My name is Scott Kraner. I live in Geneva, Al… Geneva, Al. is about 70 due north of Panama City, Fl… I grew up in Ohio, joined the Army(Desert Storm) and when I got out I moved to Nashville, Tn… I am here now because of some great job transfers(serious). I believe that more people are connected than you might believe, but every person in the world being only 6 degrees off is a big stretch. I am sure that the information comes from a reliable source like Microsoft, but I still can’t buy it. Probably what will happen is Microsoft will come out with software that one can buy to find your 6 degrees of seperation from others. So this might just be a little marketing. So lets take for example before this blog I would have been way more than 6 degrees from you Alisyn. I love your enthusiasm though and thanks for letting me wake up to Fox and Friends.

This is actually a bit scary when you think about it.

There seems to be some disagreement about the injuries suffered by the 12 yr old girl that fell down the chimney. The AP story says she was basically unscathed. The NY Times is reporting a family friend says she is recovering from a dislocated hip and possible fractures. Other sources report that she has broken legs and a dislocated hip.
Regardless of the conflicting reports it is amazing that she survived and without life threatening injuries.
One could say she landed flat on her ash.

Clayton was correct about the ability of starfish to rejenerate a lost arm. A complete new starfish can be jenerated from a single arm that has a portion of the central disk attached. It is possible that Clayton actually “created” a new starfish depending on where the starfish’s arm broke off.

My wife and I were at a membership campground, in the Orlando area, in the swimming pool. As everyone does, we were all asking questions of each other. What kind of do unit you have, how long have you been members, where are you from, etc. The one lady was from south Florida and said, ‘My best friend is Britney Spears aunt”. Then added “That may not be something to be proud of, but her aunt is a very sweet lady”.

Regarding the spot on protecting our sea turtles. Just spent a week in New Smyrna (no shark bite, either), and had the opportunity during my morning walk to see a mother sea turtle make her way back to the ocean after laying her eggs.
Along with a small group of people we watched as she struggled after a long night to get back to the water. I think we all wanted to help her, but knew it was not right.
What a sight, she would take two steps, and then stop, rest and move on. Finally making the water.
Every night during this period, 4 or 5 turtles make their way to shore and lay their eggs, while volunteers mark them.

Actually, now that I am more awake than comatose, I have thought about something about this “6 Degrees” thing.

My paternal grandfather was a “G” man back when he was a younger man.

His claim to fame (two, actually) was that, one, he grew up with “Col. Harlan Sanders.” Yep, Kentucky fried Chicken Col. Harlan Sanders.

And, two, as a G-Man, it was his honor (honor?) to escort Al Capone to jail (on a train somewhere) after Capone was convicted of tax fraud.

Or at least these were some of (among many) stories he told me. Yeah, he was pretty cool old man.

Wanted to comment on the segment on sea turtles. Having spent a week in New Smyrna Beach Fl. (no shark attack), I was able to see how the volunteers work every morning marking the new nests and tracking their progress.
During a morning walk, I also had the honor to see a mother turtle work her way back to the sea after working all night building a nest and laying her eggs.
As we watched her struggle to get back to the ocean, we all wanted to help her, but knew it wasn’t right. What that young man is doing is well worth it, as well as the other volunteers that are working to preserve the sea turtles from man.

I respectfully disagree with Father Jon about the Moses ad being over the top.

I will assume Father, that you have not heard the “We are the one, we have been waiting for” remark. I know you have a tough commute, Rome to NYC and back again.

I only heard it as a segue to another ad, therefore, I missed the context in which it was made. However, that is a frightening remark.

To be candid, when one stops to connect the dots:
- the Iranian President trying to usher in the 12th Imam;
- the messiah effect Barrack has had over the Europeans and some people in this country;
- the Biblical thread to 2012, the Mayan calender, Edgar Cayce’s (SP?) prognostications;
- and last but not least the gut feeling among ordinary people;

one has to believe something is about to unfold AND Barrack seems to believe it and is encouraging it.

The only problem is I do not believe the majority want the kind of religion or government Barrack is offering. That is what is frightening.

He is not Moses; nor is he a Thomas Jefferson or a George Mason. I do believe he is a “One worlder” and I for one am not ready for the United States of America become the solution to world poverty (Barrack’s only legislative initiative).

Whatever happens, I console myself with belief in our Heavenly Father. I trust that He has the plan.

Your partner this morning touched a nerve when he said something like, “Moms are just better with kids.” To me, that is the same as saying, “Men should be the ones to go to work, and moms should stay home.” This reminds me of the common thought that when Mom is home with the kids, and Dad is out, it is just that; however, when Dad is home with the kids, and Mom is out, Dad is “babysitting!” Excuse me, but I am not my kids’ babysitter. I am their father, their Daddy, and I take just as much responsibility in raising them as does their mommy.

