are 6-5… we have to win out the season to make the playoffs, if we go 11-5 or at the worst 10-6 we should make it to the playoffs,
once we make the playoffs… anything can happen.
Good Morning, Chas, Bruce, Sterling.
Hi Sal
So smart, you are, Sterling. Thank you.
A primer on the difference between a “democracy” and a “republic”:

Good Morning Carolyn and I agree, well said Sterling.

The Swamp
by Mark Silva
The Senate’s post-Thanksgiving debate over health care gets underway this week against a backdrop of apparent deep public division and slight disapproval.
With the Senate poised to take up a health-care overhaul which the Democrats and independent allies have voted to advance to debate and which the Republicans have voted to block, the Gallup Poll today reports that 49 percent of Americans surveyed say they would advise their member of Congress to vote against a bill and 44 percent say they would recommend a vote for it.
The findings represent a turnaround since early October, when Gallup found that 51 percent of those surveyed favored a vote for a health-care bill and 41 percent said they opposed it.
The latest findings come from a survey conducted Nov. 20-22 by Gallup and USA Today as the Senate was acting to advance the bill to debate and reflect little change in attitude since earlier this month, after the House adopted its own version of a health-care overhaul offering insurance coverage to most of the uninsured and promising better coverage for those with insurance.
Independent voters are displaying a marked disapproval for a bill now. But “support among all three party groups has declined since the early October high falling by six points among Democrats, eight among independents, and 12 among Republicans,” Gallup’s Jeffrey Jones notes.’
This is what the CNN poll on health reform ACTUALLY SAYS:
November 17, 2009
CNN Poll: Americans split on health care reform
Posted: November 17th, 2009 12:05 PM ET
Washington (CNN) – Americans are split over the health care bill which narrowly passed the House of Representatives earlier this month, according to a new national poll – and the survey suggests the opposition to the legislation isn’t coming only from the right.
But despite the controversy surrounding the health care bill, the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Tuesday suggests there has been no change in the Democratic Party’s chances of keeping control of Congress in next year’s midterm elections, or in President Barack Obama’s standing with the public.
The survey suggests that 46 percent of Americans favor the bill, which passed in the House on November 7 by a 220 to 215 margin, with 49 percent of the public opposed to the legislation.
“Roughly one in three Americans opposes the House bill because it is too liberal, but one in 10 oppose the bill because it is not liberal enough,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. “That may indicate that a majority opposes the details in the bill, but also that a majority may approve of the overall approach taken by House Democrats and President Obama.”
You’re right sal .. anything can happen even in regular season. IMHO the whole team and coaching staff owns this loss. We continue to give up too many yards on kick offs/punt returns. Our corners and safety’s give too much cushion and are often beat. Of course we have injuries out the ying… but so does everyone else at this point in the season, difference is our bench is weak because we don’t pay people to sit the plank.
I had to smile though in the last 1:56 of regular play and the Ravens fell back to zone, poor Dixon looked like a deer in headlights.. LOL He didn’t have a 2 minute drill and had never seen a NFL zone D..LOL Poor kid..
There isn’t many plays you can call in that situation… Live to play another day…
Oh well it’s in the books.. On we go..
Liz, LOL as they say in Texas.. “God bless ya girl!”..lol
Have you ever sat in a room with a Catholic and a Southern Baptist and they are discussing the bible? I have..LOL It was amazing to me that the two “parties” involved in the conversation were speaking about the same book let alone the same man!
Bottom line we interpret what our own life experiences, bias, and personality perceive as reality…..
Tomato, tomato Republic, Democracy, Repubic democracy.. The difference is in the interpretation and context, and TIME FRAME the word is being used…… It’s the same word only you would never know it listening to the two sides describing it..
namaste’
WOW! Lee Greenberg always gets me standing. Beautiful song.
oops…Greenwood!!
Thanks Alisyn, nice try.
Good morning everyone. Did you miss me Liz (Aka, Lori)? I found it amusing that you actually accused Chas of not having any critical thinking skills. This, coming from YOU, the Obama Groupie-in-Chief. Anyone who CONSISTENTLY defends this INCOMPETENT president and this socialist Congress has absolutely NO critical thinking skills at all. I also notice that you claim that Rasmussin is invalid, inaccurate, etc. On what basis do you support your contention? I’m waiting………………! I’ve waited long enough. Just as I thought. You HAVE no basis. When anyone or anything PROVES you are wrong, you just SAY something nonsensical and then congratulate yourself on making such an intelligent and effective rebuttal. But I don’t really blame you. You really don’t have any choice.
By the way, I’m surprised Obama didn’t HIDE during Thanksgiving. I’ll bet the Secret Service was looking so hard for someone with an ax that they forgot all about the party crashers.
Also, what happened to the crazy White Power for Fox person? Did you decide he’d served his purpose?
Incidentally, I don’t care about Tiger Woods. What’s the big deal. He didn’t kill anyone. He has enough money to pay for the fire hydrant. If he was drunk, give him a fine, suspend his liscence, and leave him alone. If he and his wife were fighting, why is that anyone’s business? Why is this a story at all, let alone front page?
Liz, a republic is, quite simply, a political system which allows its citizens to ELECT their representatives. BUT a republic is not necessarily a democracy. That is why the USSR was a republic (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics); but it was NOT a democracy. It was not a democracy because the citizenry was not really in charge (in spite of what your comrade, IndyJoe says). They were not in charge because there was only one political party from which to choose, namely the Communist Party. The Soviet people were not in charge at all. They were spied on, imprisoned, manipulated, and bullied by the Soviet system. You should know that already. But since you DON’T study history, you don’t know anything about any of this. So, please refrain from saying that a republic is synonymous with a democracy. I know that you’d like to be led by only ONE party (the Dumbocratic Party); but we so far, we are more democratic than that.
Finally, there is no true democracy in existance; although the USA is closer than most (no thanks to the Dumbocratic liberals). The closest thing to a true Democracy was that of the ancient Athenians. They allowed all male citizens to directly decide issues affecting the city state. But, of course, they weren’t entirely democratic either; since they excluded women from decision making . I don’t know why the Athenians excluded women. Maybe it’s because their females were like you, Liz. THAT would have been a GOOD reason.
You don’t have to thank me for the civics lesson Liz. I try to be charitable to the less fortunate whenever I can.
Sterling, I by my adding my two cents worth about the definitions of these two terms, I don’t mean to imply that yours are inaccurate. I just felt that our friend Liz needed all the clarification she could get.
Rasmussen Report:
Those Who Rate U.S. Health Care System Good or Excellent Up To 49%
Friday, November 27, 2009
Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters nationwide now rate the U.S. health care system as good or excellent. That marks a steady increase from 44% at the beginning of October, 35% in May and 29% a year-and-a-half ago.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 27% now say the U.S. health care system is poor.
It is interesting to note that confidence in the system has improved as the debate over health care reform has moved to center stage. The latest polling shows that only 38% favor the health care legislation currently working its way through Congress.
Rasmussen Reports:
Health Care Reform
41% Support Health Care Legislation, 53% Oppose
Monday, November 30, 2009
The U.S. Senate is now formally beginning debate on a plan to reform health care in America, but most voters remain opposed to the plan working its way through Congress.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 41% of voters nationwide favor the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. Fifty-three percent (53%) are opposed to it. Those figures include 22% who Strongly Favor the plan and 40% who are Strongly Opposed.
Blogger – thank you for clarifying what a Republic is! By your definition I guess that’s NOT what we want in America, now is it???? LMAO!!!
WE ARE NOT COMMUNIST!!! Although we do have Corporate Communism – we are trying hard to get rid of it! BRING DOWN THE WALLS! LOLOLOLOL
The more you talk, the dumber you sound! Keep it up! I love it!
Hi Lori – good to see you coming around again. We have a new “Blogger” who is a real hoot. She thinks we are one and the same because there can’t be more than one “liberal” in the world, now can there? LMAO!
Have a great day!
Lori, I hear the south has a lot more Baptists and not many Catholics at all – although I think that might be starting to change! They are VERY different in their interpretation of the Bible…for sure! At least we don’t have wars in this country between the Catholics and Protestants like they do in Ireland!!! That’s something we sure don’t need, but the differences really are astonishing.
Later!
The term corporate communism is an oxymoron: MORON! Communism is (in the strictest sense) a utopian arrangement in which everyone has an equitable and/ or “FAIR” supply of resources. Corporations are not about fairness at all. Neither is free enterprise. They are about competition, which is the driving force behind our economy that has enjoyed unequaled prosperity for more than 200 years. You obviously, though, do not like competition. You want something that supports the notion of “from each according to his ability and to each according to his needs” (i.e. Marxism). None of us are surprised about this. But, do be careful to know the definitions of words you use, Liz. It might make you more credible than an average …ROCK.
I’ll agree with you about one thing, Liz. It’s hard for me to imagine that there is more than one liberal in the world. What is even more perplexing is that there is any at ALL. By the way, where were YOU during Thanksgiving? Were you hiding too?
When anti-trust laws are broken, there is not competition! What don’t you understand Blogger-moron?
The fact that anti trust laws exist speak well for our capitalist system. And if corporations break them, is THAT a rationale for abandoning capitalism and adopting a socialist, Obameconomy? You are amazing. I talk about apples, and you bring up oranges. It’s like asking someone , “Did you bring your lunch?” Then they answer, “My dad is picking me up”. HUH?
Yes, I brought my lunch!
Insurance companies have been violating anti-trust laws for years – with the blessings of the Bush admin. Finally, they are going to follow the rules. Corporate communism can only exist when our leader says it’s OK! We booted the party that allowed it because it enriched them and made us all poorer! Comprende???
If you are too stupid to understand capitalism, don’t even try to discuss it! LMAO!!!
per liz:
“If you are too stupid to understand capitalism, don’t even try to discuss it! LMAO!!!”
___________________________________________________________________________________
You should take your own advise….about that, and numerous other subjects, as well.
I am too stupid to discuss capitalism, so that’s why I discuss it every day.
Now if only the global warming hoaxers would quit violating anti-trust laws and tell everyone the truth about their research we might agree on one thing.

Observation from the back of the turnip truck. Insurance companies and insurance regulations have been around far too long to be blamed on the Bush administration. If memory serves me, it was the Democrats that screamed the loudest any time overhaul of health care, medicare or social security was mentioned!!
Environmental interest groups who destroy industry good!
Insurance companies who pay my bills bad!
Corporations that create jobs and give college kids scholarships bad!
Union thugs who beat up peaceful protesters good!
Corporations that make medicine bad
Organizing for America and ACORN good- take lots of tax dollars
Has anyone seen the list of pork/bribes Harry Reid is giving out to buy votes for the health plan?
Isn’t that what one would call a straw man argument? The United States is a Republic. No we are building a Democracy in Iraq.
This is a direct result of failure to study.
===============================
Blogger, I know lori fairly well. I give you my word that I in no way believe that she is the child. While she and I don’t agree often, we do have some agreements in politics and a respect for each other.
The child has neither her class or critical thinking abilities. I simply don’t believe that lori could play being that ignorant. Please drop that notion if you would be so kind.

I may have been born in the morning, but not this morning. This health care package, along with the stimulus are nothing more than poorly disguised reparations for minorities and unions, to maintain their support for the administration. If the Progressives really cared about health care reform they would have tried to correct the problems, rather than create an even bigger problem.

Thank you Chas I appreciate you setting the record straight once and for all. Several people have on here have made this same mistake and it does become tiresome.
You are correct, you and I differ, sometimes wildly differ, when it comes to politics. However that has nothing to do with the mutual respect and genuine affection for each other as people. I think we both have enough self esteem to understand not everyone is going to, NOR has to, agree with our every thought in order for us to “get along”. In fact, wouldn’t it be a boring world if we all did? Not to mention we as individuals would cease to grow.
Thanks again… I really appreciate your friendship AND your perspective.

It’s no fun being accused of being someone else. Trust me, as someone who’s been accused of being every new poster to this site who had a differing opinion than one, it does get very tiresome.
We know who you are, Lori!
Lori,
No thanks necessary. I just call them as I see them. I have no need to embellish or go overboard in your defense. Anyone can see the kind of person you are, if they take the time to read.
As we all know respect breeds respect. You are deserving as, at least to me, have never been anything but respectful even when we disagree. I hope I have been as faithful to that as you have.
chas
Lori, you’re ok with chas as long as you just talk football – other than that he does NOT like anyone who has differing political opinions – and everyone on this blog chases off ALL liberals in record time. Chas would be happy if I would die. He said something about “if I live” a few days ago – that’s how much he h-a-t-e-s ME!!! I’d never want to meet anyone like him in person.
I’m the only stubborn one who stuck around – but only to try to figure out what makes them tick, and stick with the party that “screwed” them. I’ve seen them attack you a few times – remember when someone was impersonating you? I think it was the “Dog”, but I’m not real sure. Anyway, you’re a sport for hanging around. Try to challenge them sometime and see how quick you get attacked.
Chuckie, you’re the straw man – and you are the “King of Cliches” – no doubt!!! LOL
Dollar for dollar, you have chased off more people than every “conservative” on this blog.
I don’t believe anyone will support your interpretation of the events here. You are in a room of one.
I have never attacked anyone here until they have crossed the line, which you managed to do on day one.
Lie to yourself all you want, it doesn’t change the facts.
Too bad you won’t ignore me as well as you manage to lie to yourself.
I don’t h a t e you, I pity you.
chas
There goes the neighborhood!! You betcha!!
The neighbor is fine, it just has one old worn, run down house in it.
chas
Good one, Chas. It is very tiresome. Too bad she can’t be more like Kevin and Lori! I like them. They know how to disagree with dignity and grace and they inspire that in others. I rather enjoyed talking to Lori over the weekend.
Pity, yep. You betcha.
I don’t go where I’m not welcome. But I was raised with MANNERS which is more than some can say. LMAO
Hey, I tried to be nice – it didn’t work for me – and if they were around as much as I am, it wouldn’t work for them either – and you all know it!
You are all nasty by nature – and mad at the world – but especially your president.
Chuckie – I like to think I’ve changed their minds – and that’s why they left. They finally realized that they were in the “wrong” party!
Well Chuckie – you should be happy about this….
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091201/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_us_afghanistan
I’m NOT! Will you pay for it? I’d rather see my tax dollars to toward the healthcare plan.
Oh no…..Dobbs wants to run for president????
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1109/29861.html
You just can’t seem to wrap your tiny little brain around the Constitution can you?
You can’t seem to grasp simple things like history.
I’m tired of trying to explain things to you that you simply will not attempt to understand, or lack the ability to understand.
You were never nice here, you are lying to yourself and everyone here AGAIN. I posted your nasty remarks from your first hour here months ago. I posted how I defended you from the first nasty remark directed at you, but you drove on.
But that’s your lie, just stick to it. Only thing you showed is that you are good at driving people away that just want a civil debate.
You keep claiming to be a fan of Democracy, let’s put that to the test. Everyone here that wants to see Liz leave say yea.
When the count is done, bet you think a bit less of mobocracy. Not that I think you would actually leave, but it just shows you for what you are.
chas
Yea.
I vote yea.
chas
You are soooo right, Liz. Our president is NASTY!!!
Yea!
In your dreams! LMAO! You leave – or give me some outrageous opinions! I can’t get much from you, so you are not really much of a player in my projects. Sterling and Carolynro at least know how to communicate so that I can tell what their opinions are! You are pretty much a blank slate – except for football I guess! LOL You say you know the Constitution inside out, but you’ve never drawn any correlation between the Constitution and what’s going on now that makes any sense. I think you want to think of yourself as a Libertarian, but being the warmonger that you are, that seems to be out of the question! What exactly are you?
Maybe someday I can figure something out – but your communication skills are so poor, it’s doubtful. All you ever do is pretend to be knowledgable, but no one has seen any evidence of that – at least not on this blog.
Have a wonderful evening
olinl – I’ve never seen anything much from you either – except that you live out of a turnip truck and you don’t have a president either.
Chuckie – if I left this blog would be extremely dull – everyone agreeing with all the “Fox” talking points – like it was when I first came here back in May because F&F was calling Obama an abortionist and picketing his speech at Notre Dame. Turned out the Catholic church liked his message, so that blew up in their faces didn’t it? LOL
Liz,
I’m only catching the last many comments here, but don’t leave.
The world’s largest atom smasher broke the world record for proton acceleration Monday, firing particle beams with 20 percent more power than the American lab that previously held the record.
The power of the Large Hadron Collider’s proton beams is essential to the project’s ultimate goal: smashing particles into each other with enough force to shatter them into the smallest building blocks of matter.
The early-morning test continues a recent sequence of successes that have elated scientists who were disappointed by the $10 billion machine’s collapse last year during its opening in a 17-mile (27-kilometer) tunnel under the Swiss-French border. The breakdown required extensive repairs and improvements.
Kevin, would you care to tell the rest of us why it is that you’re so enamoured by someone who’s clearly a shameless bigot?
Don’t worry Kevin, she’s too caught up in the negative attention to leave. It’s what keeps her around, obviously she gets no attention anywhere else.
Better a bit dull that bullchit. I can’t help it if you can’t read Liz. I’ve posted enough material here for any one to figure out where I stand. Oh wait, that’s right you never show up until after the show, so you have missed the many conversations cap and I have had.
You are supposed to be all that for research and such, figure it out yourself.
chas
Thanks Kevin – I know you’re hoping I can do some good here, but I’m afraid it’s hopeless. These people are beyond hope and they are ripe for brainwashing because they don’t have much education. Dog is a perfect example of extremism – and chas is here to play football and admire Alisyn. That’s OK. Maybe I’ll keep trying – who knows.
Have a great day – I have a busy one!
Looking forward to Obama’s speech tonight – I sure hope there’s a good reason for a military surge. I’m not happy about it.
I believe Cap is a true LIbertarian Chuckie – you are definitely NOT!
Good morning Liz,
re your 6 36 post:
You are correct Liz, Chas and I do get along when we talk about football, although we don’t always agree about that either! LOL People’s views on politics, sports and religion are just small parts of who a person is and IMHO not a very large part. Others opinions do not define mine nor do they threaten me if they differ from mine. I do not take them personally. I have been posting here a long time and Chas has never treated me with anything but friendship and respect. He dislikes LOTS of my views and says so, but that doesn’t mean he dislikes me as a person. Just as we do with every relationship in life, we all make choices to either get along with someone or not. We have chosen to.
Yes I have had my share of attacks from some of the posters on this site. I know who used my name to post, it was not DOC.
Sometimes we run across people who need to put others down to feel good about their miserable life. If they cross the line there are Internet laws that we can use to stop the behavior and they will be punished. I don’t know about you but I’ve been to middle school, I have no desire to go back. Some’s behavior is just childish and boorish, I treat them as I would a child, ignore their behavior until they cross the line, then it’s game on baby..;-)
Alisyn has opened her blog for discussion, it is a public blog, and you are as free to post here as the next no matter your opinion.
Sterling and Carolyn, thank you.
Go New Orleans!!! They put the smack on the Pats last night!!! I hope they go all the way and I hope they meet up with Indy when they get there!!
Great words, Lori. I’ve often said the same thing. There’s more to each of us than just the little piece of politics discussed here and elsewhere. Good friends are hard to come by, and we shouldn’t forget that they often come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and opinions.
See how the leftist media is trying to lie us all into accepting health care reform:

My apologies to Chas and Lori for offending your sensibilities. Lori, you are obviously a liberal, but apparently you are one of only a few liberals who have at least SOME redeeming qualities. And, you also have some fans on this blog. Given the fact that I have been proven wrong, I promise that my future posts to you will be amicable.
Now Liz, to you. I, frankly, would LIKE our conversation to one another to be more civil; but thus far, I have been unsuccessful at “turning the other cheek”. You seem to enjoy insulting others; and that tends to grate on me. I have allowed myself to get sucked into behaving as you do. I admit, there have been times I have ENJOYED insulting you; and I am not proud of that. Poor Lori got caught in the crossfire between you and me. I do not buy your statement that you are “doing research”, that you’re trying to find out what makes us tick, etc. I really don’t know why you’re here. I have speculated from time to time. It really is irrelevant. The point is that you ARE here. I cannot speak for others on this blog. They can do what they wish. But until your behavior and attitude toward others on this blog improves, I will not respond to anything you write. I welcome disagreement with my point of view; but I do not welcome what YOU are doing. Lori is living proof that simply being liberal does not bring antagonism onto anyone’s head. You ENJOY demeaning others; and you need to cut it out.
Just one more comment. I also don’t buy the argument that you only insult others who insult you. I read your comments to Clint whose post was as sweet and diplomatic as any could possibly be. You insulted him and demeaned his point of view. I’ve never seen his posts since. If another Mother Theresa posted a comment on this blog that ran against the grain of your devotion to Obama, I feel confident you’d insult her too. So, don’t even bother with another excuse.
Lori. You have shown that you are not a part of the “Search Out and Destroy” segment of the progressive movement. As far as I am concerned, all points of view are respected here.
But. Don’t call me stupid, ignorant, bigoted, racist, redneck, nasty or any of the other adjectives used to describe those with different opinions.
Facts and truth are always respected here.
Facts and truth shouldn’t include bigoted, racist and nasty – which are attributes seen a lot on this blog! Watch what you post! It’s not that hard really. I will always call out the people who show me those things, and you are included!
Blogger, you do NOTHING but insult liberals like they don’t deserve to live – just like chas!
BTW, I don’t know how many times I have to say it, but I’m not liberal. I’m a progressive-leaning Independent!!!
Blogger, I can’t use much of anything you post anyway because not much of it makes sense – even in a “conservative” way! You are NOT conservative in the traditional sense of the word – but neither is the Republican party!
You are exactly right Lori – but the fact that this blog is all about politics sort of blurs out everything else. I’ve tried to joke with these people, but they are too political and serious about it and they don’t accept any part of who I am. That’s OK though – you know I have an agenda. I don’t need “friends” on the internet. I use it for research only!
Have a nice day girl
Namaste.
My football picks,
New England over New Orleans..lost
San Francisco over Jacksonville..won
Pittsburgh over Baltimore..lost
Cardinals over Titans..lost

