Cat Crazy
What do you make of the story of the guy who was watching his friend’s cat and ended up getting tossed in the psych ward? When the cat got trapped in a wall, Chris Muth tried everything to get the cat back. He ended up being labeled crazy and being hauled off to a psych ward for SIX DAYS. I’ll share more soon. Thoughts?

Hi
My friends and I just love your hair! Can you share sometime how you style it?
I think there is probably more to the cat story than we know. Why did the guy take the cat to work with him on a construction site?
Saw an interesting article about Alisyn and her lovely family.

Good to see you guys talking about the polls. How do the polls come up with the sampling group and does that group change from poll to poll, or is it the same 700-2,000 people in each poll?
Casey Anthony’s photo bucket makes it look like she was a perpetual party girl. Is it known whether she ever worked for any escort services, or strip clubs? “Not that there is anything wrong with that,” but it could possibly put her in the company of some nefarious nuts.
Wow Alisyn, what a cute dress. You look fabulous! My wife just walked in and said the same thing. (Wow, look at Ali!) Hope you have a happy day. You started ours with a smile.
Good Morning Alisyn,
he should of called 911,
and said the cat is trapped in tha wall, what do I do,
and on the missing girl caylee this is a crazy story,
you think she was sold or something like that?
Sal
Good morning Alysin,
Only have a few minutes before I have to get ready for work. The cat story was a little scary I think. I didn’t know one could be taken away like that by the police.
We hope our government is on their toes during this particular moment. That said, the terrorists always have us in their cross hairs, so we must be diligent.
It is such a pleasure to see you Alysin. We miss you in the morning so much.
Did the cat make it.? Missed the original news and can’t find out what happened with the cat.
Was the man cat-a-tonic? Or, was he psy-cat-ic? I don’t know, it doesn’t seem like a cat-astrophy to me. Maybe we all need to take a cat-nap over this and dog it another time.
By the way, Alisyn, nice dress this morning. Yum!
Alisyn…I know it’s bad ettiquette to refer to a woman’s age, but I just want you to know that I’m about 10 years younger than you are…and you look really good today. Really, really good.
Good morning Alisyn, I have to applaud Chris, how many other people would go to the extent that he did even before the police arrived? At the same time, he must have been acting weird for them to haul him off to the ward. Didn’t his family try to get him out of the ward? Some of this story seems to be missing. Then you show the guy that dressed up like the “Joker” did they haul him off to the ward? They should have. Have a great day!!!!!
Good morning Ms. Alisyn,
Share more later? S’matter, cat got your tounge?
But then again I think anyone that hsa a cat belongs in a psych ward.
Kind of busy today, so have a very nice day Ms. Alisyn.

Just heard the comments on your show about the note left by Barack at the wall was leaked by someone. Thought you might want to know that it is being reported all over that the note was given to the media before he even went to the wall.
Have Obama watch that cat
Alisyn,
GREAT to see you back! I had never visited the blog before, so I didn’t know if you were on vacation or went the way of so many other good ones on Fox. Many of which I fail to understand Fox letting them get away. Others I don’t understand why they are still there. Actually when E.D. slid down in the lineup, I’d hoped they would put you in her spot. At least you are still here, so there’s always hope. I did hate to see her leave F&F but I understand, since she has 2 dozen kids to get ready for school every morning.
Would it be inhumane to trap the poll cats in walls for 98 days? What do they accomplish? It is nice to know what people are thinking but a personal choice should be made not depending on the most recent poll.
Can we chat with you on my radio show about this topic?
I host a morning show on KYCH Portland Oregon and watch FAF while getting ready for work at 3a.
the cat story and the text messaging story was great! can you jump on air with me for a few minutes to discuss it?

