Good morning everyone. Happy Monday. I’ll be hosting from 6am – 9am (edt) this morning (Gretchen’s on vacation), so it’ll be tough for me to blog or respond during the show but I’ll check in afterward. Let me know what you think of today’s show and some of the things that grab your attention.

Alisyn you looked younger or more refreshed on the weekend Fox & Friends was there a different make up person working on you or did you get something done that you might need that book “Mommy’s Got a New Face” Or maybe I still had some alcohol in my system from the night before. Jaxson
Enough with the pope already. I had to quit watching all Fox news last week because it had become popalooza. Everything pope. believe it or not everyone is not interested in the pope. Some coverage on his visit is good. But all the time? By the way, Chesterfield Highschool is not in columbia, sc. Trust me. I live in SC
Otherwise, I love you guys and am an otherwise faithful viewer from early in the morning until night.
Good Morning Ms. Alisyn,
You did a wonderful job this weekend, it’s too bad I will only get to see the AtSS until I get home this evening.
I think they should give you more time for the blog updates in addition to more money. No matter what they pay you, you are under paid by half at least.
Hope you lucky people that get to watch the show enjoy 3 hours of Alisyn this week.
Have a great week Ms. Alisyn

Lets get off the pope thing. Im tired of him. whats so important about him to me?
Good morning Alisyn, I have a suggestion that I would like to share, why don’t you have a reply to this post under everyones post so that we could communicate with each other when you are doing the show. Just an idea.
Your Comments about CNN reporter:
I understand you said he had meth and a rope was tied around his neck and around his …. …. …. “Mr. Happy”, and a marital device was found in his….
1) BOOT?
2) BOOTE?
Inquiring minds want to know
Good Morning,
Alisyn I watched the POPE this weekend and the mass on saturday and sunday was so good the POPE made you feel like you were there, Im glad the POPE came to America we needed him here, plus the rest of the people can see what a Catholic mass is like, and its the same in any Catholic church.

The story about Bill Maher grabbed my attention.
He spews more hatred for people of faith than anyone else in the country.
I look forward to hearing about him being handed his pink slip.
Is it true that an Obama Delegate was arrested making phony calls claiming sexual abuse at a LDS compound in Colorado Springs and in Eldorado TX?
Will someone please tell me where Obama’s step-siblings and mother are now. Also, did he always have a speech impediment (stuttering)?
Why is Steve keep harping on about Bill Maher’s joke.? So what! It’s true! The Pope was a member of Hilter’s youth and his father a member of the Nazi party.
hi, My husband and me have been with you since your first day on fox news. we are greaat fans and tried to get you to keep your hands down by yelling at the tv!! congradulations for keeping up the great work. we really like you. donna hankins
Hello,
Just wanted to say that I have been a big fan of yours since 2002 (when I got cable tv) and when you were out on the road- mostly in Boston I remember then they were smart and brought you into the studio!
You are a great reporter and anchor- thanks!
Oh and I’m from Melbourne AUSTRALIA! So its the end of my day here!
Hi Guys. Say is the Rositta / Texas child Sex Scandal going anywhere? Which Way are you planning to spin the story. I nioticed Obama was linked into the story I think that was clever. I word of Advice try not to look so worried and confussed and when your about to spin a story that might give your tricks away.
I think the world nos exactly what you are about as an organisation and we are facinated watching Fox and we keep you as close to us as possible.
Spin the storie please.. dont let us Down

Please post reply on how to drop just HBO on cable related to Bill Maher. Do we just simply call and say “drop all HBO channels”, or just drop all pay channels? Great job on show. Thanks. Mike Crowe
Alisyn,
Gretchen is good, but I’d sooner have you there the extra hours.
I was curious if you or the bloggers would be interested or have any comments in this online comment to our local paper’s website: http://www.pressconnects.com

“My visit this morning to Ground Zero will remain firmly etched in my memory, as I continue to pray for those who died and for all who suffer in consequence of the tragedy that occurred there in 2001,” Benedict said.
9/11 will always be remembered as an unforgettable, senseless tragedy. It will forever be viewed by history as a cowardly and unforgiveable act by a few extremists. My heart and prayers and those of America continue to go out to those that loss their lives and to their survivors.
In the above quote by Pope Benedict he states he will continue to pray for all who suffer in consequence of the 2001 tragedy. Well due to the decisions of the present administration the numbers of sufferers continues to grow. Due to G.W. Bush, who is ultimately the one to have made the final decision, more have perished senselessly. While nearly 3,000 were killed on American soil on 9/11, the consequences of the 2001 tragedy, as Benedict stated, are far greater and have not yet ended. This administration must be held mentally accountably for causing the death of 4,000+ of our nations bravest armed forces. Along with the staggering number of innocent men, woman and children in Irag, by many estimations running in the hundred’s of thousands.
Yes Pope Benedict, pray for all those suffering in the consequences of 9/11. And may God forgive our enemies and our President for their acts and decisions.

