Is this thing on?
Anybody having a problem with wordpress this morning? I’m having a hard time getting into our Greenroom site. Of course, “operator error” is always a possibility.
Oh wait, here it is. OK, problem over. So…here are the topics getting the most buzz in the Greenroom this morning: canidates’ economic plans and celebrity divorces. Both about money, of course. Feel free to share your two cents.

Good morning Ms. Alisyn,
No problem here so far. Now wil it post?
I’m sure not going to let this keep me away from you….llol
chas
I see ya out there in blog land!
So it would seem to work on my end Ms. Alisyn.
Hmmmm, maybe you need a full time blog guy there? I know a guy that will be available in March.
chas
What’s happening in March, pray tell?
I had to refresh my screen in order to log on alisyn. So wordpress is having problems. I managed to stop the flashing screen and refusal to load by hitting refresh twice. Then it seemed to settle down and let me post this comment
If Obama does win this thing, what should we start doing now to survive the next four years? Hoard food and gas?
I’m already hoarding food. In my stomach.
I’ve never had any problems with wordpress.
To be fair, I have a background in IT.
Problem over ms. Alisyn? Both Marshal and I are here. The problems have just begun…lol
chas
Different problem. Same day.
Brooke Bennett Case: The state of Alabama is also going after the step-dad for a child pornography charge. It sounds like he was more involved than just the obstruction of justice charge.
Alysin,
No problem getting into wordpress Alsysin. Guess ya made it tho, cause here you are. Good morning Sir Knight and Marshall. I can’t believe I actually didn’t have any problem, for a change! re: wordpress…as I always have a problem, even when there is no problem….or so it seems.
It is a beautiful day here in the great state of Ohio. We are anxiously awaiting the conventions, when we will be privy to the candidates, and what they think, instead of the streaming of the talking heads, and their view of what they might be thinking? Tiresome news as one after another is paraded out for all to hear and see. I guess by now we know exactly what. Now I would like to see them actually debate these issues, and not make “pretty” speeches about what they might do? Yes, I think we are all waiting for that to happen.
I must obama for work now. Took yesterday off, so must go today. Busy or not, must stop and get my license today, and tags for Pearl, before we get a ticket! Hurricane Bertha is moving forward, but weakening….we certainly hope! Alysin, you look BEAUTIFUL. Grandpa is up…must go fix breakfast for this elegant war hero….have a great day all!!
THanks Gini!
Alisyn – You know you love all us faithful bloggers. We are just little problems in the overall scheme of things. lol
Ms. Alisyn,
In March I will be able to retire from Gov’t Service, (Dept. of Defense), with 30+ years of service.
Then I will need a new job…hint, hint.
chas
Perfect timing. That’s just the time I’ll need a DOD source. And a new intern.
Good morning Alisyn, We couldn’t care less about the playing around and divorces of the rich and famous!!! But do care about who we elect for our next president…. Obama in and we should all move across the border, he is very scary, where did he come from so fast, who is behind this man…. We in our house are McCain all the way……Love the show when the judge is on, he is great…. by the way what do we have to do to win the aflac trivia question?????? Have a great day, a warm one here in Michigan……
Ever notice how sometimes a 3-day weekend can take more out of you than it was worth……..
Marshall, there’s definately such a thing as too much rest.
A Rod hasn’t been what anyone would call a good husband. It seems divorce is his wife’s only solution. But Madonna?????? Without sounding too lewd why would anyone want to go where Dennis Rodman has been before. Enjoy your day.
I saw where Obama is offering over $1,000 to families under $66,000 a year or something like that.
Guess he plans to pay for that by selling Iraq down the tubes and taxing those who do the hiring and investing more.
We’d be better off if he just kept the money.
Actually we’d all be better off if the would scrap that tax code, make a cut-off dollar amount of around $50,000 and tax everything thing over that 10%.
But since politicans help them selves get elected by tinkering with the tax code w/breaks and deals, we aren’t going to see that happen.
chas
Good morning, hope all is well this morning.
Gina, thank you for your daily greeting, very courteous.
The show is going well this morning, I really like the judge, although I am not spelling his name. He brings a lot to the show w/ his legal expertise. He also does a good job interviewing (almost like a direct examination) the various guests.
