A computer problem temporarily disrupted United Airlines flights at O’Hare International Airport on Thursday, causing long delays and lines for travelers headed out for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The outage affected all of United’s computers at the airport and also caused about 100 flights to be canceled as of Thursday afternoon, said airline spokeswoman Robin Urbanski.

The problem with the check-in computers ran from 3 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., she said.

A Colorado meat company is expanding a recall of beef due to possible contamination by E.coli O157:H7 bacteria after an investigation found 18 illnesses may be linked to the meat, the company and the U.S. Agriculture Department said on Sunday.

Greeley, Colorado-based JBS-Swift Beef Co is voluntarily expanding its June 24 recall to include about 380,000 lbs of assorted beef products, for a total recall of about 421,000 lbs, USDA and the company said.

The affected beef was produced on April 21 and was distributed nationally and internationally.

I have NEVER slandered or bullied anyone Sterling! I’m very careful about my choice of words…for they can come back to haunt you. All I’ve done is expressed my views and challenged a few people about theirs. I’m doing research, and I got some good info. from some people. Others just like to vent here and be as nasty as they know how to be, which is considered “free speech”. Hopefully they don’t act that way in person! LOL I doubt it. Just be careful about “crossing the line” into threats. Then you might not be able to remain anonymous.

Liz, since you claim to know how Keynsian economics works, can you explain what happened in Carter’s administration that discredited Keynsian economics? And can you explain why you think it is the model used in China? And can you explain why China is growing more since it abandoned total state control and became, to oversimplify, “less Keynsian”? If it is the better model, why is China growing better with less of it?

Fox News is my New Channel!!! But I am so disappointed. I understand the need to report very important deaths and the affairs, but where is the important news. We need more of this: Cap and Trade, Afghanistan, Tarp Spending, Pakistan, The North Korean Ship. You may have had short reports on these and other important news. I cant’ watch 24 hours a day. WE NEED MORE COVERAGE OF THE TRULY IMPORTANT NEWS ITEMS. Thanks! Fox is not the best new channel. It is the only news channel.