Bring on the facts and truth. You betcha!
Fact. The Democrats are in control in DC.
Truth. The Democrats cannot and will not tell the truth about any of their proposals.
Truth. the Democratic party is beholden to labor unions, community service organizations and minority groups, from whence comes their support.
Fact. If the Democrats continue to ignore the majority of Americans, their reign of power will end shortly.
Perhaps all this adolescent nonsense has been a good thing. I’m hoping for a new beginning on this blog–one consistent with this time of year. You know . . . peace on Earth; good will to men (and liberals). Anyway, I’m afraid our man Obama is between the devil and the deep blue sea with his Afhanistan decision. It looks like he’s ticking off everyone on the left AND right. I’m also wondering how he plans to pay another 30 billion dollars per year in order to sustain this war. We’re already BROKE for Pete’s sake, and it looks like we’re going to be broke for the rest of our lives. How do you pay for a war, reformed health care, stimulus, and everything else we’re doing without bailing out on at least SOME of it. I predict that he will bail out on the health care issue. I believe he knows it won’t pass anyway. The need for more troops in Afghanistan might provide him a convenient rationale for dropping the health care issue which has become a political ball and chain around his leg. He has always stated that Afghanistan was a necessary war; so if he pumps more troops into the war, he has the chance to be a winner rather than a loser which is what he will be if he continues this health care nonsense. What say ALL of you (Polite and respectful disagreement is welcome)?
are you conservative or what? they wanted war! remember how they criticized him for not sending the troops right away? what a bunch of bigots! they talk out of both sides of their mouths.
Well said olinl.
who would be polite and respectful to someone who is so h a t e ful? not me! healthcare WILL pass – duh!!!
Fact: The Democrats will be in charge for a very long time – so get used to it! Nobody likes liars and bigots and people like Ensign and Sanborn – E Street bigots!
Oops – I meant C Street bigots – they lost their tax exempt status! LOL
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/11/c_street_house_no_longer_tax_exempt.php
Well Liz, I hope you get the info you need to complete your project, as I have said before it’s a worthy one. One I would love to read upon completetion.. BTW have your read David Plouffe’s new book? The Audacity to Win? It’s EXCELLENT…
If I could ask one favor of you, some of these people on this blog I view as “friends”. Would you please take the high road and rise above the vitriol when dealing with my friends? Continue your research and post your political opinions, but from one proud “progressive” to another, please be kind with your words when it comes to my buds, and if that isn’t possible just ignore them? In my tiny little mind I would think Obama would want us to listen more than we talk. To use a lame football analogy..LOL The offensive scores more points, occasionally the defense comes up with 6 but that’s rare.
namaste’
JAB, I am tickled pink you think I have SOME redeeming qualities! LOL Your apology accepted.
Well Lori, I’m tickled pink that you’re tickled pink. The SOME redeeming qualities are your personal attributes, which make your political views so very unfortunate. However, I am hopeful that if you continue talking to conservatives on this blog, we’ll be able to steer you into a more enlightened direction. A nice person like you does not DESERVE to be so tragically misguided. By all means, let’s continue our conversation.
Conservatives did, in fact, clamor for additional troops in Afhanistan. Many liberals in Congress, however, wanted NO troops being sent. In fact, they wanted to extract the ones we had to begin with. Now, Obama is faced with alienating the left AND right. If he igores Afghanistan, he negates his statement that Afghanistan was a just war. If he puts more troops into that country, he infuriates his own buddies in Congress who want to turn tail and run. That is what I meant in my previous post.
Lori, well said….many of us disagree on this blog bet we keep it issue centered and never personal.
bet = but
Lori,
Well said, hope everybody will take your advice.
Ensign, Sanford, et al are all big boys. They don’t need me to defend them, and I won’t, for the very reason that they are dishonest, not only with themselves, but also with the public. They are not representative of the Conservative movement, any more than Jack Murtha and William Jefferson are representative of the Progressive movement.
There is plenty of corruption in Washington to go around!!
Thank you Lori. I appreciate your comments. I too have been concerned with the lack of respect. I don’t comment here often, but I do read the discussions and appreciate the views of those who disagree with me politically as long as they are presented in a logical, respectful manner.
Anyone remember the Trojan Horse?
With all due respect to those on this blog who hold a “progressive” point of view, I am a little ambivalent about what the term means as applied to today’s issues. The term “liberal” has fallen a little out of favor in many circles. I wonder if progressivism is another name for liberalism that is even farther to the left. I’m all for progressivism in a LITERAL sense of the word. Who doesn’t like progress? However, in our zeal to “MOVE ON (I wonder if that’s where MoveOn.org gets its name) toward something that is THEORETICALLY “better”, I am concerned that we’re hurting ourselves along the way. To use a more simple illustration, the need to get across the street is no reason to walk in front of an oncoming bus. Not everything we have been doing is wrong. New is not always better. Traditional and “tried and true” are not always “OLD” and PASS’E . Some of the “progressive” stuff we’re attempting now does not make sense economically OR politically. For example, any government that simply prints money without any thought about what it will eventually do to the value of its currency, interest rates, and the overall economy is STANDING in front of an on coming BUS. This kind of thing has been tried before and it did exactly what economists say it usually does. I don’t know why we smear lipstick on donkeys and try passing them off as beautiful stallions. They are JACKA-S-S-ES. They were discovered years ago; so why try to make them look cuter?
JAB, it goes without saying I don’t speak for all progressives and I am certainly no authority when it comes to history. I can only tell you what MY meaning of a self described progressive means to me. Before I do, I have to say I don’t really belong in any category in total. Personally I am a mix of many things.. a mutt if you will ..;-)
The progressive movement was born in the 19th century and has several different era’s…The primary idelogy behind the movement is :
Man is capable of improving the lot of all within society. Kinda of the antithesis of Darwinism, something we believe the rich and powerful subscribe. We also believe the church should stay out of government, everyone in society has a voice even the poor and uneducated. We also think the government has a role in making things equal for all and not just leaving it up to the rich and powerful to control. In short we believe our society’s success and wealth of all is only as strong as our weakest among us.
Without getting too wonkish, that is the best I can do to explain the views of progressives. I hope this answers some of your questions.
Also, for the record, the political term liberal and progressive are not necessarily the same. At times the two factions have even been at odds with each other. Having said that they do have overlapping ideals. So I could theoretically be a progressive and not a liberal or I could be both. All of which could be good democrats.
Thank you Lori. You have clarified some questions. I was already somewhat familiar with the HISTORY of the the progressive movement (Jane Addams, the Hull House in Chicago, etc.). I know that initially their philosophy was one that called for informed action (i.e. the populace makes changes at a grass roots level as they become better informed). The progressive movement as it existed and was led by Jane Addams, Lillian Wald, and others did some very good and noble things. They improved education and public services substantially in Chicago and New York.
However, the term “Progressivism” left our vocabulary for a long while, at least to a large degree. Its ideals followed us all the way into the middle and late 20th century. Many of the ideas of the New Deal, for example, were very “Progressive” as were some of the ideas from the Kennedy and Johnson years (I remember, for example, VISTA and the Peace Corp, both of which were not BAD ideas at all.
Some of the ideas of those who say they are progressives now, however, are putting us on a “slippery slope”. The government already owns much of the auto industry. If they take over health care, it will be another 1/6 of the American economy. We fought two wars against socialist ideology. I lost a first cousin in Viet Nam. Socialism has proven that it does not work. I fear that is where progressive thought is taking us.
Exactly JAB, some of the things you hear Obama say will remind you of the …….JFK, peace corps volunteer, ask not what you can do…..etc .
The idea that government is formed from “grass roots” level might put you in mind of the recent election. Community organizer will also be something you recognize.. meaning empowering the poor and voiceless… So yes you have the concept.
Equal opportunity does not necessarily quarantee equal results. Therein lies the big difference. It is NOT the role of government to balance the equation.
Well it is not my view that progressive= socialism. First they refer to two different things. Socialism is a type of economy, progressive is a political ideology. So IMHO the two can not be compared.
Some would say I’m paranoid–that I’ve been listening to too much Beck. The truth is can see for myself some of the things this administration is doing, and I am extremely uneasy. We have a president who appointed an admitted communist as one of his advisers (Van Jones). We have a president who has spoken openly about his desire to bring about “redistributive change” in America. This sounds laudable as long as we’re not TAKING from those who worked hard to succeed and handing their hard earned rewards over to people who don’t want to work, who are NOT ambitious, who only want a free ride at everyone else’s expense. I encourage you to read a book called “The Russians” by Hedrick Smith. His description of what the Soviet economy became as a result of INCENTIVE being taken away by the USSR’s socialist government should deter ANYONE from trying to emulating them.
Finally, I agree with you to a point about religion being separate from government. However, there are some issues (like abortion) that transcend questions of religion. They come down to questions about what one believes about life. Murder is not solely a religious issue. Its degree of justification is not relative; rather it is absolute. In terms of other issues, everyone has a right to believe what they want as long as my rights as a citizen are not trampled in the interest of affording the expression of others’ rights.
Is it the role of government to support underachievers while providing for the abortion of potential over achievers? Progressives believe in equallity except when it comes to the right to life.
For example, one has a right to practice homosexual behavior; but it is MY right to demand that my child not be taught by him in school or led by him in a boy scout camp. It is also my right to believe that homosexuality is a CHOICE and to express that belief without being assailed as an ignorant homophobe and bigot. Life is NEVER all or nothing. Few things are either black or white. So much gray exists in our world, doesn’t it? I believe you agree with me that it is not a cookie cutter world in which we live. I worry about anyone or any person who believes he or she has all the answers. That’s what Hitler did; and as you know, Nazism didn’t work either. (Whew, I’m finally finished for now!).
Yes progessives think everyone has the right to believe or not believe .. including what is “murder” and was is not.
So as not to appear to be skating the issue I will tell you life is calling. I am leaving to assist my life long friend in saying goodbye to her daddy tomorrow morning and I have a longggggggggg do to list still waiting for me.
namaste’
here we go Steelers here we go..;-)
Although Progressivism is a political ideology, it holds that economic equality (or at least, equity) is the best way for us all to go. Politicians generally have to DEAL with economic issues, especially once they are elected. The way they deal with those issues to often is influenced by their political ideology. So, it that sense, they are not mutually exclusive at all (IMHO). One is a means to an end for the other. Does this make sense?
Olin re 12 28.. yes that is the difference.
OK Lori – and thanks for your input here! Once the attacks started it was hard not to become defensive, but I am not that way by nature – as most of these bloggers are. It just made me mad the way they degraded the president. I may say bad things about Bush but I would never degrade him in any way.
Have a great day – I’ll read your remarks later – in and out today!
the redundancy here gets to me! I’ll try to let it slide…….
Liz, I will happily respond to your last post. I can understand your anger. I doubt that anyone INITIALLY set out to make you mad. Politics is by necessity an emotional topic because it affects us in profound ways. I care a great deal about what Obama does because it affects me and my family. No elected official is above criticism. It is he or she that chooses to run in the election to begin with. I know you do not agree with what I’m about to say, Liz; but I genuinly felt deceived when Obama began doing the things he is currently doing. I did not vote for him; but I genuinely believed he was simply another liberal, similar to Clinton. I figured that since we all survived Clinton, we could survive Obama. But, he is FAR from being just another liberal. It was only after he was elected that he began doing these RADICALLY far out, left wing things that I know in my heart and head can not be good for America in the long run. I do not believe in BLIND allegiance. It is DANGEROUS. Germans were blindly loyal to Hitler; and you see where it got them. I have always admired FDR. He led us through the Great Depression and the most destructive war in world history. BUT, I am NOT blindly allegiant to him. He was a human. He made some terrible foreign policy decisions. He also could have done more to stave off the inhumanity we exhibited toward Japanese Americans. Obama is human too; and at the present time, I believe he is making some HORRIBLE decisions.

Jimmy, we’re breathing from a new atmosphere now. I’m trying to tone down the vitriole. I hope you will also.

Number of Democrats in USA falls to 4-year low

I would never compare Bush to Hitler, because I am smart enough to know better, but you have no problem comparing Obama to Hitler and believing conspiracy theories. You have to be extremely “uninformed” (OK, I won’t say stupid) to believe any of that. This is the USA and we are a Democracy – and we always will be. Obama has a birth certificate and he has a Bachelor’s and Law Degree! He knows what he’s doing!!! He may not make all the right decisions, but they won’t be as bad as the ones made during the past 8 years – I can almost guarantee that!

I thought there was going to be an attempt at civility yet again.

instead of calling someone stupid or uninformed…..try backing up your disapproval with pertinent questions or substantial contradictory information….no need to be insulting
we can all be civil in here……try it for a while….and you may be surprised at the response you receive….
it seems that I remember we got along fairly well for a couple of weeks…in our discusions about jazz and Bob Fosse…maybe that can be a starting point again?
I will lay down the olive branch…if you will?
Thank you for your comments lori.
But it has been tried before. I think I’ll mostly stick to the ignore mode.
Thanks for your view.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 60% of voters believe passage of the health care legislation will have the opposite impact and increase the deficit. Nine percent (9%) say it will have no impact, and 14% are not sure.
Seventy-five percent (75%) also believe it is at least somewhat likely that middle class taxes will have to be hiked to cover the cost of health care reform. Fifty-nine percent (59%) say such a tax increase is Very Likely.

Obumma uses the term Unprecedented…………….

I guess she is just perfect like her Hero OBumma…………. The thought of hearing BO speak at West Point makes me ill…. He is so anti military…… and it is obvious
I never called anyone a name they didn’t call me first Merle — that’s a fact!
OK, you older people should be happy with this…..
In its report, the budget office compared estimates of premiums in 2016 under the new legislation and under current law. In either case, after seven years of inflation, premiums would be substantially higher than they are today.
The budget office said the analysis of premiums was extremely complex, so the experience of individuals and families “could vary significantly from the average.”
“In general,” it said, “the proposal would tend to increase premiums for people who are young and relatively healthy, and decrease premiums for those who are older and relatively unhealthy.”
Under the legislation, it said, the average premium per person in the individual insurance market would be 10 percent to 13 percent higher than under current law. But, it said, most people in this market — 18 million of the 32 million people buying insurance on their own — would qualify for federal subsidies, which would reduce their costs well below what they would have to pay under current law.
For people receiving subsidies, the budget office said, premiums would be 56 percent to 59 percent lower than under current law.
Carolynro – give the polls a break. They mean nothing. There’s a lot of debate that has yet to happen.
71% Angry at Federal Government, Up Five Points Since September
Monday, November 30, 2009
Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government’s policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry.

Meaningless? You betcha!!
From Pew
Fully nine-in-ten say that national economic conditions are only fair or poor, and nearly two-thirds describe their own finances that way – the most since the summer of 1992. An increasing proportion of Americans say that the war in Afghanistan is not going well, and a plurality continues to oppose the health care reform proposals in Congress.
Actually, once again, it is not the truth.
It started with you and will continue with you. Your limited vocabulary and inadequacy in history and other subjects leaves you little option but to call people names.
Reality just doesn’t exist in your little la la land any more than your so-called project.
The truth will set yo ufree. Try it some time.

OK, you older people should be happy with this…..But, it said, most people in this market — 18 million of the 32 million people buying insurance on their own — would qualify for federal subsidies, which would reduce their costs well below what they would have to pay under current law.
*******************************************************************
And just who do you think is being taxed to provide the subsidies? Hmmmmmm? Just answer straight up….no name calling no lying no excuses. Just find out and post your findings…..I already know the answer but it would be refreshing to see you do some actual research.

seven issues tested in the poll.
Americans Still Leaning Against Healthcare Legislation
November 30, 2009
As the Senate prepares to take up debate on healthcare legislation, Americans tilt against its passage, with 49% saying they would advise their member of Congress to vote against reform and 44% saying they would advise a vote in favor.
You have to do the math Carolynro – and if you are a small business you would also be eligible for subsidies to cover your employees! The CBO has already done it – go look at their report.
And, according to a CNN poll, most people who are against the healthcare legislation want it more liberal!!! They are not siding with the GOP!
I thought you were going to ignore me Chuckie! I’m ignoring you! You are not worth my time. Please don’t address me again. Thanks!
This poll is 2 weeks old – sorry about that….

Carolynro, I’m sorry if you’re wealthy and selfish, but think of it as doing something “good”!
Reid called it a bill that “saves lives, saves money and protects Medicare — makes Medicare stronger.”
Earlier today, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released its estimates of the bill, said to cost $849 billion over 10 years and cover 31 million Americans who are currently uninsured.
Ninety-four percent of Americans would have insurance under the legislation, according to estimates. The bill would be paid for with a menu of taxes on the wealthy and also on people with high-cost, all-inclusive insurance plans that currently are thought to drive health care costs up. It also would cut spending on Medicare.
Fantastic!!
You betcha!
KABUL – The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan said early Wednesday that NATO and U.S. forces will hand over the responsibility of securing Afghanistan to the nation’s own security forces “as rapidly as conditions allow.”
Gen. Stanley McChrystal, in a statement issued in Kabul just before President Barack Obama formally announced he was sending 30,000 more U.S. troops to the war, said his main focus will be to develop the capacity of Afghanistan’s army and police.
“We will work toward improved security for Afghanistan and the transfer of responsibility to Afghan security forces as rapidly as conditions allow,” said McChrystal, who planned to fly around Afghanistan to visit U.S. and international forces. “In the meantime, our Afghan partners need the support of coalition forces while we grow and develop the capacity of the Afghan army and police. That will be the main focus of our campaign in the months ahead.”
In his speech at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., Obama said that while the U.S. and international community will continue to advise and assist Afghanistan, “It will be clear to the Afghan government — and more importantly, to the Afghan people — that they will ultimately be responsible for their own country.”