Good Morning back to you. I hope you will get my message & e-mail me anytime after the show. I sent an e-mail (comment) on the 16th & 19th. I’ve heard you say if you know anyone having a birthday send us their picture & tell us about them & we’ll show it. My daughter will be 30 on Tuesday, 4/22 & is real excited. Don’t think she will be so excited when the 40, 50, or 60 one’s rolls around, plus I won’t be around to see it by then. I can only e-mail you through my regular e-mail (yahoo). I can’t e-mail through your outlook express. My question is, if I e-mail you at friends@foxandnews.com & attach her picture can you show it? I love the show. I try & watch at least the 1st hour, but I am going to have to go to bed now since I have a Dr. appt. right after lunch.
Please e-mail me at scmajors@yahoo.com anytime during today & give me an answer. I will wait & send it tonight just for the heck of it even if I don’t get a response. Also, not trying to butter you up, but you are so attractive & I can’t believe you have 3 children under the age of 3. Sounds like my Dr. She also has twins, plus one. I like Doocey on the O’reilly show on Tuesday nights when he does the question part of the show. Good night now. I’m not real fancy when it comes to computer stuff, & the only way I would know how to send her picture is to attach it to a regular
e-mail through yahoo.There is no attach here, & no attach on the Outlook Express website.
Any help you can give me I’d appreciate. My daughter’s name is Elizabeth.
Sincerely,
Sandra
I think tomorrow’s primary will be one of the most interesting to watch yet. The Fox program last night with Frank Luntz was very interesting. A lot of people do not have a clue about the issues or their candidates belief system, but they pick a person and stick with them based upon something rather superficial.
alisyn, you are a large part of why i watch the morning show.. i have to say, i was pretty much glued to the tv during the coverage of whatever the pope was doing.. even though i am not catholic, and dont consider myself particularly religious, i feel that i am a spiritual person, and i was very very moved and almost in awe at pope benedicts energy and vitality, and his eagerness to meet with the sex abuse victims… i found the mass he did at st patricks cathedral in the city very very moving, and then the papal mass in yankee stadium was even more moving… it has inspired me to try and be more faithful in my life and the things i do. i especially enjoyed the fact that he made a point of meeting with the 9-11 families and found it really moving when he knelt at the altar erected at ground zero… anyway, my hats off to shep and lauren green for yesterdays coverage… looking forward to a great week with you , steve and greg to help lift my spirits… thanks, and take care…
laura
Any delay or shortage of blogging today is a small price to pay for our getting to enjoy your getting to host the whole 7-9 show!
I can think of no better reason to turn the TV to F&F and not pick up the remote for the rest of the show, than wall to wall Alisyn!
Hey Alisyn! Just gotta say that I’m a fairly new fan of Fox & Friends. You are my favorite news gal on the show, but I love you guys all equally lol.
Anyway, the whole Bill Maher thing just “irritates” me to pieces. I appreciate the link you guys provided on how to sign a petition to have him fired and for the coverage of his offensive remarks. Not a person for half-heartedly apologies coming from a man that stirs the pot anytime he can grab hold of something that will cause controversy.
Blah, venting done.
Going back to watch the show.
By the way, there is a facebook community that is talking a lot more about Bill Maher’s comments about the Pope here —–> here.
The people in Pennsylvania need to take a good look at Obama and his anti American associates, like Ayers a known terrorist, Rezko on trial for corruption charges, Farrakhan muslim leader, pastor Wright his Mentor, and now Hamas has endorsed Obama, are those the kind of people you want going in and out of the White House, what kind of change is he talking about, think about it, who is Obama?
It is a shame when people in America have to apoligize for speaking the truth.
I am not a fan of Bill Maier, (don’t even know how to spell his name), but get real. If people can sit and talk about the appearance of these polygamist people in Texas, when the real issue is about children being molested and raped, then what is wrong with Bill’s comment about the Pope? It is true, 100% true what he said. What the priests can molest children and the pope let it go on, and there is no punishment to him but anyone else can be improisoned for it? No wonder our nation is falling apart. We have right for wrong and wrong for right. Well, in all truth, you know that people who bow and worship a “man” don’t have their heads on right anyways.
Mike… there is a press release to help those who want to take action against Bill Maher (i.e. cancelling HBO) on the firebillmaher.com website. Surely they’ll eventually cancel his show, so you may not have to cancel your HBO subscription.
What I have noticed Alisyn and everyone who watches F@F will back me up is that you are an articulate, intelligent and personable host. You have been the favorite of Fox and Friends viewers since the first day you appeared on the show. it is not Fox and Friends without Alisyn Camerota.
You have brought to the show humor, energy and a sense of continuity that you do not see in the Network shows or your competition. I hope one day that management understands what a talented and valuable asset you are for Fox News and rewards you appropriately .
Btw you are also quite a stunning beauty.
Morning Beautiful. This is the week where you get to showcase your stuff. I could really get used to it and I hope the brass agree.