It’s not quite that easy otherwise everyone would be making a lot of money. To make money with your bog you’re going to have to do a lot of networking, which is something I’m still learning.
But one place that you can start making a little money with right away is ehow.
They do all the promotion so you’re article is much more likely to be seen, but they are a little limited in what you can post because all articles have to be how-to’s.
The best way to get noticed there is to post quality articles and make lot’s of friends while rating and posting comments on different articles.

I have a question about the audio of the therapist for the dead suspect in the anthrax case.
Was this woman his therapist in 2001 at the time of the anthrax letters? If not, then how can she speak to this issue? If she was during that time or since when she says he was trying to poison others than why did she not report him to the police?
Does she not have an obligation as a therapist to report him if she believes he is a threat to others?

There seems to be some need for follow up reporting on this topic.

Those of you at Fox News know us best for our coverage of missing person cases, crime, politics and the coverage of the Natalee Holloway case. We have always enjoyed you in the morning. I too am one of those bloggers who never gets any sleep.

Keep in mind that most people who blog … do not do it to pay their rent. It is not their full time job, it is their passion. We do it to provide a voice to people who generally have none as we write and have satellite radio and podcasts of crime and missing persons. That is our passion to make a difference.

Your guest that you had on regarding making $’s with blogs was way too vague and simplistic. It is no where as easy as the 4 steps she claimed. The approach that “if you write it they shall come’ is a false premise. A better one is, if a tree falls in the woods and there is no one there, does it make a sound?

To simply write stories on a blog, then put ads on the space to make money is simplistic at best. #1, who is going to read your blog if the search engines have no idea its there or has so little google strength that it shows up on page 12 of a search? #2, who is actually going to click on a google ad who actually comes to your site? (the average click rate is about 1% at best.) 3, page view ads are based upon the power of your blog and site meter hits. Most ad companies do not want to deal with small blogs and if they do the price they pay is minimal.

The point I am making is that if it were as easy as she stated everyone would be doing it and making $’s. That is not the case. Just because one buys a hammer, a saw and a nail apron … that does not make them a carpenter.

Hey Ali, First I can’t believe some of the things people say to you on here! I don’t know if this counts on your six degrees. I have a 19 year old son whom is in Holland on a visit to his Father’s we stay in touch everyday. If it wasn’t for the internet I wouldn’t be able to talk to him or see him for a month. I don’t mess with the computer very much but it has been very important to us. I am very close to my son and being able to see him and talk to him when he is so far away has been a blessing.

With all that candy on fire it looks like they burned a lot of calories.

If only the truck had been also carrying graham crackers and marshmellows, then all the people stuck in traffic could have enjoyed some smores while waiting for the wreck to be cleared.

First let me say I watch Fox news all the time best news on air, the reason I am writting this is sorta strange but I guess can;t hurt for doing it, I am a singledad of a beautiful 15 year old daughter, I have had and rasied her on my own since she was 3 months old, her mother and I have been divorced since she was 3 months old. She had never met or seen her mother since then, then last year at Thanksgiving she was wanting to met her mother, Her mother has know where we lived the whole time we have been divorced, but not 1 word or phone call or letter, Her mother had a very bad drinking problem and cared more about her parting than she did her family, When we divorced her own family told me to take the baby and leave her. So! during the years my daughter asked ?’s about her mother and we talked , then she wouldn;t talk about her for awhile, then like I said last year at Thanksgiving she statred asking again, I gave in and got intouch with her family and they said she had just out of jail and was in court order drug and achol programs and she was doing great. So I was talked into going and letting them meet. I must say I was very nervious,Everything went well.
We started going up to were she lived on weekends and visting,And I must say I really thought she had finally changed,My daughter and her mother got along great.Then my ex got to calling my daughter asking to ask me to send her money she needed thngs and didn’t have the money, she wanted us to get back toghter, I helped her get a car, did alot , to much to write for it would take so long,One weekend we went up to visit and mother was just crazy stared cussing me andhitting me in the back, in front of my daughter, so we left I told my daughter that was her real mother there, she has not called since andproved to my daughter that she is bad to drinking and using drugs, and all she wanted was money from us,

We are relieved the little girl is found, and the father has been detained. It is very sad when parents can’t get their life in order and keep their children safe.

The jr senator from Illinois protestith tooooooooo much, me thinks. Again, he cannot have it both ways. He wishes to claim his black heritage and ignore his white heritage, and is insulted when confronted with it all. I have wondered why the “uniter” didn’t embrace the whole of, but he did not.
No bounce from the jr senator from Illinois’s trip? And is anyone surprised about that? The “chosen one” considers that he is already in the White House, and the rest is just an excersise. I hope the electorate are paying attention to this man who would be president. It is ashame the democrat party selected this man, out of a field of very honorable men of good character, to be their candidate. But no real surprise. They also have chosen Harry Ried and Nancy Pelosi to lead their party…the jr senator from Illinois does fit their template, as we know these two are at the least, scoundrels and at the worst, traitors.

Obama’s new stance on offshore drilling reminds me of his stance on FISA. He was against the new FISA bill and would filabuster to stop it. Then ended up voting in favor of the FISA bill.

