F&F’s Football Pick’em

I, once again, went 2-2 last week, but have moved into a solid third place standing (after a mathematical error revealed that Dave went 0-4 last week…nice job chas!) With that said, first place is now in sight…However,  I need more help this week. Let’s try and go 4-0!

Standings and games for this week are below.

WEEK EIGHT GAMES

COLTS AT TITANS
RAMS AT PATRIOTS
BUCS AT COWBOYS
BROWNS AT JAGUARS

Why isn’t anyone reporting the Berg v. Obama case…even if it is to debunk the allegations. We hear/see frivolous lawsuits and celebrity divorces on mainstream media outlets every day, seems like a case that has been opened in the court system since August involving one of our Presidential nominees should at least be aired to stop rumors from being spread. This is a legitimate case and there are three others similar to this one in our court systems right now. If there is nothing to hide, don’t hide it.

Huh? – Pay no attention to Dave.

He went 0/4 last week…Clayton went 3/4, Rick went 2/4, and you went 2/4.

Here’s what I have:

Standings after 7 weeks:

Clayton – 18 – 10

Rick – 15 – 13

Alisyn – 14 – 14

Dave – 12 – 16

Ms. Alisyn,

What a cotton picking minute here. I’m not Joe the Mathmatickler but something is amiss here.

At the end of week 6 you and Dave were 12-12. Week 7 Dave’s picks were Chargers-L, Chiefs-L, Jets-L, Colts-L. Now were I come from, (where we didn’t use new math), lossing 4 games would make him 12 wins to 16 losses. Not 14-14.

Call the 14th Floor, I think this may be sexism in action…lol

I will research my picks so as not to have to change things. No one so far goes with my gut reaction.

Hi Ms. Alisyn,

I guess the moderator god got my standings protest, but no matter. Here are my picks for this week:

Colts @ Titans Someone said last week all streaks continue until they stop. I don’t see the sickly Colts doing the job.

Rams @ Patriots Rams are 1-2 on the road, Pats are 2-1 at home.

Bucs @ Cowboys Romo may be out until mid November. To is off his game without him. Time to start the Cowgirls, they can’t do any worse.

Browns @ Jags Browns are at -14 in Pt for and against. Not that it is going to be easy, but Jags at home and about to turn the old corner.

If you are interested the early Vegas odds on these games are Titans giving 4, Pats giving 7, (for reasons that confound reason), Cowboys giving 2.5 and the Jags giving 7. All these odds are subject to changes prior to game time.

Hey all,

Ignore the standings, they are incorrect. Ms. Alisyn is in 3rd place because Dave lost all 4 of his picks last week.

Ms. Alisyn is 14-14 and Dave is 12-16.

ps, new blog is up if you are interested.

I agree with what chas says only I’m pulling for the Cowboys because,…..well…..er……these are the times when real Cowboys fans cinch up the saddle and prepare for a tough ride. All the fair weather Cowboys fans are now flocking to the Titans.

Aly,
Pick all the home teams, you will go 4-0
Guaranteed!

Thanks Don,

I understand how you feel. I spent many a year suffering with the Packers prior to Favre comming on board. I often have to fight the urge to pick them simply because I am a fan. I now have the same problem with the Jets, because I am also a Favre fan, that he played for the Packers just worked out well for me. ;)

New York Jets wide receiver Laveranues Coles has a concussion and his status for the team’s game against Kansas City was uncertain Thursday.

It’s the third time in less than two years that Coles is dealing with a head injury. He had his streak of playing in 107 straight games end last November because of a concussion, and was briefly knocked unconscious when he was leveled by a hit by Miami’s Zach Thomas in December 2006.

Alison,
I wanted you toknow that eventhough all the cable news networks compete to see who can have the loveliest and most knowledgeable women on tv you are #1.

I use to be a coahc so I know; Colts, Rams, Bucs, and Browns.

For the benefit of my favorite team, here’s what I hope happens:

1.) Colts over the Titans

2.) Rams over the Patriots

3.)Bucs over the Cowboys

4.) Browns over the Jaguars

However, if I was betting on these games (no + – pts.), here’s how I’d pick’em:

1.) Titans over the Colts

2.) Patriots over the Rams

3.) Bucs over the Cowboys

4.) Jaguars over the Browns

Best of luck.

Roger Goddell is leaving open the possibility that suspended cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones could play again in the NFL, but made it clear the oft-troubled player must first work through his off-field issues.

The commissioner said on ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning show that he’s grown weary of the trouble caused by Jones, who checked into an alcohol treatment facility after his latest suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

I don’t know why in the world Eric thinks Tennessee is an Obama state. I have lived in Nashville my whole life, and I assure you THANK GOD, that we are not.