On another note, stop with Bill Maher. He is an idiot and his brain is cleary not connected to his mouth, however, Steve sounds like an 8th grader harping on the issue. Ohhhhh, I’m telling the teacher, look what he said. He and Gretchen seem to do this alot whenever another network blunders. It takes away from the credibility of the show.
Now is that God like to wish someone to lose their job? God like is forgiving and loving, and if you believe and have faith thinks will work out on their own.
Alisyn,
I thought all of you did a wonderful job covering the Pope’s visit. My question for today is who paid for Jimmy Carter’s trip to the Middle East if he had no power or wasn’t sent on behalf of the government? I would bet that it was all of us taxpayers. In my view, that was not how I wanted my dollars to be spent. What gives him the right to spend our money that way? Just curious – in these tough times financially, it seems very inconsiderate.
Have a great day and glad to see Greg on the couch!
Love you guys in the morning!! a great way to start my day!
Is anyone out there wondering what i am wondering….WHO WON THE SWEEPSTAKES???
WHO WON THE SWEEPSTAKES?? I have been faithfully entering ….hoping to meet you great people …oh yeh and the great prizes!!!
Bill Mahr can say anything we wants. He can express his opinon, that’s what HBO pays him to do.
GOD help this country if we silence speech we don’t agree with.
If the church is strong and righteous no comment by anyone will affect it.
The Pope needs to keep his BIG BOY panties on and so does Doocy!
Bill Maher must think he is cute, his butt should be fired right now. For bad remarks Bill Maher puts all other bad remarks to shame, Who does he think he is. By the way, you guys do a really great job. Watch you every morning (and day and evening)
Alisyn:
You have photos of many famous people you’ve met in the green room. Who is your favority person that you met and why?
I am astounded about the diabetes story that was done just about 20 or so minuets ago! How amazing that having a procedure like your stomach being stapled can cure (could we say) diabetes! Just amazing- great story!
Hi – On today’s show when you were discussing the negative attacks between Obama and Clinton, Steve Doocy incorrectly reported that Barack Obama takes money from lobbyists. Politifact.com has stated that this is not true. Look at their site and their truth-o-meter. You both said that both O and C aired negative ads but how could possibly both be true when they contradicted eachother. Well, Politifact.com shows that Obama is much more truthful in his ad than is Clinton. This is your chance to be fair and balanced and I HOPE THAT YOU REPORT THIS ON THE AIR TODAY BEFORE THE PA PRIMARY!
FROM POLITIFACT.com
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/445/
Barack Obama on Thursday, April 17th, 2008 in an online ad.
“Hillary Clinton has taken over $800,000 from lobbyists.”
Barack Obama on Thursday, April 17th, 2008 in an online ad.
If you were wondering how Washington works, an ad from the Barack Obama campaign ostensibly offers a primer – “A Guide to Understanding Washington Lobbyists” — while it attacks Hillary Clinton.
The Web-only ad outlines the following steps with on-screen text:
Step 1: “Lobbyists donate to politicians.”
Step 2: “Politicians defend lobbyists.”
Step 3: “Americans pay the price.”
As part of the first step, the ad states:
“Senator Hillary Clinton has taken over $800,000 from lobbyists, more money than any other candidate — Republican or Democrat:
* Over $130,000 from energy lobbyists
* Over $130,000 from drug company lobbyists
* Over $125,000 from health care and insurance lobbyists.”
We asked the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, which categorizes and analyzes political contributions, whether this text was accurate.
The $800,000 number is correct. A recent analysis by the center showed Clinton has accepted $865,290 from lobbyists, based on data released on March 20, 2008.
The threshold of contributions by industry the ad lists for Clinton is probably too low, said Massie Ritsch, a spokesman for the center.
The center’s analysis found the following amounts that lobbyists gave to Clinton:
* Energy: $442,800
* Pharmaceuticals/health products: $450,450
* Hospitals, health services/HMOs and insurance companies: $552,050
* Health professionals: $114,755.
Based on these numbers, we find Obama’s statement that Clinton has taken more than $800,000 from lobbyists to be True.
Barack Obama is “the only candidate who doesn’t take a dime from oil company PACs or lobbyists.”
Barack Obama on Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 in in a television ad
Obama rejects lobbyist money
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton aired television ads about the oil and gas industry just before the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania.
Obama’s ad asserts, “Obama’s the only candidate who doesn’t take a dime from oil company PACs or lobbyists. And that’s change we can believe in.”
Obama has stated he has a policy of not accepting campaign contributions from political action committees or lobbyists. There’s a bit of fine print on this, however, as we’ve reported previously. Obama does not take money from registered federal lobbyists, but he does take money from state lobbyists, retired lobbyists and spouses of lobbyists.
The nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics has a broad definition of lobbyist money that includes contributions from spouses of lobbyists. By its reckoning, Obama has received $115,163 in money from lobbyists based on data released on March 20, 2008.
