Favorite 80s TV shows
by Alisyn Camerota
Did you hear what Brian just said was his? Joannie Loves Cha-Chi! That’s hilarious. Or ridiculous. What was your’s? And what do you think Steve’s hair looked like in the 80’s. Stay tuned.

HOT outfit today, Alisyn ! Purple is YOUR color !
From the ’80s I really like LA Law and Hill Street Blues.
Of course, I also loved Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Have a great day!
Good Morning Ms. Alisyn,
If you look at yesterday’s blog at 2:46pm, you will find a couple of post that you might want to remove. I was going to contact you yesterday, but I didn’t want to be a bother. Last thing I want to be is a pest.
I know that Fox News Watch talks about Headline coverage, but what about failure to cover a headline. I haven’t seen the media bury a story so fast in a long time. I am of course, referring to Obama’s about face on using Public Funds for the General Election. It’s almost like every major print and media outlet ran the story for a half day and then ignored it. Only GOP talking heads even bring it up and the Dem talking heads spin the good for the Country lie. Which we all know isn’t the case. It’s because he can by-pass spending caps, (that he claims to support), because he has so much money to spend.
Here is another story that isn’t getting much press: House Appropriations Committee Chairman David Obey(D-Wis.) cut off the entire appropriations process to protect Democrats from having to vote on oil drilling. With the majority of American’s finally seeing the light and backing drilling to possibly ease gas prices, Obey is playing politics while the poor pay the price.
There was TV in the 80′S? I honestly was never that much of a TV watcher until the last 8 years or so.
If I was watching anything it was Football. Other than that My TV was pretty much a dust collecor.
Enjoy the Holiday Ms. Alisyn. I guess the younin’s are still a bit small for fireworks though.
chas
First let me say I throughly enjoyed the ATSS yesterday you had the fourteen year olds move down pat in less that two minutes. Dancing is almost good as sex Alisyn…noticed I almost…it is one my favorite things in life.
Favorite shows
Mash
Moonlighting
Rosie
Happy 4th of July Eve to Alisyn!
You are looking great this morning! That is a very nice color on you and the cut reminds us there are some six pack abs hiding in there.
Cristie Brinkley’s ex must have been born in a watermelon patch under a full moon. How does a guy spend that much money on porn? Couldn’t he just buy the tape for $19.95 + S&H?
80’s Sitcoms: Cheers & Night Court
BBQ Guest: Not sure about that one. Nothing like discussing politics and religion at a drunken backyard feast. Somehow you just know that the cops would be visiting before the day was over.
TNG, was late 80’s, but being in Germany I didn’t see the first season until 1990. AFN is slow most the time.
chas
Night Court!! Newheart, Cheers, WKRP in Cincinnati, Family Ties, Miami Vice (A police show or MTV lite?), Hunter & MacGyver (You can solve any problem with duct tape, a paperclip, swiss army knife and anything within arms reach. LOL) And I agree with Alisyn about Family Ties, but I watched because of Joanna Kerns!
Seeing all those shows I am begining to understand why I never had my homework done the next day.
I think people are being too tough on Christie Brinkley’s soon to be ex. All of that wasn’t his fault. He was on a watermelon diet and couldn’t help himself. LOL
I bet Steve’s hair looked identical to his hair today. Probably the same suit and tie too! lol
LOL, Morning Mr. Malone.
Morning Marshall.
I have to go with STTNG.
Looking back after 20 years, it was way ahead of it’s time.
Good Day all us Ali-phanatics!
Ali great first hour…and yes Brian wiht the Joannie loves Cha-Chi is carzy. Sitcoms were the best during the 80’s. Cheers and Night court were tops for me.
Have to say Darlin’ you have left us in a “purple haze” this AM…yesterday “Woman in Red” was very nice…but today…lets just say HOT HOT HOT!!!
So question 4 u…with all of us Ali-phanatics pumping you up each day, is it your family that keeps you grounded or is it Brian and Steve? What we all doing for the 4th?
Love ya Sweetie

