Alisyn in the Greenroom

Open Blog Friday

Good morning Everyone.  I’m back from a lovely day away from work spent grocery shopping and running errands.  Sheer glamour, in other words, but wonderfully relaxing nontheless.  Here are a few topics for us to bat around today In the Greenroom:

– Steve’s interview with President Bush

– Bill Moyer’s interview with Rev. Wright

– What should happen with all the children taken from the polygamous sect?

Welcome back Kid-o and happy Friday,

Steve did such a great job! He should be proud.. When they were announced and came walking out together Steve look just like a visiting dignitary.. Maybe the President of Norway?? Good job Steve!!!!!!

Moyer interview with Rev. Wright,,,,, I think they paid Moyers to read from cue cards provided by the Rev.. People can see what a sham that was.. It wasn’t an interview rather a frosting job for the Rev.. Pitiful, simply pitiful!!!!!!!!!!

The children from the Polygamous for certain need to be protected at any cost.. I’m not there and don’t know all that is known and happening but if it’s bad those children need a chance to have a normal life..As I said I’m not very informed with what the true facts are there but it needs to be fair.
Children need their parents but then to parents need to qualify to BE A PARENT.. If what we hear is true what a shame these children have had to live with..
Will@Ca

Again, tell Steve,,,,,”Top Job, well done,, Duce!!!!”

Moyer’s interview with Wright was nothing more than a joke.
Any first year journalism student can throw softball questions.
Wright should be put under some serious heat for the things he’s said.
O’Reilly should send Jesse Waters after him.

The movie is Wait Until Dark with Audrey Hepburn

it will be interesting to see the dna results from the polygamous compound-
I’m betting 12 men will be linked to hundred’s of kids-
just like the nba-

obama’s statement about people turning to religion and guns in times of dispair-
he may have heard that from rev. wright, preaching about his own congregation-

hasn’t the democratic primary race been a hoot-
she reminds me of elaine in seinfeld, when she hears something she doesn’t like, she shoves
jerry and says “get out of here”-

Ms. Alisyn,
I am curious as to the hype and coverage news media is making over the compound in Texas over young girls having children.
Although I do not condone it by any means, it’s just that outside of the compound in any community, in any city, you have young girls having babies out of wedlock, and very little is said about that.
No one speaks about how parents prostitute their children for drugs, money etc, etc.
Why is this such news? Is it because it has to do with religion? Has it to do with their beliefs? If so, would it get as much publicity if it were, let’s say “Arabs”? What about Muslims who have several wives? Or is it that this group has no militant agenda so “it’s news”?

I’m just curious about an answer, any ideas?

Have a great day.

First, I love Fox and Friends. I’m a news junkie and y’all make it such a fun way to start the day. I start the day with smile, while listening to you. Thank you for that.

I’d love to see “The Dooce’s” full conversation with the President. I expect it will show a fun, personable side to the President that we don’t get to see very often. How can you not have fun with Steve?

Finally, Alyson, I thoroughly enjoy you as well. It feels like friends chatting when you are on Fox and Friends First. Thanks.

Good Morning Alisyn,

Did you buy any groceries for me????

It’s a fine line to know what to do with these children. I have my own opinion, but it’s a question of legality. The mothers have a right to be with their children, but at what point do you call it child abuse. And, what’s happening with these men that raped these young girls? I never here about them? I have my own opinions about what we should do with them too, but I can’t say it here!

Every child needs their mother, but WOW……this is a tough one. Most of the women I’ve seen interviewed so far, seem to be unemotional and somewhat “lost” for lack of a better term. Probably not the best enviroment for any child. I haven’t seen one woman cry yet! Hmmmmmm….strange!

I think Steve has found a new friend. Just wondering when Steve and the President’s next play date is going to be.

As for the Rev. Wright cituation, it amazes me how the media as well as a political figure (running for President) can stand by such a person who talks more about hate. This is creating more separation than ever before. How does anyone see this uniting this country? And when medias such as Fox News confronts these people with harder questions they don’t even give an answer. Why is this acceptable? If this was the Republicans, the Democrats would be yelling and screaming that this wasn’t right. Politics really suck.

The children taken from the polygamous I feel was a good thing. Who in their right mind would take a young 13 year old girl and make her marry and have children at such a young age? This is abuse and the mothers should also take some responsibility for these actions as well. Very unsettling!!!!