Maybe Obama is taking advice from Kerry on these things on how to be against something before he votes for it.

Thank goodness we have Obama as a new type of politician that doesn’t just say what is politically advantageous to get elected.

The gentleman you had on about offshore drilling said nobody believes we can reap the benefits in a couple of years and that it will take about 10 years. However, that’s not true. Last week you said that we could have cheaper gas in 2 years and last Friday Steve Doocy said it would take one year. Why didn’t you challenge him?

6 Degrees of Separation…

My television>my computer>the Internet>Alisyn’s blog>she said my name over the air. That would make 4 degrees. She may not ever remember my name unless I continue to post here. But, I did make contact with her. I just wish I could make it a reality to meet many of the people from Fox News face-to-face. Who knows, anything is possible when you have 6 Degrees of Separation.

I was wondering why no one ever questioned the Dem guests when they claim that approving drilling wont help prices now. They claim that the evil speculators are to blame. If that is true, would it not stand to reason speculators would be less inclined to buy up the oil stocks anticipating an increase in supply? Increased supply = decreased prices. Would that not immediately have a positive impact on prices?

When I was in high school, I had many friends who were waitresses/servers/etc. It was a tougher job than most people think, with all the crap they had to deal with. Nasty customers whining about everything, from “slow” service (with which they had nothing to do), bad food, getting grabbed, yada yada.

I’ll bet you were a good server, considering how bright and outgoing you are. I’ll also bet you were glad to get out of the business.

Good morning Will Penny. I would agree with you absolutely. It is good to see your very informed comments again. I missed you.
I think that Father Jon was trying to be “fair and balanced”, but he must have missed much of the jr senator from Illinois, and his campaign rhetoric. He has most definitely likened himself to “the chosen one”, and most definitely does embrace a world view of the United States of America. He definitely has made it very clear that we are the evil entity in this world, and must be abolished NOW, and without any further delay. His friends, his church, and his writings, do support this view of this man who would be president.
That said, our choice this election cycle is abysmal. We have unacceptable or barely acceptable to chose from. We better all be paying attention to our state representative, who will sit in the Congress and Senate and do the business of governing this country.

I’m afraid that the 6.6 degrees of separation is not entirely accurate. In May of this year there was a report of an uncontacted tribe in the Amazon (http://windowsxp-privacy.net/?id=198760083). The story also reveals that there are approximately 68 uncontacted tribes in Brazil. There are probably others in various remote regions around the globe. By definition, since these tribes are uncontacted, there is no possibility of a connection between Alisyn and one of these tribe members.

Walking around the Waldorf during a fire drill (I went to Cathedral HS which at that time was right across from the hotel) I saw the Kim sisters coming out of the Waldorf waiting for a cab – they had appeared on Ed Sullivan’s show the night before -yeah – I am ‘that’ old. Also during those HS years, we saw Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip in a motorcade pass by. I also saw Danny Kaye on a NY street signing autographs. When one of my sons was in college, he wound up in an elevator with Mike Tyson (who was visiting some girl at the time).

In 1986 I was staying in a Hotel in McAllen Texas. I went down to breakfast with my then 4 month old baby and husband and met George and Barbara Bush who were also having breakfast. I went to different places on your Fox and Friends site and put a search to find it and couldn’t find it. Could you help me and send me the link of her blog website?? Thanks so much. I posted yesterday but it hasnt shown up. Please let me know where you’ve been. Are you no longer going to be on the Fox and Friends in the morning show? That would be very disappointing. I think the four of you work so well together.

Let us know if Greg Gutfeld is going to co-host F&F again this weekend so we don’t stay up too late and get Red Eyes.

I have not seen you on the weekly morning Fox and Friends show. Did you leave? Are you coming back? I miss seeing you in the morning.

Morning, I don’t know about the rest of you, but I miss the blog!!!! I always checked it in the morning, then again in the afternoon…. Weekday show just is not the same!!!!! We miss Alisyn…..

I sure miss seeing you in the mornings but I’m sure the schedule affords you more time with your children.

I have emailed Foxnews and Fox and Friends so many times and no one answers why the videos do not work on the iphone anymore on Foxnews.com.I used to watch the atss everynight and it does not work anymore on any iphone. Why??? No one from Foxnews will answer that question

As to any degree of seperation, whether it be long marriage or long friendship, I can atest to seperate lives go as life dictates. I myself have been married to my second wife for 25 years. We are in our 50’s. We both agree that we both have different aspects of life and we sit and talk about it. She is an RN, I was in the military and after that I worked on the Pipeline to the US. Our only one topic in common is love of nature and the night sky. Our lives have been inriched by my interest in her medical field, and her interest in my hobbies. We have both found that talking to each other about the days work, helps unwind and helps us both to see each as an indiviual but linked by the love we share. So , I say… degree’s of seperation is what you or couples chose to make. Two lonely souls in one house makes for no life.