Hi Alisyn. I just wanted to let you know my favorite TV shows from the 80’s were Family Ties, Bosom Buddies, Greatest American Hero, St. Elswhere, and Square Pegs.
Morning Dog. Long time no see.
I don’t think Alf got the respect it deserved back in the 80’s. Watching re-runs I now see there was some biting, satirical commentary hidden within those scripts. Plus, Alf was one cool looking muppet!
Alisyn,
Have Steve and Brian been eating watermelon or are they just happy to see you do the headlines? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)

Mornin’ Chas! Got a big holiday weekend planned?
morning chas, marshall, dog.
ALF was good. I would have liked to see a cross over episode between ALF & LA Law where ALF was sued for eating someone’s cat. LOL
Interesting no mentions of ‘The Cosby Show’ when it is supposed to be the biggest show of the 80s.
Can’t stand to watch food eating contests! *barf* How is that woman going to explain to her children how she ate so many weenies so fast?
Good Morning Alisyn,
May I say, you look absolutely gorgeous today!
M*A*S*H and Cheers had to be the best of the 80’s. We need more comedies like that.
By the way…..I like your picture from the beach yesterday……WOW! Wish you would have been at the beach I go to!
Tell Gretchen that the 35W bridge almost spans the Mississippi again. They should be done in about 8 weeks. Have a great Holiday!!!
Pat
Nice of Jessie to have 80’s hair for the show today. I think he left some of it at home.
Mornin’ Malone! I never could really get into the Cosby show. I liked him better in I Spy, but that would be the wrong decade.
Good morning Ali-Phanatics
Ali great first hour, and yes…what’s the deal with Brian and Joannie loves Cha-Chi thats just crazy.
Sitcoms were the best in the 80’s before all the reality shows started…my tops had to be Cheers and Night Court!
I must say Ms. Ali you have left us all in a “purple Haze” this AM…yesterday “Woman in Red” was very nice…but today WOW, as the great song says HOT HOT HOT!!
so question…Darlin’ with all of us Phanatics talking each day who keeps u grounded? Family…or steve and brain?
Love ya sweetie!
have a great 4th
First we had the talk of watermelon’s newly discovered medicinal effects.
Then the 4 way affair with Madonna, Lenny Kravitz and A Rod & his wife.
After that the Judge brought us news of the Brinkley/Cook divorce with his porn bill and affairs.
Now we just had the segment on hotdog eating contest.
Is this morning’s show being sponsored by Freud and ‘Masters & Johnson’?
Howdy Chas.
I’ve been busy lately.
Jimmy isn’t the only one with a new family member.
I hope to have pictures for everyone soon.
Good Morning Alisyn
some of my favorites was,
Cheers, Mash, Growing Pains,Facks of life,Moonlighting,
and Obama is a Carter like candidate,
just thought I would throw that in… lol.
Sal
All my weekends are the same Marshall, yard work…lol
Morning Sal.
Yesterday’s picture thon kind of spoiled me too. Now I want every blog to start with a bikini picture!
Morning, Chas, Marshall, Dog.
Sal
Congratulations DogOnCrack!
Mornin’ Sal! This is a Friday on Thursday for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
marshall, I like the idea of every blog starting with a pic of Alisyn in a bikini!
Aly, I will bring the camera, beer and hot dogs. You bring the bikinis and buns. And we will do the photoshoot for all the bikini pics to start each days blogs.
You will be known as the ‘blogging bikini babe’

Can’t wait until we recount the first decade of 2000. Will Ali show us a bikini picture then? Stay tuned to fox and friends in 2028.

