Alisyn in the Greenroom

Saturday Morning

We’re here early to bring you the latest into the investigation of Michael Jackson’s death.  The autopsy doesn’t reveal anything obvious that killed the pop star, so I’m gonna go with drugs.  He was apparently, according to sousrces, injesting a medicine cabinet worth of narcotics.  His doctor is missing in action.  Should the doctors who prescribed him a drug cocktail be charged in his death?  Why does superstardom so often end in tragedy?  We’ll share our most memorable Michael Jackson moment (the wonderful and the ugly).  What’s the moment that sticks in your mind?

Ladies out there, listen up:  a new study finds that a woman is at her happiest at 28 years old.  I call baloney on that.  Having just celebrated a birthday (I’ll insert a photo here after the show), i can say with authority, 28 was NOT the best year.  I hear from lots of women that their 20’s are filled with insecurity and worry that it won’t all work out and their 30’s and 40’s are so much more satisfying.     What was your favorite year?

More developing…

Good morning early early bird, glad you’re on an hour early.

I have to think back on my 20’s, hmmmm deep sea fishing all over the Caribbean before kids, not so bad. But kids are better ~

Kids vs. the Carribbean, hmmm…let me think about that. Yup, you’re right.

Ah Alisyn, you would be absolutely correct abt your observation. I PROMISE the very best and most excellent age, is 40!!!!! If God ask me what age I wanted to be the rest of my “life”, it would definitely be FORTY!!!! It is the best of everything, for a woman, in my opinion. :) :)

Good Morning. Been awhile since I was here. Glad to Gini & Betty are still here. Poor M.J, wonder now if his victims will step forward. His Dr’s should of known better. I really believed he was a truly messed up lonely person. And the only ones I think he could real be himself was with kids. He did have a gift one can’t deny that but @ what price to his private life & all the questions that hovered over him. Wonder if the world will now know the truth. With all the past people who have died @ the hands of their personal Dr’s care. Seems these doctors have don’t have to answer to anyone till they get caught.
By 28 yrs I remember being Free! 30’s Fantastic, the way I look @ it as long as I’m walking around It’s a good year!

My favorite Michael Jackson song and moment was Dirty Diana. He performed in London and Pricess Diana was there and he sang that song, and when they showed her she was smiling and seemed to really be enjoying herself. Two lives who were tragically cut short, I will always remember where I was when I heard Princess Diana died and when Michael Jackson died

My Theory on age.
20s when you get married and start having the kids
30s is when you’re trying to juggle the full time job, the kids, the sports, the school and still figure out what you want to do when you grow up.
40s = so far I think this is when you re-connect with yourself, your kids don’t need you as much as they need your wallet, you might be financially comfortable to reevaluate your career decisions…I don’t know, probably the only drawback is I was having WAY MORE SEX in my 20s

Comment by johnjay1788

Going through MJ’s pill list… it’s amazing the guy was still standing. He was on three types of anti-anxiety (xanax and paxil) and anti-depressants (zoloft)… prilosec (used for either stomach problems due to the painkillers or nerves)… and two hardcore painkillers (demerol and dilaudid) and a moderately powerful painkiller (vicodin). Then there is the lone anti-histamine (vistaril).

Comment by Gini

Alisyn,
One would surmise that the Dr’s that engage in taking care of the rich and famous, appear in some cases, to not exercise very good judgment. IF indeed, this doctor was doing anything at all, that was illegal, they will consider charges, as they have done in the past. I am always sorry when this happens, for sure. It is evil…but, there are always those out there ready to take a buck or two, instead of doing their job.

Good morning Alisyn,

So is Fox News going to devote a second day to Michael Jackson? I will agree that he was incredibly talented and some of his music I enjoyed, but the media fiasco of his death is simply too much. All you’re doing is rehashing the old mash over and over again.

Enough is enough!!

It’s rather pathetic when more Americans vote for a particular person on American Idol than they do in a presidential election. It is well beyond the point that the people must focus on what is a priority. Getting caught up in the sad life of a disturb celebrity while we have a chief executive demonstrating that the Constitution is an inconvenient piece of paper scares me.

