What is the 80’s week about? Love the music but don’t know why this is 80’s week.

Tell Patti Ann hello from the blog world!!!!!

The lovely Patti Ann Browne is back ! YEA ! YEA !

Not that I don’t appreciate Alisyn but Patti Ann is the cat’s meow !

Will the regular crew be there for the 4th?

Good morning Ms. Audra,

Nice to have you here to blog with us.

So, how is life in the big city treating you?

Have you settled in on one type of activity or are you still just trying to take it all in?

Morning Marshal.

I believe that Ms Ainsley mentioned that the weekend crew was going to be there Friday.

I’ve seen better looking “Work for Food” signs along the sign of the road. That guy should at least make an effort to make his sign look professional and get a more official sounding email address.

Morning Chas! No offense, but Ainsley is the only one I like on the weekend crew. lol

Looks like someone is trying to swiftboat McCain first thing this morning. When people attack McCain’s service to his country it only makes people angry. If they can’t come up with legitimate issues with his policies, they sink to the depths of bad taste.

McCain is the only logical, sane choice to be our next president!

Comment by Audra

Hey everyone! I am still really enjoying my time in NYC and im still just trying to take it all in! Glad you asked. I think the idea behind 80’s week is just to have a fun theme of guests for the week and give all the 80’s fans a blast from the past. Stay tuned this morning to see pics of Gretchen from the 80’s!!

Comment by Marshall

Btw, didn’t Clinton first take office in 1993?

Comment by marshall g.

hi,
I saw ali on redeye the other night-
she seemed surprised by the show’s content-
did she say anything to you?

Comment by Marshall

Audra - How long do you get to stay in NYC before returning to school? You do return to school don’t you?

Comment by chas

You are correct Marshall. I looked real quick. Hangs with some pretty nasty individuals as I see it.

chas

Comment by chas

I was going to ask if we would see pictures of you Ms. Audra, but….*chuckle*

So much fun to pick on the young….lol

Comment by Marshall

I would love to see Ali on Red Eye! Is a YouTube of her out there some where? Malone! You out there? Don’t you capture Red Eye videos?

Comment by Suzy

The best choice yes but a war hero he is not. The website is run by people he served
with and they are telling what really happen at Hanoi Hilton

Actually Ali didn’t say anything to me about Red Eye. I will be here for a few more weeks though.

Comment by Marshall

Audra - We need some before and after NYC pictures of you before you go. We want to see how much influence the big apple had on you. lol

Comment by chas

According to them. That doesn’t deminish the fact that they are rather nasty individuals.

And to my knowledge McCain never once called himself a Hero. And if you think he is the best man for the job, you do him a great disservice by posting those rantings. IMHO.

Comment by chas

I am glad we have you for a few more weeks at least. We will miss you when you leave. :(

Good Morning Audra
Patti Ann is a beautiful lady, shes doing a great job.
Sal

Comment by Marshall

We all know that they were going to let McCain go when they learned who his father was and he refused the offer. Nothing new about that. We also all know that his arms were permanently damaged while he was held captive. That article is trying to make something out of nothing and malign the character of the only candidate we have had in decades that did actually serve his country during a time of war.

Nasty? They telling the truth about him. And I never said he called him self a hero but he never denied it when the media calls that

Comment by Marshall

Patti Ann does come across as being very sweet and she must have a great sense of humor, because I have seen YouTube captures from her appearances on Red Eye.! lol

What are you career plans Audra?

Comment by chas

Sorry if you told us before, (I have CRS), are you working towards a career in front of or behind the camera?

Comment by Salvatore

John McCain is the best choice for the American people to make in november.
Sal

Comment by Audra

A career in front of the camera would be nice!

Comment by chas

Once again, the truth according to them. I’ve heard others opinion that served with him and it in no way resembles what those people say about him.

And yes Nasty. You can “tell the truth” as you say without the vitrolic inclination.

Comment by chas

It would be nice for the viewers too. ;)

Comment by Marshall

Suzy - I am really not getting your point this morning. Many of us do consider McCain a hero, because it was his choice to serve his country and it was his choice to stay in a Viet Nam war prison under extreme conditions until all the others could be released too.

Comment by Marshall

Audra - Do you see yourself doing hard news or feature type reports? Which reporter past or present do you especially like?