Salutoni
Francesco
Miami Vice and then Perfect Strangers.
Did anyone notice Brian trying to goose Alisyn yesterday? I decided he has the best job in the world when I saw that.
Fair and Balanced. Red and Blue make Purple! Ali is representing “FOX” in more ways than one today. Smokin Ali. Thanks for sharing your summer comfort in today’s outfit.
80’s tv…maybe mtv
Good moring to Alysin and all the regular bloggers. I hope you have a safe and fabulous week end.
I did love the Cosby Show as I had young children then and liked the good family aspect. It is hard to remember many of them as I was deep in the land of Sesame Street with 4 young kids. I did also love Little House on the Prarie.
Hey there good looking cowboy
Favorite shows were Cheers, Hunter,Night Court, Newheart.
Marshall I think Jesse left more than just some of his hair at home…..Have a Happy 4th ALL!!!!
The whole F&F crew look great today! My sister and I especially love Brian..He is adorable.
Congrats Dog. Should have told me sooner, maybe we could have had a special for you on the blog also. Maybe we still can…OH Ms. Alisyn!!!!
chas
Morning Eileen.
As far as 80s sitcoms go no one has mentioned the favorite of the George H.W. Bush Administration, ‘Murphy Brown’. LOL
What about Nancy Reagan’s favorite shows? ‘The A-Team’ (Her meeting with Mr T is classic 80s) and ‘Different Strokes’. (Wait a minute before you yell “What you talkin about Malone?”. Nancy Reagan did a guest shot on ‘Different Strokes’ as part of her ‘Just say ‘NO!’ campaign to drugs. I don’t think the cast was paying attention. I think Nancy is the only one from that show that is still alive or hasn’t been arrested)

I must agree with Wayne Ally, you look simply marvelous in purple. I’ve meant to compliment you on your choice of red, because you always look good in red but today the purple is spot on. I appreciate you guys every morning, informative and entertaining, I commend your team. I’m from Nassau Bahamas, 30 years old and love fox and friends is that strange? Well just popping in to pat you all on the back. Good job.
Must be blocked this morning. Let’s see if 3rd time is a charm.
Miami Vice and Perfect Strangers.
Did anyone else see Brian try to goose Alisyn yesterday? I decided he has the best job in the world if he gets to do that.
Greetings from Oklahoma, How is everyone? Favorite 80s TV….Bob Newheart , ALF.
Maybe the 80’s don’t interest me as much because I was well into being an adult being in my 30’s. Or the fact my life at that time was military service and making a family.
Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time, it just wasn’t centered around TV, Music or Movies.
chas
Morning wskybnder. Good to see you back.
80’s TV shows list should include ‘Head of the Class’. It was about a high school class of super smart students and their unconvential teacher. Howard Hessman was the teacher and Robin Givens was one of the students. Then Givens married Mike Tyson and she was expelled from the class. It just wasn’t believable any longer for her to play a genius when she had done something as stupid as marrying Mike Tyson.
Luckily she did divorce him before he ate her ear. :O
Take note women. Never marry a guy whose voice is higher than your own.

chas,
Thanks for the military service. We will give you a pass on not knowing all this 80s pop culture stuff since you were doing something serious allowing the rest of us to watch our tv and listen to music.
The 80’s were a transitional time in my life too. I decided it was time to grow up and settle down. I went from single, chasing women, partying all night in 1979 to married with three kids by 1986. Looking back, partying all night wasn’t such a bad plan….. lol
Thanks Mr. Malone.
Germany isn’t the easist place to keep up to date on what’s up on American TV…lol
chas
And I would love to see a picture of Chas in his uniform
Alisyn,
Please give Toba a big congrats on his top notch job of using great 80s music as the bumpers.