We can’t say how much of that comes from contributors connected with oil and gas lobbyists versus other kinds of lobbyists. Many lobbyists represent more than one industry.
It’s worth noting, however, that Obama’s total lags his significantly behind Clinton, who got $865,290, from lobbyists, and John McCain, who got $590,952.
Is it possible that Barack Obama took “a dime” from someone connected to oil and gas lobbyists? Yes. But it looks as if Obama took good-faith measures not to accept money from current lobbyists for any industry, including oil and gas.
For these reasons, we find his statement Mostly True.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/444/
Obama has insulted every Nationality in America,
with that typical white people comment, now small towns in America,
Obama and his anti American associates,
Ayers, Rezko, Farrakhan, pastor Wright, Hamas, has endorsed Obama,
are these the kind of people we want going in and out of the White House,
think about it, [ ask ], who is Obama?
and what kind of change is he talking about?
The issue with Bill Marr. I am not a Catholic but it is getting out of hand the lack of respect for our spiritual leaders. Bill should be fired for his remarks. It is time for all faiths to stand Inmus was fired for less remarks because people took a stand.
You guys do a great Job keep it up
Alisyn,
While watching the discussion regarding Bill Mahre’s statements about the pope it occurred to me that the uproar from those demanding an apology is no different than Muslims who demanded a Dutch newspaper remove a cartoon depiction of Mohammed. The Church complained about the bobble head commercial on the Metro escalator citing lack of respect. Those who are calling for an apology are no different than those who called for the cartoon retraction.
As a sidebar, the guest who stated Jesus started the Catholic church is mistaken. It’s a fact, Jesus never started any religion. He never advocated one religion over another . . . that wasn’t his message!
Thank you!
Shirley M.
mickey Mason – Obama’s mother is dead and his stepsister is a professor at the Univ of Hawaii …
Tom Dunnavant – The Pope as a citizen of a foreign country is NOT required to put his hand over his heart during the playing of the US National Anthem … as the US is NOT his country of citizenship … The bishops & cardinals that you saw at the White House are US Citizens …
Aly – Would you ask Doocy when he’s coming to my house to do the major pruning on my plum tree that broke from Friday’s 6+ inches of snow (that were NOT in his Friday weathercast) ?? I’ve got fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for his reward … IF Doocy won’t do it, you can send Greg Kelly in his place …
John Ratzenberger has a house on one of the islands in the Puget Sound …
bill maher has insulted [ ONE BILLION ] people world wide,
HBO has to do something about this, cancel his show,
or a lot of people will cancel HBO.
I hope the Pope’s visit to NYC and the site of the World Trade Centers will remind Americans that this country is great and would stand to lose a lot more if Obama becomes our next President. I am sad to read someone like Ken’s comments that he blames President Bush for the deaths of our great men and women who have lost their lives to keep America free from the oppresion and abuse of the terrorist who caused the terrible events at Ground Zero.
I am glad to see Greg Kelly is still with the team.
I Think McCain could pick a VP like Elizabeth Dole, Kay Bailey Hutchison. Both are strong Conservatives and strenthen the ticket.
Man.. You Guys are Looosing the plot.. Comeon Guys..Give me more to watch. Where is the attacks and what is the deal with Aly. Say are you a decendent of the Tx Polygamist Cult group you look awfully similar to the Women on the Ranch…
I signed petition to fire Big Mouth Bill Maher and I also cancelled HBO in the event he is not fired. I am not a Catholic however, I am a Christian and I cannot tolerate religious bias and hateful comments about religious people ie; Mitt Romney or religious events. Stand up people for what you believe in, the Muslims do. The average Muslim would not tolerate this type comments if it was said about their leader. So, take a lesson from them and lets stop this attempt to make Christians feel guilty for being Christian.
When did Fox and Friends become the Catholic channel?? I am not Catholic and am really tired of all the attention you are giving to propping up the Catholic church. You have only given one side of the pope’s visit to the US. Why haven’t you interviewed Tom Tancredo about the Pope urging American Catholics to support illegal immigration?
http://www.denverpost.com/ci_8960784?source=rss
That would give more a fair and balanced view of the pope’s visit.
I love Fox and Friends but have been very disappointed in the one sided coverage of the pope, sure share the good things he says but don’t ignore the controversial things that he says as well.
Good Morning…My husband and I are long-time viewers of F&F. I’ve become a news junky because of your “fair and balanced” reporting.
Thank you for giving out the website for Bill Maher. I’ve signed up both of us to have him fired. What he said is dispicable and completely off base. For the sake of a laugh, he really crossed the line. I hope HBO will bow to the people’s will and get him off the air forever. He was too hot for prime time TV and now he’s become an anchor around HBO’s neck.
Keep up the good work. Say hi to Steve, Brian and Gretchen
Allysin:
When do we find out who won the trip to NYC?