One morning the people are going to wake up and find that the United States that they know and love no longer exists in the way they took for granted. Then the people are going to ask….”How did this happen?”

Move on Fox News there is more going on in the world beside the death of Michael Jackson.

Comment by Stuart Blackburn

PLEASE KEEP THE STORIES AND REPORTS ABOUT JACKSON TO A MINIMUM. I’M “MICHAEL’D OUT” ALREADY. YES, THE GUY DIED AND HE WAS A TALENT. WHAT BOTHERS ME IS THE GUY WAS A PIECE OF CRAP AND NOW, EVERYONE WANTS TO ANOINT HIM A SAINT. FAR MORE IMPORTANT THINGS ARE HAPPENING, LIKE THE BILL PASSED BY THE HOUSE YESTERDAY, THAT HAVE MORE RELEVANCE TO ME THAN MAKING MICHAEL A SAINT!!!!!

Had to rescue the Inspector General fr the front room!!!! He hung a left instead of a right, and was ‘LOST’!!!! Now in his comfy chair in the fam room, watching F&F, and keeps asking me, What are they talking abt?? :) :) The congress is supposed to guard against run away Presidents, who have lost their way…apparently THIS congress has also forgotten it’s primary job, hum? lol Of course, I continue to wonder why they would allow any of their authority to be jeopardized, but apparently they aren’t reading anything, while not doing their job, or so it appears to this citizen. lol

does anyone know where that N. Korean ship (with nukes?) is now?

Comment by Liz K

Good morning everyone. I’ve been up awhile but had computer difficulties.
Michael Jackson was a talented musician. He died. I think the constant coverage is a sad commentary on our society’s fixation on celebrity and the media’s willingness to try to profit from that fixation. There was no NEWS value beyond the reporting of his death and the autopsy results. Virtually everything else has been sensationalism.

The best year of my life…… I’m beginning to think it hasn’t happened yet because every year seems to be better than the last.

Comment by Dave Tittle

When are you going to stop talking about the freak? At one time he was a great entertainer, but he chose drugs, plastic surgery and who knows what else and lived in the Twilight Zone. It all makes perfect sense that he died at an early age. We look to Fox to bring us the news and some sanity. Leave the freak show to mainstream media.

Michael Jackson; music charts he would top
We crowned him as “The King of Pop.”

With a childlike smile on his face
A respectful person full of style and grace

And when children were sick he would lend a hand
He’d fly to their rescue this modern day Peter Pan.

Your work here is now over its time to rest
Your talents will live on you were truly blessed.

Some may look down on you as they stand on some self made pillar
But no one can deign you truly were a thriller…

I agree the over the top Mj 24/7 is getting ridiculous, especially when congress is sneaking in the worst bill in history to ruin our economy. Awful! I’ve owned a business for 39 years and trust me, this will rip it for most small businesses.

As for age, I’m 66 and undoubtedly I’m a late bloomer but I think old age is GREAT! I feel sexier than I ever did in my twenties, no kidding! I was so busy and stressed in my twenties and thirties and forties I enjoy this stage of my life the most of all! I adore my kids but it is easier to adore self-supporting adults than teenagers and grandkids are icing on the cake!

You’ll all be amazed at how fast it goes, and there is joy in every stage of life. My mother in law is almost 91 and still works every day, driving herself to her own antique shop which she runs in the house where she was rasied.

Comment by Gini

I agree with that Jimmy and Chas…I always felt that NK’s job, was to keep America busy and spending funds as well as time on them, taking the focus off other things. I can’t imagine China wants that fool to have nukes!!! But, he does tend to get the attn every time, and we seem to be unable to do anything at all abt it. Each prez thinks they can negotiate, and each time they are thwarted, fooled, miss directed, ??? One would think we could move FORWARD instead of repeating past mistakes!!! Guess that’s not happenin’ at all, especially with this prez, who definitely thinks he can “talk” to evil liars, and all of a sudden, they will be ready to behave. lol

Second time heard about program to pay girls to not get pregnant. This time by the creator. Though the program has merit, where is the incentive for boys to not get someone pregnant. With the declining numbers for boys entering college and getting degrees, where’s the concern for the other half. As it is with so many “programs,” boys are left to fend for themselves.