Economic Plans. When both sides talk about taxation I want to know how each defines middle class, how they define “the rich”, etc…. I want to know where I fit in w/ each of those parties. They rarely state that clearly, which is either lazy or dishonest. It forces me to have to research it myself.
Celebrity Divorces. Could not care less. As I got married, became a father, etc…. I have really started to dislike professional athletes. There is not a one I would tell my son to pattern himself after. I have simply quit following professional sports. College football is my favorite sport. Season ticket holder for the Razorbacks.
A-Rod, I hope he didn’t cheat on his family, for the kids sake. A real man does not do that, but it is very prevalent in professional sports.
I’m heading to work, have a good day.
I mean, Gini.
Humblest apologies.
Good morning Alisyn and everyone else,
As usual with our great politicians they are making promises that can not be kept. I would just for once like to hear a candidate speak honestly about what they can do. We all know that most of the talk is just that, talk. If we could just do away with the partisan politics something may actually get done, but I can not see that ever happening.
Good Morning Alisyn,
I agree with Forbes, Obamas tax plan would destroy the rest of the economy and especially small business, just common sense, the more we pay in taxes the less we have to spend, who suffers we all do, the working people,
if I have to pay higher taxes the less I have to pay my workers,
Good Morning everyone.
Sal
Celebrity divorces….ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Why give these narcissists any press at all….doesn’t impact anyopne’s lives but their own.
Economic issues……..yes.
Good to know. I like our informal focus group here.
Morning Sean
Hey Chas.
Heading out the door.
Rgds,
Sean
Good Morning Alisyn.
Great show today, you gotta love the judge.
Dontcha?
Good point Doug. But as far as the partisan politics go, they have been with us since the start of the Country. In Fact the Constitution was the result 2 sides of partisans, that finally reached a understanding.
Then you had the partisan fight between Jefferson and Hamilton over how big and strong the Federal Government should be.
The difference today is they were statesmen and could reach an accord, not so much today.
chas
Don’t know about the intern thing there Ms. Alisyn. Ms. Audra tells us they don’t get paid. I’d do it if I could afford not to have a job…but.
chas
Good morning Alysin
I try not to listen to the celeb divorces but feel like it is a car accident on the other side of the highway. I just cannot resist….lol. I would not presume to know what goes on in the heads of the woman. But I do know a very famous quote and I believe it is Shakespear.
“H**l has no fury like that of a woman scorned”
Sometimes I feel it is revenge but they must remember “the best revenge is living well”. Children will remember all the awful things said about the other parent. That is the really sad part. It is too late for that with them. These ladys are beautiful on the outside but a nasty part of them comes from within.
morning chas..I slept much better last night
Good morning Alisyn… You Look even more beautiful than usual…You have not dangled this week like last yet ….will u give us one
I am so sick of hearig about Obama!!! I turn the channel everytime I see his face on the TV!! The only thing bigger than that guys ears is his ego! I don’t think his head would fit in the door of the White House! If he loses, I will laugh the loudest I have ever laughed and if he wins, I will think seriously about leaving the Country! He makes me sick!! Can you tell?
Chas,
You are correct, it has always been with us but now as you say they can not agree with anything that is not for their party. There is no way I can ever be convinced that because a person is either a Dem or Rep. that their personal thoughts are always going to agree with the party.
I have a tendency to lean republican but there is no way I could ever say I agree with everthing President Bush has done or disagree with everything President Clinton did. We need checks and balances but with comon sense.
Morning Eileen.
Good Morning Everyone. I have been on a lengthy road trip and have been away from my computer…well this one, not my work computer.
It seems to me that fuel is the major driving forces in the economy. Once we break that habit, get it cheaper, or drill for it in our own country, it will settle things down.
What about all the pork in bills that are passed by the government. I could think of better ways the money is spent.
According to the Congressional Pig Book in FY 2008 there were 12 bills with 11,600 projects worth $17.2 BILLION. Just one example was to some writing group to enhance teachers writing…$100,000! Are you kidding? They are TEACHERS.
Check out http://www.cagw.org
It makes for interesting reading.
As for celebrity divorces. Who cares, I’m too busy making my third marriage work and keeping my ex’s off my back! With all that action, I could be a celebrity.:)
Jim
I would like to apply for pool boy. Of course my six pack abs have now become a full blown keg, but what the hey!