Alisyn, I love watching you and Steve on F&F 1st … also when you were on F&F Saturday to cover the Pope’s visit … and today’s bonus 3 hours
Do you have any more photos you could share from the Radio & TV correspondents’ bash? It’s great fun to see you and colleagues! I love the 2 minutes Before the Show sneak peek at 5:58 a.m., the After the Show Show, all your behind the scenes and outside the show pictures! Can you tell I’m a fan???
To answer the question by Tom Dunnavant:
The Pope is not a U.S. citizen … hence he (and other non-citizens) do not (and should not) put the right hand over the heart during the playing of the U.S. Anthem. Non U.S. citizens show respect for the anthem by standing with their hands at their sides in silence.
In the same way, U.S. citizens don’t put their right hand over the heart during the playing of national anthems of other countries, but (should) show respect by standing in silence (not chewing gum, talking, etc!) … sadly, teaching and learning ethical behavior is lacking these days … that may be an understatement!
Here’s an excerpt from the U.S. National Flag Foundation web site:
“When the national anthem is played or sung, citizens should stand at attention and salute at the first note and hold the salute through the last note. The salute is directed to the flag, if displayed, otherwise to the music.
When, on U.S. soil, the national anthem of more than one nation is played, the visitors’ national anthems are played first, and may or may not be followed by our National Anthem. During the visitors’ anthems, all present should stand at attention and face the flags of the nations (or the music, if they are not present). Men not in uniform should remove their hats as well. ”

I love Huckabee!!!!! I do hope that McCain will pick him for the VP running mate! He is so REAL and natural in front of the camera!
Al-
Kick butt today! You’re doing an awesome job!!! Blackhawk Chris
Ally, will you be hosting all 3 hours for the whole week?
Hi Alisyn,
I have been a F&F follower since day one…fan isn’t the right word for a news program…more of an admirer of the philosophy that was the foundation for the show.
Overall I am still happy with F&F and the Fox News program(s) in general. I do wish the people who are in charge of the ‘news’ would allow you to actually spend more than 2 minutes interviewing guests. Just when the questioning gets started, the segment ends. There are so many critical stories that need greater attention than say the repetitive pictures of the tanker imploding.
Last, but definitely not least you, Steve and Greg make a wonderful morning team. I like the fact that you 3 don’t interrupt each other all the time and your ‘flow’ is wonderful. Wouldn’t it be nice if you 3 were there every morning
I tried numerous times to get on the website Fire Bill Maher but I think they (HBO) have the sight partially blocked. The complete site does not come up. I will keep trying to get Bill Maher Fired.
Love Fox & Friends and all the people that make it possible.
Good Morning:
I am so happy that you and Fox elected to cover the Pope’s visit all week. This was just the greatest thing that I could wish for.
I am not able to get out and walk as far as would be needed to be there in person, but Fox’s coverage was far better than I could have been able to see.
I think that you all and Fox should be commended for doing that coverage.
The one thing that I hope that someone will fix is that horrible man saying the things that he did.
Why should someone be able to say those things and still be on the air?
Everyone else that has degraded someone has had to account for their remarks.. To attack someone like the Pope is beyond my comprehension.
Please let Fox know that choosing to spend all that time with coverage of the Pope’s visit certainly was a blessing for me and I am sure that it was for a whole lot of folks.
Thank you and Yea Fox!

Good Morning Alisyn! Fox and Friends has been part of every morning for me for about eight years. I’ve never missed a morning and I think you all are great people. I’d like to comment about the Gastric Bypass issue. My husband and I both are diabetic. We have discussed gastric bypass surgery, but one in 200 have complications from the surgery and the mortality rate stats after 5 years and after 10 years are not discussed by doctors. We have four family members who have had the surgery. Two of the four are now gaining their weight back. When some scientist finds a cure for genetically disposed obesity, that’s when Steve (husband) and I will take a serious look at that option. Not all obesity is caused by overeating. My mother (diabetic & now deceased) would eat 800 calories/day and she gained one pound a month. It’s all documented in her medical file. That doesn’t preclude obese people from personal responsibility, but when you eat correctly with caloric restrictions and portion control, get moderate exercise (walking) and you’re still obese, then there has to be another explanation other than all obese people overeat and are lazy slobs. Also the gastric bypass surgery is not a cure and there are now reports of nutritional deficits associated with gastric bypass surgery. Thanks for bringing this story to us. Thanks for your hard work and dedication. Have a Great Day!
alisyn…. do you know of a way that father jonathan morris can be contacted? he was incredibly awesome during the popes visit, and i really enjoy his contributions to fox news…. thanks, laura.
Meth found on CNN member? So that’s what they’ve been on.
Jan…get off the Pope? You probably haven’t had your coffee this morning??? I assume that would be the case as this was an incredibly naive remark. Catholic or not, this wonderful man is not only leader of the largest religion in the world, he is also head of state of the small country called Vatican City. He bothered to come to the USA, and pray for all of us particularly. As a beneficiary of this blessing, you should be rather awe struck, not complaining about the coverage. The comments of some people should offend you right down to you tippy toes. It certainly speaks to the ignorance of some of our comedians, and definitely reminds us of the bias and ignorance in the land of t.v. news. Love him…dislike him….he certainly deserves the respect of everyone. You definitely need a nap.:) Good morning Alisyn….you always look beautiful…poster definitely is coming off a hang over
:):).