With the collapse of the American family, programs that reduce unwanted pregnancy are worthwhile. The incentive to reduce unwanted pregnancy must be approached from both the male AND female perspective. Boys, as well as girls, suffer with a teen pregnancy. No, this isn’t a debate of who suffers more. I have a hard time paying someone for something they shouldn’t be doing anyway.

Good morning Sal…another gorgeous day, so far, here in Ohio. Hopefully the weather will stay nice this weekend, for the Comfest, here in the capital. An interesting festival, for sure, with very good things, along with some rather strange people present and accounted for also. We are going this yr, as the daughter is singing on the main stage, and she is thrilled. Their band is quite good, and this is a very nice venue for them to get a wider audience. I am very excited for them. lol :)

To this story about illegal aliens slipping through the cracks, to be trained for jobs. What crack?? What part of “illegal” do people not hear. Why would someone here illegally be able to “slip” through a crack? Why, when they were arrested in the first place, for committing a 2nd crime, (being here illegally, their 1st crime) would they have not been DEPORTED?? I just do not understand, why Mexican illegals, get some kind of special treatment, and heads just turn the other way. Where if you were a Polish, Iranian, whatever, immigrant, found here illegally, there would be no question, but they would be sent to ICE, and different rules apply. The laws were written for a reason, I wish people would stand up and vote out these politicians, that let the Mexican population break the law at will. It seems VERY simple to me, a politician, ESPECIALLY a politician should up-hold the law, and if they do not, or vote to not, they should be voted out!!
A concerned United States Citizen,
Tracy

A single wind turbine that can power 1000 homes costs 1 Million dollars installed

There are 194 million homes in the USA from apartments to mansions.

We could power more then half the homes in the USA with just the money that will go to GM / Chrysler 100 Billion dollars.

This would free up electricity for other uses and would reduce the amount of coal we need to burn.

HUCKSTER is totally wrong on this one
COAL has nothing to do with the OIL we buy.

Oil is not used to produce electricity in the USA at any significant level.
Nuclear Energy is the worst source of energy the Spent Fuel needs to be stored for tens of thousands of years.

HOWEVER Obama is not being honest this TAX will fund health care not Alternative fuel investments. We will see no investment in Wind Solar Hydroelectric or Geothermal because Electric companies will be trying to stay alive while people greatly reduce their use of electric just like happened with driving this year. Margins will be slim.

This is the worst deal ever made and with only a cursory look you can see CAFE standards are still NOT being applied to SUVs and TRUCKS

This is offensive to everyone from seniors that dont have the money to Environmentalists or just the general public that KNOW WIND CAN POWER OUR HOMES TODAY!

We are not stupid

Todays technology can replace every coal and nuke plant.
DONT USE TAXES ONE A UTILITY WE CAN NOT DO WITH OUT TO APPLY IT TO HEALTH CARE.

Comment by Gini

Tina…I think we all wish that to happen, and appears it is happening? The phones, emails, EVERYTHING was shut down, with the response fr the citizen’s. The prob might not be lack of concern fr the citizen, but lack of concern fr those “in charge”, so 2010, is coming up fast, and hopefully everyone will remember and VOTE, instead of staying home in “protest”….a rather strange response I always think, in answer to who might be in a position of power. :) So, you be shoutin’ at the choir, perhaps? and prob should use all the nice words you know, actually, and stay away fr those not so nice? lol :)

Comment by Frank C

Morning all.

Let the King of Sleeze RIP…lets move on to more improtant subjects.

JohyJay, thanks for the list of RHINOs. Do you or anyone know of a site that breaks down Congressional Votes by party.

Chas, Drill Baby Drill should be augmented with NUKE ‘EM, LET THE 4 WINDS BLOW, and U ARE MY SUNSHINE. We should have built nuke plants years ago…we should tell the environmentalists to go to China and clean up their polution which is many many times worse than ours. We can’t build wind farms and solar arrays because it will harm the visual apperance of the land…what about the slaughter of innocent jobs that this legislation will KILL?