It is official – I may be the first 57 year old woman with EDD – that is, Election Dysfunction Disorder. My brain is overloaded with the debates, the pundits and the whodunits. Am I the only one with 2008 burnout? And we have a long way to go. Lord, help me.
Good Morning Alisyn,
Chas,Marshall,Gini.
Sal
IMHO Doug, what we actually need are statesmen instead of politicans.
I believe it was John Adams that pointed out that Party would be the downfall of this Country.
chas
Morning Sal.
Morning Jim. Do all your ex’s live in Texas and that’s why you live in TN?…lol
Mornin’ Sal, Gini, Chas…….. Crispy……… Marsha…….
What day is it? I’m sooooooooooo confused……..
Ms. Alice,
You are not alone. I too tire of it as it has gone on way too long. Which is strabge because I have always lived for this stuff.
chas
You know your history Chas, and Mr. Adams was exactly correct!
Sean———–
from what I can see Brett Favre has been successful at football and his marriage. He might be a good role model. Of course, you know know what really goes on side a marriage but at least the rumor mill has not cranked out stuff abou them.
you gotta love the great city of Gloucester mass….for the first time in my life I am sad to call it my home town…what were these girls thinking!!!!…Geez
Maybe we should just let Randy, Paula and Simon pick someone and get it over with!
LOLOL Good one Chas…I wish!
Good morning Alisyn. I really enjoy Fox & Friends First. I usually get turned off at 8:00 AM, and so does my TV.
If that don’t work Marshall, we could have Presidential Survival show.
see the comment from bubba bill about mccain being an angry p.o.w. which is worse..losing your temper as a result of being beaten up for 5 years or a 60 year old getting service by a 21 yr old intern while taliking on the phone to a congressman about our tropps…maybe hillary should throw another lamp at the drunk, woman chasing has been ex president!!!
Thanks Doug. I’ve read book or two on the era…lol
chas
Doug..that is funny. Let’s see who would make it???? Obama has his youth on his side. McCain has his amazing survival ability already demonstrated when he was a POW.
Marshall…..that is also funny. I would add John Rich who does Nashville Star. He says exactly what he feels…sort of like Simon but not quite as mean…though close.
I better get some work done here.
Ali u must be busy today
Alisyn, ED Hill was on yesterday at 5pm I didnt get to watch the whole show because I got busy, is she going to be on at that time everyday?
Sal
I think so.
Love you guys – but – what a lousy interview with McCain. You had 5 minutes and you ask him about a campaign staff shakeup and an anger issue reported by Clinton. We don’t CARE who his campaign worker is. WE CARE about gas prices and food prices and why that fence has YET to be built.
Trudy
Iota,La
My friend, Kenny, had to work in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago and saw A-Rod on the street. He gave a woman standing next to him, a cell phone and asked her to take a pic of him with A-Rod. He didn’t realize until later that the woman was Madonna. Unfortunately, the picture wasn’t bright enough.
Hi Alisyn, yes it is on have a great day
I don’t understand why A-Rod would want Madonna. She is old and worn out. He can do so much better!!!!
Alisyn thanks for the lil dangle u gave on the couch…why is it that we get ripped by people at fox…god i will never forget your former coanchor calling us strange men and weird men one time when she was sitting with you…why do we get judged like that? we dont bother n e one…u r the coolest keep up the good work and the show after the show was good…i still find it so so tragic about what happened to dana reeve…life is too short and sometimes not fair

I’m not into all that gossip type news either, but I sure would like to know what goes on behind the scenes at Fox News, like who got mad and left, who got fired, who is doing who……… serious stuff like that.
Fox, in the interest of “fair and balanced” can you please have one of you financial annalist look at the difference between the Pres. Clinton’s yrs, and Pres. Bush’s yrs. over all (complete yrs in office) economic states, calculating in the attack of 9/11, worst natural disaster to our country (Katrina), and the war to keep further attacks to our country.
Provide this information to your aduience so we can make our own opinons of the true facts, not analisis from the puntents.
BTW: Bob is my favorite, though we disagree on about every thing. He seems to come to his opinion by his reasoning, and he is not offended when people disagree, compared to get stark raving mad as many do. Did I mention he is funny?
Suggestion: Make the Judge a regular guest on the show, love him too.