Thanks.great show
Morning fellow bloggers. Why am I not surprised that obama would leak to the press the prayer he intended to leave at the wall? Couldn’t possibly have a private prayer, had to make it a media event.
Mealnie study the sun and see what makes it shine. That’s are Alisunshine and all she’s gotta do is act naturally.
The more I learn about these polls the more I think they just give the media something to talk about. How do the Nielsen ratings work? Couldn’t they just put a box in most homes and ask people how they plan to vote today, tomorrow, in November….
Did the cat man mark his territory in the greenroom? That could be a tell tale sign…….
Alisyn – Once you get used to your new routine, will you be hosting other Fox programs on the weekend? Like that one you did a while back on Saturday afternoon.
Good morning to Alysin and all,
I feel really badly for the poor man trying to tell people about the cat if this is true.
I have felt all along that Caylee was probably sold to someone desperate to have a child. If that is true, she may be in a much better family right now. Let’s hope that is what happened to her.
There are many reason why police can take you right to a psych ward but they are usually when you can harm yourself or others.
Guess I better earn my paycheck now.
I too think there must be more to the story , just all seems a bit odd……anyhow have a wonderful day Alisyn!! Mike
This is more common than people realize. Not the cat in the wall part, the being put in the bin part.
On the word of other people, whom can usually remain anonymous, you can be put on a “72 hr hold”; weekends and holidays don’t count. They can drug you so you don’t cause any trouble,” it’s for you’re own safety and the safety of others”.
I was putting cats in walls though…
Good Mornig Alisyn,
Welcome back! I was away last weekend so missed you on the weekend show. I used to watch the weekend show all the time, but have not for a while. Now that you are on, I will have to “change my ways” and start watching again. BTW that purple is so becoming to you; or should I say you are so becoming to the purple. Either way, very nice!
“The road to H. (you know, the hot spot) is paved with good intentions”
Good morin’ Ali,
And good morin’ to all us Ali fanatics!!
I said it last time, and will say it again today Ali…you have got us all in a “purple haze” this morning. You look stunning, the dress is great and whoever did the hair and makeup….lets just say WOW!!!
loved seeing you this weekend…didn’t get an answer to my question but “case-a-syrup, case-a-syrup”
Gald you are filling in this week…Hey taking the Family “Down the shore” this weekend to Seaside Heights…load up the Man and kids and come on down. The guys can handle the weekend show!
Hope all of us Ali fanatics have a great day….
love ya Ali and all the fox team
just me ricky D
Love the show so much when Aly is on.
Please stop talking to and about “Governor” Ventura!
Good morning
I can’t understand why the police didn’t at least listen to him and checked out immediately what he was telling them about the cat. Who called the police? Appalled that the poor cat had to stay in the wall that long!! Got to be more to the story !!!
I enjoy the way you,Steve and Brian come across as a team! The three of you complement each other. (Natural flow of news)
About Casey Anothony: Where was she living for a month? Were there neighbors near by? Where is the boyfriend? Why did she leave moms home? I can not understand the coolness of Casey,
I would be a complete wreck if my pets went missing, not to mention the condition I would be in if this was my child or grandchild !!!!
Good morning beautiful sunshine of the morning news shows. I didn’t catch the story but being a cat-lover myself I can understand how the guy must have felt to have his friends cat get stuck inside of a wall. His friend put an enormous amount of trust on Chris’ shoulders. Chris knew this and knew how much his friend loved that cat and that if anything happened to the kitty his friend would have being emotionally torn asunder. Was it stated how old the cat was? That plays an important part in the story. I myself have 2 that i love dearly an since i do not have children I consider them as such, so if anything was to happen to them i would go off the deep-end. Even more so if i placed them into the trust of a friend and he let me down. In regards to taking the cat to work, it sounds as if the cat may have been sick, or a emo kitty which requires more attention than normal. Case in point is one of mine. I went on vacation for a month and left my babies in the care of my mother, when i came back i learned that one of them missed me so much that he had stopped eating which caused his liver to start to go into failure. I’m currently fighting a tough battle to get him healthy again.
But anyway have a wonderful day, and hehehe remember YOU are the reason that they put Fox in the title Fox and Friends… I may sound like a pig when i say this but, it can’t be helped. You have the most beautiful pair of legs in newscast history, and make me feel like a teenage again everytime i see you. Take care and have a blessed day…hehehe oh and say hi to Steve and Brian for me.
In reference to Linda’s comment about Barack okay’d the release of his note to the press, here is the Official comment by Maariv, the Israeli newspaper that first re-printed the note:
Maariv’s response: “Obama’s note was published in Maariv and other international publications following his authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem. Moreover, since he is not Jewish, there is no violation of privacy as there would be for a Jewish person who places a note in the wall.”
Alisyn,
The cat deal is crazy, I think the man had problems so nobody wuld believe him. Must have been a tough cat, 6 day’s with know food.
That sicko in Florida sold her daughter, jmo
Now the good news, Alisyn you’re a breathe of sunshine on a cloudy day and on a sunny day you’re a one hot mommy, have a great day and keep making me weak in the knees
Ray
Great morning Alisyn, Your”re looking great today, glad to see you
full time this morning. Thanks for keeping a warm feeling going on the
show with the guys.
By the way, by far you have the greatest legs of all the female talking heads.
Back to watching, have a great day.
Jim
Allystone,
My name is Dave Masters. I’m just outside of Wash D.C. I’m writing about the story you did about the SIX Legged Dear. You said the lady in Athens Georga was given a permit to keep wild animals.
I know someone who has raised a baby Racoon and is sure it would die in the wild. In Virginia wild Animals are put to sleep if you turn them into to the officials. Is there some way you can give me any advise on these permits or some information about the lady in Athens?
Thanks,
Dave Masters