HockeyGuy, I mostly agree with you. I disagree about nuke power the Dept of Energy has storage sites where the spent fuel rods can be safely stored. I lived in the shadow of a nuclear power plant in upstate NY for 30 plus years and where was nary a hic-up.

You failed to mention one of the main reason we have not gone to alternative energy NIMBY (Not in My Back Yard).

Comment by Gini

Ah ha!!! The personal shopper is home, so am dashing to see if cookies are part of the purchases. yummmmmmmm….brb

Comment by HockeyGuy

You be the real judge about Wind Power.

IT IS REAL – IT WORKS – AND IT IS NOT RADIOACTIVE(so the kitties dont die)

Todays technology
cheaper then every other type of new plant that can be built
Solar is also an answer

So Wind at Night / Solar in the day

OR WOULD YOU RATHER THE CHINA SYNDROME?

its a real alternative
However Taxing coal to fund health care will never buy a single wind turbine or solar cell.

Although we are sad over the death of Michael Jackson, I wonder why we as americans do not spend as much time on the men and women in uniform who die each day for the freedom we all enjoy. The news spends more time on the death of MJ and if we are lucky we get a couple of mintues on the war that our true hero’s are fighting. I will give Nancy Grace that one thing, she does give us a brief moment into the life of one of our fighting men and women at the end of her show. At the very least each news show should be doing the same. We have so many heros in this country and yet we place more value on people in entertainment then those in uniform providing the freedom to enjoy them.

Comment by Ron

why not pursue all of the alternatives for reducing our dependency on middle east oil. Off shore drilling, wind, solar, nuclear. Certainly in my mind solar and wind are no brainers, we already have the resource, we just need to tap them.
How about all the roof tops we have around the country that could be loaded with solar panels, if we just made it affordable.

WAKE UP AMERICANS…..

EVERYONE mourning The King of Pops death, NEEDS to get back to the REAL ISSUES of OUR country at hand!

The King’s GONE!

What I want to know is, What are “WE THE PEOPLE” going to do about this, FEDERAL MAFIA, that’s taking “OUR” COUNTRY over, like a run-away locamotive?????

Spending “OUR” tax dollars like a bunch of drunken BUMS, riding around in their fancy cars and Private jets!

Giving failing businesses BILLIONS of tax dollars!

Passing Bills to raise “OUR” taxes, yet again!
WITHOUT even reading the 1500+ pages of these Bills!
Not to mention dumping in 300+ extra pages at 3AM the morning the Cap & Trade Bill was to be voted on!

ALL I keep hearing in ANY Media, is oh next time Vote them out!

Yet, in the meantime, they’re being allowed to basically, snowball this Great Nation of “OURS” into HELL, here on Earth!

They (political Mafia Leaders) of “OUR” country are doing as they please!

Meanwhile, “OUR” Rights and Freedoms are being stripped away!

Wasn’t it somewhere in “OUR” history said, “No taxation without representation”??????

What in Gods name is happening right NOW, all throughout “OUR” country?

WAKE UP MY FELLOW “TRUE AMERICANS” BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olin…but!!!! WE aren’t allowed to cut the trees down, for any reason, on any day, regardless of the fact that they do grow right back. We have been convinced, it is better to let whole communities burn to the ground, rather than ridding the area of combustible derbies. The fight is on, I must think, if cutting down trees is part of what would happen IF the wind turbines become our “source” of power. YIKES yet one more time!!!!! :)

Women at 28…
About 20 years ago there was a medical study about the optimum age for a woman’s most beautiful year. It was conducted by interviewing Plastic Surgeons. The conclusion was that the peak of physical beauty for women is 28. That included hair shine, skin elasticity, clear eyes, physical agility, etc. There has been a common belief ever since that a woman ‘peaks’ at the age of 28. I am quite sure that this study is at the base of the study by the hair color company.
Notice the study stated ‘physical beauty’. I would have to say that was true for me. The question, “Would you want to go back there?” And, have the wisdom I have now? Sure.