Germany’s most wanted fugitive was captured Tuesday after a five-day manhunt, when police knocked the escaped murderer off the woman’s bicycle he was riding along a rural road near the Dutch border.
Peter Paul Michalski surrendered without a fight after an unmarked police car deliberately crashed into him, knocking him off the bicycle onto the grassy shoulder of the road.
The 46-year-old, who was serving a life sentence when he escaped from prison last week, was carrying a pistol.
Heavily armed police commandos had raided a number of buildings in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia searching for Michalski following his escape from a high-security prison in Aachen. An accomplice in the escape was captured Sunday.
Designer jeans labeled “Made in North Korea” will go on sale this Friday at a trendy department store in the Swedish capital, marking a first foray into Western fashion for the reclusive communist state.
The jeans, marketed under the “Noko” brand, carry a price tag of 1,500 Swedish crowns ($215) and will share shelf space at Stockholm’s PUB store with brands such as Guess and Levi’s.
Noko’s founders told Reuters they had spent over a year trying to gain access to factory operators in North Korea, and struggled with poor communications and an unfamiliar approach to doing business once inside the country.
That is disgusting and degrading crackdog! The GOP is finished. Yesterday Cheney accused the president of treason for trying to clean up the mess that he helped create in Afghanistan! He is murdering his party. If Ronald Reagan were alive today he would be a Democrat. His son Ron is a frequent guest on MSNBC and he can’t believe what’s going on today and says his dad would be appalled. They are hitting fresh new lows every day and setting a horrendous example for young Americans. Fortunately, most people can see right through all the BS, except of course the “fringe” base of the GOP, which is all they have left.
Wilkerson says he doesn’t recognize Cheney anymore – thinks he’s totally crazy – and he was in charge of intelligence under Cheney….watch the video….disgusting!!!
http://video.mobile.msn.com/en-us/detail.aspx?uuid=254e7f49-46e0-457e-a359-1d0f568cda33
If there were a just world both Cheney and Bush would be on trial for war crimes! But you are right Liz, Cheney has gone around the bend! He is one dark dark dark man.
I think were all smart enough to know that he’s keeping quiet because he’s got much more to hide than the the wreck. I’d like to be a fly on the wall at his home, poor Tiger. WAS, before this, the perfect man. Now past tense.
Cheney may be perceived as dark, dark, dark by some; but I’d rather have the “evil” he gave us than the evil we’re getting now. Specifically, I’m talking about putting American Navy seals on trial because they ALLEGEDLY gave a terrorist a fat lip. I’m talking about giving Miranda warnings to terrorists. I’m talking about conducting a terrorist trial in New York only blocks from the place where their “most glorious achievment” occurred. Now, these fanatics have a forum in which to spew all their h-a-t-r-e-d for America. I’d rather have an administration that was h-a-t-e-d by terrorists than one that is RIDICULED by terrorists.
With regard to the war, my only question is, “Why are Democrats SUDDENLY worried about COST???? They certainly weren’t worried about debt when they began the stimulus (aka, the PORKULUS), the omnibus, and the bailouts, and the health bill. We now have a 12 trillion dollar debt that we and our grandchildren must pay, because the Democrats have been SO CONCERNED about the debt! In a few years (if it even takes THAT long) the economic consequences of over spending and the helter-skelter printing of money will be knocking on our door; because, of course, the Democratic liberals in Congress are SO concerned about debt. It is astonishing to me that Obey has enough nerve to show his face on national television and talk about his supposed concern about spending to pay for the war. Has he no sense of shame at all?
I am neither wealthy, nor selfish…Once again you refuse to look deep inside of the garbage you post to see what is at the root of all this spending….where in the Sam Hill do you think the “subsidies” come from? A money tree? You are the selfish and wealthy one here. Everything you tout translates into what can the government do for YOU. When money is “given” to a group it comes from someone elses pocket. Why is it that you cannot wrap your brain around that concept? Just shifting money around between different interest groups does not solve institutional and systemic problems.
You can proclaim this and that for as long as it makes you feel good but someone has to pay the bill and you, whether you have stumbled across it at your left wing media sources or not, are the target. Congress will be circling you like a bunch of sharks once it depletes the adults who have been in the work force for 40 years are depleted of their money.
Please try to get past the obsession with trying to prove you are the smartest person in the room and start digging into your own party with as much zeal as you go after those who are no longer in power. You should arm yourself with ALL information and stop trying to “one up” people here who have no ability to affect what the country is facing. You are wasting your time with us.
Exactly JAB: Why are they worried about money now? I think they see in their internal polling that some dems are getting very nervous about the deficit and what the cost to their political futures will be if they don’t get off the high they have been on since November 08. The party is over….they need to sober up.

Number of Democrats Falls to Four-Year Low
Tuesday, December 01, 2009
The number of Americans identifying themselves as Democrats fell by nearly two percentage points in November. Added to declines earlier in the year, the number of Democrats in the nation has fallen by five percentage points during 2009.
Frankly, I am not worried about what our people did to Kalid Sheik Mohammed (probably spelled wrong). He murdered 3000 of OUR men, women, and CHILDREN! If waterboarding him was a war crime, SIGN ME UP FOR THE NEXT WAR CRIME! I’ll tell you what should be a war crime: If we deliberately choose NOT to do ANYTHING we need to do in order to extract information from terrorists who (1) have ALREADY murdered our citizens and (2) have vital information about others who plan to murder more of us, then WE are criminals if those terrorists are successful in carrying out their evil schemes. I would also say that such naivete’ borders on TREASON, because by deliberately avoiding necessary action and,thereby, allowing death and destruction to be visited on Americans’ heads, WE, in effect, are aiding and abetting the terror perpetrated against our own citizens. Now, no doubt, you’re convinced I am a dark, dark, dark man as well.
Lori, I recall your explanation of how you view progressivism; and you said something to effect that progressives believe that we can do things to make others’ degree of prosperity better rather than relying on a “survival of the fittest mentality”. I agree that we should help others around us. However, you and I have a much different idea about what “HELP” looks like. I believe the best way to help many folks is to NOT help them. When we just continually hand out money to people , we must be careful not to communicate the idea that these folks are helpless–that somehow they’ve been given a raw deal, and therefore they are entitled to Nanny Fed’s protection. Yes, by all means, provide help for the short run; but at some point, many (if not most) of these folks need to help THEMSELVES. We bailed out and BOUGHT out the large corporations, and by so doing, we said to them and to the world, “You CAN’T DO IT ON YOUR OWN. YOU NEED US. NANNY’S RIGHT HERE WHEN YOU NEED US.” Do you see what I’m saying? When we DISEMPOWER people (and corporations), we relegate them to a life of subserviance and helplessness. We limit their potential and keep them in the same rut year after year. AGAIN, I am NOT saying that we should not provide help FOR the short run. But I believe we do a disservice to the unfortunate when we disempower them and then ENABLE them to stay dependant. I, frankly, believe that is what too many progressive ideas are about.
Only 2 percentage points, Carolyn? What a shame! I was hoping for about, I don’t know, 50 percentage points.
Carolyn, I notice that the poll you cited states that 71 percent of Americans are ANGRY over the policies of the Federal government. I don’t believe “angry” adequately describes my emotions at the present time. I am feeling downright FURIOUS. I am ready to storm the Bastille (so to speak). In all my life (and I can remember every president from Kennedy until now) I cannot remember ONE president other than the current one that has taken America down a path that is so far adrift
from the attributes that made us great. I am CONVINCED that this president and the liberals in Congress who are aiding and abetting him are in danger of DESTROYING THIS COUNTRY. I am very, very, serious about this!
hi JAB…..the majority of us in here agree with you.
It is early, JAB! There is still Cap and Tax and Health Care and the War to fund!
I agree with your 9:34 post in it’s entirety.
It is not what people believe in or the party they belong to, for me. It is the stubborn refusal to evaluate the consequences of the policies and the lack of means testing and that adjustments to policies are never made when things go wrong. Spend, spend, spend….the left screamed for Bush to change his war strategy yet they never scream about the decades- old social programs that are riddled with fraud and which have become hammocks for generations and which only make us feel like we are “helping”. It is not good enough for me tfor political parties to espouse theology that picks winners and losers and attends to/thrashes only the parts of the budget that disagree with their partisan sensibilities.
Those of us who know something about history and politics have seen many of these policies attempted before……saw the damage they did….and there failures. Yes, it makes our emotions run high, and that often results in fierce discussions here.
Well, JAB, when my husband is willing to talk politics, I know how deep the anger goes! He usually rags on me for being so interested in the economy but now? not so much.
Hiya Jimmy!!
Hi Carolyn!
Good Morning from down here in Bubbaland. Where are all my little Progressive amigos today? I hope all is well in your world. Things are not so good down here what with all the layoffs. They have even stopped cutting trees since the lumber is not needed for construction and no one reads newspapers anymore.
Mr. Obama is having a meeting with union leaders and community organizers to fix the job problem. If the unions get any more involved ALL the jobs will go overseas and there will be nothing for the community organizers to organize except a bunch of unemployed thugs.
Amen, Bubba. Look at my state and see what happens when Labor Unions run the companies…..
Did you see that correspondance from ACORN has been uncovered that reveals a political strategy to oust republicans? I wonder if Eric Holder will even bat an eye at that one!
Off to the races….
Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for joining me and Lori in trying to reduce the animosity on this blog. I am as guilty as anyone of being part of it. I got irritated and began spewing garbage of my own. I was reprimanded a couple of times by various people for my vitriole (Capmotion and Clint) and I purposed in my mind that I would lay off it; but I failed. Now, I’m more determined than ever. I’d like to see this blog become a place where healthy dialogue can flourish. Thanks again for your agreement in this.
JAB….I will not be the first to break the “new peace”. That’s all I will promise. But I must say, I feel a little like Chamberlin and Appeasement… LOL
I haven’t been around here very long but what is all this be nice B… S… about. Our country is going to Hell in a handbasket and you say be nice. Give me a break. Being nice is how we got here in the first place. Throw out tolerance with the dishwater and we have a good place to start.
BUBBA
Hello carolynro. I hear you. there once was a textile industry down here.
BUBBA
Bubba…several of us were guilty of letting our disagreements get the better of us…and reverted to name calling, insults, etc…..we are only trying to establish a more civil level of discussions here….not check anyone’s opinions……just how we exchange them with others….
Yes, Bubba,
I must admit that many times I don’t WANT to be nice; and Jimmy will verify that at times neither of us WERE nice. The only bad thing about getting into a verbal slugfest is the fact that the dialogue STOPS! You can’t win ANYONE over to the correct way of thinking if you antagonize them to the point where they don’t want to even listen to what you say, and all they want to think about is how to retaliate against YOU. It also takes the fun out of reading or writing posts–at least for me.
well said JAB
Okay Jimmy and JAB. Can I call you JAB? I get your drift. No more bashing Progresseevos just what they spout off about right?
BUBBA
just remember the Trojan Horse, too! LOL
Matching wits with unarmed people is easy as sliding down a greased hill.
BUBBA
Yeah, Bubba.
I’ll bash what they say, but I’ll try not to bash THEM. Of course, I’m not sure we’re gonna have to worry about it anyway. I’ve not heard from them in a while. They may be mad. Maybe we’re getting the cold shoulder (Sigh). By the way, Bubba…WELCOME! It’s always good to talk to another American!
exactly! LOL just ask pertinent questions, ask for reliable sources to back up statements (not opinion), etc…..
Welcome Bubba. All points of view are welcome here. We just need to attempt to keep it impersonal.
ok…got to clean up a little….and take my mother some lunch…..bbl….
I’m presently reading Glen Beck’s “Common Sense”. I don’t know how the rest of you folks feel; but this guy is disguised genius. His education is not as impressive as others; but he was the first to talk about Obama’s commie “Green Jobs Czar (Van Jones). He was also the first to report on Acorn and the first to tell us about the NEA’s propagnda agenda. Other people like O’Reilly basically said, “Yeah, but communists have been discredited. I’m not worried about them.” Now, we have … SOMETHING … in the White House who is unlike anyone I’ve seen. I don’t know whether to think he’s just a far left liberal, a flaming socialist, or a progressive (That’s a liberal on steroids for those of you who don’t know). Anyway, I highly recommend Beck’s book. The guy is brilliant, in my opinion. He appears eccentric and IS from time to time; BUT brilliant people often ARE eccentric.
Of course Beck is a genious…
I just wanted to add that every government controlled agency or government regulated company that our business has had to deal with is innately subject for people to cheat or to commit fraud. I often feel guilty that I have not worked outside our business (with the exception of a short stint working at CURVES!) since 1986. But, because I have had the time I have personally dealt with employees who have learned how to pretend to be hurt, pretend to be unable to find work while taking MY money through the unemployment system, started up new companies while taking MY money through the unemployment system, and have gamed the Work Comp system( right along with the physicians who make very good money to keep a person as a patient for as long as possible. I have mostly been successful at proving the fraud but the system is designed to advocate the employee position and only because I am a committed anti-fraud individual was I able to stick with these cases and get most of them reversed. But, these experiences taught me that the government is wonderful at creating beaucracies that people can game but are horrible at the clean up when the person whose pocket is being fixed finds fraud and expects the government to clean it up. They don’t. I have had to learn to know the law and how to make cases against individuals. It has made me very strident, I admit but I am the only one who will look out for us!
If Bush and Cheney should stand trial for war crimes then so should Slick Willy! For that matter, Bush 41, Reagan, LBJ, Truman, FDR and the poster boy of “progressives”, Woodrow Wilson (an open White Supremacist and major supporter of eugenics who segregated the military) would all have been charged with war crimes!
And Liz, if you’re out there . . .
I was not comparing Obama to Hitler. I was comparing an attitude of BLIND allegiance to him to the attitude the Germans had toward Hitler. One can be blindly allegiant to a good guy as well as an evil guy. I think Obama is a “good guy”. But, I also believe he is an INCOMPETENT good guy; and he is not one to whom I would DEVOTE myself or any BLIND allegiance. NO mortal man gets blind allegiance from me, even if I like him.
JAB, I’ll tell you what “progressives” are. That’s just what fascists here in America like to call themselves. The so-called “progressive” movement (There’s really NOTHING about it which constitutes actual “progress”. It’s actually REGRESSIVE if anything as it seeks to employ pre-American forms of tyranny and barbarism) of the early 20th century has it’s roots in the same ideology and philosophy which created fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Having had their racism satisfied by LBJ’s policies which trap minorities in dependency and poverty, they have since morphed their bigotry into elitism.
Sorry Dog, wrong party. It’s the “conservatives” who are repressive – especially towards women! They love war and pushing their beliefs (religious and otherwise) on “others”! They don’t belong in this country (well, that’s harsh, but it’s the reality of the new GOP – nobody identifies with them except the pundits on Fox and their crazy followers)!!!
Get a clue!
I agree DogOnCrack (I wonder what that would look like). It dont take no whole lot of brains to figger out that the government cant take care of everybody cradle to grave if they dont have no money to do it with.
Glenn Beck crucified Van Jones because he was a founder of the group “Color of Change” – which is the same group that led the e-mail campaign to Beck’s advertisers after he made racist statements on FOX! Beck is NO genius. He’s just a guy who’s out to settle old scores – he’s pitiful and disgusting!!! I’ll admit he does have a following of pitiful and disgusting people who are just like him! Sad!!!
Oh great – now we got a BUBBA!!! You people are hilarious!!! LOLOLOLOL
I dont know about the progresseevos being regressive, but I figger we would have a lot less problems if wimmen would learn how to keep their pants on.
BUBBA
OK Carolynro – I think I understand your obsession with polls – Hannity is also obsessed with them. His show last night was horrific. He tried so hard to get his guests to bash Obama, but the former head of Intelligence wouldn’t do it. John McCain started out positive about Obama’s speech, but by the time Hannity was done with him, he was negative on it! Hannity is a plague that won’t go away. Sick!!!
Bubba – go back to your fishing boat!!! LOL
Dam. Where did she come from. I thought you guys said it was okay to say what you feel here. Dam.
BUBBA
I agree with you, Dog, that these SUPPOSED war crimes go back a long time. But I think that’s the rub with our liberal friends. They believe in their heart of hearts that AMERICA is one, collective WAR CRIMINAL. They seem to believe that everyone else in the world is a VICTIM and that America (the country that provided their education and the one that allows them by its First Amendment, to BERATE their own country without fear of being imprisoned or executed) is evil and has done nothing but exploit others. If you listen to them long enough, you’d think the world would have been better off without America. If you believe them, you’ll be convinced that we’ve never given a dime to help the world’s hungry or that we’ve never lost a soldier for the cause of SOMEONE else’s freedom. Heck, if you believe them, you’ll be embarrassed to be an American (but you’ll go on accepting her benefits, of course).

Where is your proof? Cite your sources. What do you think about all the men in the democrat party whom have fathered illegitimate children? (Conyers, Jesse Jackson, for example- which in my opinion is the epitome of abusing women- both the mistress and the wife). What about the hatred spewed by Reverend Wright? Come on …let’s see some proof that Beck has an old grudge. Prove it.
What about the woman who Clinton bit on the lip while kissing her and told her to put some ice on it. What about Ted Kennedy who regularly had public sex with young women? And the congressman who had homosexual sex with a congressional page? Let’s see your list of GOP members who are anti- woman. and if you mean the Pro-life members…..believing in life is not a form of abuse of women is a real stretch. and show me the GOP members who are forcing their religious beliefs on the rest of us. Let us have some facts for a change.
Careful Liz, you’ll say that I’m pitiful and disgusting; and that would hurt my feelings. I’m trying to be nice (a stretch for me!); and I’m even trying to get my other conservative friends here to HELP me be nice. I’M REALLY TRYING; so why don’t YOU help me be nice by hiding your true feelings about my character and intellect? I hope I’m not asking too much. Thank you so much.
Bubba, if you go fishing, I’ll go with ya. Some of my best friends are Bubbas.
I dont know about giving no drugs to a dog. Never tried it. I did get a goat drunk on beer once, but it was Billy Beer so I wasnt really wasting it.

This is completely backwards! Color of Change went after Beck for dissing their boy Jones after he resigned. It’s okay to not like Beck, but to make up stories like this is scandalous!
Uh Oh. My mistake. That was CARP not CRAP.
BUBBA
And Liz, Dog didn’t say Progressives were rePressive. He said that they were reGressive–meaning they might take us backwards rather than forward (as the name Progressive falsely suggests). Besides, I believe the Obama and his crowd are probably more rePressive too. They’ve already tried rePressing Fox News (Isn’t that a denial of the Constitution’s guarantee of Freedom of the Press?). I’m also hearing talk about how this new health care bill, if it passes, may FORCE us all to pay for abortions, even though our personal convictions are against it. These are only a couple of examples of signals from this administration that they are gonna be pretty darn rePressive.
Oh Denise: how dare you correct the record! LOL!
Denise, I’m not sure, but I believe I alluded to what I’m about to tell you in a previous post; so if anyone has already heard this story, I apologize for the redundancy. Anyway, when I was a child, I read comic books a lot. There was a group of characters I read about who lived on the planet, Bizarro. In Bizarro, everything was opposite from what it is on Earth. Good was bad. Pretty was ugly. No one wanted a PRETTY girl. Tidy was messy. If a child’s room was too clean, his mom might ground him until he messed it up. Anyway, when people see and tell things bass ackwards from everyone else, I can’t help but think of Bizarro World.
Liz…you are already starting to ridicule others in here…thought we were going to play nice? If you don’t agree with an opinion….back it up with facts……not insults.

They don’t belong to this country.????

Back up your statements with facts….not yopur opinion…if you want to be taken seriously.
Yes, the conservatives are repressive…..concerning the outlandish gowth of government, wild spending, and the gradual elimination of our individual rights and freedoms….as well as seeeing an admininstration that treads upon our Constitutional rights. That is where the true tyranny exists!
We love war?…Kennedy kept us in Viet Nam….committed us to stay there….even though it was Eisenhower who put us there in the 1950s when the French couldn’t handle the situation and asked for America’s help…yet again. LBJ kept so there longer, and finally Nixon got us out.
“Get a clue” is the same as calling someone stupid.
Let’s get our facts right….and try to be civil.
I don’t see how we can be considered to be repressive concerning women….we ran Sarah Palin, didn’t we?
The Dems. threw Hill under the bus.????
And no one is “pushing their beliefs” on others…they are merely stating what they stand for…..to show a clear and distinct difference from many of the extreme liberals who have positions in our government…thanks to Obama, his appointments, and his Czars. There needs to be a clear picture of who stands for what….so voters can see them in a true light and make their decisions at the voting boothes.
I think she is trying to break us, Jimmy. I’m determined that I’m not going to sink into that rut again. BUT, I’ve already stated what I intend to do if she keeps it up. I’ll give this as much time as I’m inclined; but I’m tired of playing patty cake with insults and innuendo. I won’t do it forever. I encourage you and everyone to take the same path I intend to take. If the insults continue, I will cease responding to any post that hurls them.
Oh, and let’s see….”They don’t belong in this country”??? That is not for you to decide!
JAB…..this scenario has been ongoing since last May….but the ball is in her court…..if she cannot…or will not respond accordingly….have at it!