Good Morning Alisyn
as usual the first hour of fox and friends is always the best you handle topics with great smarts and that usual twinkle in your eye is always there thats what makes you so interesting to watch there are many sides to you and they are all good. it is great to see a smart woman who is not afraid to be a woman and show her funny side it always appears to me about you that what you see is what you get
i could care less about the celebrities in any way they are irrelevant and their messy divorces serve no purpose at all except to give them unneeded publicity
also good morning to all my fellow bloggers
i look forward to your show tomorrow it is always a pleasure to wake up and see your smiling face on the screem
Pat New Port Richey Fl
Forbes was right about the timing of the tech bubble bursting. Clinton reaped the benefits during his administration all the while knowing there was an economic time bomb ticking. I also believe research will tell you that the stage was set for the mortgage crisis during that administration.
Factor in the War on Terror resulting after 9/11 and the many very devastating natural disasters we have experienced over the past 7 years, it is really amazing we are doing as well as we are.
Good morning fellow bloggers. Been gone for a couple of days, so I missed the fun.
We really need to help out the folks that are “sick of the election” already. We all need to educate ourselves about who and what Obama really is. A well educated person should be very afraid of his positions on important topics that impact all of us (ie taxes, energy, foreign policy, etc).
Don’t look away. Educate yourself. Read as much as you can. Be prepared for the main stream media to pull you away from what you really believe.
Alisyn is all set this morning…u dont even miss us out here in blog world…u r extremely busy
Sailor Ken
What was done back then is terrible and my hope is that our country NEVER does this to any other returning Vets. So far we have managed to separate the feelings about the present war from the way people feel about the soldiers. Even the most liberal TV stations have done that.
Have you ever heard the song by Big and Rich called The Eighth Of November???? If not, search it out on CMT. It is the most beautiful tribute to the Vietnam Veterans. It was written after meeting one of them in a bar.
Thank you Ken for what you did then and now. Most of them were drafted I think and had absolutely no say in fighting the war.
JT,
You are correct of course, but seeing how Obama has started his hard right turn, he has changed his stance on just about everything, (except we hate Bush of course), with blinding ease and scant notice of the majority of the media, one can not define his positions.
That in its self is enough to raise concerns in my book, but the hardline true believers will pull the D or the R no matter what. It’s all about party now, not about Country.
chas
hi all,
candidates economic plan-both should have a magic wand-and thump it on the head of opec-
celebrity divorces-when what you want, it what everyone else has got, what you’ll get, is what
everyone has got-
JT – Everyone should do as you say and educate themselves on the issues before casting their vote. People have become very frustrated over the past 8 years and when a dynamic young speaker took the stage at the Democratic National Convention July 27, 2004 and delivered keynote address he caught the attention of many. Only in the past 6-8 months have people been seriously questioning who this young man is and what is he really all about.
McCain has never had the same type of charisma, but he is a solid true American patriot that would never do anything to intentionally harm this great country. He has a very long record of service to this country that is a tangible thing we can examine. That can’t be said about his opponent. I trust the man and he will be getting my vote in November.
Of course, I should add that I am a Republican, because that party more closely supports many of the fundamental values in which I believe.
Alisyn and fellow bloggers,
time to go to work,
have a great day everyone.
Sal
Well put Marshall.
Sal
Take care Sal.
Marshall
your views mimic mine exactly no one ever heard of obama before that speech at the dnc national
convention and was ironcally picked by the clintons from what i have heard. He is a charismatic speaker with a script in front of him but with none hems and haws a lot
i too believe mc cain will keep us safe and he loves this country deeply just as george bush does
i dont think it is coincidental that we havent been attacked again since 9-11 george bush has been very effective in that respect i feel safe with him as president and will feel safe with mc cain as president i definitely would not feel safe with obama as our president and if our country is not safe what does all the rest matter
Pat New Port Richey Fl
Good morning everyone — I was busy earlier so didn’t get to see much of the show this morning. I did see the McCain interview, and I, too, was very disappointed. The fluff questions asked of Obama by NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC are constantly being pointed out, and the F & F crew did exactly the same thing with McCain this morning. At th least, a question could have been asked that would clearly show an area where his approach would highly contrast with Obama’s.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the show and watch almost every morning.
It’s great when the Judge is on — his laugh just makes me happy!
HI everyone, Alysin, and blogger friends. I also love the first hour of the show. Its the best.