I don’t like government sticking its nose into anything, but you can’t set up shop somewhere and pretend you don’t have to follow the law. Marrying off 13 or 14 year olds to old men is wrong, and if that is what was going on, they should all be prosecuted.

Alisyn, any chance the Hooter girl will lend you her outfit for future news casts?? Talk about ratings!!!!!

Anyone who wishes to read about the type of adviser’s Obama has regarding Nuclear proliferation should read this article:

Obama’s Radioactive Potato
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/blogs/index.php/schoenfeld/3547

According to the article Obama’s Nuclear advisor considered reports that Syria and North Korea were building a Nuclear reactor in the NYT and the Washington posts essentially another Zionist influenced Conspiracy this seems to be a common theme among Obama advisor’s from Avery to Reverend Wright.

QUOTE: To Cirincione, writing on the blog of Foreign Policy Magazine, the stories surrounding surrounding the Israeli strike, namely that North Korea was building a Yongbyong-type plutonium reactor not far from the Euphrates River, was nothing more than a lie. It was a reprise, wrote Cirincione, of the way in which administration officials “misled the press” in the run-up to the second Gulf war.

Dear Alisyn…something is on my mind. The North Carolina GOP tele-ad seems to me the type of ad Democrats would run. I am not familiar with the two Dem’s identified in the ad, but it seems a stretch to me to equate them with Rev. Wright.

I don’t see the parallel with Obama’s relationship with the controversial pastor and the Dem’s in NC running for political office.

If its an honest comparison…wouldn’t Rev. Wright’s beliefs then be tied to any Democrat? I don’t think so.

I would be interested in your comment(s).

Good morning to you!
So glad to hear you had some time off to spend being with the babies. What did you get to cook too?
As for the Steve’s interview I sure hope you will put it up on TOP Video or something so I can watch it,
I would like to see the Rev. Write interview also, I will keep my on on the site for them both.

I think that sending those children in the this countries child care system is only going to “foster” more problems for them in the long run! they have been programed to be dependant on each other in a world that we do not understand, but that is all they know! I pray they (CPS) find away to keep as many of the children safe & together or we may never get to the point they feel comfortable to enough to talk about what may have been happening to them. pray for them babies.

TGIF,

There seems to be a tide of opinion moving toward returning the children. I am oppposed to that at this point, which child do you choose to go back first into a world where everyone turned their back on albeit a few girls (that we know of now) and allowed them to become spiritually married to older men. Adults are supposed to care for and protect the younger and more vulnerable of our society, even if it’s one child that is being abused, all of the adults in that compund turned their backs and are guilty of failure to render aid. Most of those kids will eventually be returned to there parents, and if this event in there lives (parents included) changes their behavior and brings about the reality that you cannot go behind tall walls and do whatever you want then it’s all worth it. Anybody has the right to follow whatver religion you want to, but it does not give you the right to disobey the laws of the land.

What I find amazing is that Two Air Force Pilots were killed in a crash at Columbus AFB on Wednesday and there was not a single story on Fox.

Two of our Country’s best are dead and two families are destroyed. These men were defending our freedom by joining our military and in this case, training to be the best pilots in the world.

May God welcome them to his community and let’s all pray for the families.

why didnt Pastor Wright do an interview with Fox News,
or Sean Hannity or Bill Oreilly the people he insulted and he needs to apologize to the people of the United States of America,
Pastor Wright made racist and anti American remarks, and then says that we didnt see all of it, why would we want to see more, we know how he thinks, there nothing else to say, he didnt apologize for what he said, and Obama and pastor Wright think the same, and the American people can see this.

Hi Alisyn,

First, thanks for making the beginning of my day so pleasant. I really enjoy Fox and Friends!

I thoroughly enjoyed Steve’s interview with the President. They are both such personable people. It is no surprise that the interview was fun, informative and quick-witted. It is very evident to me that President Bush is very passionate about the troops and the honor he feels being their Co. in Chief. (As the wife of an Iraq War Veteran, this means the world to me.)

Steve’s interview with the President was amazing. It was great to see such a personal side of the President and to see how humble and down to earth he is. My favorite part was how he addressed the possibilities of a wedding invitation. The best question was how he is going to handle just walking his daughter down the isle and then having a seat. Very powerful stuff!