“the reality of the new GOP – nobody identifies with them except the pundits on Fox and their crazy followers)!!!”

let’s us let the 2010 and 2012 elections determine that, my dear
Ya know, Jimmy and JAB. I was sitting on the porch a while ago trying to describe what is happening here. Ya know there is nothin nastier than a womman with terminal PMS. She will infect everythin she touches.
BUBBA
No Bubba, I don’t mind you calling me “JAB”. That’s what I’m best at doing; although my left hook isn’t bad either.
play nice, bubba….. lol
Bubba, have you ever listened to Earl Pitts? In reference to PMS, he commented that colonial people used to HANG witches. He sounded as if he believes that’s what we should STILL do. I’m not about to say that I agree with him (or you). My left hook isn’t THAT potent! And I gotta tell ya, if any woman near and dear to you reads your post, SLEEP WITH ONE EYE OPEN. Ya never know what they’ll do if properly stirred.
well..it will be interesting to see how things progress….even though I don’t expect much of a difference than when we tried this several other times….sma actions….same results….
got some honey-do jobs to handle….bbl….
Ya know. I used to be a Democrat, kinda like Robert Byrd (he’s the senator that Nancy Puloosy would look like with out the hair dye plastic surgery and botox) but without the racism. Now I am told that if I stay conservative I have to leave .
My question is if the conservatives all leave who will turn out the lights.
BUBBA
I have to go find some more polls to post LOL
Bubba, I’m a lifelong resident of West By God Virginia and a staunch conservative libertarian.
I’m also very well to do and Byrd’s senate seat is mine whenever that old crow kicks the bucket!
Okay I found a poll:
Colorado governor’s 2010 race:
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Colorado finds Ritter trailing Republican challenger Scott McInnis by five points – 44% to 39% – in an early look at next year’s race for governor.
Go for it Dog!
Gee…it looks like the left has been fooling alot of the world over this climate change hoax. Imagine all the money that has kept people at universities and research tanks trying to perpetuate the Human Caused Global Warming myth to keep their gravy train running. I always say: follow the money!
Jab,
People that don’t read history can’t figure things out well The American revolution was a more in a positive direction, not a progressive direction. It moved people away from tyranny towards freedom and individuality.
Progressives moved in the opposite direction moving people to be more dependent on Government and to have less freedom, which is a move backwards.
Which is why the Constitution was written with the expressed object of limiting the power of the Federal Government.
chas
exactly correct, Chas….the people who fled Europe to come here…for a variety of reasons at first, including making money for the trading companies, etc…….wanted (by the Revolution) to establish a place of personal freedoms, less government interference, less taxation (without representation)…and a chance to create a new, productive….and yes, richer life….
the Yankee idealogy….hard work and productivity……
Thank God the Founding Fathers were the truly intelligent and creative men that they were. The world had never seen anything like America. And people fled here for personal freedom and a chance to make a life they wanted….not one the government ditacted for them.
Here is Emma Lazarus’ entire poem….inscribed on the Staue of Liberty.
________________________________________________________________________________
The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she
With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
Today Neil Cavuto had a democrat congress woman on after the passage of the law that allows a government panel to step in BEFORE a bank is in trouble, on the suspicion that the bank is in trouble and go through it’s books and determine the pay of the employees and some other things that I cannot remember right now. Wow…..the fox is in the hen house. When is the government going to start monitoring it’s spending and practices?
Jimmy: My husband just finished Atlas Shrugged. He was pretty freaked at how close that novel was to what is happening today.
I have not read that poem since high school. thank you
This was written for those from a ravaged, elitist class system, war torn, and impovorished Europe…..who wanted to become legal citizens of the USA.
Yes, indeed and it looks like the Obama agenda is to punish achievement and to make us all like the Europeans who crawled here on fumes to escape exactly what he says is his “vision”. The only problem we have is we have no place to crawl to when we are all broke and unable to heat our homes.
These are the people who understood, believed in, and fought for the very ideals that made this country great. I think their children must be crying out now….to see what is happening here today….their families saw it happen before….that’s why they came here. And the very chance that it could happen here must be frightening to all.
hi Carolyn…I’m just in a mood today….can’t understand those who do not appreciate our country….and can’t see what might be happening…..very depressing….
Absolutely. Cries for impeachment would be heard if this administration were republican.
Well, Jimmy I am here.. It is very frustrating to have your own government fighting against it’s own people.
I just ordered a copy of Atlas Shrugged…want to reread it….it’s been a while….but I do remember how much it bothered me….and now …to see it happening….amazing.
I heard that the far left is furious with Obama for sending more troops. I wonder what my good buddy, who is uber liberal and voted for Obama over the war but who was a huge Clinton fan, is thinking now. She is laid up and can’t come out to play but I cannot wait to see if she shows any signs of disappointment in Owarmonger.
Ok, must go eat…you hang in there. See you soon!
Citizens of this country are required to file an income tax return annually, reflecting their earnings and the taxes paid on those earnings. I would like to see an income tax return or similar doc ument from the federal government, as well as the state and local. I would like them to give me a line item return showing their income (a misnomer if ever one existed since they have no income, only coerced funds hijacked from working citizens) and their expenses. Perhaps this already exists, in some form, but I think that they should be required to mail this form to every citizen from whom they extorted money in every calendar year. I don’t care what party is in power; this needs to be published and mailed to every citizen, every year.

And I had to start again,
just my children and my wife.
Id thank my lucky stars,

and they cant take that away.
And Im proud to be an American,

Go Sterling! I’m right there with you. We need real representatives…not POLITICIANS!!!!!
Denise – this is WRONG!
This is completely backwards! Color of Change went after Beck for dissing their boy Jones after he resigned. It’s okay to not like Beck, but to make up stories like this is scandalous!
Beck went after Jones AFTER the Color of Change email campaign to get his sponsors to drop him. I don’t have to prove it – it’s the TRUTH! Beck’s racist comment was made on F&F last summer. Jones quit a few months later.
He was perfectly qualified for his job – and Obama didn’t even know him. He was not a big player – but I don’t blame him for quitting to get FOX out of his personal life. FOX is the reason many qualified people in this country won’t run for office. Who wants FOX dragging skeletons out of their closets – and if they don’t find any, they make some up!!! It’s sick.
Jimmy, you are not the only proud American! ALL Progressives are just as proud, and I bet that at some point in your life you were a Democrat – and don’t say you weren’t. I KNOW BETTER! You live in the south!
Liz ,May I ask why you are so bitter? You attack anyone who doesn’t agree with you. Everyone here is try to be civil and you go blowing off again.
Congress spent $300,000,000 on flowers, donuts, pizza, furniture, office stuff just in the first quarter of the 2009? While thousands of families are losing their homes….hmmmmm.
John: She is just emulating her heros on MSNBC…don’t take it personally. They are all ill-behaved over there and that is where she cut her teeth…

John, I don’t think I’m bitter at all. I think everyone else here is bitter. Funny how that works isn’t it? I see you all as lost and miserable and it makes me sad, really that you put your faith in people who will lead you right off the cliff and into the depths of despair and ruin, but that’s your choice – not mine!
If you want to know how the “mainstream” (majority) thinks, watch this website….
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/heather/frank-gaffney-tells-ron-reagan-jr-his-fath
Even Ron Reagan has defected – and his dad would too. Watch him point out how utterly idiotic the right wing really is. This cannot be denied!
This is my favorite comment from that website….
Coward – that’s the right word….to describe every one of the PNAC, neo-con, right-wing Republicans who do NOTHING but shoot off their mouths (except for Cheney, who shoots his friends).
They are greedy, good-for-nothing political hacks whose notions of foreign policy and America’s hegemonic role in the world are archaic – and that’s being polite. Gaffney’s ideas/policies along with those of the other neo-cons have brought nothing but misery to millions around the world, and have enabled the corpora-fascists to hijack America.
Gaffney, Perle, Kristol, Cheney, Wolfowitz, the whole lot of them are zionist cowards who are more than willing to murder for their ends. Despicable people….
Fantastic! You Betcha!! Utterly Fantastic!!
The corporate takeover of America…..just for you olinl (or is it Sarah?)

Hey JAB – are you male or female?
Yeeeesssh! Get a life, you betcha!!
An Army psychiatrist who may face the death penalty after the mass shooting at Fort Hood was charged Wednesday with 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder relating to the scores of soldiers and two civilian police officers injured in the attack, military officials said.
Maj. Nidal Hasan has already been charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder after the Nov. 5 shooting in a building at the Texas Army post where soldiers must go before being deployed. Witnesses said he jumped on a desk and shouted “Allahu Akbar!” — Arabic for “God is great!” Army officials have said he was armed with two pistols, one a semiautomatic capable of firing up to 20 rounds without reloading.
The additional charges come less than 24 hours after Hasan’s civilian attorney was notified that the Army plans to evaluate Hasan to test his competency to stand trial as well as his mental state at the time of the shooting.
LONG LIVE LORD CHENEY!!!
YOU BETCHA!!!
When work began in 2004 to build the world’s tallest tower, Dubai’s confidence also was sky high with a host of mega-projects on the drawing board or rising from the sands.
That swagger seems positively old school these days. It’s been tripped up by a debt crunch that has humbled Dubai’s leaders and exposed the shaky foundations of the city-state’s boom years — leaving the planned Jan. 4 opening of the iconic Burj Dubai with a double significance of hello and goodbye.
It will be both a debutante bash for a new architectural landmark and a farewell toast to Dubai’s age of excess.
The Burj Dubai — a steel-and-glass needle rising more than a half-mile (800 meters) — may be the last completed work from Dubai’s time of the giants. Most other of the unfinished super-projects announced in recent years, such as a second palm-shaped island or a tower to surpass the Burj Dubai, are either recession roadkill or being considered on a far smaller scale.
Just who do you think creates jobs in America if not the corporations?
Oh, and they give scholarships to kids so they can go to college for 10 years….
Answer me…who hires people? Who makes things? Who brings you your gas so you can drive from ‘Troy to Dearborn everyday? Hmmmmm?
I dont usually throw a lot of names around unless I know the facks. But didnt little Ronnie Reagan diss his Daddy at his funeral? I dont think little Ronnie was ever a true believer in his Daddy, what with him being a ballet dancer and all.
Mornin Carolynro. Should be a good day for polls.
Who does public employee retirement plans invest in? Corporations. God, you are so ridiculously naive!!!
And no cares what leftists on some website think about conservatives. anyone can say anything they want to but it is nothing but opinion. Conservativsm is roaring back…but since you refuse to listen to credible sources whom actually fact check their topics before broadcasting you are at a great disadvantage for opening yourself up to the truth. But, carry on while you live on corporate “welfare”.
I think we are preaching to the choir here Carolynro. Se ya later.
These stupid union/progressive/liberal hacks that are supporting things like cap and trade and other Obama boondoggles are so dumb. They blindly support an administration which, if it gets most of what it wants, will kill off the jobs, the pension fund sources, and corporations that these stupid thugs work for.
Thanks Bubba….I agree. And yes, Ronnie behaved very badly toward his daddy.
Carolynro – you don’t understand the implications of corporate communism, and that’s too bad for you! You’ve been “raped and pillaged” by them! Open your eyes! Learn something! Read those left-wing blogs. They make much more sense than anything posted on right-wing blogs…..if you have any common sense, which you haven’t demonstrated here.
You should thank your lucky stars they are NOT in power anymore, and hopefully won’t be again until they can get their party off the fringe and back to the center! As long as they let the “idiot” pundits on Fox speak for them, they don’t have a chance. They are reeling from Obama’s success and getting desperate. The more desperate they get, the more outrageous they become – and that’s what’s k i l l ing them.
I don’t drive from Troy to Dearborn every day! I live in Ann Arbor…where we bought a house in the historical district, which qualifies us for a grant! Yay! (ut oh, now you know where I live)
There’s nothing wrong with corporations – as long as they play by the rules. They sold us out and sent most of their jobs overseas, where companies like IBM can pay tech support people 20,000 per year instead of 60,000, which is what they would have to pay in the USA…and they were encouraged to do that with subsidies from the Bush admin. What a great President! Sold out his own people.
Well, it sure made the CEO’s a lot richer – and that’s what we really want, don’t we??? LOL We don’t want jobs, we want billionaire CEO’s!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I guess you see your glass as 1/2 sideways.
Most of those companies went overseas because of the tax burdens imposed upon them by our government, as well as environmental limitations. They can’t afford to stay profitable when doing business stateside.
Who’s rules? don’t you dare lecture me on how the world works. What is wrong with being rich? And there is no one different in power as have always been. The government is not your friend, child. At least with corporations, profit drives efficiency and productivity….government makes people lazy and complacent. Grow up and learn a few things about reality. If you ruin the corporations for some moralistic ideal that life can be fair you are in a world of hurt. Show me how government is any less corrpt or purer than corporations. Government does not answer to anyone and in fact is far more corrupt and wasteful than even the worst corporation in America. The government needs corporations as a source for the blood it lives on. You are totally wrong about Bush. It was Clinton who encourage corporations to go overseas when he raised taxes back in the 1990’s. do us all a favor and take off your beer goggles and try to get some facts into your posts. It would be refreshing to have you come up to my level of education and information trail in the discussion
Interesting that you should ask, Liz. I am MALE. Gotcha! You have been referring to me as “she” and “her” for a while. I didn’t bother to correct you. I didn’t think it was really relevant to anything. But now you know. I am a guy who was a little concerned about my pal Bubba and his safety, especially if he continues making remarks about women, PMS, etc. I discovered many years ago after marrying my dear wife that just ’cause you might think it, it doesn’t mean SAY it! Life is easier that way. I imagine that you and I may agree on something for a change.
Anyway, I remember that you don’t really trust the Rasmussin poll because you believe it is biased for Fox. But I was listening to Hannity, and he cited SEVERAL polls, one of which was Harris. It indicated Obama’s approval rating at 42 %. That is pretty low; and I don’t think it bodes well for the Democrats in ‘10 or ‘12. Just thought I’d give you a heads up. Now, you’ll have plenty of time to prepare your concession speech to your fellow bloggers.
That is correct Sterling!
Liz prefers a glutonous government who can take anyone’s money at any time and as much as it wants over corporations who answer to private boards and shareholders but cannot hurt the private sector arbitrarily like the government can. Fantastic!
Looks like he’s still around…..
Van Jones, President Obama’s controversial former “green jobs” czar, serves on the advisory board of an independent environmental organization actively working with the White House.
Jones is one of 20 advisers to the University of Colorado–based Presidential Climate Action Project, or PCAP, which draws up climate-policy recommendations for the White House and has been working with members of the Obama administration.
And look what these pimps for government grants have done to corrupt the “science” in order to keep the piggish source of tax dollars for their consumption going! You like the fact that people that have shaped public policy and possibly the way we live have been found out to carry out hoaxes to keep their pockets lined? How are these people any different that the corporate people that you rail about here? Greedy, self serving, liars have fudged data to make idiots like Obama and the rest of his socialist buddies write legislation that could put the final nail in the economy of America. But not before we hand over our tax dollars to countries that will never be able to evolve because their governments are even more corrupt than ours is.
OK, I give up! It must be much better in the La-la land you all live in! You don’t understand much of anything – and there’s not much I can do about that. Listen to the desperate pundits and repeat all their talking points. It’s what you do best!
Have a nice day
So what ….the entire green movement has been outed. So answer me….do you think the government is any purer than corporations? Who does the government answer to? Politicians are elected and booted but the beaurocrats live on forever! You’ve seen it a university…ineffectual befuddled professors who hang on forever and have outlived their relevancy but because it is impossible to get rid of the dead weight, the universities are full of them.
Just like you do dear except we listen to people who research before they talk!
And once again, Obama is holding a summit without bringing in any credible experts that would tell him what he needs to know but doesn’t want to hear. What an infantile man he is.
Bush was savaged for his slow response to Katrina but this a-hole is getting a free pass on the unemployment which has been far more devastating to the country than that hurricane. I am sorry about the hurricane victims, don’t get me wrong. It is the lack of proportionality between how a republican is treated over a disaster and how a liberal is treated over an even worse disaster that affects the entire country.
At the present time, dear Liz, I don’t think Hannity is desperate (if he’s the “desperate pundit” you’re referring to). All he was doing was citing polls–about 6 or 8 of them, in fact. I will have to concede one thing though. I doubt the Harris’ poll’s accuracy. I think Obama’s approval rating is probably much lower than 42 percent. I believe 2010 will be very PROGRESSIVE in the TRUEST sense of the word. A lot of these Democratic liberal “pork” sellers are getting booted out. THAT is what I call PROGRESS!
Rasmussen Reports:
Republicans continue to lead by seven percentage points on the Generic Congressional Ballot. Forty-two percent (42%) of voters say their own representative in Congress deserves to be re-elected.
Now your hero Jon Steward is dissing Al Gore. Shouldn’t that tell you alot. Global warming HOAX!!!!!
Yes ,you are bitter as your always on the attack.
All Hannity can do is cite polls because that’s all he’s got! So sad! Carolynro keeps the polls going here. I hope she’s on Hannity’s payroll! LOL
I can’t read all the stuff posted here lately – but I really got you guys talking! Lots to do today. Knock yourselves out!
Global warming is a fact? Don’t question us because the climate change controversey is settled? I don’t think so. And Comedy Central scoops the mainstream media? Well, more accurately, they reported what the mainstream media is trying to hide. Talk about bad timing, what with the Copenhagen thing just around the corner!
http://tinyurl.com/yf3tkow
The purpose of government is to better the lives of the people! Yes, I trust Obama more than I trust corporations who sell us out and rip us off! No brainer!
Good news just out on jobs report! Listen to the business news – CNBC!
I don’t blame Hannity for quoting polls. The are indicative of how the next two elections are going to look. They’re good news for me. They’re good news for America! Carolyn, thank you so much for sharing your polls with us. They brighten my day!
I have to wonder what role Obama has is covering up the Climate-gate scandal. I’ll have to listen to Beck. I’m sure he’ll know.
What’s CNBC gonna tell us, Dear Liz? Are they going to repeat Obama’s claim that even thought the jobless rate us 10.2 %, his Porkulus bill has “saved” hundreds of thousands of jobs? (Yawn). I’ve heard it before.
Job summit without the chamber of commerce? That’s what i would call a union payback. LOL Most transparent adm ever? LMAO!!!!!
The government cannot make people’s lives better you shallow, insipid child. If government is so wonderful why are people lining up for money to pay their utilities at COBO hall? Why do millions remain on the welfare rolls after the government has spent nearly 4 trillion dollars on the War On Poverty? Why are the schools all broke? The government more often robs people of their ability to become autonomous and successful. It gives people a false sense of security which is now being tested big time while the schools who, with taxpayer money, spent millions that are now no longer available because government tax receipts are down 30%. I don’t watch Hannity so I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t need pundants to know how to think about issues.
We are educating you not the other way around and don’t forget it. For you to think that anything you say has created one new thought just displays for all to see what a poser you are.
Say hello to Dr. Suhay for me.
Global warming-Climate change is a Scam- they are investing taxpayer money in companies that they are investing in. Climategate: it’s all unravelling now http://bit.ly/4zGSkd
And government and liberalism robs people of common sense. When you don’t have to think for yourself and don’t learn how to get out of trouble on your own you never grow up. Millions of welfare system gamers have figured out how to work the system but can’t manage to figure out how to get themselves out of the situation they are in. It is called generational poverty. And it has been sponsored and fostered by the government.
Hi Sal: Sure am glad to know that being a global warming denier was a good thing
Good Morning Carolyn.
JAB: Brett Baier reported last night that $590 billion has yet to be spent from the “stimulus” money. So, if the economy is improving then it must be from the efforts of the private sector!
My school district is in deep trouble so the $5 million that Joe Biden dropped off in Lansing last summer was not enough. over $3 million has been cut here with the potential for another $2 million next year…and that is with the teeny stimulus that they are still hoping to get….
OOOpppppppps! The first time unemployment claims filed last week is 457,000….not quite what the polls that liz likes predicted. Wrong again…must be hard to find oneself wrong so often….
We as individuals know best how to make our lives better. The government must steal from the wallets of many men in order to make another man’s life better. Because one man is better at the expense of others, the benefit is suspect at best.
I can’t wait to see what our local liberal global warming news paper guy writes tomorrow. He will likely come up with some twisted way of explaining why the data was fudged!
Amen, Sterling. The cramming down our throats that government can make life perfect must stop!!!
Even Bill Clinton caught on to that but Owelfare repealed Clinton’s policy.
It’s a shame that we can’t impeach Obama NOW and vote Pelosi, Reid, and all the Democlowns out of office IMMEDIATELY. We could get the Porkulus bill rescinded and then get our $590 billion back.
Where would big government be without corporations, companies, wage earners, etc. you know the tax payers. It will be interesting when the trucks and trains stop running, planes stop flying and we are all back to walking, bicycles or horses. I have yet to see food grown on concrete or in the classrooms of academia, but then Im just BUBBA.
JAb and Bubba: Well we are sort of seeing what a government looks like when it’s policies thwart business growth. Only when pain is felt will the people see that government is a huge PIG and that it is killing the very source of money that it has decided to vilify and and to regulate until they are no longer profitable!
Yes, Bubba.
The last time I heard (and it may have even dropped more by now) government revenues from taxation were down 18 percent. So, when Obama, Pelosi, and Reid (the 3 stooges) get finished, we’ll have a 12 trillion dollar debt to pay off with 18 percent less money with which to do it. Isn’t that exciting?
What the liberals don’t get is that to bemoan the large profits corporations make is to bemoan capitalism. Their beef is not just with poor ol’ Bush. Their beef is with the American system that hasn’t done any of us any good (unless you count that little thing of being the most prosperous and BENEVOLENT country in world history). They will deny to high heavens that they are socialistic in their aspirations, but have you heard of any OTHER group that is out to get capitalism to this extent? Obama’s ideas about “redistributive change” sound a lot like “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need”(Marx). Also, do you know of any OTHER president (even liberal ones like Clinton) who appointed a Marxist to ANY position in the White House? And of course there’s SEIU’s head (Andy Stern) who loves quoting Karl Marx (“Workers of the World Unite!”). Even some from the same crowd that deny Obama is a socialist are now OPENLY saying we should be more socialistic (Howard Dean, Michael Moore, to name only two). Do you think they feel emboldened for some reason? I never heard anyone talking that way during any OTHER presidency I can remember? Can you?
I’m bemoaning super capitalism – which you all apparently don’t get – and that’s why you are so ripe for brainwashing! Go on and follow the losers – OR – get an EDUCATION!!!
I don’t think Marxists have any influence on our government! We are a DEMOCRACY – remember????
You are just paranoid JAB! Get over it! Van Jones was not very influential – except with climate issues! Doh!!!
I did some research for you JAB….this should blow your mind – if you have one….
Why the difference between 2004 and 2008? Why was FOX News in the tank for Obama, the leftist Marxist communist, after trillions had been made on the war in Iraq and middle America has been left high and dry?
Well, one need not look further than their own personalities. Neil Cavuto is a former Carter administration intern. Charles Krauthammer worked for the Carter Administration and was a Mondale speechwriter. Bill Hemmer is a former CNN personality. John Gibson is a former Hollywood insider and NBC personality. Brit Hume worked against the Nixon administration, the Marxist foe, and tried to bring it down with scandals. Feminazi-in-chief Marxist Greta van Susteren is a Marxist Georgetown graduate, Scientologist, and former CNN personality, and her sister was a DNC candidate for Senate. Mort Kondracke is a former intelligence officer, Marxist Georgetown graduate, and on the list of known Nixon opponents.
Rupert Murdoch’s first big journalism controversy was working to free an aboriginal who murdered a young Australian girl. His mother’s name was Greene, a toss up Jewish name. He was a big supporter of the Marxist Australian Labor Party, which recognised Communist China and supported public ownership of industry, and Marxist British Labor Party.
That is just a sampling of the overwhelming Marxist influence at FOX.
per Liz:
“I’m bemoaning super capitalism – which you all apparently don’t get – and that’s why you are so ripe for brainwashing! Go on and follow the losers – OR – get an EDUCATION!!!”