I am happy to report that my wife Birdie is now home and out of rehab after a year of illness.
Her quaility of life will not be the same, since she is wheelchair confined. I wish this time to
thank everyone at FOX and Friends, and to the bloggers, for their wonderful support and prayers
Maybe it should be called Fox and Family.
Bill
Bill Fahy – That is very good news about your wife! Give her our best wishes. Even though our faces are anonymous, there are real hearts and feelings on the other side of that monitor, so best of luck to the both of you and may you have many happy, healthy years together.
Mr. Fahy,
It is wonderful news that Nrs. Fahy is now home, but a mixed bag with the quality of life issue.
I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers. She may recover more than expected and if even not, she will continue to be there for you as you are there for her.
Thanks for keeping us up to date.
chas
bill
congratulations on your wife coming home i hope she will continue to do well and you have many healthy happy years together your family is back together and your new family of fox and fiends and alis bloggers have only good wishes for you
pat new port richey fl
Your right this thing is acting funny!
Again, I will start that while FOX is normally fair and blanced it seems to have fallen in love with Obama, since we see major portitions of his speeches and only little bites of McCain.
I understand even though I normally am still in bed in AZ when Fox and Friends is on that you all are doing a live interview with McCain. That is good and hope to see some of it!
But FOX in order to keep conserative viewers needs to start showing a little more McCain who clearly is the safer canidate to America.
Did see the same old stupid Dem rant on Hannity and Colmes with Bob Beckel and some Republicans. Hannity showed that Beckel could or would not answer one thing on Obama and what he would propose but instead spent all his time attacking Bush.
The Dems/Obama had better realize that most of us know the Dem controlled Congress is the problem with oil and Bush is not running for election McCain is and I have never seen McCain in 8 years agree with everything Bush has done!
Jim
Hi Alisyn,
I too was having trouble with “wordpress” but I’ll give another shot.
I’m with Pat on the celeberty divorces, who gives a hoot? I believe Christy Brinkely would probably prefer not to have this circus but such is the life of star. Not all of them need and attract such attention. You can tell Christie B. is a classy lady. She doesn’t make statements just to hear herself talk, she handles all this with the utmost dignity and pride, I have nothing but respect of her. Her resolve to stay quiet is best & loudest statement she can make. I’ll wager that she says nothing because she realizes the impact this may have on her children with this clown.
Women are far better people than men, that will always be true!
Pat,
Christie Brinkley is the one who made the decision to open the trial to the public.
when you file for divorce, just like when you sue someone, it becomes public information. Only a judge can decide to not disclose certain agreed upon information that’s to remain sealed.
She’s a class act and I’m sure it was difficult for her when she realized that she was sleeping with a complete stranger, someone she did not know like she thought she did!
We men need to be a little more understanding of what we put women through because we can’t keep our johnson (no offense meant to anyone named johnson) holstered.
I always laugh at how men cry like babies and can’t believe that their woman has cheated on them when they didn’t display the same emotions when they were getting their little extra piece of pie.
I’m not the moral majority but I have come to respect women and I am a much better person for it.
Good afternoon Alysin,
I am home now…and still not sure whether the boy has fixed this desk top or not? Will try to post, and see what happens. The lap top does just fine tho, so it has to be the desk top, and something I clicked!! ~~smile~~ I really don’t have a clue what I am doing most of the time!
Good after noon Bill Fahey…may I join in the congratulations on your wife, and her recovery, though ongoing, is wonderful, and we continue to say our prayers for you and your family.
Hi Sean…I answer to most anything..Gina, Gini, Ginger, Red, hey you!! ~~smile~~ Sweetie, honey…yeppers!
And hello to all my fellow bloggers, getting so numerous…in this most wonderful place to be.
I also LOVE “the judge”, and smile huge when he is on. I must join with all regarding the celebrity divorces and other shenanigans. I just go do something else while it is on, as I do know that air space must be filled by something, and there are those who might be interested, in passing…I hope? Yes, I am sure that must be true, as this particular group is much to smart and savvy to really “enjoy” these small segments. And isn’t it a bit of a shame, that our view of, is shattered by the 24/7 news of the day?
Let’s see now, IF this will post! Need to get the suit on and cool off in the pool…really really really HOT here in Ohio, and storms are threatening for later on, so must hurry fast and enjoy the sunshine, while I can!