What I find most surprising about the 911 call for MJ is that they stated that the MD was “pumping his chest”, yet he was still on the bed. Every emergency care worker knows that CPR must be performed on a hard surface. Performing CPR on a bed would have been completely ineffective.

Good morning Alisyn, all

Loved Jackson’s (Jackson 5) music! My most memorable moment of his music was at a Sigma Chi party. My husband “pinned” me that evening, and became the “sweetheart of Sigma Chi”. (that would be an actual PIN..LOl get your minds out of the gutter) lol The next song that they played was THRILLER…. and the entire party did the “dance”….;-)

However I think it’s time to let him rip. I am never comfortable with these play by play accounts of ANYONE’s final hours/death. other people’s struggles and demon’s do not interest me… I just hope now he has found peace in the hands of his lord.

Best year of my life so far is this year… It does keep getting better and better… I had lots of ‘losses” in my late 30’s early 40’s, major moves, and was rasing young children. In other words HARD work! LOL.. I am happy those years are behind me.;-0

Ron Israel requires every home to have solar hotwater heaters there is little reason that for the $4,000 it costs that every new home in the USA could not be required to have one.

In many states you can get huge discounts

http://www.dsireusa.org/
This is a main clearing house for discounts

If you sell your carbon credits to your local power company
many states in the south west and around the country will
pay for 100% of your solar install

Solar is expensive though It can cost 25k per house and in areas that do not give you big rebates the payback time is 20 years.

OBAMA has earmarked 200 million dollars a drop in the ocean for Alternative Energy.

Much of that money will go to Car Companies to develop Battery Technology.

The Administration has no plans to do away with Coal because if they do they can not apply the taxes to their Health Care program.

Comment by Roy

Hi everyone,

Thank you Lori for agreeing with me that all “play by play” about Michael Jackson’s death is a little sick. I got on my soap box about this earlier. The media is amplifying the tragedy in my humble opinion.
Anyway, with regard to the initial question posed to us, I’m not sure I have all the answers with regard to why superstars like Elvis and Michael Jackson come to tragic ends; but I suspect it is largely because they lose sight of who they are. The Michael Jackson that was born in Indiana (at least I believe it was Indiana) was REAL. With time and superstardom, he became something else–a creation, a “bigger than life” being–that no one who is born human can sustain forever. Eventually, Elvis got old and fat. He was no longer as sexy to the young girls as he once was. He was so incredibly wealthy that, I suspect, most “real” things got boring. His schedule was exhausting for an overweight “real” person in his forties. So perhaps, he turned to drugs for entertainment or, maybe even, energy to sustain his superstar personna. Jackson was getting old too. I’m sure the dance moves were a lot harder at 50 than at 20 or 30. Weight is a little harder to keep off. Being “the King of Pop” was the only life he knew; so he had to sustain it some way. Did he take drugs for that reason? I don’t know. Did he have an eating disorder for that reason? Still don’t know? I only know that I don’t desire fame or anything that goes with it.

Comment by Gini

Sterling :) Yep…the LTD’S are strong on this blog, for sure. lol :) And around to set the record straight, thank heaven!!!! YIKES! lol :) There are the few that come here, to cause mayhem, in concert with the plan to squash freedom of speech, and anyone who might have an apposing view, but it would seen the LTD’s have that well in hand for the present, so it is my considered opinion, as a blogger here and Cookie Czar, of course, that the blog is in good hands, and safe fr all attempts to shut us up, or the site down, hum??? ha!!!! :) YES! :)

Alisyn,
Sorry this isn’t related to today’s news. Several weeks ago, I thought I heard you on the radio and you were talking about your parents and their problems with their car dealership. I’m not sure it was you. Do your parents own a car dealership and if so, what has been the results of the problems they were having with being closed, even though they had a successful business?
Thanks, Sondra

Sondra, that might have been Gretchen….her family owned a dealership in Minnesota for 90 years then got the “Pink Slip” for no discernable reason. Liz, I am so pleased to read your boyfriend has the knowledge to find and act upon the threats you have received. Actually to be honest I’m, thrilled you have the guts to follow through on the cyber bulling. I have held my husbasnd back several times after he has read the comments on this page and one other private website, directed towards me. People need to understand you can NOT slander, threaten, or bully. EVEN if it’s from the safety of your wife’s house, or mom’s basement…….. Thankfully there are appropriate channels one can go throught to bring justice.

