A Canadian National freight train derailed, triggering an explosion Friday night that left at least two people critically injured and prompted officials to evacuate the area northwest of Chicago amid concerns more of the train’s cars might catch fire.

Rockford Fire Chief Derek Bergsten said the injured people were in a vehicle that was waiting for the train to pass a crossing. Bergsten said three of them ran from the car when it was bombarded with flying railroad ties from the derailment and were severely burned by flaming ethanol from the explosion about 80 miles northwest of Chicago.

The three were taken to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in serious to critical condition, and one of them was later airlifted to Stroger Hospital in Chicago, Bergsten said.

Having received and duly noted memo fr the Chief of Protocol, Sterling, and being of not very sound mind, one might think, I am sending a memo to all dept’s, chief’s, John {who thinks he is the Czar of Czar’s…NOT} all staffers and staff and friends and fam and those that just came along, to definitely send a memo to Betty, or whoever is in chg of my transportation home, and as I am in mourning at this time, over Fly, most trusted agent, and still looking for A Wall, who is not a wall at all, or kidnapped, but am enjoying the beaches and the cute steward bringing drinks to be tested, as I am absolutely engaging in DD, and having not heard fr Lanna, chief of the Dept of Pandemic Disease {huh?], I am certainly, clearly, not responsible for anything at all, on any day, for any reason, at all ever. I hope this memo is clear and decisive, as I strive for that most certainly, in allllll things in the domain. lol

Further investigation of the cookie dough recall has revealed that the cookie dough was deliberately contaminated by Brownie operatives. Head Brownie, Devil’s Bungle, denies any responsibility, but all our covert operatives point to his covert operatives as being absolutely culpable in the debacle. Devil’s Bungle is scrambling his cabinet and demanding that the Brownie Bus leave town immediately, with his cabinet members and covert operatives either on the bus or under it. (His private directive, obtained in an exclusive coup by our Director of Covert Operations, makes it clear which one he prefers, but more on that later) This stands to be the Devil’s Bungle’s Waterloo. With the Donut Party clearly on the side of the Cookie Party, (despite their feeble support during the Keebler Vote the other night, when their empty centers were filled with Holes provided by the Brownie Party and they proved in moderation, once again, if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything) the Cookie party stands to take sweeping control of the House of Confections, and the Desserts will surely follow suit, in view of the glaring absence of Devil’s Bungle, who normally votes present in such matters, but was trying to skid out of town on the Brownie Bus with his cabinet members and covert operative either on the bus or under it, of which it is too soon to tell as the bus is currently stalled in front of the Sugar House. Cookie Czar Gini stands to win a sweeping referendum tonight.

Having noted and duly sent memo’s to all staff, staffers and dept heads and bureau chiefs, as well as all covert operatives, and their staff and staffers, I must concede that I feel Maddy has hit on a better and more descriptive, as well as informed as well as smart and always nice, definition of Kool Aide Soak, is definitely too aggressive, and after careful consideration {not actually very careful} am changing the name to The Citizen Refeshmt Initiative. A letter will be immediately sent to be put in the file of this constituent {I do keep files, my one thing I do well!!!} as a person of interest who might be paying any attn at all, tho I am not at all concerned, as I still do not have a ride home, and am on the beach in Tahiti! lol

As Cookie Czar I have received all memo’s and comments fr the Czar head (actually most trusted agent John), and dept heads as well as bureau heads, staff, staffers and their staff as well, and those that just came along, as well as other constituents both inside and outside the domain, of course, and being very concerned abt it all, tho not responsible in any way, at all ever, I must say, bitterness is in direct conflict with the mission of the Cookie Czar, and am sending memo’s immediately to mediate the situation. Please be aware of any incoming memo’s and those not directly addressing this prob, are not fr this office. In the mean time am still looking for {tho not very hard, actually} for A Wall, who isn’t a wall at all, but still missing and suspect of having been kidnapped, however, as I haven’t heard fr John, my most trusted agent or Cat, head of the Dept of Covert Ops {prob still cruising} I have no immediate info regarding her where abts. I might think she ran off with her first staffer, a most responsible usually, person, so have set other operatives to research this possibility. In the mean time, the fly was actually a mole sent to invade and report anything that made no sense at all, or maybe did, but is dead now. We mourn the fly… A brave operative…