Alisyn
I was excited to see you on the weekend Fox and Friends! I hope Greg didn’t burn you this morning when he spilled his coffee on you. Maybe you should not let him drink his coffee while sitting on the couch. Looking forward to watching the ATSS when I get home.
I am totally stunned by the remarks regarding the Pope. Show me a religion that is not rife with bad guys. Geezzzz!! We are, after all, dealing with “man” and his free will to be really wicked. This priest who is now Pope, was born into a very wicked moment in history, managed to escape against all odds, and has had a remarkable life. It would seem that some are not educated at all, regarding the history of this church, and the very real, brave, things done by both priests and nuns in a very wicked, evil place. I am astonished!! Truly I am. I need another cup of coffee. And these people get to vote. Kind of scary ain’t it.
That would be: comment by ran…just adjusted my print to very large!!!!
~~~ We love you Alisyn Oh yes we do ~~~
This blog ain’t no fun without Alisyn zinging us every other comment!
What happened with that big contest? Did you guys abscond with all that great Mighty Putty??????
Fl Sunshine…ditto!! And, he has the wonderful credential of Governor…so he is definitely tooled and schooled in governing. McCain could do worse for sure. I did not get to vote for him as he had already dropped out of the running. He is a very charming man and has a good sense of humor, a definite plus. It speaks to his humility and that is a very important part of character I think. One has not seen a lot of that in the democratic candidates that are still standing for the big job.
:) Probably because left, elitists don’t have that quality????????? I do consider myself an elitist,
:) but, have lived long enough to know I am humbled by the daunting journey of life.
Good morning,it was a great show. I enjoy the way the 3 of you (you,Steve,Greg) all get along so well. Where is Kelly Wright??? I try to watch F&F weekends-but I miss seeing Kelly and Greg and you Alisyn together.
Anyway,who won the NY trip?
Larry needs to hear all of Bill mahers comments. Yes, the Pope may have been a Hitler youth, since the alternative would have been death, but speaking as a former alter boy, I was insulted by his remarks. I served Mass under 3 priests and they were all good guys and not child molesters. Now if you had 3 hours to hear why I don’t practice my faith. it’s primarily because the church’s main problems could be solved by allowing priests to marry and women to be priests.
Thank you …….revenge. Are you not amazed at the ignorance of people who should know as they have all had the privilege of a free education??? Geezzzzzzzzzz!! No wonder people are choosing private schools and home schooling. This is alarming!! No wonder Maher can get away with vile remarks and Lou Dobbs can be so stupid and people are going…what’s wrong with what he said?? ALARMING….ALARMING….ALARMING…I repeat…these people get to vote!! Hopefully “the holy spirit” continues to guard our most precious nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and “these” people are unable to get to the polls!! Oh, that is definitely not nice…sorry!!
re: Tom Dunnavant…it is NOT Mr Pope. You need to get a life! I am definitely hostile this morning. That is not my usual mood..geezz!! I can usually find some light in the reasoning of some comments…but, this is astonishing this morning…just astonishing, I say!!!
:) and void of any respect at all….manners kids!! The first rule……
Morning Alisyn,
I have had severe back pain for nearly 30 years, and would like to contact Dr. Norman Marcus to see if possibly he can help. Would you please send me contact info.
I love Fox and Friends, and watch every morning while getting ready for work. I can’t imagine a day without watching. Everyone does such a wonderful job, and it’s good to hear unbiased truthful reporting.
Thank you to All,
Hi chas…or chase????
:) tee hee…my rechristened fellow blogger…………………….:) lol
Steve Doocy was great on the After the Show Show … but Greg Kelly was a bust! I really enjoyed hearing Steve describe how the technology worked in his early days as a weatherman, cameraman, and all the behind-the-scenes tech stuff he was doing. Alisyn, please tell Steve that! I hope he’ll get a chance to tell more of his story next time!
Greg was annoying for cutting Steve off, changing the subject, and just blatantly dissing Steve for having been in the TV news business for a long time. I was ticked off by Greg’s comments … Steve’s not that old … and does Greg think of himself as young? Please!
There’s a reason Steve and Alisyn are the regular A-team co-hosts … as Carpe Diem says on his blog two days ago (subject line “F&F A-Team”), “Thanks to the Pope coverage, Fox & Friends Weekend is in adult hands today. Alisyn Camerota is in the center spot flanked by Steve Doocy …”
Reference: Carpe Diem site at http://jakeho.wordpress.com/
Patricia…so true…but, don’t worry. Bill Maher will not insult them on any day. He is a coward as well as a very bad, malicious “comedian” (?) questionable talent as such…and doesn’t want jihad directed at him on any day at any time..hummmmmmmmm????? For sure!!! Coward, I say!!!