Ditto to Paul (above)! I also have been wondering why there has been absolutely no mention on the national news of the crash that took the lives of 2 fine Air Force pilots from Columbus Air Force Base. I have seen alot of what I would call “frivolous” news; but not a mention (not even on the scroll) of the deaths of these pilots. It can’t help but make one wonder who chooses the topics that are “news”. I know there’s lots to try to cover in a day’s time, but this story seems like one that should have at least been acknowledged.

Everyone but Bill Moyers knows he’s a left wing nut who only tosses softballs to the weirdos he interviews. I used to think that i’d rather have Obama in the whitehouse than another Clinton, not now since his reverend of 20 years spewed out the hate in just one serman(that we’ve heard) It must be how Obama and his wife believe also or maybe we should just take him at his word that none of the hate sunk in him or his wife.( yeah right after 20 yrs.)

Awfully wet here in Eastern Iowa today. Did you hear about the pizza driver here that rescued 4 kids in a submerged car. He’s a real hero. One kid was under for over 7 minutes before they got him out. All are o.k. either in the hosptial or at home.

Will in CA and all the other Reverand Wright haters,

Have you seen the whole sermons? I have, they are not that bad. They point out that many Americans claim to be Christians, and yet we do some of the most un-Chirst like things. I go to Rick Warren’s church Saddleback. I guarantee I could pull out a item here and there from his sermons thast would make it look like he hates Baseball, or Apple Pie, or something. Is it wrong to point out that many of us Christians are very un-christlike? I hope not. I need to hear that daily to keep me in line.

By the way I am proud of McCain and his take on the ad in NC. That is why you have my vote, you actualy have integrity and class.

Excellent job Steve! Someone mentioned all the kids in the USA having babies, the question is, how many in the compound are having babies by a blood relative. you have that many people in one little area sleeping with everybody else, blood lines have to cross somewhere. The ladies during their interview, appeared like robots. Like reading from a Q card. No, those children should not go back into that inviroment

Alisyn,
Concerning The wright interview, when He (Rev. Wright) stated during the interview, that His statements were taken out of context and twisted for political gain. This is about as much Baloney as I’ve ever heard…….The sermons in their entirity can be heard with a little effort, and I’ve heard enough to know that what Rev Wright stated was exactly, what the media said it was….What he said about being taken out of context is a blatant lie.
What He said, during his sermons, should have never been spoken from a pulpit, and then to lie about what he said in order to further Obamas campaign, speaks volumes,in association with the Scripture that states….In the end times there will be deceivers
The fact that Obama listened to this stuff for 20Yrs,and still refers to Wright as His mentor, speaks volumes as to the type of change we would see ,if he should end up on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The fact that the relationships that Obama has had and that have been exposed, such as Ayers etc.speaks volumes to the fact that during those twenty yrs,He was listening to The Rev,pretty close, because they portray Wrights views…..I hope the people of North Carolina and Indiana, have their homework done before they go to the Polls…….I’m Independent and will have nothing to do with either of the candidates the left has to offer, especially Obama……to deceitful for me….and Hillary is just plain disgusting
Its time for the Democrats to realize that its not the Party that we vote for,but the people within the Party…..and to me none of these are worth going to the Polls for

while not fully informed about the sect children…seems to me that the boys are not in any danger at this time so let them return. keep the girls until we know the absolute truth.
for me..wrights comments need no clarification..he said what he feels. i believe obama feels much the same way and if elected will govern in such a way as to right what he views as a host of wrongs..no matter who he hurts along the way.
while our government is far from perfect..i believe its the most truthful on earth..yes they hold things back and sometimes should. i just dont believe they put the public in harms way on purpose. all governments deserve some criticism…but some in this country go way to far to further a point.
may the whole f/f crew have a great weekend

I have a question regarding Greta discussing Rev. Wright tonight on her show 4/25/08.

Why did they have a UK person on the show. What do we care about what a UK person thinks about the U.S. and Rev. Wright and Obama?

on another note…..they obviously allowed some of their troops to come home and didn’t care about staying in the war to help support the US, so why do we care what they think about a small situation regarding Rev. Wright and Obama!!!!!!