Hi carlos
and ron i know christie brinkley was the one to make this public and this baffles me she definitely is a woman scorned and i am wondering if she thought all this would come out in the public domain so she figured it was best to be there to be the one to show she definitely was the innocent in all this this can not be good for her children so i do wonder why she went public with it
her soon to be ex seems like he really is a loser and just said everything was true and had a free ride for 10 years life is strange and why we do things even stranger but i never try to judge people the saying walk a mile in my shoes is so true you just never know how or what you would do if it was you and we dont know all the facts as we didnt live in that house
Computer troubles happen to all of us. I’ve been told mine are ID ten T errors. Write it out. I’m glad yours aren’t that bad. Have a good rest of the day Alishine.
Good afternoon Pat,
Christie Brinkley said she made this public, because it was going to be public anyway, so might as well “go public” in the beginning. Don’t really care, but that is what was reported on FOX.
And more than a little disturbing to this citizen.
Of course, the “quality” of life is also a definition that is very personal. I celebrate my father every day, and there is no question that his “quality” of life has diminished drastically with the Alzheimer’s. I wouldn’t give back a moment of the time…not one millisecond of. So, I would remind Sir Knight that it definitely is in the eye of the beholder, and not anyone else. i.e. Terry Shivo, and the many others whose lives were decided by “someone” that the “quality” didn’t meet “a standard” that was “acceptable”. Hummmm? A very strange attitude for a society to embrace I think.
Hi Alisyn…I think Celebrity Divorces are important. They remind us of the fortunate few, that despite all the blessings they have received, lead self-centered lives wrought with pain and anguish mostly felt by the unfortunate children that are a result of their tragic unions.
What’s more tragic is that the Hollyweird proudly display their deviant behaviors across the screens and pages of the popular press. I suppose those marriages who have survived the industry’s pressures would not be considered news-worthy…an interesting twist of priority? Hmmm…
I am by no means a perfect example; however, possibly if we had near-perfect examples of relationships…than maybe…just maybe…fewer relationships would be short-lived and individuals may just try to resolve their differences. I know; I am asking for too much.
Shalom Aleichem, Mark P.
Hi Brad
Yesterday you said Greg Kelly was on vacation until further notice, how do you know this? We are a bit concerned; we heard the same thing about Page Hopkins, and have barely seen her since. I surely hope Fox isn’t letting our favorite Lt Col go.
AS ROME BURNED SO DOES CALIFORNIA ITS A SIMPLE RESOLUTION TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF FIRE STARTS BUT THE GOVERNMENT HAS REACHED ITS LEVEL OF INCOMPENTENCE AND IS UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!
I dont really have a problem posting comments, but i couldnt really see most of the blog entry because of the blue stripe from the FNC logo blocking the way for some reason. But seems to only happen when i use the internet explorer browser. Everything seems to be perfectly fine with Firefox and Safari.
I dont see the sensationalism of celeb divorces. They just show you that unless you stay out of the spotlight, it is relatively impossible to have a long lasting traditional marriage. But there are a few in the buisiness who have managed to surpass those pitfalls.
Most of these rich ad famous people are also doing it for another reason, to get on t he front page of those gossip magazines. Sometimes it could be an ulterior motive, like jump starting their career after a long drought.
I am sure there are many other reasons, some we may never know.
Gini-
I absolutely agree with you about the judge. He is really funny, and always brightens up by day. He reminds me of the late great Marlon Brando.
I really like Bob Beckel, he always balances out the discussion with his wonderful insights.
Bill-
Congrats on your wife coming home, and i hope for a speedy recovery. You and your family are in my hearts and prayers during this rough time. You also have my deepest sympathies and condolences. Take Care.
Bret Favre is absolutely a positive role model to a lot of young kids, rumor had it he might return to the sport he loves, but nothing is official yet.
Now i have some trouble posting comments, 2 of them are refusing to appear, after i have typed it several times. I sure hope it didnt go into the spam file.
I really like Richard Beckel, he always balances out the discussion with his wonderful insights.
I think Mr. Beckel gives great insight to the discussion. I swear he and Mr. Morris could very well be brothers.
Could Beckel and Morris be long lost brothers? They both have striking similarities. But i really like both their insights.