Where oh where is Alisyn this morning?
Chas, I also want to say, thank you for your Military service.
Sal
As obvious as it may seem, the best thing about the 80’s was Reagan.
Good morning Alysin,
Hello fellow bloggers! Congrats Dog..and we are anxious to see the pictures. Marshall…barf is an understatement for eating contests. Can’t watch them either. And yes Chas…life was just a little too busy for me to be watching t.v. for sure, except the aforementioned Big Bird and other related children’s shows. wskybnder…and good morning to you!!! I am from the great state of Oklahoma..Tulsa/Broken Arrow area…and my family is still there, though I am in yankee country these days…and missing the sunshine for sure!!!
Alysin..it is so nice to be in this most lovely place. You look beautiful as usual. lol
Sorry Eileen, none of those around that I can get hold of. Besides couldn’t even get my regular picture on the show. I think it scared the producers….lol
The 80’s — let me think — my husband was teaching and coaching 4 sports, so between taking our two kids to sporting events and finishing my Masters degree, I don’t think I actually saw very many complete TV shows. We did like the sit coms others have mentioned. Thank goodness, we didn’t have to worry about the language and content being appropriate for family viewing!
Hope everyone has a great holiday — don’t forget to put out your flags.
Alisyn:
I must agree with Chas this morning. You look hot. That dress looks like your ready for some fun.
I got a late start and missed the early segment of the show. Seeing you do the news at 6:30 cdt made me sorry I overslept.
On a more serious note. I don’t mind Jesse Ventura asking questions, but does he need to phrase them in such a way that makes him look so ridiculous! If he has questions about why the towers fell the way they did, why doesn’t he ask a structural engineer, instead of assuming a government plot?
Have a great day.
Alysin,
Good morning Sal…And I sure agree with you Dog! re: Reagan. Yes, Chas…let’s see a picture of you in uniform. Good morning Eileen, and I would like to see that also. ~~sigh~~ men in military uniform are just so handsome….lots of sighing went on when we lived on post, which was most of my life! lol
They just said that Alisyn hasn’t been able to stay in the greenroom and blog because the smell of the krispykreme bacon cheese burgers was making her feel sick.
I would love some krispy kreme donuts or a bacon cheese burger for breakfast, but not both at the same time.
Prince William stops the smuggling of 900 kilos of coke. Guess someone is going to have to cancel their 3 day July 4th weekend party. LOL
Mr. Malone,
I think Ms. Alisyn is trying to catch up on yesterday’s blog. She was making responses earlier this morning.
chas
chas, thanks for the 411. I will go over and look to see what our blog queen is saying.
And I thought she was just hanging outside with Grand Faster Flash and showing off her wicked break dancing movies.
Alisyn,
It seems to me that you actually blog here much less frequently than you used to — is it my imagination? I’m sure we all miss your comments. Are they working you too hard ?
Hey Alisyn,
I am a HUGE fan of yours and am really enjoying the 80’s Theme Week. You guys are doing a totally awesome job…get it?? Totally awesome ( 80’s term).. I’ve even had a few flashbacks of driving around in my IROC Z listening to Bananarama and the Beastie Boys.
I would also like to alert your viewers to an online scam. The name of the company is Legion Global; they also go by the name of LG Wholesale. This so called “boiler room” company sells hot tubs, ATV’s, recreational vehicles, etc. They are located in Joliet, IL and New Lenox IL. I ordered a hot tub from them over a year ago. It was delivered severely damaged, and is still inoperable. After months of umpteen phone calls and emails, I still have been getting the run around and have yet to get any type of compensation whatsoever. I was wondering if you can please look into this so called company through any of your resources that you might have.
Whatever you can do would be GREATLY appreciated.
YOUR BIGGEST FAN,
Anthony
Glad to have been of some small service Mr. Malone.
Alysin,
Jesse Ventura would like to be relevant again I think? If he ever was, and I am not sure governor of Minnesota ever made him so? Garrison Keeler might be more so than he ever was perhaps? He has said this before, and I have wondered why on earth he doesn’t find out, what with his “demolition experience in the service”, which he mentions every time he is on. The government has lied to him his whole life? Hummmm….well, about what then have they lied to you about Jesse? When did it become the business of government to inform the citizen’s about our plans of engagement when fighting a war? Or is that what he is talking about. Hummm…don’t know. And haven’t read his book, and probably won’t read his book. If one has a question, ask your representative, and I am sure they can tell you whatever is available, that they know of anyway. Government is full of intrigue and compromise, and that is why the people we elect need to be of good character and honorable. The trust they are given, in this Representative Republic we live in, is daunting. Listen, think, discern. Look at the person and decide if they are of good character and honorable. Would you let them in your front door? That is the question, I think.
Morning Ms. Liz,
Please note my previous post.
I hope you and yours have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend.
chas
I am off work this week and actually thought I would check out the Fox&Friends website and ran across this blog. Wow, never realized Allisyn was so popular.
Looking at Steve’s 80’s pics makes me wonder if he was the blonde guy on Full House.
Best