Comment by Salvatore

Good Morning,
Chas and Marshall.
Sal

Comment by JT

Good morning all! With a mentor like Alisyn, I’m sure you’ll get there Audra.

Did anyone else just laugh at Clark being an idiot again? Talk about someone not willing to give up their 15 minutes of fame.

Comment by Marshall

Morning Sal!

Yep, this whole election has gotten crazy! Obama’s campaign talking about McCain’s experience is one of the craziest things yet. Talk about living in a glass house!

Comment by Marshall

I like Jill Dobbson. We don’t see enough of her.

Comment by Audra

I am interested in hard news stories and feature stories. That is the great thing about working with Alisyn…I get the best of both worlds. She covers stories from storeadore.com to hard political stories. Thanks for your confidence in me JT!

Comment by Marshall

Can you see yourself in a bunker in Iraq or just behind the desk?

Comment by Audra

I would be up for anything!

Comment by Salvatore

Audra stay with Fox News and you will get there.
Sal

Comment by Laurie

Hi Audra,

Just so you know, you do an awsome job while Alisyn is out with the blog. Its hard to believe you are just an intern. They should bring you coffee. Anyways, the 80’s were a great time for me. I enjoyed the big hair, the clothes, the rock music and of course THE MEN WHO SANG THE ROCK MUSIC. Talk about eye candy. I better stop now because I am starting to drool.

Have an awsome day and a great July 4th.

Laurie

Comment by Marshall

Fox has some great reporters that get into the middle of the action. I would think that would be more interesting than reading the news, but I doubt they have lives that go very far beyond their careers.

Comment by Audra

Thank you Laurie! I really appreciate that! It is so much fun to hear everyone’s 80’s stories! Sadly I was just a baby in the last year of the 80’s.

Comment by chas

Becare Ms. Audra, giving Marshal an opening like being “up for anything”, could get you in trouble….lol

Comment by chas

That should read be careful.

Comment by chas

I spent most of the 80’s in the Service, Ft. Bragg, Hunter Army Air Field, and Germany.

Comment by Audra

Sorry I assumed everyone would know I meant I would be up anything in news….entertainment, political news, etc.

Comment by chas

I am teasing you Ma’am. Marshall is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Comment by Eileen

Good morning chas, :)

The very best thing in the 80’s that comes right to my mind is John Bon Jovi. I did think the big hair was a bit freaky though. I like his hair much better now. And, as far as I know, he is still married to his long time wife. That is truley amazing for such a famous rocker with millions of girls screaming for just a little piece of him

Glad you are still enjoying your job Audra. We have several student interns where I work and they are such a wonderful example of the young people of today. The future is safe with students like them and you. I love their enthusiam.

Comment by chas

Good morning Eileen. ;)

Comment by Audra

Well I love being here Eileen!

Comment by mark d

good morning audra,

whats it like living up north where all the people talk with an accent? wont you be glad to get back down south where all the people speak normal?

mark in alabama

Comment by Audra

What is funny is I am really considered to have a strong accent here. No one complains about it though, people seem to like my southern accent. Everyone’s accent here is different, but it is neat to hear people from different cultures.

Comment by Marshall

Now, Now! lol

All my kids came along in the 80’s. It was a fun, intertesting time in life. Wouldn’t repeat it for nuttin! 8O

Comment by Audra

It is interesting how different life is from the 80’s now huh?

Suzy - I am really not getting your point this morning. Many of us do consider McCain a hero, because it was his choice to serve his country and it was his choice to stay in a Viet Nam war prison under extreme conditions until all the others could be released too.

He did noting of the sort!!! he was released early because he turned over military secrets and because of who his father was. And if think they lying than why did McCain have his military
records, (the time he spent at HH) sealed and listed as classified?

And if you think I am for Obama think again. I do not want a Muslim as the POTUS. If he does win
in Nov I do not want to wake up one morning and hear that Obama is having a party for jihad
relatives in the rose garden

Comment by chas

Way different. For one thing somewhere along the way I got old…lol I had kids, but now I have adults.

Do you have any place in mind as to where you’d like to start out? Or just take what comes along?

Comment by Luis

Think Homer Simpson’s voice…..Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, PATTI ANN :)

Me Likey

Comment by Audra

Im not sure where I will start out I guess we will see with time!

