First of all it’s apelled BIAS. Secondly, the Enquirer broke the story. Edwards had ADMITTED to it so it’s no longer assumed.

And if you can honestly admit that there is no liberal bias in the mainstream media, you seriously need to get yor head examined.

I think there should be some clarification on the Edwards story that the “Andrew Young” being referenced as a member of the Edwards campaign and alledged father of the baby in question is NOT the same Andrew Young who is a famous civil rights activist, former US Congressman, former Mayor of Atlanta, and the first black Ambassador to the U.N.

The later Andrew Young is well known and it should have been made clear by the anchors that he is not the man connected to this John Edwards scandel.

One bright spot in last night’s opening ceremonies, (besides the great visual effects) was that Iraq was able to get it’s house in order so it’s athletes could participate in the games. Wether or not any medals are brought home, this will be a morale boost to the people of Iraq.

Why are we so concerned with John Edwards? He is no longer in office and will never hold public office again. People need to leave the man alone. He made the mistake in 2006 and his wife knows. He did not hire a call girl or come out of the closet. He is a horrible husband for doing what he did to his wife. But we as Americans have worse things to worry about. i.e. Obama, China killing our tourists and other more important things.

Why do these politicians that do have money, power and influence always go for women that are not exactly all that attractive? At least JFK picked Marilyn Monroe as a concubine. If some dumba$$ is going to risk everything over something like that, he should at least make it worthwhile!

Why is it that Edwards, who was only a previous Presidential candidate is now washed up as a politician because of cheating on his wife two years ago….. yet we had a standing president, Clinton, cheat while in , of all places, the Oval office, during working hours no less, and he just went on ….business as usual and no one really did a thing to him but slap him on the wrist and “don’t do it again willy” .
Can someone please, please tell me the difference here? Is there something I’m missing? Or are some guys granted immunity from the whole cheating thing if they are already president?

President Theodore Roosevelt said that a man who is not faithful to his family cannot be faithful to his country. How wise and how very true!! Perhaps Dr. Manny could answer whether or not the stress of dealing with this affair contributed to Mrs. Edwards’ cancer remission ending and her cancer returning.

Edwards should be held up as the hood ornament of the Democrat Party. His “if it feels good do it” mindset was outgrown by the responsible ones of his generation (of which I am one). The double standard of today’s Democrat party needs to be discussed frankly and openly. His ABC interview was done to appease the political not moral concerns of the DNC. Unfortunately this is just another example of society’s embracing of once unacceptable bad behavior.

David Vitter, one of the leading “family values” Republicans visiting prostitutes, Sen. Larry Craig’s behavior before and after his arrest in a gay-sex sting in an airport men’s room for “improper conduct”, Representative Vito J. Fossella, the Staten Island Republican who was arrested on drunken-driving charges in Virginia, acknowledged that he had fathered a daughter, now 3, in an extramarital affair…I could go on and on…. I saw “the other woman” interviewed last night and she commented that John ” was smart and so open”. Urp. I wondered why the interviewer didn’t ask her why, if he was so smart and so open, he got involved with her and covered it up? Duh. I like to watch Fox because it is the only channel I don’t end up yelling my follow up questions at the TV the interviewers on the biased media never ask! They should have me interview these people!

I have a couple of questions about the John Edwards affair. If the affair took place in 2006, why was he with the mistress last month? Did the $100,000.00 paid to her for those extrodinary docudrama’s come out of campaign funds? Last but not least is why has he not taken a paternity test to exonerate himself with regard to the child.

Has the possibility that Casey’s boyfriend killed Caylee and Casey disposed of the body been investigated or considered? It could have been an “accident” as the result of rage?

I never watch CNN, but last night as I was surfing the TV I came upon James Carvelle talking about the John Edwards “misconduct”. What an idiot he is, his comment was ” it’s not like he stole something or murdered someone”. I have to wonder why no one is questioning the fact that John Edwards was with Ms.. Hunter and her baby in Las Vegas recently. If his affair with her ended in 2006, why would he even had any further contact with her, unless, of course, it was to visit his child? I would hope that reporters and others in the news media would dig a little deeper for follow-up questions that help “fill in the blanks” for some of these news stories.

