We're catholic too.. our 28 year boy is autistic as well and very loud and disruptive. He never stops talking. We never get anything out of church when we take him there. But once, I was so insulted when he was told to leave a religious education program at a methodist church that was for developmentally disabled adults.. told to leave without a discussion. It's something that still hurts when I think about it. Churches really can't handle this. No one can. Generally we don't go to church. We never take him. When our daughter gets married some day..., she wants him in the wedding party but we don't really know how we'll handle it.. not easy. Autism and Church..