Thought we were going to play nice-nice…..or try to….
Your comments are opinion….not facts….and we don’t really need this remarks, do we?
And…we are a REPUBLIC!
And yes, there are thousands of lobbyists, etc……for businesses and group agendas…so there are many influences we need to moniter, don’t you think?
I think all lobbyists should be outlawed.
Let them work through their Congressmen, as the ordinary citizen is expected to do.
OK Jimmy, I don’t know how many times I have explained it – countless – but no one understands it. It’s frustrating! They defend the corporations that brought this great country to its knees! It makes me mad – what about you?
Does anyone know what happened to our sweet, ever endearing Liz? She seems to have disappeared. Oh, well. I won’t worry about her. Won’t give it a second thought. Hopefully, the next time I interact with her, she’ll be an adult. But while we all wait on her return, I’ll continue spewing my venom as often as I can. I know you all enjoy the insults I hurl at Obumma and Peloser. I’ll keep checking your poll citations too, Carolyn. Keep ‘em coming. They hearten me, and if our friend Liz returns, I know they will enlighten her poor dim, obscured political vision.
By the way, if I haven’t said it today, Obama is a dimwitted, naive, Marxist who is a cowardly, confused LIAR and LOSER; and those who idolize him DESERVE to live under the consequences of his presidency, which are SURE to ensue. (Now that Liz has left us, I can speak my mind without worrying about hurting her feelings).
No comments about the Marxist personalities at FOX Mr. JAB? They are all OK with you? LOL You contradict yourself in every post! Totally not worth reading!
I remember when Brit Hume was a “flaming” liberal! LOL That’s when I was “conservative” – when it made sense!
JAB – could you put some substance in your posts – they are SO DULL! C’mon, you got sumthin dontcha?
are you going to prove me right – that you don’t have a mind to blow??? (oh, well – I thought as much)
What a total waste of taxpayer money! You Betcha!!
Absolutely Fantastic!!
In case the rest of you don’t “get” what I’m trying to do, I intend to NEVER respond to Liz again until she grows up and acquires some common decency and manners. As far as I’m concerned, at the present time, she does not exist and neither do her posts. I will not read her posts at all, regardless of how many she sends. I ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO DO THE SAME. Later (and the prospects are unlikely) if we EVER get the feeling that she has come to her senses, we can still respond to her. For the present time, however, I refuse to allow myself to be sucked into her adolescent behavior again. I WILL NOT BEHAVE ANY LONGER AS SHE DOES. You all do what you want.
What a cop out! You just don’t know how to say anything do you? Just criticize with no basis for any of your ridiculous comments! But that’s what most do here – repeat all the “FOX” talking points!
Have fun!
All B.S. and you know it Liz, Stop telling lies it doesn’t become you.
JAB. You just need to become accustomed to getting a violent response to anything that is not from the Progressive point of view. They will shout you down, talk over you and always, always get in the last word, no matter how ridiculous!!! Be brave my man!!
And BTW. It was not large corporations that brought this country to its knees, it was an overregulating, overtaxing and overspending government. Blame it on anyone you wish, but that is a fact, Jack!!
JAB, I don’t know why you are so afraid of something that will benefit all society, not just a few. Just how much do you know about Karl Marx other than what you have learned from high school? Marx looked at the world and noticed how unfair it was. He came up with a philosophy that he believed would rectify those inequities. You and no one on this blog should be afraid of communism. Liz is right. Van Jones was not a threat. He could have helped America if Beck and all the other reactionaries of this world had not conducted their witch hunt. Andy Stern is right to quote Marx. Workers of the world need to unite. And they will too. You and the other reactionaries on this blog need to roll over before you get rolled over. Communism is coming to America. It is already in the White House and its spectre is hovering over the rest of this nation as well. It is an exciting and wonderful time, whether you know it or not.
Nature is unfair. Life is unfair. Since when is it the role of government to make everything fair? And please give us your definition of fair!!!
Love your friends Liz. ie. Indy Joe
If I build my house on a slippery slope and it crashes down to the bottom of the hill, is it the role of government, then, to destroy everybody’s house to make it fair? How far is does fairness reach in your world? Because it is obviously vastly different than my world.
If you build your house in an area where mudslides are common, then NO – unless you have “mudslide” insurance! LOLOLOL
Benefit which part of society, Indy Joe? How could Jones have helped our country? Which part? The people like Al Gore who have preyed on the ignorance of the sheep who believe government is on the up and up? You cannot prove positive what has been disproved all over the world every place socialism has been tried. You cannot make poor men rich by making rich men poor. You cannot be for socking it to corporations and small business while at the same time overlooking the PIGGISH gobbling up of tax dollars that the government does. It makes no sense that any one could believe that government- which reports to no one- can be trusted to look out for any interest other than itself. European countries are turning back toward capitalism after decades of high taxes and high unemployment. Why would we turn a blind eye to that?
Let me correct you…..the Bush admin. was under-regulating, under-taxing and overspending government!!! Now, go ahead and dispute that. We waged 2 wars and cut taxes – what was he thinking??? He left the Gulf coast high and dry while rebuilding the infrastructures in Afghanistan and Iraq! He encouraged large corporations to send jobs overseas and we had a huge trade deficit on top of all that. Everything he did was working AGAINST us – the American people!
Sorry, I can’t love him like you do!
But remember, in your world there are no insurance companies, just government!!
Yes, there are insurance companies who play by the rules! Without rules – who rules? They do – not you!