Wonder how that guy with the knife committed suicide…… Remember a few months ago when some guy in some country got on top of a building with a high powered rifle and telescope then committed suicide by falling off the building? Never can really tell what goes on in some countries when they start talking about suicide.

I just saw that clip of Edwards’ interview about his affair. He was all smiles and giggles! He acted like it was some game or cute story. Did he have some plastic surgery-gone-wrong that keeps him from frowning? He is really disconnected from the people, living in his own dream world.

Hey! Why does Fox always have young, inexperienced family counselors on your show to talk about how to handle problem kids? How about old fashioned discipline? Your Grandma said, “That’s enough!” “Don’t do that!”… and you stopped the offending behavior. Right? Well, as a mom of 4, Auntie to 12 (and their 14 children), grandma of 6 (ages 3-21), and Childrens’ Church (65+ kids) teacher for 11 years, I can honestly tell you that kids won’t respect you, if you use the namby-pamby modern methods your experts propose. Read MISS MANNERS’ GUIDE TO REARING PERFECT CHILDREN. There should be such a look or simple “Uht!” that conveys the message to any child. Or misbehaving adult, for that matter. Oh, yes… after 42 years of child behavior modification, I never heard a kid say, “I hate you!” Always… whether it’s a child I’m with at the moment, or a grown-up kid from long ago, it’s “I love ya!” Why not show the other side of child discipline?

the chinese did an excellent job on the opening ceremonies. i don’t recall a dull moment in the whole show. very creative and talented people. after all didn’t they invent fireworks? its too bad that the american was attacked. just goes to show that no matter how much security is in place it is not flawless.i guess we are not safe anywhere we go. as far as john edwards goes i feel he is selfish, can’t be trusted, and has a tendency to not tell the truth. i feel for his wife. in fact he is probably part of the reason her cancer came back. i doubt all the stress and heart-ache did her health any good! hope everyone has a great weekend. thanx steve

If Edward’s affair was over in 2006, why was he in the Beverly Hills Hotel with her just recently? He must of felt some guilt because he hid in a bathroom until a security guard got him out.

Risking a double post but tried a few hours ago and don’t see it…. Had a discussion with hubby and 18 year old son last night about the Edwards affair. I say it makes it worse because she is terminally ill. They say an affair is bad no matter what and her illness should not make it more wrong. I think a terminally ill spouse needs all your support, love and devotion. In my opinion cheating on a spouse whos fighting for their lives makes you an even creepier creep!

Alisyn does make a BIG difference in the weekend show, but I liked her on weekday mornings better. I actually need to work when I am off from work and the weekend show interferes with my schedule.

You are really missed on the weekday show! It is not the same without you and I’m sure the ratings are going to reflect it! If the producers had any smarts they would persuade you ($$$) to take the Fox and Friends 7-9 couch.

It was great seeing you on Fox 5 on Friday, you looked really beautiful, although I think you really shine when you are on the couch instead of behind a desk. It’s not just your fantastic legs it’s how you take control and exude such confidence, humor and seem so at home in that enviornment.

After reading back over the comments I realized I was unduly influenced by hunger and the sight of Chunk E Cat kind of set off my primal need for artery clogging eggs, cheese, bread and butter.

Embarrassing Medical Questions: First time I ever had a digital rectal exam I thought the doctor was going to use some type of digital electronic device to check out my prostate gland. You can imagine my embarrassment when he used his own digit to check the gland and apparently check out the back side of my tonsils while he was at it. At one point I looked over my shoulder and asked the doctor, “Are you sure that is your finger?”

Alisyn – Since you kind of cut your reporting teeth on crime related stories and spent time working on AMW, what is your gut feeling about the Caylee Anthony story? The mother does come across like a cold blooded sociopath, but she also sounds pretty stupid. How could she pull off such an amazing disappearing act for a 3-year-old toddler?

I don’t understand all of the comotion about John Edwards affair, We had Bill Clinton as president for eight years who was a dope smoking, womanizing, draft dodging person and nobody even raised an eyebrow.

I am sure getting a bunch of laughs today reading the blogs and responses. On one of the news reports
it said Young is taking the blame for the baby! must be something to it since Edwards is putting up
the Mistress and Young in some expensive diggs!! I always thought the Enquirer told lies but they sure got this one right. With Elizabeth fighting cancer.John must be out of his mind fooling around. For some reason I cannot see the love there.