:)
Allyson,
First a little history. My husband and I have been starting our day with Fox and Friends since he retired a year or so ago. We really looked forward to each morning. We even made plans to be in Florida at the Don Cesar when the show was taped there (missed you). Brian even brought be a chair. We were close to the first in line for Steve’s book signing and have great picture of the whole event. Lately we keep trying to watch the show but are finding it harder, as are our friends who told us about the show to begin with. My husband thought maybe Steve and Gretchen were being prejudice for Hillary because they had complained so about other stations being for Obama. Lately Steve is almost obnoxious when anyone says anything against Hillary. Is he so for her or so against Obama? He and Gretchen both lately give the impression that they are the only authority on anything and if you disagree you’re stupid. I know this has nothing to do with you. We always love whenever you are on. You add personality, poise and intellegence to the show. We both really enjoy Brian. This is my first time to use your blog and look forward to reading all the comments. Thank you for being there for us to express our opinion. We want so much to continue watching this show. Maybe after the election it will be like it used to be. I don’t know if we can stand Steve that long.
Thanks for the great job you do.
Did F&F draw the winners of the sweepstakes yet?
I was disappointed this AM when you all seemed to report with GLEE about that CNN reporter getting caught in Central Park, who obviously has a probalm. I know there is no love lost between CNN and FOX but.. report it don’t gloat.
Thanks keep up the good work
Whoops, Spelled your name wrong in my message already sent. Sorry!
Lyndall Ridenour (I’m used to mine being spelled wrong)
The show was particularly good this morning! I especially liked the segment with Mike Huckabee. He is such a “real” person and so quick witted. McCain should be looking at Huckabee seriously.
I also have enjoyed the coverage of the Pope. Although I am not Catholic (I’m Southern Baptist), it was certainly interesting and uplifting to watch his visit and to see his response to the crowds. I felt that he rejuvenated all of the faithful here in the US and that they also rejuvenated him. I felt his call to service is timely and something that needs to be said. Having faith doesn’t mean you just sit on it; Christ’s love should be reflected in everything you do. True faith cannot be separated from the rest of your life. Also, I have great respect for those who have given their lives in service to God.
As to Bill Maher–he’s an idiot! He has been an idiot for a long time, and there doesn’t seem to be much hope that he will ever change.
The show was great today. I enjoyed your being their for the entire time and was glad to see Greg in this morning for Brian.
Sandra…sure she will. Forty is awesome. If God ask me what age I would want to be for the rest of my life, it WOULD be forty. An empowering, beautiful age for woman. i.e. Don’t mess with the forty year old.
:):) lol… I hope I get to see your beautiful daughter and Happy Birthday Kiddo!!!!! p.s. and all the ages coming too. Fifty was good, sixty also was good….the kids are finely old enough to have a conversation with
:). There are advantages to age, you know.
:) And I am enjoying the journey!! Trying to keep my “smile” lines in place!!
:) despite Tom Dunnavant!!!!!!!
:):) Hi Alisyn…are we not too funny today! And Tom (geezzz! I am really being mean to you today), it would be Mr. Doocy. Respect…remember??? Will you not be take some good advice honey??? Manners…remember???
:)
Good Morning!
I always watch the show as I get ready for work. Today, I was upset after the section on “A Cure for Diabetes”. I felt abused because it came across that all Diabetics are obese. It is an opinion that may people have. NOT ALL OF US ARE OBESE. SOME OF US ARE NOT EVEN FAT. It was a further insult to have a person, as the example, that was only “pre-diabetic” The gentleman was not a diabetic with the testing, diet, and medications that it takes to manage the disease. It is hard for many to understand the difference between eating a Diabetic meal and a meal to loose weight. Most people watch the fats to diet but we have to count the carbs which is differnet from “low fat” From a serving size of 1/3 cup of pasta to 30-40 cabs per meal for the rest of our lives. And, if you do not eat enough carbs you pass out.
The Dr.’s explanation was that there was a connection between our brain and panceas. You then made it seem that diabetes is all in our heads.
It seems that most insurance companies will not cover the surgery nor the pre-evaluating and testing the is required prior the surgery. Will the insurance companies cover it for all diabetics and obese people because it will save the money in the long term.
Thank you,
Teresa Hoelscher
That would be Mathew…sorry…no red line!!!!
:) spell check, spell check!!!
:) On to more important things. Does everyone know that they are planning to kill off Indiana Jones in the next movie coming out?????? That’s what my son told me.
:) I am truly devastated. May not be able to make it to the polls, as I may be prostate over this!!!!!
:):)
Hey Steve…what HAVE you done that I missed??? I do listen and I am not getting the wave of comments about you and Gretchen. I guess I better pay closer attention.
Laura…I bet if you go on the catholic league web site, you can find the info you are looking for.