It is as simple as… if you write something on the net about a person that is not true, or threaten someone, ORRRRRRR (as in your case, imply you are willing to comply with bodily harm) or accuse you of something that isnt true, YOU BEST be able to prove it…. ORRRRRR …YOu better have a good lawyer handy and a ton of cash..

Believe me we have looked into this matter… and I’ve held him back several times..I hope they have lots of moneyy if it happens again…. We now know the three IP address that have “impersonated me” on several occassions on this blog, and one other…..

Good luck girl… namaste’

Comment by Roy

Hi Everyone,

I have admit that I AM a “tree hugger”; but I am NOT in favor of this cap and trade bill that will come up before the Senate. It is entirely the wrong time to be imposing higher utility bills on the average consumer. Honestly, this administration seems like a runaway train to me! First, came a trillion dollar stimulus bill. Now, we’re talking about a health care plan that will cost trillions over the next ten years. Add to that cap and trade! I hope Americans remember this in 2012 (assuming we don’t collapse before then).

That info is supposed to be kept private, and unless you know someone personally at FOX who could have gotten it for you, the only other way that I know would be illegal hacking into their website. I’m perfectly aware how you got the IP from the other website. I’m no tech expert, but I’m just saying.

No one condones what was said to Liz. It is, however, a sad and real fact that sooner or later is going to happen when on an open blog. And let’s be reasonable, unless you’re stupid enough to give out your private information in a public forum, the chance of anyone finding you is near impossible. Unless it’s your husband, of course.

Yesterday I ask if I needed to go to the Navy/Army store to get combat gear. Should have ask about a lawyer. Sam gets sued if what he said was threats. Both Liz and Sam’s address is public record. Liz said something about kooks or crazies out there in cyberspace. Has Liz made slandering remarks? This is liable to get interesting. A lot of names on public record and a lot of kooks getting those addresses.

Hi James glad you like the jokes!!

Pay no attention to Liz Or Lori for that matter BUT Liz has been on here for only a few weeks but feels like an eternity of stupidity I’m not sure why Lori has decided to lower herself to Liz’s lowlife tactics but for the rest of us we welcome you & ask you not to feed the animals ;)

LONG time blogger on here, looong time before most

Yesterday was my first day and we had a good time and this morning was good. It seems like every comment may need to be ran by a lawyer before posting.

James,

Not hardly. The wrangling or illegal activity one would have to go through to gain your personal information is huge.

The legal system hasn’t yet degraded to “you hurt my feelings”. ;)

I went back to yesterdays “Caching Up” where I first logged on. I just went back yesterday so don’t have an idea of before that. I saw that may have been in bad taste but were statements not threats.

Comment by chas

I’m not a lawyer, but I was a cop and that was my interpretation also.

And I might add, in extremely bad taste. I have been trying to stay out of the Ali blog cop mode, but I had to say something about those remarks.

Chas I was a prison alcohol/drug and behavior modification counselor. Not being a lawyer I would think that a certified copy of any post from Fox would have to be obtained to be admitted as evidence. But what do I know.

Comment by chas

You might want to read the Terms of Use for the blog. Just for your own information.

If memory serves, all post become the property of Fox.

A quick read and I came to the same conclusion.
I will watch Fox News for word of a law suit stemming from Ali’s Blog. Enough for now.

I tried to show you the terms of use, but it was eaten.

Have a good evening.

Liz, if you’re writing a paper, I wish you would quit worrying about taking offense and do some actual research- you need to learn what Keynsian economics actually means, for example- you throw the word around but it is obvious from some of your comments you don’t really know. Also, if you are going to cite Carter as an example of anything you need to understand he was President PRIOR to Reagan and Reagan cleaned up his mess, not vice versa.