Hi all…Brad, and how are you today? Sometimes the gods and gurus and the 14th floor, just swallow the posts up. No one knows why. We just smile, and keep typing away anyway. Sometimes the desk top works, and sometimes not. Go figure. lol
Hey Gini, i am doing fine, just a little fustrated about having to retype certain of my comments over and over, and they still havent shown up yet.
Brad,
I think, and hope, that it is all as Brett said just talk. I have a hard time believing that he would change his mind at this late date, considering what it would do to Rogers and the team in general.
He doesn’t strike me as that sort of rude person.
chas
I wonder if A Rod’s nasty public divorce will affect his growing fan base with the kids? I sure hope not. Not to mention Madonna is part of the love triangle. I just read on some gossip site that tween superstar Miley Cyrus looks up to Madonna as her role model. You have to be kidding me? Apparently Miley made a homemade youtube video as a tribute to her, and it looks like she didnt like it that much, because a stern letter was sent back to her.
Brad….maybe if it is a really good thought, you might copy and then if it doesn’t post, one could then paste. I never think to do that, but recreating a thought is not always easy?
Good after noon Sir Knight…and how are you? I did post a query regarding the “quality” of life you mused abt. Didn’t post, but oh well. Seems to me the “quality” of, rests with the person…I wouldn’t trade a second of the time, or the melancholy moments attached to, with my dad, and it arguably what some might think, not “quality”. Alzheimer’s steals the memory, and is such a wicked disease. A society that decides that quality is only measured by productivity, is in serious serious trouble. Dad may not remember, but I do, and the children do, and the great grandchildren do….Quality? Define please…:)
This morning there were problems with sites that feature youtube videos but it was solved quick and it took me what seemed like forever to get into my blog

Gini,
I find quality of life to be fully within myself. I make enough to have food, a roof and a Sam Adams in hand, pretty much covers it.
I think most people today, in this Country at least, believe that quality means the same thing as quanity. The more I owe and own means I am happy.
As you age, quality of life, to me, means still being able to fend for myself. But that is just me, other views may vary.

What was the topic? After reading all the posts…I am just not sure anymore….
Backing up…backing out …and reading the main page again to get a grip on the actual subject matter …
Good evening Crew.
Brett Favre, great QB on my favorite team. One of my all-time favorite players. Very gutsy and always left everything he had on the field. Not always smart, but still fun to watch.
He has also done things in his personal life, they are published, that I would not want my son to do.
That said, he is still one of my favorite players of all time. I also like that I am younger than him.
I hope the rumors of his return to the game are just that, rumors. He was the best QB last season in the NFC, that is a great season to end on.
Mr Fahy-So glad your wife is home again. Being home helps to heal so I hope that she only gets better.
I just saw Gretas report on the status of Bret Favre returning for another season, and its looking more and more like its going to be an reality. He has apparently contacted the Packers general manager, and it looks like the shareholders are going to have the final say. Greta is one of the shareholders(being from Wisconsin, i guess), so we should be hearing more about the subject from her in the upcoming days. She may even have a say on whether he returns. All the reports are saying he has a least a couple more years left in him.
the NY Giants are my all time favorite team, but if they didnt make the championships, the Packers were my 2nd choice. I used to be a fan of the Patriots, but after all that controversy over the videotaping of plays, its definately changed by mind about them.
Hey Gini-
Thanks for the idea. I didnt even think of it until you bought it up. I will definately try it next time, i wasted 10 extra mins re typing the same messages over and over again.
Btw, my comment still didnt surface up yet.
I guess the quality of life is how what you make of it. The motto should be to live your life to the fullest, and be kind and gentle to others, and give to your local charity often. Besides, we live in the best place in the world, and i wouldnt trade it in for anything.
Alzheimer’s can be cured, with medicine, if caught early. A lot of times it can be prevented, with being active, and keeping your mind healthy, by doing a lot of reading, and crossword puzzles.
The Brooke Bennet case is really sad. Her own uncle is trying to exploit her. Its so sickening. She should have run away from home, if she only had known what her own flesh and blood was planning on doing to her.
Sean-
I agree with you about professional athletes. They all have a huge ego, i guess its because they are rich and famous, so they thinking they can get away from anything. I heard a lot of them are very rude and disrespectful if a person asks them for a pic or autograph. Take Kobe Bryant for example, he got away scott free after what terrible things he did to that poor girl.