How rude of you to even think that we care about a UK person expressing what they think……

Saturday morning reading the friday blog late:
I noted several who want to give the Texas kids back to the mothers…but they fail to recognize that the mothers had a hand in this. Any woman, mother who would allow and condone the rape of an eleven year old child by ANYONE should be jailed and stripped of parental rights. There was a story last week in the news about a county sherif that pimped out his female inmates, perhaps this would be the proper jail for these godless women. Perhaps in a perfect world, but in a perfect world hedoistic cluts would not exist that operate disguised as religious communes.

Some years ago i actually read the Morman Bible. Found it quite interesting. The history is plausable. As i understand their law, anyman who lives as a morman can rise to be president of his ward, and eventually president of the church. As president of the church, he is recognized as profit. And as a profit, his word is taken to have all the devine power of any writings of the church. So, it the Morman bible says on wednesday, every morman will drive only red cars, but the profit says, nope…from now on, its gonna be saturday, then all the mormans will be driving red cars on saturday and the morman bible will be changed in the next addition.

That is why there are so many differnt sects within the church. Some accept the words of the profit and some dont.

The mormans believe that the president of the church. aka the profit, when he dies can not only sit at the right hand of god, but actually become the next god.

Comment by Paul

It’s sad to think that if the two Air Force pilots killed this week in the T38 crash at Columbus had been killed by a shark it would be news. The fact that they were serving in our military, training to protect us and died in the process was not, however news worthy to Fox.

Well so much for support our troops…it’s only important when it relates to ratings I guess at Fox but at least they had time to put Hooters Girls on.

I hope the people in North Carolina and Indiana do the same as the people in Pennsylvania, remember that Clinton won Florida and Michigan they have to do something about those two States, the people took the time out of their day to vote there was other issues on the ballet that day, did they count? and remember Obama pulled his name off the ballet in Michigan, remember Obama insulted every Nationality in America with that typical white people comment and the small town America remarks, and with his anti American associates, Ayers,Rezko, Farraakhan,Wright, and now Hamas has endorsed Obama, what is going on here, and Carter met with Hamas, are these the kind of people you want going in and out of the White House, and if anyone is destroying the Democratic party its Obama not Clinton.

Reference the atheist soldier — speaking from a military leader’s perspective (I am a battalion commander about to deploy to Iraq) you didn’t ask the right questions:

a. If the group of atheist soldiers were gathering together to specifically try to stop/develop a plan to try to block other religious services; then the Major did the right thing. The commander of any unit has a duty to provide for all aspects of a soldier’s needs to include morale and spiritual needs. Many other groups have tried to use separation of church and state to remove Chaplains from the military but to date courts have upheld the Army’s right to keep chaplains. Again, if this atheist group was going to try an action like this, then that should be considered an act that would disrupt the good order and discipline of the unit because they are trying to deny other soldiers their right to have access to/practice of their religion. Let’s be honest — you’re not going to find many christian churches in Iraq. Could you imagine the morale of the religious soldiers if they knew this specialist might be trying to deny them access to religious practice? Do you think those soldiers would continue to watch this specialist’s back when on patrol?

b. On the other hand, if all the group wanted to do was get together and share their ideas amongst themselves, then the Major was probably wrong. Though I wouldn’t call atheism a religion, it is a philosophy and they should not be denied the ability to meet as long as they don’t have an agenda that would upset the good order and discipline of a unit.

You didn’t really ask the hard question and try to determine what the purpose of the group was going to be. The young specialist talked in typical legalistic plattitudes that any lawyer or politician would use to garner support and sympathy.

Thanks,
CLL

The DNC has destroyed the Democratic Party. I do hope the Democratic Party has learned their lesson to not let anyone run for the presidency as a Democrat without being fully vetted. If the Press had been more responsible and exposed Obama earlier he would NEVER have won as many states as he did. Most likely, John Edwards would have won.

The media suppressed the information for months and let voters be deceived. They attacked Hillary and puffed up Obama trying to run this election. Voters deserved to be informed of Obama’s associations with radical, Anti American, racist, white hating, criminals and terrorists. It goes to the man’s judgment of who he chooses to be in the company with. He has told too many lies about too many issues.

We are the 50 United States of America — not 48! The citizens of Florida and Michigan should be counted.

NO TO OBAMA!

Pelosi, Dean, Reid, Kerry, Kennedy, Leahy and Richardson are all “HAS BEENS”. Their political careers have been placed on the line by their ignorance in backing a freshman senator with zero to no world experience; who has a 17-20 year history with his personal mentor who is a radical racist, bigot pastor; and has ties with guys named Ayers, Rezko and Farrakhan.