Ali,
I LOVE THAT PURPLE DRESS!!! Smokin. Glad to see you back.
Jim.
AARGH!!! About this oil stuff; as Elvis Presley would say…”Too much talk and not enough action!”
Hi Ali,
So glad you are back. Just an aside, tell Doocy he is a REAL star now, his house is visible on google earth!
Let’s not fool ourselves.
This is clearly the work of Levy.
On the cat story…great to see people willing to put value on life, whether it’s a cat or otherwise! And who hasn’t been labeled as “crazy” at least once in life?!?
Regarding Caylee Anthony…this is a very disturbing story and is the epitome of what makes me “an angry redneck”. Who is to care for our kids if we, as parents and grandparents, don’t? The whole family is obstructing little Caylee’s justice and need to be locked up. Between the mother and grandmother, she doesn’t have a chance to be found, alive or otherwise. Children don’t have a true voice in justice and are unable to defend or speak for themselves. Casey, as well as her mother, Cindy, need to be waterboarded until they can figure out how to tell the truth. We are way to easy on suspects and convicts in child related violent crimes!
-The Angry Redneck
The catman story is disturbing as it was reported on the show. If all was simply as the man claimed I would hope that a lawyer or the ACLU jumps on the case right away and not only clears his name and fix it so this won’t happen to another person.
Ok now that I have gotten the serious part out of the way, the joke…..
The reason they locked up the guy as crazy didn’t have anything to do with the cat, but when the police showed up his tv was tuned to Morning Joe on MSNBC instead of F&F when Alisyn was on. Clearly the sign of a deranged individual.