Thanks — often, it seems that when I refresh my page some posts don’t appear until I refresh for the second time. It usually happens after I have posted something. Guess I’ll have to remember to refresh more than once. I just figured they had her doing fifty different things at once!
Liz, I think you are right. Miss Audra must be keeping Alisyn busy getting her coffee and picking up Audra’s dry cleaning.
I must of made Alisyns Ignore list.
Sal
I am disappointed that the Judge was on the show this morning and nobody asked him what his hair looked like in the 80s!! LOL
the A-Team!!! i even have their theme song as one of my ringtones now!!!
Alysin,
Absolutely Liz K…very very busy time, but one could turn the t.v. on and not be totally assaulted on every level. Too bad that went away isn’t it? And I don’t think censorship is good, but good manners and good taste has and should not ever, go out of “style” I think.
Are we all ready for our big birthday event? I am!! Happy Birthday to alllllllll of us, and especially to all the fans on this particular most wonderful place to be!
Only ignored Sal, be thankful. Seems I made the Producers too scary for TV list….lol
chas
Alysin,
Thanks Chas…and I did go look.
Alysin…yes, there are six of them for sure! And we did have the best time for sure. They are all bumping or over thirty now. And still a lot of fun, and I can actually have a conversation with? Yeppers! Not that any of them agree with me or each other, as far as that goes, so the conversations can be and are, very fun and interesting, as the perspectives of each one is so different and all the same at once. This household can be a very interesting place to be for sure! I have often thought they could just come here and do alllllllllll the poling, and save a ton of money in the process! lol P.S. My abs will never recover! And I did not try the tuck tape thingy yet. ~~smile~~ but, am just sure it would work. lol
Cheryl,
They didn’t have to ask The Judge about how his hair looked in the 80s, they had photos of him from then. I guess you missed it.
Good morning Gini, and you’re welcome.
Alysin,
Oh yes Jon! And didn’t we all love the A-Team. It plays regularly here and is still a really fun show to watch. And since I missed so many of, have really enjoyed them. lol
Gini said… “yes, there are six of them for sure! And we did have the best time for sure.”
You were having the best time, and that is why you ended up with six kids. LOL
O/T, what do you call a hippie that actually bathes?
Don’t ya think Minnesota was just kind of joking around and were as surprised as everyone else when Jesse actually won? lol
Well dog. We are waiting….lol
Good Morning Gini,
I doubt that Chas Im sure you look fine,
and I agree Dog, Reagan was a great President,
and I hear you cowboy Jesse Ventura doesnt know what he is talking about.
Sal
Chas, Senator or Congressman.
Take your pick.
A minister dies and is waiting in line at the Pearly Gates.
Ahead of him is a guy who’s dressed in sunglasses, a loud shirt, leather jacket, and jeans.
Saint Peter addresses this guy, “Who are you, so that I may know whether or not to admit you to the Kingdom of Heaven?”
The guy replies, “I’m Joe Cohen, taxi driver, of Noo Yawk City.”
St. Peter consults his list.
He smiles and says to the taxi driver, “Take this silken robe and golden staff and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
The taxi driver goes into Heaven with his robe and staff, and it’s the minister’s turn.
He stands erect and booms out, “I am Joseph Snow, pastor of Calvary for the last forty-three years.”
St Peter consults his list.
He says to the minister, “Take this cotton robe and wooden staff and enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
“Just a minute,” says the minister. “That man was a taxi driver, and he gets a silken robe and golden staff. How can this be?”
“Up here, we work by results,” says Saint Peter. “While you preached, people slept; while he drove, people prayed.”
Sal I think we are all on ignore today. Alisyn has not made a single comment this morning. I think Fox is holding her hostage and trying to make her hair poof up like it did in the 80’s!
Was there an ASS this morning? If so, was anything good on there?