Obama is too “green” behind the ears to succeed as the President of 2008 issues. He has NO strategic plans to address this nation and world’s problems. In Fact, his policies now reflect the Hillary Clinton policies….how peculiar.

Just like his “second hand’ speeches…he cannot think for himself. HE REFUSES TO DEBATE IN INDIANA AND NC BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO READ HIS PRETTY SCRIPTED SPEECHES FROM A TELEPROMPTER! AMERICANS WANT TO HEAR HIM!

First he acts two-faced with no integrity re: Rev. Wright (or is it Wrong????) then he steals like a thief just to get elected. WE HAVE 50 STATES — NOT 48.

Americans should not stand back silently. Silence is acceptance. I refuse to do this blindly and with just plain “HOPE” that it will be alright.

THE QUESTION IS: WHO IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA?

THE ANSWER IS: NOBODY KNOWS!

Hillary all the way!!

We catch it from both sides of the phone line, from the officers and the public. The hours are terrible, the respect for the job is completely lacking, and the health of the people sitting behind the headset is constantly in question. Stress is a killer and I think you should do a story on the real life of a dispatcher. I have been doing this job for 14 years, and when I first started I came in right out of the military, in excellent health, now I suffer from a mirad of problems. I do this job because I want to help people and make a difference, if I can go home at night, knowing I have gotten all my officers safely home to their families, and no one has been hurt, I consider it a good day. But try and deal with the drowning of an entire family, from a missed turn into a pond, the attempted abduction of a 7 year old child, the cries for help from a woman being beaten by her drunk boyfriend. This job is not for everyone, and you ask any officer if they would do this, they will “Flatly” tell you NO. Do a story of the GOOD that we do, then check the general health of the people who are the first line of defense, you’ll see we all are here because we CARE. Thanks for listening: Ronald G. Comment by HEY (WRIGHT and all your sympathizers).... I'm really TIRED of apologizing for Slavery and prior racist garbage!!! ENOUGH already!

ALL “WRIGHT/OBAMA” SYMPATHIZERS, (+90% Blacks and +50% apologetic Whites) read on…

I would love to hear how Obama and his wife reconciled with having their children grow up listening to (Wright) every week. Children clearly do not possess the BS filtering tools that reasonable non-racist adults do.

Did Barack and his wife de-brainwash their children Monday through Saturday each week???
Only to subject them to the racist extremist garbage every Sunday, FOR 20 YEARS!!!

Boy I would love to know the answer to that…

WHY DID OBAMA AND MICHELLE ALLOW THEIR CHILDREN TO BE SUBJECTED TO THAT WACKO EXTREMISTs’ (Wright) RACIST HATRED LIES- EVERY SUNDAY??

Obama is clearly not being genuine in his wavering responses regarding what was and was not heard at his so-called “church”…

Now that says something about Obama and his thinking…

Also he should be asked the following:

Why does he (Obama) get like +90% of the BLACK vote?
What segment of American society is REALLY RACIST with that statistic?

The NON_BLACK vote is clearly NOT race focused, thats a FACT!!!

Cmon you WRIGHT SYMPATHIZERS!!!! You are perpetuating the devisive garbage that the Wright guy (Reverend-”NOT”), used to line his pockets and support a lifestyle he probably couldnt earn in the real world.

The FACT IS that Wright “preaches” very negative extremist views, hes a racist, a spreader of hatred & unpatriotic Anti-American warped stories and wacko theories.

Watching his remarks, his cartoonish use of sarcastic voice tones and body & hand gesturing, left me shaking my head and laughing my butt off, this guy is a NUT….plain and simple.

And you know what really scares me…. Obama was closely aligned with this NutJob, for 20 some years…. Obama is in so deep…. so deep…so deep!!!

I personally am insulted by Obamas’ obvious lying about not really being aware of Wrights extreme Anti-American diatrabs, (oh sorry, …. preachings) lol, lol.

If Wright were the “Preacher of my Church” , I would have been embarrassed and ran as fast as possible from that place (Church… lol)…., the first TIME I ever heard any of that garbage.

Cmon BLACKs and apologetic Whites, show us youre really thinking and not RACIST, vote HILLARY!!!