Watching your coverage this weekend with my father and my family, he was so moved he cried periodically during the Mass and the presentation by Lauren Green and Shp Smith. In my 55 years on this earth, I had never seen my father cry. Keep up the excellent coverage. It’s the reason FOX IS #1..all the others just dont get the total commitment by their news reporters and anchors.
Larry, Larry, Larry. Shame on you. Speech like Maher’s is dangerous and I think you know that well if you are over the age of ten. Now, that said, he has a right to say what he pleases, of course, as he lives in America. We, however, do recognize that this is not funny and is dangerous, and we must object, in mass, to people of his ilk who would bring this country down and then be curious about what happened, as their intellect is very diminished for sure.
I hardly think Lou Dobbs comment was a blunder. He does have some responsibility to NOT BE STUPID!!! If that is the best he can do, he deserves what he gets from FOX AND FRIENDS commentary!!! Geezzzzzzzzzzz!!!
Teresa…I have two sons who are diabetic and a nephew who is in ICU as we speak, so this is a devastating far ranging disease. Affects every corner and niche of your life. You go girl…and God Bless You.
Shirley…Muslim’s demand and then do jihad. That is the difference. i.e. Maher is afraid and a coward. A requested apology is not analgelous (yes, Tom, I see the red line), with the Muslim community and some of their demands.
As I read lots of the comments, I noticed that several prefer to have you in permanently during the 3 hour morning show. So real, so interesting, so fun so pretty. What does one need to do to start a movement to permanently put you in that time period..?
oPPS
Sorry Virginia, I thought this was Aly’s blog.
Susan, Susan, Susan….whew! You are amazingly uninformed.
Yes Merilee…I hope it was me or you!!!
Yes, Tom, it is. Are you having fun yet??????? I bet Alisyn is.
:)
Hey Tom…how come you are home??? I have a sprained ankle and am stuck. Do you work at night?? retired??? I am sorry I made you angry. Really, I am.
:) I will soon be back at work, and my puny opinions will go with me
:). lol honey.
Hey Tom…I love your last name…it is VERY elegant. Don’t be mad. It is bad for the smile lines.
Hey Allyson
It was great watching you this weekend and today. The pope coverage was great my mom who is 60 years old and dieing of cancer watched the pope service at yankee stadium and was so moved it really made her day. It has been a rough ride for her and it was nice to see her smile for even a second.
Thank you
There was an interview this morning that was incredible. I can’t remember his name, it was something like Breit…. He was talking about the far left, and there was a grouping of pictures which included Bill Maher, Huffington, Soros, Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean. His comments were astounding. We need to hear more from him. It was absolutely amazing. How can I find out his name and where on the net I can find him? I’ve tried to find that interview on the net but have not been able to do so. Can someone please tell me where to see that interview? He talked about the fact this Obama thing has been in the works for 8 years by the far left. They have been maneuvering to get the moderates in the Dem party OUT. They forced Harold Ford out because he didn’t meet their criteria for liberal. We need to know more about all of this.
Alisyn
I have to say that was one of the best ATSS. Did Greg really have to fill in for Brian on the radio or was he just being….well Greg? Keep up the super show!
Alysin:
I always enjoy watching Fox and Friends and my only wish is that you were on it all of the time. Steve, Brian and you have such great chemistry. Nothing against Gretchen as she does a good job too, but you always seem like someone that everone can relate to.
It was good to see Greg Kelly on the show today. Is he still with the weekend Fox and Friends? I have noticed that Kelly has not been on the weekend show either….can you share what he is doing these days?
Keep up the great job Alysin!
With so many emails from Virginia, I sure wonder why you on did not share the other emails that I sent to you. Sprcifically the one where I mentioned agreeing with Lyndall Ridenour! At first thought, I assumed you were limiting the blogs from people but since Virginia had so many, I am surely wtong.
Hi …I have a similiar question to the last one…what’s happened to the weekend Fox and Friends? I miss Page Hopkins and Kelly Wright…and Greg Kelly…I know Greg’s been doing a show later in the day on Sundays…I don’t like the the “new” weekend Fox and Friends group…they are a turn off to me…BUT I always watch Fox and Friends during the week.
I just heard Steve say that Hillary would nail Iran if they went after Israil that she would go after them. I’m a Rep. and I now who I am voting for in Nov. That would be Hillary for not take any thing form Iran. I do like McCain and was going to vote for him, But i do think that he could be a bit trigger happy about all things, Also I like all of you on the show and you all work well each other. I really like Brain Kelly seems so shy and vute.
Marlene Dickey, that was Andrew Breitbart.
Here is Tues but it was a WONDERFUL Monday, to bad Brian thought he needed a day off too
Good Morning Alysin. Fox and Friends—-THE GREATEST! Best news source on TV. Gretchen, Megyn and you are super news commentators and are all knock down gorgeous. Steve, Brian,and the Judge are all Number One. (Great commentators but not nearly so pretty)
Keep up the great work.