The official fan of Alisyn Camerota
(and more than qualified to be locked up as crazy about Aly)
Btw, I think Fox finally untied Page Hopkins and let her out of the basement. I saw her several times yesterday doing the headlines!
In reference to the man who was committed for 6 days without the situation being looked into, it can definitely happen, it happened to me. Back in 1990 4 months after the birth of my 3rd child, I had what ended up being a severe panic attack, brought on by hormonal imbalance and low blood sugar. My husband was in the military and we went to the base ER. They said there was something ‘neurological’ going on and sent us to a ’special neurological clinic’. When we got there it ended up being a psychiatric facility. My poor husband was forced to admit me, because otherwise it is disobeying a superior’s command and he could have a lot of trouble. I was there for 5 days. They never even did anything to find out what was really going on besides taking blood, the dr. I saw once the entire time I was there told me to stop not eating he could tell by my blood (I just ate bacon and eggs – low blood sugar, duh) and the nurses would come in a couple times a day and ask if I wanted to go to group therapy. Fortunately, they never tried to medicate me, probably because I just kept my mouth shut while my husband worked to get me out of there. It was very scary to be around many people with very serious issues, especially at night, the sounds were pitiful and sad. I can very much empathize with Mr. Muth and on a side note, I am an animal lover, too, and it’s interesting how sometimes people who care about animals get looked at as a little strange (although there is definitely people who fit the bill). To sum up, I think there are lots of people with mental illness who need help and may not know it, who may need an ‘evaluation’ but there should be controls and criteria in place to weed those who don’t out before they get ’stuck’ in the system.
We are so glad you are back on weekdays. My wife and I really wish you could stay. The show is so good with your wit and humor.
In reading the story above, and seeing the comments by Kris, it gives a whole new meaning to the word “authority”.
I think as soon as the cat guy told the cops he had been watching his friends pu$$y for several days and it was now hiding in a wall it sent up a couple of red flags.
We can relate … to the cat in the wall, not being put in a looney bin.
After taking out an old woodstove, the inside of the wall was closed up but not the outside. And just before leaving for a camp-out while looking for my cat it was discovered that she had jumped up to the hole and jumped/fell in. We had to punch three
holes in the ‘finished’ wall. Starting at the upper part and working down the wall as the cat moved down the inside of the wall. We finally got her out…. and patched the outside up as well.
So I really feel for Chris Muth… he’s not crazy in my book, just a KIND hearted person and should be praised for his act of compassion …. where is PETA when you need them?
Hi Gang,
About your conversation on the After the Show Show and stimulus plan for public transportation. I live in a fairly small town in Florida (Stuart), but we do wear shoes). We have no public transportation! I am 63 years old and live 10 miles from work. Do you actually think I can walk or use a bicycle? Come on guys, 99% of the U.S. is NOT like New York City, but guess what – we are all not like Mayberry either. I think you have the same problem that our politician in Washington have – you have no idea what the rest of the country is like.
Someone really blew it here. I have been a clinical social worker for over 22 years. Did anyone investigate to see if a cat was in the wall……I am also a cat owner and know cats do these kinds of things rather regularly. How a person be denied liberty this easily??? I saw the man interviewed on your show and, he is more sane than most folks who I want to get in the hospital but cannot because they are not a “danger” to themselves or others. Who did he endanger????
I love my cat alot. I would hate for someone to see me out and about with him. His name is Roscoe and he is a leash trained cat. It get’s better. I have a stroller for him and he wears cloths. I guess I need to be locked up to. I will send you a pic Alyson.

The cat story is crazy and strange, and its a little fishy if you ask me. I certainly think there is much more to story yet to be unfolded. I wonder if people thought the guy was crazy, and that could be the reason why no one believed him. It doesnt change my view about cats, they are one of my favorite animals to have as a pet, only second to birds.
I wonder if Andy Levy can be of service to his problem
Hey, it could happen!
It’s hardly believeable that an individual can be locked up so easily by the authorities. I too would have done what he did to retrieve the cat.
Evening, The cat story, not sure what to think most houses have four foot studs, the cat would be stuck in that four foot area climbing up and down and easy to find…. I pray they find the little girl in Florida alive, but I’m afraid they won’t….that is one very strange family….
I felt sorry for the guy trying to save the cat. Hope the person he was watching the cat for will help him pay for the damage he caused.
I believe you are on again Friday. Please make the AtSS a fun one. They are starting to be just an extension of the show with guests. It was fun when y’all just sat back and talked.
Some say his girlfriend Maryanne (MA) should be committed too!
i am not surprised that the gentleman was hauled off anyway and was in the hospitalized for six days… my husband and i have both worked in the psychiatric field in the past, he as a nurse, me as a tech… he was not at a construction site, he was doing work at a friends house, the cat got in the wall, he called the friends, to ask them to tell the police that it was ok that he get the cat out, they said yes, he got taken away anyway, which was illegal, and then he was held against his will for six days, and even though he fortunately cheeked his medicine and they found out at the very last minute that he never took his meds, they did force him to take a shot, which right there is assault and battery…. the man has a definite case should he decide to sue… he was held against his will for six days, assaulted by the staff with a shot he did not want, and thank god he was able to get the records from the hospital before they had a chance to be destroyed… because as i have had personal experince, with, psychiatric hospitals are well known to destroy records that could be damaging to them and to the staff….. and the fact that the staff was saying that he was paranoid and delusional and bipolar only proves that they were saying anything to keep him in there as long as they could.. and the fact that the cat really was in the wall makes them look like crap…