*******************************************************************
You do this everyday and never ever answer any questions. You just copy and paste someone elses ideas. You repeat talking points and can only repeat talking points because you have no experiences to base your own beliefs upon. Perfect ACORN and Organizing for America material. Baaaaaaa!
Carolynro – that’s why it’s SO IMPORTANT that we don’t vote in the WRONG people!
I just read back, JAB… you are correct. But, how could a 27 year old remember when Brit Hume was a liberal? More lies.
62% Oppose Single-Payer Health Care System
Thursday, December 03, 2009
Only 27% of voters nationwide favor a single-payer health care system where the federal government provides coverage for everyone. That’s down five points from August.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 62% are opposed to a single-payer system and another 12% are undecided.
Sure Carolynro – and you are one of the least knowledgeable I’ve ever encountered. I answer all questions that make sense. How do you know about my experience? ACORN is a non-story! It was a desperate attempt by FOX to get some attention. LOL For the most part it’s a good organization – with a few “flawed” employees, who are gone now. No biggie to anyone but Glenn Beck! LOL
It wasn’t that long ago – I remember the Clinton admin.
Oh Indy…..you got me! LOL!
So, Carolynro – are you OK with all your Marxist friends on FOX? I hope so! LOL
Sorry IndyJoe, we will never be communist! Where do you live?
Unfair is Bill Gates being worth 40 billion dollars and your average policeman making 40 thousand dollars. Everyone should have an equitable slice of the pie. Bill Gates wasn’t the one who made Microsoft what it is. The WORKERS did that. Aren’t you all tired of hungry children and crime that is bred by poverty? Aren’t you all tired of war which usually results when one nation has resources that another nation needs and desires to get? All Mr. Obama wants is a better world in which we can all live. That is why America needs to be fundamentally changed. It isn’t like he didn’t tell you. He is NOT a liar; and he did not deceive anyone. He said he intended to redistribute wealth. Now he is doing it. No one can say he didn’t tell us. Mr. Obama is only doing what America wants him to do. They asked him to bring about a socialist economy, even if they don’t want to admit it.
Indy,
“Marx looked at the world and noticed how unfair it was.”
========================
And became even worse following his game plan. Or is 100 million deaths and on-going poverty for everyone the fair thing in your mind?
No thanks. I think I’ll stick to capitalism and expect everyone to pull their own weight and stop expecting others to support those who won’t do for them self.
chas
The solution to the undertaxing by the Bush administration would have been to cut spending, which most of us here agreed should be done, although we weren’t here then, just thinking independently. And just think, if entitlements had been cut, where would you be now??
Good morning Chas. Another round of the absurd!!
What does my handle imply about my location? I beg to differ, Liz. Not only will be be a socialist nation, we are practically there! And whether you want to accept it or not, Liz, your ideas equitable distribution of wealth are very “right on”. We also agree on the need to reform capitalism; although, unlike you, I am forthright enough to admit that the way to reform capitalism is to dismantle it.
IndyJoe may is entitled to his opinion that communism is coming to the U.S. of A. It is my opinion that Hell will freeze over before that occurs. There will be blood on the ground!!
BUBBA
I don’t know who you are IndyJoe. Obviously you are a coward, just like your commie president is a coward. You wouldn’t be so brazen if Reagan or Bush were still president. In a few years, you’ll have to crawl back under your rock. As far as my being a reactionary, I guess from YOUR perspective, I AM. I don’t know how America ever got people like you. Your writing suggests you probably have a decent education. How did you get it? Who paid for it? Did Fidel pay for it? I doubt it. You’re probably one of those spoiled, rich, young brats who is on an enormous guilt trip. You’re too YOUNG to remember Viet Nam or Korea. And apparently you can’t even remember the fall of the Soviet Union. Did you flunk history when you were in school? Maybe you’re still IN high school. SOMETHING’S keeping you foggy-eyed. The education that your parents probably worked to provide has twisted your mind to a point where you think you know all the answers. You know NOTHING; and even if you did, you wouldn’t care. You sound terribly superficial to me; and you’re highly impressed with YOURSELF. But, after you’ve put a few years behind you, maybe you’ll start talking out your mouth instead of your azz.
Liz, Bush created tax cuts to insure that more money was available to the private sector…to stimulate growth, for comapnies and employees. That is what I know. And as far as some jobs going overseas….they went to our allies…in places like India…..whose neighbor is Pakistan, who takes our money and cheats us, hides the terrorists, had illegal elections, and still begs for our money. India is an ally. Pakistan is not.
Obama just stated in his speech…that growth can only come from the private sector.
Maybe Obama id finalyy learning some of the real facts of life.
His idea of “buying” the loyalty of the Pakistanies is a joke….they are one of the most corrupt regimes on earth…always have been. He cannot buy their support. And yet, he won’t give our military leaders the funds or troops they need to try to win there. What does he plan to do? Bow to hem and hope the like us?
That area of the world has always been a problem. The Russians lost there…it was their Viet Nam If you knew history, you would know that even Alexander the Great, who conquered the entire civilized world, of his time, had great difficulties there. There is no easy answer.. BUt voting present will solve nothing. Obama has no military background, and does not understand anything about it. He will be our downfall there.
Come on people…read Indy again with your tongue in your cheek and you will get a giggle!
You are actually doing a “liitle” better Liz. But you could still cut back on the insults. Just present your case, and be able to back it up…not opinions and insults.
And….Indy Joe is only making sacrastic remarks….mocking you. I don’t think for one minute he believes those things.
If he does…..maybe he is predicting what really could happen here if concerned citizens don’t take a stand now.
Indy…..almost every Communist society has failed, or is the the process of failing. Do you want to live in Russia…or what about Cuba?
Cuba will be the next great place to invest your money….when Castro dies….it will be like it was in the 1930s and 40s….. a great cruise destination…..nightclubs, etc…..the Vegas of the southeast.
right Carolyn!
And think of all the things we can sell them….good, American products…..it sure doesn’t look like they have done very well under Communism….even with their European allies….there are 3 genereations there wanting a better life…..and looking to America…..they can’t wait to abandon Communism…..they see what it did to them….
The Russians can no longer afford to sustain Cuba…..and they are impoverished. Even Chavez, in oil rich Venezuela doesn’t help them….that dictator wants all the money for himself….as his countrymen starve from poverty. And he was wealthy enough to have made little Cuba a Communist showplace to the world…but guess what…it didn’t happen. Becuase Communism doesn’t work.. It’s a gran theory…bu tjust that…works in theory only….because even they have their scroundrels….who cheat their own people and gov’t. Will never work.
North Korea is dependent on other countries…including America….for grain…so they don’t starve to death every winter…..Communist China doesn’t do much to help them….thought the idea was that everyone was equal…share and share alike….what happened???? LOL It doesn’t work!
Yes, tear it down an replace all of our gas and electric stoves with rice cookers. Yeah babay!
This is what we keep telling you. Socialism, which is where the Dems are trying to take us, in a European model…..is the middle step before Communism. It’s a simple fact. It diesn’t work, and never will.
That is why we are so extremely upset. We don’t want to see America fail….esp. since we have so many rolemodels that we have seen take the same route….and fail.
I want America to survive as the greatest nation in the history of the world. And we still have a chance to cling to that!
I kind of like eating with chop sticks, myself.
LOL Carolyn….I was trying to be serious….you break me up! LOL
It is perfectly reasonable not to take me seriously. But to dismiss the workers’ movement as an isolated blogger’s game would be a gross error. Yes, I am relatively young; but it is the youth who are awakening to the injustice that pervades this nation and most of our world. And yes, I am college educated, and yes my father affluent. It was my observation of his bullying of workers who produced his wealth that has colored my outlook on society and its lack of equity. Call me spoiled if you wish. I was the one who did the studying. I was the one put his life on hold for more than five years to follow a career that he insisted on my persuing. He wanted me to be an accountant so that I could manipulate numbers that would make him more money. I did not adhere to his demands. I am now a professional sociologist. It is my vocation to study societal groups and their dynamics. I have learned a great deal about the dynamics of capitalistic exploitation of the masses. I am not the one who will receive the honor for leading this wonderful movement in America; but I am honored to be along for the ride.
Sorry…it’s the professor in me…once I get started….LOL
Spoken like a true, misguided Communist Indy!
What if your father had not provided those people with jobs, to earn a living?
And did he force them to work for him if he was so horrible?
It’s America….you are free to seek employment where you choose.
And just maybe, because he was smart enough to run a company, he was smart enough to make all the decisions, to make sure it was sucessful….to ensure his employess jobs and future?
Comment by Liz December 3rd, 2009 at 8:37 am
The purpose of government is to better the lives of the people!
============================
MARXISM 101
The job of the government, in America, is to ensure that the people have the right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness….in their own right.
I will allow your reactionist eyes to rest for a while. Liz, you have a bright future if you want it; but please don’t just splash your feet in the water. Dive in head first. It won’t hurt you. Allow the pure clean water of socialism to cover your entire being. Drink it down–all of it! You already know it will be good, but you have always heard that socialism is the boogy man. It is not the boogy man, rather it is the answer for the ills of American society. I believe you know it to be so.
IndyJoe is right about one thing at least – under the prior administration we all suffered capitalistic exploitation of the masses – and we can’t let that happen again, or we will have to change our form of government! That’s a fact.
And Indy…as far as Bill Gates is concerned….what he created, developed, and merchandised….on his own dime, not gov’t assisstance…..is his to enjoy. You would not have to right to be spouting your ideas here….without him…and he has provided jobs for millions of Americans, and others, around the world… through his efforts and hard work…AND….he has given away more money to educational programs, etc…….than Ford, Carnegie, Rockefella, and the Vanderbuilts….COMBINED!
The essential purpose of government is to guard the land in which it governs, and protect the rights of its inhabitants. The government should be strong, and the government should be limited. Essentially, government is force. This is essentially what governments exist for. However there is some variation of different bodies of government relative to the time, the government jurisdiction, and related bodies of government near it. There is not one absolute “method,” to anything that government is, should do, or should not do. Therefore, it becomes essential to look at the United States today and in the day it was founded, as to why it holds a written Constitution.
The government of the United States is complex and sophisticated. The government was founded by the common causes of the colonies who were dissolving their allegiances to the British government. Originally, all colonies were very skeptical of having any sort of general government around them. However each colony wanted to be stronger in itself. For this reason, the colonies compromised some of its powers to a central government. The founders wanted to make this government a government that would make the colonies stronger, but also keep as much power in the colonies as possible. Before drafting the Constitution, the founders originally drafted the Articles of Confederation.
per liz:
“IndyJoe is right about one thing at least – under the prior administration we all suffered capitalistic exploitation of the masses – and we can’t let that happen again, or we will have to change our form of government! That’s a fact.”
_____________________________________________________________________________________
“exploitation of the masses” ???? right out of the Communist Manifesto, Liz?????
Liz, You and Indy Joe have a lot in common. You approve of the same people that want to turn us into a communist nation. Whjy do you pretend to disagree with? Your both in the same camp.
Where did you copy that from and how does it sync with a single thing you have ever said here? Have you studied the Jamestown Experience? Some called it an Experiment. Nothing you have ever written here as your beliefs matches what you posted at 3:09.
The purpose of government is to protect the rights of the people!
LIBERTY 101
Liz…what you are basically describing…..is the idea of a central government…BUT..with STATE’S RIGHTS !
The state’s rights issue is one that conservatives cling to. Maybe you are beginning to get it….if you understand that.
Yeah, sure – I’m Communist! LMAO! You guys don’t understand the Constitution because you are into breaking it every day – much more than the liberals are! They are more for liberty than the GOP. The GOP is about as far removed from the Constitution as you can get…but I guess you have to understand the Constitution to understand that, and I don’t think anyone here really does!
Exploitation of the masses perfectly describes Marxism and Communism. How do you think the Great Wall of China was built? Comparing tax cuts by George Bush to exploitation is like comparing a trip to the ATM to Obama’s stimulus package. Good Lord on Toast! How did you ever come up with that load of road apples?
You have never read the constitution let alone been able to relate it to anything.
ok LIz…stick to facts….not rash staements….
I’ve said many times on this blog that I would be Libertarian if I thought they had a chance of becoming a viable third party. The other two parties are too far from the Constitution to ever get back to where they should be.
Indy Joe agrees with Obummer, and I have seen where you agree with him. Obummer is a socialist. So play nice with Indy.
Well, now we have TWO comrades on this blog. But, only ONE is honest enough to admit it.
Please tell me how we are violating the Constitution? I don’t understnad what issues you are thinking of?
“The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people.”
– Bill Clinton 1993 on MTV
“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.”
– Bill Clinton in 1993 from USA Today
“You know the one thing that’s wrong with this country? Everyone gets a chance to have their fair say.”
– Bill Clinton in 1993
I guess the grip of GE on all things green is good capitalism.
Carolynro – what do you know??? LOLOL
Protection of the rights of the people against government is what the constitution calls for. Go back and learn why the Pilgrims came here, what happened in Jamestown and then talk to me about the constitution. Go back and learn why people risked everything to escape England and the tyrannical King. Simple regurgitation of sentences copied and pasted are not sufficient as a basis for discussion. You could buy the PBS tapes of the Jamestown story…it would be easier for you to understand:
http://www.shoppbs.org/product/index.jsp?productId=2231922
Obama is NOT a Socialist – what planet are you on? He is our President – elected by the people and for the people! He’s definitely the “lesser of two evils” and he knows what he’s doing. He totally understands the Constitution, and he taught Constitutional law at Harvard. If anyone (in the gov’t. today) can head us back in the right direction, it’s him!
Jimmy, there are many, many ways the gov’t today is violating the Constitution. I can’t go into all of them – but first and foremost are the lobbyists in Washington. They NEVER should have been there!
Liz, Obama is most definitely a Socialist….there is no way around that. No way at all.
If you had any understanding of Bush, except what you have adopted via MSNBC you would know that he wanted everyone to succeed. He believed that when the tide rises, so do all tehe people. Obama seems to believe that you throw cinder blocks to drowning people.
Bush is not the monster you wish to paint him…per your marching orders from your new-found liberal think tanks. He is nothing like Obama- Obama is a cold calculating narcissic. George Bush was at the bedside of the Fort Hood victims within one day of the tragic event. Obama took a trip somewhere and got around to going to Fort Hood about a week later. Obama has not proven that he cares about anyone but himself, his fame, his fortune and his legacy as the Man Who Fooled Everyone. Show me one compassionate act on the part of Obama.
If Obama cared about the people he would have started worrying about jobs before he threw the cinder blocks of his dreams on top of all of us. He is using the people to get his dreams. This is what the constitution was supposed to protect us from.
Indy Joe says he is a socialist. And he’s the one who is being honest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lizzie, Everyone here is bitter but not you????? That’s like saying everyone is crazy but you are not… Do you ever read the dumb things you have posted??? I had my sis read some of the
comments on this blog… Her words were “Who the hell is that LIZ person…She really is a nut case.”
Liz…I agree with you…I think all lobbyist should be put in jail…..they want special rights….more than the citizens have….I have no use for lobbyist what so ever….whether business lobbyist or “specail cause” lobbyist…..
work through your Congressmen….like we all have to do…
I for one respect IndyJoe. He has a much clearer view of his expectations for the future than our former resident expert on communism.
Obama grew up in foreign countries, was educated in foreign countries and many Youtube videos catch him referring to himself as a Muslim in interviews with media anchors. Jimmy- you got that email didn’t you? It was just the other day. Obama did no grow up with the American experience. He grew up in a totally weird family, was conflicted over his race, and then cooked it all in a pot on Sunday mornings with Reverend Wrights Black Theolgy. Obama is not the boy next door and he is awesomely gifted at hiding his feelings and controlling his emotions. He talks about it in one of his books. No one really knows who this guy is. But I know one thing for sure he ain’t yo mamma’s president.
Does that include ACORN AND THE SEIU, Jimmy?
Liz….right again…the government….the current adminstration…is violating the Constitution….that is why so many of us are so upset…..the gov’t. is infringing on, and trying to take away our rights…….many members of the current adminstration should be tried for treason….including the president!
“I had learned not to care. I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though. …”
– Barack Obama
“Junkie. Pothead. That’s where I’d been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man. Except the highs hadn’t been about that, me trying to prove what a down brother I was. Not by then, anyway. I got high for just the opposite effect, something that could push questions of who I was out of my mind, something that could flatten out the landscape of my heart, blur the edges of my memory. I had discovered that it didn’t make any difference whether you smoked reefer in the white classmate’s sparkling new van, or in the dorm room of some brother you’d met down at the gym, or on the beach with a couple of Hawaiian kids who had dropped out of school and now spent most of their time looking for an excuse to brawl. …You might just be bored, or alone. Everybody was welcome into the club of disaffection.”
– Barack Obama
Yeah, Merle…my sons said the same thing…he he he and they are college kids…well one graduated.
Hey Jimmy, when was Britt Hume a liberal?
“I opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. It should be repealed and I will vote for its repeal on the Senate floor. I will also oppose any proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban gays and lesbians from marrying.”
– Barack Obama
Awesome Dog…yet he gets a pass
YES Carolyn….both of them should have all there members in prison…
Hey Dog….Liz lives in Ann Arbor or A-squared as we call it. My birthplace, actually.
who knows how the election would have turned out if ACORN had not been involved? wonder if Mickey Mouse voted for Obama?….and how many times? LOL
Well, Dog you have to show up at the Senate in order to vote….Obama had the worst attendance record ever and voted present most of the time
He wasn’t given enough time to dither while he made up his mind on how to vote on bills.
and now the GOP doesn’t show up to vote – go figure!
ACORN had no influence on the election! Beck would like you to believe that! What a crock!
got to take a little break….have a honey-do list…..enjoyed it all…..
Liz…..I have to say is is nicer to debate with you without the name calling and insults….maybe there is hope, after all…..we will never agree ….but that makes for a good horserace, doesn’t it….?
The A2 News no longer exists! Is that where you birth announcement was?
“I Found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.”
– Barack Obama
You’re ok Jimmy – as long as you stop the name calling and HOOTing…..
… Yes, I am relatively young;..
===============
Which explains a lot.
I recommend that you read a bit of Winston Churchill. He saw the danger in the Nazi’s before most and the same with communism at the end of the War.
When you aren’t so “relatively young” you will find things change as you mature. At least sane people do.
Carolynro – Obama inherited a tremendous mess from the Bush admin. – with no apologies! He’s done a tremendous job so far – and kept us out of a depression. He’s not the Messiah, but I know you hoped he was! LOL
“That h a t e hadn’t gone away, white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”
– Barack Obama
DOC – what made you so racist? Was it one particular incident that happened in your life? I know that’s the story with Carolynro, but what’s your story?
Worth a repost….
Neil Cavuto is a former Carter administration intern. Charles Krauthammer worked for the Carter Administration and was a Mondale speechwriter. Bill Hemmer is a former CNN personality. John Gibson is a former Hollywood insider and NBC personality. Brit Hume worked against the Nixon administration, the Marxist foe, and tried to bring it down with scandals. Feminazi-in-chief Marxist Greta van Susteren is a Marxist Georgetown graduate, Scientologist, and former CNN personality, and her sister was a DNC candidate for Senate. Mort Kondracke is a former intelligence officer, Marxist Georgetown graduate, and on the list of known Nixon opponents.
Rupert Murdoch’s first big journalism controversy was working to free an aboriginal who murdered a young Australian girl. His mother’s name was Greene, a toss up Jewish name. He was a big supporter of the Marxist Australian Labor Party, which recognised Communist China and supported public ownership of industry, and Marxist British Labor Party.
sorry Liz…I’m a wicked person ! just one last……..HOOT! HOOT!…..bbl….
Obama is black and white, so he can’t be RACIST!!! He never knew a white person till he came to the mainland – except his father – who he saw only once during his childhood. He loved his mom! She raised him to be benevolent!
About student life and race at Occidental College Obama wrote “There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.” He added: “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”
While in college, Obama wrote he disapproved of what he called other “half-breeds” who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks.
Where did you copy that from? It’s a total lie!
The role of Government, as dictated by the Constitution, is to provide opportunity, provide security, provide fair commerce and protect individual God Given right’s from the many State’s.
This of course applies to the original intent, some Amendments have increased the ability to steal your hard earned dollars to give to others which is a 180 from the original intent.
Just to give you an idea of how far we have strayed from the original intent, originally they had to mandate that Congress meet once a year. Now, they have to pick through over 30,000 bills on an average year.
I’d cite more example, but I don’t want to be called a freak for understanding the Constitution.
After making his first visit to Kenya, Obama wrote of being disappointed to learn that his paternal grandfather had been a servant to rich whites. The revelation caused “ugly words to flash across my mind. Uncle Tom. Collaborator. House *igger.”
ok…wife went to the grocery instead….
Liz, just because someone is of mixed races…doesn’t mean thet can’t be racist….not at all….maybe he felt rejected by one group…or the other…that could certainly cause a great deal of hatred….?
In Hawaii, Barry spent considerable time hanging out with Grandpa Stanley’s drinking buddy, Frank Marshall Davis. Davis became his mentor, and Barry was with Davis at his Honolulu cottage on most evenings. Davis was a writer, with several published books of poems. He was also a communist, having been investigated by the House Un-American Activities Committee and chased out of Chicago by the FBI.
Davis taught Barry all about the evils of America and capitalism, and how tough it was to be a black man in a white man’s world. He did not paint a pretty picture. Young Barry must have thought he’d be lynched if he made a wrong move or comment while buying a candy bar at the corner store. “Don’t trust whitey” was Davis’ main lesson. Lesson two was socialism. All the other lessons were variations on the first two themes. Barry learned well.
Liz..you probably won’t believe this…..because I have read your remarks…and Lori’s….making fun of southerners….but I see more mixed marriages….and biracial children….. here …..than I ever saw when I was in New York…or even in Europe.
And most of the time…..it has been the white families that had the child live with them if there was a problem.
The south of 2009……is not the same south of 1950.
But I can understand a biracial child’s questioning, or lack of alligence…..to one group….or the other.
Obama headed to Occidental College in California after graduating from high school in Hawaii. He experimented with drugs, wasn’t much of a student, and read black power books that had been suggested by Davis.
After two years at Occidental, Barry moved on to New York, Columbia University, and William Ayers (the son of Tom Ayers, an old friend of Davis from his Chicago days).
Barry Soetoro switched back to the name Barack Obama, Jr. A connection to black Africa was, after all, better suited to the political climate of the 1980s.
After Columbia, Obama moved to Chicago (as did Ayers), and started working as a “community organizer” – or, more properly, a “community activist” or “community agitator.” He learned from Ayers, and his fellow followers of Saul Alinsky, that a violent revolution was not the way to turn America toward socialism – Ayers had tried that and ended up being chased by the FBI for a decade. Instead, the idea was to work from within the system. Turn in the hippie clothes and put on a business suit. Don’t work from the top down, work from the bottom up. Above all, don’t be frightening. Tell them what they want to hear, and get them to willingly let you expand government power and control over their lives.
Working from the bottom up meant telling everybody in the community how miserable their lives were (even if they weren’t), and persuading them to do something about it. “You’ll never save enough money to buy a house and follow the white man’s rules. You need to change the rules!” Obama thus instructed people on how to march on banks, stage sit-ins in bank lobbies, and picket outside the homes of the greedy bank presidents who followed an antiquated concept called “lending standards.” The government stepped in, forced banks to lower lending standards, made Fannie Mae buy up risky loans, and – well, you know the rest.
thanks Dog…..I wasn’t familiar with all of that….thanks for posting it all here….
ok…got to go…..tommorrow….
Carolynro – Obama inherited a tremendous mess from the Bush admin. – with no apologies! He’s done a tremendous job so far – and kept us out of a depression. He’s not the Messiah, but I know you hoped he was! LOL
**********************************************************************
Obama was in the senate and knew perfectly well what he was in for and in fact, begged Bush to bail out the auto companies so he wouldn’t have to deal with it.
Skin color has no bearing on the ability or inability for someone to be a racist,
ACORN had no influence on the election! Beck would like you to believe that! What a crock!
*********************************************************************
then why is ACORN under indictment in several states for election fraud?
http://www.rottenacorn.com/activityMap.html
Happy reading Liz. And I want a report on Jamestown…
DOC – everything you have posted about Obama is right-wing propaganda. If you can’t post a link to the source, why would anyone believe any of it? It’s someone’s opinion…someone who doesn’t like him.