I was really disappointed in the show this morning. While Silky is a loser, and the little kid is still missing and the Olympic murder is compelling, the big story of the day is the INVASION of THE PEACEKEEPERS.
Russia has invaded another country much like Germany invaded the Sudatenland to ‘protect ethnic Germans’. I thought Fox was supposed to be more substantive. This was like ‘Entertainment Tonight’.

Alisyn-Fox and Friends weekend does not make your absence from Monday through Friday any easier. You see, those of us that are fans of yours were not really happy with the move. I realize you are now the anchor but the chemistry of you with Steve, Brian and Gretchen was something special. I’ll date myself now but it would have been like John Lennon leaving the Beatles during their heyday and the other 3 going on with him. It’s just not the same. Know what I mean?

IT was interesting to note that Mr. Edward’s said he would be willing to be tested in this paternity case, but was quick to add that he was only one side of the necessary “two” sides needed in this testing. Could it be that he was that convinced that his mistress would not agree on her side? Surely his poor wife is not stupid!

Just watched a segment on another channel about the “Edward’s affair”. A female “expert” disected why woman stay with their man after an affair. I was very dissapointed when she said that women can grab the power and continue in the relationship. Not once did she say that the women should take some responsibility for his actions. I don’t condon cheating, but men who are happy in their relationships don’t stray.

I have a Bichon Frise and the are the most adorable dogs, so smart, fun dogs. They do this funny little thing when they are running around. They do this thing that they call the ‘Bichon Buzz’. They run around and make this crazy sound and jump up on everything and make everyone laugh. They more they see you react, the more they do it.

Hello, I have to say, after thinking about it for the past day… I am quite disappointed in your comment yesterday, alluding to Edward’s not being responsible for his affair by saying that he was “seduced” by his mistress. How could you know? Very frustrating that YOU would blame a woman for something that was CLEARLY instigated by a man! Edwards used his power (just as Clinton did), oblivious to his own egocentric weaknesses to prove his manhood with a woman who was an easy target. Your slip should be recognized as inappropriate, and if a mutual responsibility can’t be assigned to this tragic event, the majority of the accountability really needs to be on the shoulders of John Edwards.

I have never been a fan of John Edwards and as much as I think that this should be exposed, all this is not really hurting the one it is aimed at. Stress causes cancer cells to escalate, if they are dormant, stress can cause them to start up again and if they are active it can cause them to grow faster. I know this because my mother died of cancer of the lungs. I was her care taker and saw to her needs until she died in my arms. this being said, I also know how stressing this is on her children. Whether we believe it or not, it is also probably tearing John Edwards apart. Once again I am so angry at the news and this time its fox as much as all else. Once in a while the press should used discression, you, (the press) are not hurting Edwards as much as you are his wife and children. Put yourself in thier place, a wife that thought this heart breaking affair was over and burried, now only to see it daily on the news and the world aware of her shame with him. STRESSS!!!. Then the children, what must they be feeling, “mom is dying!!! and now dad has already picked out a new mom for us and our real mom is still alive!!!” This story must be told, but the timing is entirely wrong, gathering notes for when his wife dies and his family has had a few months to absorb this, then a story complete with gathered bits and pictures would be more for the press. however it takes at least a full year to start to recover from the death of a mother, wife, daughter, husband , son, father, brother or sister. the press has made the point, let it drop, or at least use some empathy for his family.

If I had money to bet, I would bet there will be a paternity test AFTER the November elections. Edwards had to have a deal in place when he “offered” to take the test. Also, she is not stupid, she would not be getting the “money” had she gone forward NOW.

Is it possible that she is a woman of her word, and that she took the vow “for better or for worse, in good times and in bad times, until death do us part” seriously?

The vow was not “for better or for worse, good times and in bad times, until death do us part, BUT, if he has an affair, well, then, all bets are off, I’m outta there.”

Don’t misunderstand – I HARDLY support Edwards. He is indeed a scoundrel who did a very bad thing. But, that’s not the point. They agreed to stay married FOREVER, NO MATTER WHAT. If they didn’t really mean it when they both said it, then they are both liars.