Comment by chas

History seems to indicate otherwise Suzy.

But then again the rest of the world could be wrong and your friends are the final judgement in truth. Seems rather unlikely however.

Comment by chas

I guess in your line of work the chances of going where you want are less than going where you are wanted.

On the bright side however, you seem to be a very charming young lady and seem to be very much at ease. So I believe that no matter where you go, making and having friends will not be a concern you will have.

Audra do you like it at Fox News?

Sounds like Suzy should spend more time reading. Maybe if she spent as much time reading a book as she does ranting she would learn something. Really! Doesn’t even realize Clinton wasn’t president until the 90’s?

If she’s trying to be a republican then she needs to dye herself like a woman dies her hair. Her Liberal roots are still showing!

And as far as Wesley Clark is concerned, he owes his success to Gen. McPeak, probably the absolute worst Chief of Staff the Joint CHiefs could have had, and who appointed him? Wasn’t that Clinton ? Another attempt by the Democrats to run our military down! Oh, I forgot! Hillary and Chelsea landed where under fire? And Obama hasn’t served a day in the military. That somehow makes the Democrats experts in foreign and military affairs?

Comment by Mike Malone

Good Morning Audra,

Patti Ann is doing great filling in for Alisyn. No one subs for Aly better!
Smart, funny, charming, drop dead gorgeous. So much in common with Alisyn!

Alisyn has done Red Eye a few times before she was not surprised by the nature of the show.
I did record Alisyn’s appearance from Friday night, but haven’t had time to edit and post any video yet.

Audra, tell PAB “Malone says HI!” :)

As for the 80s week, all I have to say is “I Want my MTV!”

Suzy, Suzy, Suzy…………….

“John McCain’s 5 1/2 years of captivity in North Vietnam were divided into two phases. Early on, this son and grandson of high-ranking Naval officers was accorded relatively privileged status. Then he refused early release–which he saw as a public relations stunt by his captors–insisting that POWs held longer than him should be granted their freedom first. Thereafter, McCain was treated much more severely, but he also had an opportunity to bond with his fellow prisoners. Those experiences strengthened his resolve and eased his transition back into civilian life.”

Nothing the New York Times does surprises me! Somehow, I doubt if Obama will condemn this breach of national security.
By the way, Suzy has me really confused too. Maybe it’s just too early on Monday morning for such “logic” ??????!

Good Morning Pat! How are you on this Monday?

Malone - Hurry up and get that Red Eye video ready for those of us that have to sleep at that time of the morning!

Did anyone catch the news story on Drudge about the big wig in Saudi Arabia telling everyone to boycott the US Dollar? Our “friends” are not helping the price of oil very much are they….

Comment by Larry Hill

I would like for someone to tell me what is meant by the experience factor for president. I can not think of any job that allows direct experience for the office of the President of The United States of America.

Please identify those traits in Bill Clinton and the current George Bush. I served in a combat zone and found it to be 360 days of terror. I never thought the experience would put me on a short list for the highest job in the U. S.

Larry

Comment by Jim

MY ASS HAS NO SOUND TOO. LOL.

Comment by marshall g.

suzy,
did you major in revisionist history?

Comment by Jim

Experience factor? Ask “The Factor”. My take on it would be that it mean experience in making decision on a wide range of issues. Of course then you have to take a look at whether they were good or bad decisions and then if they were bad decisions, how they dealt with those bad decisions.

Makes my choice pretty clear cut.

Comment by Audra

Yes, I do love working at Fox and I enjoy the time I get to spend blogging!

Comment by Jim

John McCain served his country proudly. That’s all that matters. His military “experience” helped shaped the man he is today.

I like that revisionist suzy comment.. I had to scroll so far up to see her original comment.

Megyn Kelly.. My goodness women.. forget the ASS i’m watching America’s newsroom.. i’ll catch the webpost of the ASS later when they finally put it up.

I always start my day with Fox & Friends and I am always very disappointed when Alisyn takes time off even when I like those that fill in for her. Not sure when I first started following her blog. Some story and her mention of the blog caught my attention, but not sure what it was now. lol

It is really great that we can watch someone report the news and then sorta speak directly to them when we are not on their ignore list!