Everyone knows Bachmann is a “freakeedeekee”….and totally unqualified to be in the Congress! Check her credentials! And ACORN is NOT a big player in any elections – never has been! I’ll agree, they had some scandals, but no more than the pundits on FOX! Gimme a break!
Obama was acquainted with Ayers, and that’s about it. Anyway, Ayers wasn’t targeting anyone – he was “making a statement” and nobody ever got hurt. He’s NOT a terrorist by any means!!! But, we won’t go into that again.
If you want to believe Sarah, go right ahead!
Bush has spent over a trillion on his wars, but he didn’t worry about paying for it! LOL Why should he? He was only the President!!!
Why doesn’t Bachmann know what’s going on with the war? I thought she was having an affair with the General.
Crackdog…..this is total BS – and brainwashing at its best!!! What you people won’t believe – from bloggers! Unreal.
BULL CRAP: Working from the bottom up meant telling everybody in the community how miserable their lives were (even if they weren’t), and persuading them to do something about it. “You’ll never save enough money to buy a house and follow the white man’s rules. You need to change the rules!” Obama thus instructed people on how to march on banks, stage sit-ins in bank lobbies, and picket outside the homes of the greedy bank presidents who followed an antiquated concept called “lending standards.” The government stepped in, forced banks to lower lending standards, made Fannie Mae buy up risky loans, and – well, you know the rest.
I’m always amazed at how someone can cite no source yet always be assured that no matter what else is posted propaganda, based simply on their narrow, ill defined perception of the world as viewed through the inexperienced eyes of youth.
chas
Bachmann graduated from ORAL ROBERTS University! She doesn’t believe in separation of church and state! Sorry, but I don’t want her in charge of my “morality”. She needs to read the Constitution!
From Wikopedia…..(and there’s a lot more shady stuff)
In 1993, Bachmann and other parents in Stillwater, Minnesota opened New Heights Charter School. The oversight of New Heights soon encountered problems when a group of concerned parents and the school district questioned if the insertion of Christianity into the school’s curriculum amounted to using public tax money to fund a religious school.
Post me a link to it chuckie! I’m sure you know! You agree with all of Dog’s outrageous stuff, don’t you?
From Wikopedia…..other organizations are worse than ACORN – connected to the GOP!
Error rates with ACORN registrations
Of the 1.3 million voter registrations filed by the ACORN/Project Vote efforts in 2008, Project Vote’s director Michael Slater estimates that
450,000 were new registrations
450,000 were changes of address
20-25% (260,000-325,000) were duplicates
5% (65,000) were incomplete
1-1.5% (13,000-19,500) were fraudulent
ACORN’s investigations found 9,000 questionable registrations, and a lawyer for the group estimated that another 5,000-6,000 additional questionable registrations were turned in, for an estimated undetected error rate of .4-.5%.
ACORN had hired 13,000 temporary workers in 2008 to register voters. They fired 829 of the 10,000 canvassers, roughly 8%.
ACORN compared to other voter registration efforts
Other mass-registration drives have had similar, if not worse problems. In 2006, the California Republican Party experienced problems with fake names on registrations, with an error rate as high as 60 percent.
The actual incidence of vote fraud in the United States is extremely low. According to one study, “from 2002 to 2005 only one person was found guilty of registration fraud. Twenty people were found guilty of voting while ineligible and five people were found guilty of voting more than once.”
Accusations that ACORN caused the 2008 financial crisis
Conservatives accused ACORN of causing the 2008 financial crisis by “forcing banks” to lend to “minorities.”
However, most mainstream economists say the financial crisis was caused by the proliferation of complicated financial instruments called Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs) and Credit Default Swaps.
ACORN responded by releasing a report that they claim “chronicles and analyzes the roles played by both ACORN and Senator John McCain (R-AZ) over the past decade leading up to the economic crisis”.
Rather ironic, wouldn’t you say??? LOL
Liz, I have to point out that you are mistaken about Bill Ayers. He is a terrorist. Violent and destructive acts committed in order to intimidate another is the very definition of terrorism. And people did die. Three members of his own group, including Ayers’ girlfriend at the time, blew themselves up making bombs. The group that he belonged to, the Weathermen, were responsible for the deaths of three police officers as well as a Brinks officer. Ayers was involved in those deaths, though the charges were later dropped. He was a fugitive for 10 years. I appreciate what you’re trying to do, but you’ve got to get your facts straight if you want to have any credibility. Please, please, do a 10 second internet search and you will see that these are the facts. His motives matter little. The only thing that remains is that he is directly or indirectly responsible for taking the lives of seven human beings. He is a wart on the face of America. Please do not try to minimize the evil he created in order to also minimize his relationship with our president. It’s an insult to every life for which he is responsible for taking.
Guilty conscience?
I thought you were ignoring me?
That lasted less than 48 hours.
Actually I was talking about liberals in general.
If the shoe fits…
Does that include the direct quotes from his books?
Who knew that his ghost writer Bill Ayers was a right-winger?
ROTFLMFAO!!!
Anyone can post anything on Wikipedia!
Damian has to keep a constant eye on their Palin page because the left are always posting lies about her!
Being number 2 on their hit list, I’m sure that Bachmann gets the same treatment.
I think I’ll assign someone the task of doing a routine fact check of her profile as well.
Sorry Sterling, I don’t believe that Ayers is a terrorist in any way, shape or form. What he did was symbolic of the times. My dad talks about how bad it was when all 18 year olds were being drafted and dropped right into the jungle – as a lot of his friends were. Ayers was not responsible for killing anyone, although he did belong to the group that set off a few bombs in federal buildings as a way to protest the war. It was unfortunate that a few people were killed making the bombs, but Ayers himself had nothing to do with it. I’m not condoning what they did, but Ayers was not guilty of anything.
The “ghostwriter” theory is also a cooked up right-wing story with no merit whatsoever.
About the ghostwriting and “character assassination” from the right…..
Ayers response
Ayers himself kept a low profile during the controversy. After the election, he wrote an op-ed piece in which he explained:
With the mainstream news media and the blogosphere caught in the pre-election excitement, I saw no viable path to a rational discussion. Rather than step clumsily into the sound-bite culture, I turned away whenever the microphones were thrust into my face. I sat it out.
His post-election piece argued that the attacks on Obama had been a “profoundly dishonest drama”, including a false depiction of Ayers as a terrorist (“I never killed or injured anyone”) and an exaggeration of his connection to Obama (“We didn’t pal around, and I had nothing to do with his positions”).
Wiki and Comedy Central are a lot more accurate in their “facts” that FOX – and that’s a FACT!
The Vietnam War was immoral and wrong, and it lasted way too long. Almost NO Americans supported it during the Nixon administration and everyone wanted us to pull out way before we did. We caused a lot more harm than good over there and the protests were pretty heated. I DO know my history.
I know Chuckie supported it, but he was very lonely. lol
In La La Land maybe, wouldn’t you agree folks that sanity has a very loose grip on reality. So much so that left fringe comedy passes for real News.
And since the sane people seem to have gone to bed, think I will follow.
chas
Ayers said that he had never been responsible for violence against other people and was acting to end a war in Vietnam in which “thousands of people were being killed every week.” He also stated, “While we did claim several extreme acts, they were acts of extreme radicalism against property,” and “We killed no one and hurt no one. Three of our people killed themselves.”
If anyone needs to understand why history is important read that post (December 3rd, 2009 at 10:22 pm)
How did Nixon get elected? Who first escalated the War? Who drove the North Vietnamese out of the South? Who cut off funding to the South which crippled their efforts to maintain their independence from the communist?
And for the last question: How many died and how many were sent to “re-education” camps after the Communist took over?
These questions will confuse the historically impaired, but it isn’t all that hard to research.
chas
Sterling, Ayers was NOT involved in the Brinks robbery – that was some people he knew and it was a whole different organization…..
Ayers is married to Bernardine Dohrn, a fellow former leader of the Weather Underground. They have two adult children and shared legal guardianship of Chesa Boudin, son of Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert. Boudin and Gilbert were former Weather Underground members who later joined the May 19 Communist Organization and were jailed for their roles in that group’s Brinks robbery. Chesa Boudin went on to win a Rhodes scholarship. Ayers and Dohrn currently live in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.
Chuckie that stuff doesn’t matter – what matters is that we stayed too long and killed too many people and ruined a country! That’s what Ayers was protesting – albeit violently – but he wasn’t the only one!!! Are you sure you were around back then??? LOL Hard to believe you supported that war.
NOW DON’T TALK TO ME AGAIN – unless you have your facts straight!
Ayers wrote Oblitheringbuffoon’s books for him and THAT’S A PROVEN FACT!!!
Chuckie – it’s easy to look back and talk about what we “should have done”! Hindsight is 20/20 you know! Too bad Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon didn’t have it! Do you???
Dog, I have you on “ignore”! You are too ridiculous to even bother with! LMAO!
I’ll throw you a bone if you go lay down in your corner and go to sleep!
On ignore?
Is that because you’re afraid to answer this?
Facts?
LBJ increased troop involvement.
Nixon won the election because stupid people like you were tired of trying to save a people from slavery in communism.
He pushed the North out of the South.
Nixon withdrew troops, with the understanding that with our money they could hold the North out.
Dems cut funding, the South fell. 1 million died, 2 million went to so-called re-education camps.
Was I there then? Does being spit on by arsehole liberals like you for wearing the uniform count?
Nothing seems to matter to you but what you believe.
There is a very true thing that I do know, it is impossible to get to where you are going, if you have no idea of where you are. You can’t arrive at your destination if you don’t know where you started from.
Now quit talking to me, because you have no idea of what you are talking about. Your lack of knowledge of history is really embarrassing to anyone who is over 40.
chas
Wall Street Journal columnist Thomas Frank praised Ayers as a “model citizen” and a scholar whose “work is esteemed by colleagues of different political viewpoints.”
And he barely knew Obama, so the ghostwriter theory is another cooked-up lie by right wing blogs. Do you ever read any “real” news! You are a good subject for my project because you are pretty much confirming how people get crazy in this new world of “news” junk!
BTW I have read Obama’s books and I won’t comment on anything taken out of context. I hope you will read them too and not just the “out of context” blurbs you find on right wing websites.
The South would have fallen eventually anyway, and where was the rest of the world? Were our allies interested in keeping the north out of the south? NOOOOOOOOOOOO! We can’t do it all. We made the situation over there much worse than if we had never been there! When will you learn Chuckie????
Maybe it is too late.
Not to mention the thousands of soldiers whose names are on that wall in D.C.
Shameful!
Dog,
Know anyone who might specialize in taking things “out of context”?
chas
OK Chuckie – you can have your whacked out opinions. It’s fine by me! I’ll still post the truth here. I’m glad you are starting to open up though because it might help with my project. Maybe you’ll give me something I can use.
I didn’t think I’d get a straight answer.
BTW, I have those books right in front of me!
Anyone reading them can easily tell that it’s Ayer’s writing style.
It’s lightyears beyond the 4th grade level BS that Oblitheringbuffoon wrote in college!
It becomes easier to understand why we are in such a sorry state.
Liberals are killing this Country, they just call themselves moderates.
All evil needs to win is for good to stand by and do nothing.
I have to go, insanity makes me ill. As does ignorance.
A group of leading Internet publishers and digital marketing services on Thursday launched an online campaign to educate consumers about how they are tracked and targeted for pitches on the Web.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau, based in New York, unveiled its “Privacy Matters” Web site. The site explains how Internet marketers track where people go and what they do online and then mine that data to serve up targeted ads. The practice, known as behavioral advertising, has raised concerns among privacy watchdogs and lawmakers in Congress.
A number of IAB members plan to run banner spots on their Web pages linking back to the Privacy Matters site. Those include Internet-only players such as Yahoo Inc. and Google Inc. and traditional media outlets such as Walt Disney Co. and The New York Times Co.
Chuckie – that’s funny! You make yourself sick? LOL
If you could comprehend what they say, then you wouldn’t think the way you do Doggie! Arf arf arf
OK, enough for tonite! Goodnight, and have a pleasant tomorrow!
One more think Chuckie – read up on Libertarianism and their views about war! Other than that, they would be a perfect fit for you beause they love the Constitution, but they h a t e war! That’s the only conflict you would have with it. I know for me it would be a perfect fit – if it were possible, but I’m afraid it’s not. Maybe someday.
Thank you for continuing to air the latest news out of Italy about 8 yr. old Liam McCarty and his Re-kidnapping by his birth mother. It is a very serious and heartbreaking situation. Sadly, many countries still believe that the best place in the world for a child is with their Mother but that is so untrue. She sounds like a spoiled, rich girl who’s parents always got her what she wanted. They have bribed and manipulated the system. This time, she abducted (once again) the child and disappeared, claiming it is now Italy that isn’t giving her a fair chance. What next? Switzerland? Obviously she has serious mental problems. I’m glad the Father, Michael, continues to persevere, but it must be emotionally and financially draining for him, after 2 years of legal pursuits on both countries. I donated what I could at the website Saveliam.org. Hopefully he will get more help by your viewers and others to continue his struggle to bring his son home. It sound’s like he could really use it right now. Just an unbelievable nightmare….
Sony Corp. said Friday it has signed a deal with FIFA, the international football governing body, to record up to 25 World Cup games in 3-D — a technology that gives viewers an illusion of depth on the screen.
The Japanese electronics and entertainment company is one of several electronics makers planning or working on 3-D technology for TVs and movies. Sony makes 3-D capable video cameras, and plans to sell 3-D TVs for homes next year.
People wear special glasses to see 3-D footage because the illusion of dimension is created by sending different images to the left and the right eye, although manufacturers are working on upgrades that will show 3-D without glasses.
I will not argue about Ayers any further, only to reiterate that the facts show that he was involved in the loss of all those lives. And blowing up property, whether with an intent to harm or not, still puts lives in jeopardy. By the way, his current wife in on record as praising the Tate-LaBianca murders and the terrorists who killed them. She specifically gave props to the Manson crowd for for repeatedly sticking a knife in the belly of an eight month pregnant woman, and marveled at them slaughtering innocent people in their own homes, with their own silverware, and then then taking time to dine while those bodies were turning cold. Ayers said much later that his wife was joking about those incidents, but it’s hard to believe that any reasonable person would be the slight bit facetious about such a thing, especially in 1969, when she is on record as saying them. But I guess if you’re protesting a war and if the crimes were against evil rich people, it makes all that okay.
I don’t believe that libertarians care very much for liberals. So it can’t be a match for you.
I’m not much on the party thing, haven’t been for some time. I vote for the person I think will actually represent the people who elect him/her. Regrettably there isn’t much of that going on today.
Too many people like you out there who are voting for what they Government can take from me and give to you.
chas
Sterling, this is the type of character assassination that you guys like to perpetuate. Fine, it’s totally ridiculous and I think you know it. That statement is outrageous. There’s no way that I believe she said any of that, and if she did “joke” about it, it was because someone in the media was trying to “put words in her mouth”. All of their kids, including the ones they had custody of, are highly educated (just like they are) and they’ve been unjustly ridiculed by the right wing media.
They don’t promote violence or bombs today and they deeply regret the harm it caused back then, but it was a sign of the times. When your government is essentially “murdering” it’s youth, sometimes you feel compelled to “make a statement” about it, and that’s what happened. They stood up for the youth of America and did something that many others thought about doing.
You’re not a “party” person, yet you accuse me of being “liberal” when I’ve said I’m Independent from the beginning! You’ve said that “middle of the road” is no good – and you are on the extreme right. Did I misunderstand you Chuckie? Are you also Independent?
Libertarianism could work if we could throw out everyone in Washington now and start over, but that will never happen, unfortunately.
Obama’s entire life has been out of context….a real loser who got lucky because in America even idiots can succeed. The only problem is that he wants to destroy the same system that allows a crack/pot head to advance.
Yada yada yada – say something new Carolynro! That’s a BS statement with nothing to back it up.
Chuckie, I will give the government much more than they ever gave me in my lifetime. It’s a “give and take” relationship!
Sen. Barb Boxer wants to investigate the hackers who released the e-mails showing the global warming research for the hoax it is.
If law and justice is her interest shouldn’t she be at least as interested in going after those who have been costing us billions with their fraud?
Hacking should be punished but shouldn’t the cost be weighed against the good that comes from it?
These e-mails were requested under the British Freedom of Information Act and many were deleted to avoid being turned over.
Let’s investigate that also.
chas
Ok,,,so anything doesn’t believe in does not exist. What arrogance!!!
Facts cannot be erased just by one person not believing the facts. Bombing the pentagon is a terrorist act just like bombing the WTC or the Murrow Building or the US Cole.
Defense of left wing loons, who may have tried to atone for their sins, are given a pass by lefties yet they doggedly attack people on the right into eternity for “sins” committed in their youths. It is not the bad acts that are infuriating, it is the double standard that is applied.
And quoting the words of Obama from his books is not taking things out of context…
From Rasmussen:
“In Arkansas, Senator Blanche Lincoln trails four potential Republican challengers in her bid for re-election. Just 32% of Arkansas voters favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and Congressional Democrats.”
Take your own advice, chicky-poo! You have said nothing new for months
And you never back up your rants
Obama has blown it. He will have to give up his naive dreams of re-tooling the entire economy to fit his Marxist ideals in order to begin turn things around. He may actually have to listen to the business community – the real business community and not the labor union leaders he had up to the White House yesterday. l
Almost ALL of the conservative congress people are startlingly stupid….
and just like Jon Stewart says…..not all conservatives are stupid, but most stupid people are conservative! It’s a sign of the times I guess!
See – I can rant just like you guys do! ALL of your rants make no logical sense – and I can’t believe you are all too stupid to know it…but, like Jon Stewart says….
(I’ve tried to be “nice” but it’s not working – and I knew it wouldn’t)
Have a wonderful day! I’m going to be busy……..
and I’m sure you don’t want me around anyway! LOL
It doesn’t work because you are not a nice person.
And the most illogical person here is you.
chas
John Stewart is a moron and has all of you fooled.
No, stay we love proving your new found ideas wrong
I notice that Obungle is now saying that we all will have to “restrict our dreams”. TRANSLATION: “Things are gonna get tough! Whataya think’s gonna happen when ya set about to redistribute wealth? This is a big job! Just “SUCK IT UP, CRY BABIES! IT’S THE PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY!”
Isn’ that nice? Then he informs us (as if we didn’t know) that future jobs are going to have to come from the PRIVATE sector. He explained that THIS is true because the GOVERNMENT has no more resources. WOW! I WONDER WHEN HE FOUND OUT! I’m glad he told US! I thought everyone was going to work for the GOVERNMENT! I don’t know what made me think that. Maybe it is the trillions of dollars of debt that he, Peloser, and Reid have run up. I figured that was how they planned to make the STIMULUS (the Porkulus) work–by hiring MILLIONS of Americans and putting them to work for Uncle Sam. We probably need them now, after all, given the SIZE of our government. But now, he’s talking about the PRIVATE SECTOR??? WOW!
It stuns me that these bozos talk as if they have NOTHING TO DO with them mess we’re in. First Obey says, “We’re gonna have to figure out how to pay for this war, given our domestic agenda.” Now Obumma says, “Gee, the government has no more resourses. I guess we’ll have to look toward the private sector.” Isn’t the PRIVATE SECTOR the folks he wants to TAX INTO OBLIVION? Aren’t they the “evil rich” from whom wealth must be STOLEN and doled out to deadbeats?
You wouldn’t know how to be nice if Emily Post herself tutored you.
“out of context” means NOT posting the whole paragraph – losing the meaning with a few “select” words! Why do I have to keep educating you people – and you REFUSE to be educated – because you want to continue your “character assassinations”.
Sarah Palin is the best at character assassination, but don’t you dare do it to her!!! LMAO!
Later!
Hey JAB:
Yeah, he must have been completely stunned when he had the epiphany hit him. OMG!!! The country is bankrupt! OMG! The government cannot create jobs! OMG!! The GOP is right!!
No, Chuckie – it doesn’t work because YOU and Carolynro and the Dog are NOT nice people. You don’t have a nice bone in your bodies, but you will have to answer for that someday – some way!
Have a nice day
and stop blaming YOUR president for everything that goes wrong in your life. Put the blame where it belongs!
Liz you are so easy to refute. You can’t have it both ways. You accuse conservatives of the very same things your lib buddies do and you can’t handle having the hypocrisy pointed out to you. Sarah Palin is popular and was the darling of the liberals up in Alaska just like John McCain was until they ran for office. They all of a sudden the CMSM forgot all the stuff they loved about those two.
I don’t blame him…I blame people like you who were so easily fooled and put him in the position of power to destroy our country
Typical liberal carolyn.
There is nothing going wrong in my life. We have hedged all of our bets. I feel sorry for the victims of government. I learned how to fight back decades ago.
Yes, it must be hard to walk and chew gum at the same time for many of them.
I know I said I wouldn’t respond to Liz; but I can’t help myself! I’m SO embarrassed for going back on my word. I feel like OBAMA. Making Liz fidget is so much FUN!
Hey Liz, I guess you’re feeling pretty good now that IndyJoe is telling you what a bright future you have. I’m not surprised that he thinks so highly of you. If I had your address, I’d send you a Christmas present (or since you’re a liberal, I guess I should say, “HOLIDAY present”). I’d send you a HAMMER AND SICKLE wall decoration. It wouldn’t be as “Christmasy” as a nativity scene, but you all don’t like Christmas anyway. Right? You all sort of feel that religion is the “opiot of the people”. Right? So just give me your address, and I’ll geT that hammer and sickle right out to you. Merry Ch…I mean, HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
They know so much that just isn’t true…lol
Before I go – I wanted to share this….
A national survey of 1,800 Americans aged 18 and older questioned participants on how and when they feel angry in order to build “a broader social portrait of anger in the United States,” said study researcher Scott Schieman, now at the University of Toronto.
These angry emotions range from mild annoyance to yelling and feelings of outrage.
While anger is a normal human emotion, it could be detrimental if you hold on to it too long. And those who express their anger might actually live longer than those who keep it bottled in, one study found.
Well, Liz you can cast us in any light you wish. You have the right to be wrong- which you prove here every day. You are the one who has been mean and nasty toward people with handicaps, who are older, who are disabled. You are vicious toward anyone who disagrees with you. And you are the only one who is. No one else has every come in here and said nasty things about Chas or Dog or Gini, or Sterling or Retro or any of the others you have tried to hurt. It is all on you. You have learned your lessons well from your idols. It would be wonderful if you bothered to substantiate most of what you say but instead you dissemble into personal attacks. You want to be the smartest person here but you refuse to do the work in order to even come close. Thus the lack of respect for you and the lack of tolerance of your immature parrying. The worst thing you did was pick on Gini’s now deceased father. People find it hard to forget such crass and craven remarks. So, many of us have written you off and are unable to take anything you say. You did it to yourself.
If Carolyn is so easily refuted, why haven’t you done it yet? She has cited many polls, but your only refutation is to say that polls don’t mean anything. Of course they DO when YOU cite them. You used to say that Rasmussin was an inaccurate poll; but when I pointed out that Hannity quoted SEVERAL besides Rasmusin, you just railed on Hannity, saying, “…that’s all he has.” Well, if that is all he has, HE HAS QUITE A LOT. Why don’t you give us something CONCRETE that will PROVE the polls are wrong? Why havn’t you done that? Is it because you CAN’T?
The VALUE of education….
Those with fewer years of education were also more likely to report feelings of anger and were less likely to respond proactively in a situation that made them angry (for example, talking about what made them angry).
“It underscores the power of getting more education,” Schieman said. Education has been linked to feeling more self-control, which could be why those with more education tend to manage their anger more proactively, he told LiveScience.
Schieman’s findings will be detailed in a chapter of the forthcoming International Handbook of Anger, to be released in January 2010.
Sorry JAB, I don’t have time to read your rants. Maybe others here will be entertained by them – not me. You don’t figure anywhere in my project…sorry!
I’m outta here!
So, what is your point, Liz. You continually mistake anger for passion. You are the angriest 27 year old I have ever met. You can say what ever you wish but you are not equipped to evaluate others.
OK, hey JAB – what do you know about Gini? You were NOT around when she was here. Who the H E L L are you? What other “aliases” do you use?
If you don’t want to read what anyone has to say what is the point of being here? Could it be just to vent your pent-up anger?
I’m not angry at all Carolynro – I’m doing a project and trying to educate you guys – to no avail. You need a better outlet for your anger – but I guess that’s what right-wing blogs are for, huh? LOL
I read what important for my project – not what’s redundant – and most of it is. I do have a few new things thanks to Chuckie – who likes to contradict himself! LOL
Gotta go – give me some good stuff while I’m gone!
Oh yea, the la la land so-called project again.
Almost 8 month’s and nothing to show for it except making her self look foolish.
chas
Oh BS try a different lie.
It’s a year-long project Chuckie – sorry bout that. Bye!
He’s counting the days till I leave! LMAO! End of Spring term dude! And even then you might have to beg me to leave! (but I doubt it) LOL
Yea right, like I think education is a waste of time. Got any more lies?
I’m still waiting for that quote to show up from you.
chas
What project? At School? Who commissioned it? Is it your thesis?
Hey I don’t have time to go back and search old blogs – you do it for me! Better yet, why don’t you give me a new statement about the value of education. I would appreciate it.