The last time we had policies similar to what Obama is doing was Carter’s presidency, when we ended up with sky high unemployment and interest rates and gas lines and lost Iran to the crazies we are dealing with today. The only difference between Obama and Carter is that Obama is worse.

The cap and trade debacle is not about the junk science environmental stuff, but a money grab of new “green” subsidies to pay off the faithful. The only green that will result will end up in the pockets of speculators trading in carbon credits. Follow the money.

Jimmy I read 1984, but not Animal Farm. 1984 is enough to scare you half to death!

Comment by olinl

I agree Retro. Jimmy Carter was misguided and naively stupid.

Obummer, on the other hand is more than Jimmy Carter on steriods. He has a plan for the destruction of capitalism (outgrowth of African Colonialism) that is measured and direct and he is full speed ahead. Get everything in place before the proletariat awakens.

Comment by DogOnCrack

Retro, that’s exactly why 2012 will be just like 1980.

Obama = Carter

Palin = Reagan

I have NEVER slandered or bullied anyone Sterling! I’m very careful about my choice of words…for they can come back to haunt you. All I’ve done is expressed my views and challenged a few people about theirs. I’m doing research, and I got some good info. from some people. Others just like to vent here and be as nasty as they know how to be, which is considered “free speech”. Hopefully they don’t act that way in person! LOL I doubt it. Just be careful about “crossing the line” into threats. Then you might not be able to remain anonymous.

The anger about the current administration is very misdirected in my opinion. You should be mad at the last administration, not this one! I’m trying to understand why you’re not, but I think it’s mostly just extreme bias and misunderstanding. Remember…”moderation” in everything is good! Extremism gets you nowhere fast.

I think the Republican party has gone way too far right to the point that they are as crazy as the far far left. Hopefully most of the bad apples are out now. The other party still has some bad apples as well.

Well, I hope everyone had a nice day! I did! Have fun in the “coffee club” tomorrow. :)

Comment by Liz

Retro…..yes I know Reagan cleaned up Carter’s mess! Carter couldn’t clean up Ford’s mess, which was Nixon’s mess! LOL Anyway, I don’t think Carter was a good president and nobody else does either. I think he was a good person, just not a good president.

Don’t worry….I’ve done my homework. I know all about how Keynesian economics is supposed to work. Now we’ll see if it does. It seems to be working in China. Chinese companies are growing like crazy….green shoots all over the place.

A former criminal law student has been sentenced to life in a California prison for killing one man and wounding two others in a dispute over a Sony PlayStation console.

Jonquel Brooks was sentenced Friday in Fresno County Superior Court. He asked for forgiveness from relatives of the man he shot.

Police said Brooks killed 19-year-old Brant Daniels and wounded his friends in May 2007. They had apparently gone to Brooks’ apartment to look for their stolen PlayStation.

Bernard Madoff would be stripped of all his possessions under a $171 billion forfeiture order handed down only days before prosecutors seek to put the disgraced financier away in prison for the rest of his life.

U.S. District Judge Denny Chin entered the preliminary order Friday, ruling that Madoff must give up his interests in all property, including real estate, investments, cars and boats.

Fox News is my New Channel!!! But I am so disappointed. I understand the need to report very important deaths and the affairs, but where is the important news. We need more of this: Cap and Trade, Afghanistan, Tarp Spending, Pakistan, The North Korean Ship. You may have had short reports on these and other important news. I cant’ watch 24 hours a day. WE NEED MORE COVERAGE OF THE TRULY IMPORTANT NEWS ITEMS. Thanks! Fox is not the best new channel. It is the only news channel.

Liz, since you claim to know how Keynsian economics works, can you explain what happened in Carter’s administration that discredited Keynsian economics? And can you explain why you think it is the model used in China? And can you explain why China is growing more since it abandoned total state control and became, to oversimplify, “less Keynsian”? If it is the better model, why is China growing better with less of it?

Comment by Sam

I am looking forward to the lawsuit. Then the world can meet you face to face, along with Ali.
