Someplace in your programing regarding the price of gasoline, A couple of comments might be indicated to remind the viewers that we have traditionally paid less per gallon of gas than the rest of the industrialized nations.( A U.S. gallon is less than a European gallon ) A review of the price of a U.S. gallon of gas in Germany, France, England and others might be enlightening. It wouldn’t stop the pain but it might help.

In response to Bill Maher’s recent comments about the Pope and remarks made concerning Christians in the past, we took action.. We cancelled HBO because they did nothing to malign him for his statement. I believe Bill Maher’s freedom ends, where my freedom begins. HBO should have been proactive rather than waiting for their phones to ring. There has been a long history of Catholic and Christian bashing. Agreed, he has the right to free speech however, when he personalizes his comments he is stepping over the line. HBO should have addressed his egregious behavior when it happened. Bill’s attempted apology didn’t even come close to resembling one. It doesn’t seem equitable Imus was fired for insulting 12 African-American women while Maher’s are over looked.

Don’t you people realize that in our society it is perfectly acceptable to belittle, deride, insult, and outright slander anyone who is a creationist, and intelligent design proponent, or who believes in the true, historical Jesus Christ? (the Jesus Christ of the New Testament) But….don’t you DARE even THINK about questioning Darwinism or the atheists who promote it as an “absolute, proven fact.” That HAS gotten people fired!

No Bill ought to be made to make equally insulting comments regarding the Muslim community. Christians and in particular Roman Catholics, are getting a bit tired of being the easy targets for cowards like this guy. He knows if he should say something derogatory about the Muslim faith or community, that while these are typically wonderful and peaceful people ,he wouldn’t risk the chance of finding some radical Muslim group out there who would be delighted to torch his friggin’ house.

Bill is a clown. A buffoon. He should not be too penalized, because only in America can clowns get anywhere. Why in the state of New York, they make clowns senators. Why even the state of Illinois makes clowns senators, while Tennessee makes buffoons who win peace prizes and the state of Arkansas gives us buffoons who become presidents. So, if we leave this Bill Maher clown alone long enough, why he might become our future president! Only in America, of course!

What if he had made those comments about a minority (i.e.nappy haired issue). He would have been in huge trouble. I am so tired of the “silent majority” being silent. I am not catholic, but what he said was horrible and offended me. Also I want to say Merry Christmas, One Nation Under God, and I want to pray in public. Why aren’t my rights being protected?