It is truly disheartening that history is distorted and facts ignored or fudged in order to advance one’s own ideals. I did not make that up, and I don’t appreciate the suggestion that I did. These events happened within my lifetime. It’s not propaganda. It’s even in your beloved Wikipedia. Look it up. I’m not fighting with you anymore, and this is the last that I’ll speak to this subject with you, but please, one last time, I ask again that you and anyone else who doubts me do some research on this subject. You are remarkably mistaken about the crimes that they committed and their remorse. They have none, and have said so mulitple times. I believe that Mr. Ayers has been quoted in recent years as stating that he feels “they did not do enough.”
I know JAB and I told Jab about what you said
It’s bullchit carolyn.
She hasn’t the ability to write a kids book.
chas
Two different ones – different subjects, which I’ve already told you about numerous times. Go back and look. I have to leave now!
Liz…you should go to some real right wing blogs if you want your project to be legitimate. Please….
Sterling, if you post a “credible” news source I will check it out!
Later
Yes, I already have carolynro – and you should check out the other blogs on FOX. You would like them better – they are just as angry as you are! Check out Beck’s!
Sorry,
we don’t consider comedy central credible like you. We can only give you actual News sources.
chas
That is correct Sterling…Ayers did say he regretted “not doing enough”.
“OUT OF CONTEXT” Carolynro – but what did I expect. Go read the article where Ayers expressed regret! If you believe “out of context” quotes, then you are not believable at all.
Oh Liz…you are so mad this is funny how you rationalize your own behavior by transferring your anger to others…what a riot. I really should be sorry for picking on someone who is at such a disadvantage as you are. But, I am not. I always wonder what flotsam you will come up with. Ok I’ll stop.
I will accept AP, Yahoo News, Wall Street Journal (right-wing), Washington Post, NY Post – NO right wing blogs!
BTW, switch to CNBC – they just reported much better jobless numbers! The market will be UP today!
Ha…Al Bore has canceled his Copenhagen lecture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/03/gore-cancels-on-copenhagen-lecture-leaves-ticketholders-in-a-lurch/
And we are supposed to trust the democrats and liberals to run our country????
If you don’t have time to respond to me “rants”, please tell me how you know I posted (TEE-HEE). I am REALLY laughing–not just writing initials like YOU always do. Anyway, I’m sure it’s convenient for you to be “busy” today. I guess that’s what you HAVE to do when you can’t come up with an intelligent rebuttal. Have a nice pregressive (aka socialist) day.
Yes, there is a recovery in the private sector. Probably from holiday hiring at the retail stores but we will take what ever we can get.
Hey JAB…I sent you an email….
Huh? When did I EVER mention Gini? What are you talking about Liz? Didn’t you take your medication this morning?
I wrote about the nasty stuff that’s been said about most of us that are just made up pictures to fit her template. I will tell you more away from here.
Merry Merry Merry Christmas! … Merry merry merry Christmas!
You Betcha!!
Al Gore May Lose his Academy Award and Nobel Peace Prize. Al Gore is being called to account for the misinformed facts in his …
http://www.hollywoodgrind.com/al-gore-may-lose-his-academy-award-and-nobel-peace-priz
I was once part of a project like the one Liz is doing. A conservative scientist in a white coat stood with a stop watch in his hand to see how quickly I could make it through a maze. When I did well, he threw an M&M in my mouth. I finally got one.
The question is “Did Al Gore lie?” or ‘Was he just given bad intelligence?”
Will Al Gore be called before a House sub committee to explain his testimony to Congress about global warming and the cost to the taxpayers for Congress to pursue a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist?
If you want to have a pertinent discussion on air pollution, then let’s talk. But the issue should be addressed to the individual polluter as well as industry and should be global. And forget about cow farts! Vegens fart too!!
Yes Olinl, you are absolutely correct. I only hope this is one more thing the Republicans point out in the upcoming election. This is JUST ANOTHER LIE. JUST ANOTHER DECEPTION. As if Obama hasn’t deceived us enough.
Morning JAB. I see that this morning was just another waste of good air!!!
“Peace on Earth and Good Will Toward Men!”
The amusing thing in all of this is to watch all the Al Gore devotees trying to shake off the “Tar Baby”!!
Big Al better go on a diet quick, because there is not that much room under the bus!!
good one Olin…..
I want to know if the taxpayers are going to get back the $565 M he got to build green cars in Finland???? They will costs $89,000 each……so who here can afford them, and how does that help American jobs?
See Liz, the Dems. took your money and created jobs for Europeans?
That seems to one of your big issues with BUsh….that he sold jobs overseas, thereby hurting Americans.
See what Obama and Gore did for you?
Here is a must read for ALL AMERICANS, but the progressives, liberals and democrats and LIZ….
Yes, Jimmy…we have been made fools of by Al Bore and Obama.
The Arabs Have Stopped Applauding Obama
A foreign policy of penance has won America no friends.
By FOUAD AJAMI
‘He talks too much,” a Saudi academic in Jeddah, who had once been smitten with Barack Obama, recently observed to me of America’s 44th president. He has wearied of Mr. Obama and now does not bother with the Obama oratory.
continued:
“…He is hardly alone, this academic. In the endless chatter of this region, and in the commentaries offered by the press, the theme is one of disappointment. In the Arab-Islamic world, Barack Obama has come down to earth.
He has not made the world anew, history did not bend to his will, the Indians and Pakistanis have been told that the matter of Kashmir is theirs to resolve, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the same intractable clash of two irreconcilable nationalisms, and the theocrats in Iran have not “unclenched their fist,” nor have they abandoned their nuclear quest…”
“…”Mr. Obama could not make up his mind: He was at one with ‘the people’ and with the rulers who held them in subjugation. The people of Iran who took to the streets this past summer were betrayed by this hapless diplomacy — Mr. Obama was out to ‘engage’ the terrible rulers that millions of Iranians were determined to be rid of.” The man is simply on the wrong side of history because his mind has been corrupted, polluted, and perverted by the anti-Americanism of the people who raised him and educated him. “We are beyond…” Mr. Ajami continues: “We are beyond stirring speeches. The novelty of the Obama approach, and the Obama persona, has worn off. There is a whole American diplomatic tradition to draw upon” and we are not doing it. That’s setting the stage for this supposedly important speech tonight.”
If the Iranians block oil from the Mid East and ships quit sailing, how are they going to chip all that cheap chit from China over here?
LOL Carolynro – note the name of the author of that article….
By FOUAD AJAMI
does that tell you anything??? LMAO!
How has global warming been disproven? Are you people from outer space? Is that why you know these things? LMAO!
I do just scan thru your rants JAB – they are all the same.
Yeah. That’s it. Hang on to that “Tar Baby” untilit sinks you!!!
JAB – are you also the person who posts as Liberal? What are your other aliases? C’mon – come clean. I’ve seen all your rhetoric before – or are you all just so used to repeating Fox talking points that you all sound the same? The only ones who post anything useful to me are Carolynro and Sterling – and now Jimmy. I’ll check out your green cars dude – later. Just poppin in for a minute.
Bigot racist Olina…..brainless!
Climategate…….the fraud from misreported numbers and temps….it’s all over the papers and the news channels….has been for 2 weeks…..Gore even cancelled his trip to Copenhagen to speak????
Wghere have you been that you don’t know about this?
Kill the messanger, eh? Would you rather that Keith Olbermann wrote about the Arab opinion?
olina, do you live in a turnip truck down by the river? I bet you do!
And you said you believe the Wall Street Journal and that is where the piece was published.
Sorry, Jimmy – I haven’t been keeping up with that – is it only on FOX? Haven’t seen anything on other networks.
And….I thought we were all going to play nice?
FOUOD WRITES FOR THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
Oh I forgot you are bigoted against Middle Eastern people
No, but the WSJ is biased to a degree – as much as they can be and still remain a business newspaper. I think it’s all part of Rupert Murdoch’s empire, but I’m not sure. I always read the WSJ when it was a “normal” business paper. Now they have some shady stuff, but it’s all opinion. I take it with a grain of salt.
No..it had been reported on several channels….briefly…but it has been covered……
Global warming was never proven to begin with. That’s what is shown by these e-mails that were hacked. The so-called scientists fudged their data in order to “prove” a notion that fit in with their political ideals. They’ve corrupted science. This is a scandal that will plague science for decades.
The Goracle, just today, canceled his Copenhagen visit. Why?
Reuters is a good news source also – completely unbiased…and gives both sides equal space. When I post links to Yahoo News political stories they always have opinions from the right and the left. They seem to be completely fair.
Global Warming is the PC catch phrase to describe the results of excessive air pollution. Air pollution is real and on-going. Global Warming describes a phenomenon attributed to air pollution that is not supported by accurate data. As I said before, air pollution is on going, it is global, and needs to be addressed to individual polluters as well as industry.
We don’t need Cap and Tax because that is merely a tax and reduces nothing. Just turn out the lights and turn off the heat and AC, stop production of everything and above all stay home until someone comes up with a solution.
No, I am not bigoted against middle eastern people who are not bigoted against Americans. If they are American and they act like Americans, then they are OK. I think we have to be careful who we let into this country from the middle east – more careful than Bush was!
Try citing both sides, for a REAL change!!
Oh for God’s sake you are a lunk head. You have an excuse for every thing don’t you? Man oh man! MSNBC is owned by GE who is up in Obama’s colon and you still think MSNBC is not biased? If Cap and Trade goes down in flames, so does NBC according the the financial experts who say that GE needs Obama’s billions to stay afloat…yet that place is a-okay with you!
I’ll tell you my opinion on global warming – I don’t really have one because I haven’t studied it much. However, when I do, I will make sure I cover all angles. I do believe the ice caps are melting – that is obvious. What is causing it? I don’t know for sure, so I won’t take a stand on it – yet!
It won’t harm the earth to use “green” energy though – that much I know for sure….and it will most likely help a lot as the world becomes more industrialized.
You already admitted you don’t like Middle Eastern people months ago. You decide if they behave in a certain way to appease you?
The 9/11 terrorists entered our country nearly a decade before the attack you imbecile.
Do you ever watch CNBC? That’s the most right-wing station (for business) that I’ve ever seen – and they are wholly owned by NBC! ALL other networks are much more FAIR and BALANCED than FOX!!! MSNBC has regular right-wing shows! Watch it sometime.
I don’t trust all of them, NO! What about you?
It is absolutely incredible the lies that so-called well-meaning people can conjure up, and even more incredible the number of people that will believe them!!
BUBBA
Well, I think you should listen to Rush everyday and get a complete education from someone who is not OWNED by anyone.
The numbers do not support your contention that Fox is not balanced. You cannot show and evidence of your claims. If you can find any studies – not blogs- that support your belief with facts, I would be happy to read them. But, until then, I am not persuaded that you have any clue what balanced is.
Yes, CNBC is interesting if you need a blow by blow on the stock market every day which my broker says to not do.
I believe the American people are waking up to who the “imbecile” is. Harris poll says that only 42 percent of American people say Obungle is doing an acceptable job. Are you saying that 58 percent of the American public are imbeciles. And you never answered my question, Liz. Are you ready to “constrict your dreams” as your Messiah says we’re all going to have to do now? And please answer (if you CAN) why it is that Obungle is now saying that employment is going to have to come from the private sector? Isn’t the private sector the “bad guy” in your mind? Answer me, Liz (IF YOU CAN).
As I see it, Reuters is a news service that simply reports the news as observed by their reporters. AP, on the other hand, includes opinion in place of fact in practically every report they make. Therefore I do my own research rather than simply buy in to what ever supports my point of view. Even Fox is guilty of reporting news before they have all the facts. O’Reilly, Beck and Hannity are all commentary programs and therefore they can rightfully express their opinions. No one is forced to view or accept what they say!! That’s why there are buttons on the remote!!
BUBBA
And I do like my Beck. I have a six-pack every now and then when I can buy it!!
Even Campbell Brown from CNN says that MSNBC is a liberally biased network. Only Liz is ridiculous enough to say they are FAIR AND BALANCED. Somebody help me. I’m looking for an adjective to describe Liz. I’m having trouble coming up with one that adequately gives the full scope of her pitiful ignorance.
There was a big wreeck up on the four-lane yesterday. They say Bush caused it!!
BUBBA
How about BRAIN DEAD, JAB?
BUBBA
I have to agree with Bubba. It seems every station has it’s own point of view…and expect ( or demand) that their reporter’s show that….I can’t think of one single reporter today….that I totally trust….I long for Walter Cronite, Huntley and Brinkly…when we believed we were getting facts….not slanted opinions…
This is why I say you need to read 1984…..the hero “rewrites” history to suit the needs of the curren t adminstration……he writes propaganda…..even goes back and changes what was written before……as the powers that be change their needs….
Gee, Carolynro. I was starting to believe that the hi-jackers arrived here on January 21, 2001, and completed their flight training on September 9!! Just some more of the dam lies that well-meaning people conjure up.
BUBBA
Well, Bubba after listening to the media bash the living stuffing out of Bush for everything from golfing (which he gave up) to his speaking style, to being superbly physically fit, to being stupid (which he is not), to being a business man, to having a soft spot for Latinos, I guess I am justified in bashing this girly-man who has no substance, no emotion, no clue about what his job is. He never used the word “victory” in his speech on Afghanistan and never thanked the troops and staged his event in front of an audience which is sworn it’s fealty to him and is not allowed to show any feelings except those of support. He makes me sick. Sicker than Clinton made me feel because at least Clinton worked with republicans.
Hang on a minute carolynro while I stand up, face Washington, D. C., and give a big straight arm, one finger salute! I have to agree, and it is all the fault of the Progresseevos that we of the right blame it all on Odoihaveanegoorwhat!!
BUBBA
By the way, I included a Bronx Cheer with that!
BUBBA
Liz, if you want to know more about the Communist Party USA, go to their web site. We are based in New York. We have our own newspaper and magazine that I know you would enjoy. You should definitely investigate further. I believe we might be the group you want to allign with. Just let me know.
And the Son of Darkness has arrived!!
Have a good life, IndyJoe!!
I don’t think so IndyJoe – Communism has died out in most of the world, and I think it’s way too oppressive. It’s not conducive to a “free” country! Post your website here if you want and I’ll take a look at it.
Well, at least Clinton had some Republicans to work with – that was before they went “nuts”! LOL
Blogger – just STFU – everything you say can be heard on FOX every day! LMAO!
Since O’Reilly, Hannity and Beck are “commentary” programs, why do they always say they report, you decide! They have already decided for you – and you are gobbling up every word of it! All three of them call themselves “fair and balanced” when in reality they are anything but!!! LOL
Bubba, are you a girly-man like Beck? Do you cry every day, or just occasionally? LOL
CNBC has tons of news besides stocks – watch Kudlow in the evenings – he’s very right-wing.
Hey JAB, you are too long-winded and non-sensical for me – so excuse me if I just scroll on by! Thanks!
I’ll try to be less long winded. I know you have an attention span problem. Obviously you CAN’T answer the questions I posed. Your latest post is your feeble, pathetic attempt at pretending you didn’t SEE the questions I asked. As for the questions themselves, I didn’t get them from Fox. I got them from Obama himself as I observed him on CNN rambling on at his JOBS SUMMIT. That’s when he said we (YOU and me) would have restrict our dreams. He also said we now have to look toward the private sector for jobs because the government doesn’t have enough resources. So give me your answer, Oh “High Priestess of Socialist Thought”. What do you think about constricting your dreams? (IF YOU CAN, I’d like to hear your answer; but if you can’t I understand). You’re a little like our useless attorney general who also couldn’t answer Lindsay Graham’s question.
For once I agree with you, Liz. Fox ISN’T fair and balanced. They are just correct. That’s all that matters to me. I’m so tired of the leftist propaganda coming out of the mainstream media that I could vomit. It’s about time we had some news that agrees with REAL Americans’ way of thinking.
Hey JAB. Waalaah!! I rest my case!!
BUBBA
Communism may have died out in the rest of the world, but you are full of **** if you think it isn’t on the rise in America.
I think your right, JAB. She can’t answer your question. She is running away like a scared rabbit.
I don’t consider myself a girly man, but I will admit to shedding a teat occasionally, especially when I remember my daughter. She was a woman of truth and grace, and a respecter of people.
Not a mindless fraud in a skirt, like you!!!
BUBBA
I should have said TEAR. Sorry about that!!
BUBBA
Thank you FrancisSC and welcome. It’s good hearing from a REAL American. I just noticed something that was a little funny. Liz typed SEVEN straight posts, and she says I’m long winded. HAR-DEE-HAR-HAR.
Yes, and she frequents this blog more than anybody here. I have noticed she even shows up on the weekends. She must have nothing at all to do.
Dear Liz, you are so wrong about us. Why don’t you do a little research? We are very progressive in our philosophy. We do not advocate oppression–just the opposite, in fact. We are for a gradual and PEACEFUL transition to socialism. In fact, acts of violence cause immediate dismissal from our party. Some of the primary causes we espouse are 1. peace, 2 women’s rights, 3. gay rights, and 4. equitable distribution of income. I think you believe in these principles too. I am trying to tell you that you have us all wrong. The Communist Party USA is not the party of the ones you’ve heard about from yesteryear. We are actively seeking new members. Again, our web site is easy to find. Just type in CommunistPartyUSA . I believe it could change your life. You are too bright to waste your time blogging with these reactionary buffoons.
I wonder what a left wing station on business would sound like. Maybe the sound of silence?
BUBBA
All of that, IndyJoe is based on the premise that there will be income to distribute!!
BUBBA
IndyJoe and Liz, sitting in a tree . . .k-i-s-s-i-n-g. Why am I not surprised?
If there aint no income to distribute you can bet your ass there wont be no peace either!
BUBBA
I so dislike when wordpest eats my post. Oh well, maybe it will show up later.
I think today’s Dr. Phil is just for the brat kid. It’s about Gen ME!
chas
Good afternoon, Chas.
Indy, if Communism is so very wonderful, why waste your life working so hard to convert America? You could immigrate to any of several Communist countries today. I’m sure they would love to have you. And we would also love for them to have you.
Afternoon all…..
Afternoon Olin.
We are awaiting the arrival of a rare snow storm this evening. It is moving in from Texas, therefore it HAS to be Bush’s fault!!
Go ahead Liz, send Indy your membership to the communist party . Your still a member, Right?
Top of the afternoon Jimmy and John. 5 o’clock somewhere!!
Hope we don’t get your weather. It didn’t make it up to 50 today here……gloomy and cold…..now there’s a light , chilly rain.
John,
Confused for certain, communist, not so much. Although liberal, socialist and communist are only baby steps apart.
chas
Yeah, Jimmy. The weather is nasty here, too.
We are all stocked up on necessities, but this type of weather doesn’t last too long, unless we get ice with it. Then power becomes an issue.
This is funny – this woman thinks she can ask “tabloid” questions at press conferences:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_pl1014
I love Gibb’s answer to her! LOL
I love these out-of-nowhere aliases who pop up and criticize! Where did you come from Francis, and who is your “normal” alias??? LMAO!
Now 2 project’s that are a year long?
What happened to the article/paper/book or the other things you’ve claimed were only keeping you here a month or so? What are we up to a made for movie for TV now?
Problem with lying is you have to remember what you said.
But since lying seems to be a way of life with you, I’m sure the disparity doesn’t bother you at all.
Gen Me in action…lol
chas
IndyJoe, I do agree that most bloggers here are reactionary buffoons, and they’ve been called worse, but they call me worse as well! LOL However, I would never join the Communist party. I am all about capitalism, as long as it’s not allowed to get out of control the way it did under the GOP for the last 8 years, unregulated. Corporations made sure laws were passed that favored them and allowed them to “screw” the taxpayers in more ways than one.
We need “brighter” representatives, and that’s for sure. I think there should be a “minimum” level of education required, but there’s not. That’s why we get people like Joe Wilson and Michelle Bachmann in the Senate. They should have to take a test on the Constitution to make sure they know it and won’t abuse it. Our way of gov’t has always worked well for us, but right now it needs some fine tuning.
Have a great evening
Stop talkin to me Chuckie! I owe you NO explanation. If you can’t remember anything, it’s not my fault! LMAO!
Have a wonderful evening :0
Evasion is always what you do.
Fine, but I’m betting you will address me before I address you, because you always do. You just can’t stand being on the loosing end of every argument.
Have a nice life. I hope you mature some day.
chas
Tell me troll, do you agree with these things?
President Obama on Friday abruptly altered the timing of his upcoming appearance at an international climate summit in Copenhagen, hoping to capitalize on steps by India and China and build a more meaningful political accord, the White House announced Friday.
Or more likely that he’s just found out that the whole thing is a fraud built with tampered with data.
Hopefully this will put an end to the economy killing crap and tax bill.
chas
Liz, my dear, you are either for capitalism or you are not. There is no control in true capitalism. Read the definition here: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/capitalism
Capitalism is free-market competition. What you’re suggesting is government oversight of the free-market. The two are polar opposites.
(I told you once that I’m a card-carrying capitalist. You want me to get you a card? LOL!!)
BTW, I tried your apple cake recipe, and it was yummy. Thanks for sharing it!
Sterling, in a world economy capitalism works a bit differently than it has in the past. American corporations used to hire Americans, but now they are opting to send jobs overseas where labor is cheaper. If we encourage them to do that we will have a problem with jobs in this country. I’m all for tax cuts for corporations as long as they keep jobs here – but if they don’t, they have to pay from the enormous profits they make by sending jobs overseas to get labor cheap! I know you can understand this – you are a smart woman. This is what I mean by super-capitalism. There has to be rules. Things are different today than they ever were in the past, and that’s why we can’t use the past to predict the future of this country.
I’m glad you tried my apple cake! Is it not the best? Yum!
P.S. Please tell the Dog that I don’t answer people who call me “troll”. That’s name calling! (yeah, I call him names, but only because he started it – yeah, this is like middle school) LOL
Fantastic! Every word is just incredibly fantastic!!
It is middle school, dear, but I gotta say, you started this war and he is a guard dog, and you’re on your own there. He’s a great guy, and calling him names is one thing, but he did not start it, you did, and I have to warn you, starting wars with persons of high intelligence is not going to work out in you favor at all. You can fight all day long, but you will not win.
Now, let’s talk capitalism. Where on earth is there capitalism, but here in the USA? Tell me please, I want to hear from you. What world economy do you speak of, and why should I care of it? Why did the work go overseas, and more importantly, how do we get it back here, in America? I’m serious; I’d like to hear your thoughts on this.
Sterling,
The problem isn’t with the system of capitalism, it’s with the people who now run it. There was a time when running a business meant taking care of the people that worked for you. That would apply no mater how far the system spread around the globe.
The real problem is the left hijacked the education system, drove God out of every day life and forgot that we, as a Nation, were founded on a belief that our Constitution was for a religious people and wholly unsuitable for any other.
When the roots of a tree are ripped from its foundation, it tends to die. Democracies are short lived in the pages of history, which is why we created a Republic.
Good night.
At least 13 people were killed Friday in shootouts in northern Mexico between Mexican troops and gunmen, authorities said.
An army official who spoke on condition of anonymity because is not authorized to speak to the media said all those killed were gunmen suspected of working for the Zetas, drug trafficers who also works as enforcers for the Mexican Gulf cartel.
The northern Mexican newspaper El Norte, however, reported that at least one bystander was killed.
Troops were searching a villa in the town of Juarez, a suburb of Monterrey, on Friday when they were ambushed by a group of heavily armed men. Ten gunmen were killed in the initial shootout, the official said.
Television images showed a garden littered with bloody corpses. Several handcuffed men sat on the ground with shirts pulled over their heads and a line of automatic rifles near them.
Sterling, you’ve got to be kidding me! You don’t even know about the hijacking of our jobs? Where have you been dear? Ross Perot warned us about it – that “giant sucking sound” – remember? Now it’s gone beyond NAFTA – to India (where I hear engineers can be had for about $30K as opposed to $90-150K in the USA). What company doesn’t want to take advantage of that? IBM sure did! They laid off 5,000 workers earlier this year and sent all their jobs to India. Many other corporations have done the same. They were encouraged by the former admin. Do some RESEARCH!!! Do you know how? We have to stop these jobs from leaving the country. Sure, the balance sheets of these corporations are pleasing the stockholders, but what happens when there’s no market here in the U.S. for their products because nobody has a job???
As for the guard dog – that’s all he is! A dog! His bark is worse than his bite, but he’s been biting me since day one! LOL
A bus driver was killed and about 40 passengers injured Saturday morning when the bus crashed into an overturned tractor-trailer blocking Interstate 25 in central Wyoming.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend said the crash involving the Arrow Stage Lines bus going from Denver to Billings, Mont., occurred about 1:40 a.m. Saturday.
He said after the tractor-trailer crashed in the northbound lanes, a second tractor-trailer driver stopped and activated its hazard flashers.
Townsend said about three to five minutes later, the driver of the bus apparently didn’t see the overturned tractor-trailer and ran into it. The bus driver’s name has not been released.
Police said the bus remained upright. Nearly all 47 passengers were transported to medical facilities.
Sterling, do you know anything about Globalization or the World Trade Organization and how they are destroying third world countries? Read up on it and we can talk about it. Super-capitalism has a very ugly side to it. Don’t be uninformed!!! That’s the worst thing you can do. That goes for EVERYONE, but I think it falls on deaf ears here, although I hope not.
Mara Proctor used to design limestone hearths and columns for luxury homes near Kansas City, drawing on her college education and six years of training.
These days, she’s leading customers around a store that sells sculptured snowmen and Santa figurines.
It isn’t by choice. Until a few weeks ago, Proctor was among the record 5.9 million Americans who have been jobless for at least six months. Now she belongs to a subset of that group: Out-of-work professionals and managers, engineers and teachers who have turned, in desperation, to holiday-season jobs as sales clerks.
Retailers report a surge in applications this year from professionals who had never applied for such jobs before.