I know someone here mentioned about John Rich who does Nashville Star. He saids what is on her mind because he gets paid to, everytime him or Simon starts a scandal, the ratings got up. Its simple as that.
Doesnt B.Beckel remind you of D.Morris? I swear they could be long lost brothers or something.
Okay, here are my two bits about the Brinkley/Cook divorce. Despite what the sleezeballs in the Porno industry say, their skank influences men to do some unthinkable and repulsive actions. Further, the Porno industry influences and encourages infidelity/promiscuity. Doesn’t matter who you are or how much money you have, we all fall victim to temptation…Mr. Cook has cooked his own goose…noose? But at the same time, maybe Ms. Brinkley was falling victim to the Hillary syndrome and turning her back on her husband’s issues. Heck, Mr. Brinkley may have hoping health care for everyone would fix her husbands indiscretions.
I think I just heard that Malone was climbing a building in NYC!!! Hmmmm….. might be a different Malone.
Correction, the Douglas County Courthouse is in Castle Rock, Colorado about 70 miles southwest of Greeley.
Hi
Good morning Alysin,
OH my gosh! Let’s hope Mike Malone is not climbing a building. Good morning fellow fans. The news continues to be incredible regarding the language issue and the jr senator fr Illinois.
The judge is on, and so I am smiling….really enjoy him.
Hi Brad….hope all is well with you.
That might be a fun thing to do Alysin. A little quest for who speaks more than on language here on this fan base? And I mean different languages!!! Not, dialects….depending on where one might be from in these United States, it can get a little dicey understanding if traveling this great land? ~~smile~~ Yep! And that is a fact…lol I speak the English language.
Good morning Crew,
Thanks Brad, for me it is more than just attitude. It is the drug use (whether roids, other narcotics, or alcohol), the bad antics on the field, children out of wedlock, cheating on their wives, etc… Not every athlete falls into one of these catagories, at least I hope not. Their names do not readily come to mind.
The same is true, if not worse about the other entertainers, actors, musicians, etc……
(Sean officially steps down off of his soap box)
Going back to Barrack Obama’s comments, whether you agree with them or not, the mocking tone is elitist.
In my experience, how you say something matters as much as what you are saying. He is a bit smug/elitist for a short resume to be president.
Mr. Fahy,
I am new here but thoughts and prayers for you and your wife.
Best,
Sean
Alysin,
Brad…I didn’t think of it either, until I lost some posts to the gods and gurus and the 14th floor re: copy/paste….so am glad to remind that is an option…as apposed to throwing one’s puter through the nearest window!!! ~~smile~~ Good morning Sean. He sounds elitist because he is. Well said, yet again.
Ah…and the Catholic church is in the news again. Don’t they just love stories about the church. But, the judge will explain this better than I. lol No…tis alright, and death does not fit this crime. HEY! It is a wafer UNTIL it is blessed, put simply, so Gretchen, you may have as many as you like, as they come in very large bags, and sit on the shelf until that moment in the Mass.
Have a good day, I am out.
Gini-
My post finally came up, i just noticed it above yours. After the 5th time of reposting. I saw a commericial once of a guy throwing a computer out of the high rise building, simply because he was upset about his slow internet connection. It was an advertisement for a high speed internet connection, i dont remember the name. It was kind of funny.
Of course BHO is an elitist, all he cares about is himself. And his power. We cant even challenge this Anti American associations and friends, for fearing we would be called a racist. This is nothing to do with race, its about the guy who is going to be our next commander in chief. And we have better scrutinize him as much as possible before its too late.
Sean-
Every celeb probably has over indulged or dabble with drugs in thier lifetime, probably more than the regular person. It because they can afford it, they have all the money, so they think they are Gods, and nothing can stop them.
Chuck Norris is the only positive person i can think of, he was, and still is my role model. I always try and life my life the way he does.
I dont know what is going on with the Catholic Church, i hope the problems with pedophilia have been resolved.
To Marshall and Gini-
The guy climbing the building could very well be Mike Malones long lost brother
He sure has his talent and skills.
Three things about money:
1. There’s plenty to go around.
2. Hollywood shines with it.
3. Alisyn, if I had that two cents, I’d share it with you. (LOL)
