Doocys Wild!
It wasn’t Steve Doocy that asked the uproarious question that aired lived last night on Hardball (and we replayed on our 6am show) — it was his son Peter!
Peter Doocy, a political science major at Villanova, waltzed up to the microphone at a John McCain event and asked this: “I was wondering if you think that Hillary Clinton is finally resorting to hitting the sauce just because of some unfavorable polling and was also wondering if you would care to join me for a shot after this?” McCain started chuckling so hard, he had a hard time answering the question. If you sense signature Doocy all over that question (as do I), you’re wrong. Steve says he didn’t help Peter craft it and didn’t know the exchange had taken place until afterward. How long do you think it’ll take Chris Matthews to figure out it was Steve’s son who stumped the candidate?

Happy Hump Day to Alisyn!
Obama must be wearing one thick coat of Teflon or all the polls are being taken on college campuses. Is it that people like Obama that much, or is it they dislike Hillary that much?
Peter Doocy should have told McCain that his dad was one of the “jerks” on F&F’s. lol
She’s got legs, she knows how to use them.
She never begs, she knows how to coose them.
She’s holdin’ leg wonderin’ how to feel them.
Would you get behind them if you could only find them?
She’s my baby, she’s my baby,
yeah, it’s alright.
She’s got hair down to her fanny.
She’s kinda jet set, try undo her panties.
Everytime she’s dancin’ she knows what to do.
Everybody wants to see if she can use it.
She’s so fine, she’s all mine,
girl, you got it right.
She’s got legs, she knows how to use them.
She never begs, she knows how to choose them.
She’s got a dime all of the time,
stays out at night movin’ through time.
Oh, I want her, said, I got to have her,
the girl is alright, she’s alright.
I watched part of that program, but I missed the Doocy question. Chris Matthews is hard to take for long periods of time. lol But, I thought McCain did a good job during that interview.
Morning Ali,
I could see Steve was chest busting proud of his son. Cannot blame him.
BTW caught your youtube video asking that anyone that has them to post pixs of you in a bikini. Well, I found one, I think. I was walking through Walmart last evening and found what I believe is you in a yellow top and a bikini bottom on the Beat the Bloat display. I also found it at beatthebloat.com website.
I must say, whether in your bikini or your Fox News work clothes, you are still the Bell of the Ball to me!
As always,
Danny from Corsicana
Glad I wasn’t featured in the Bloat of the Day display.
Good Morning Ms. Alisyn,
well if he didn’t know before he should by now…lol
And as far as having a beer with McCain, I’d much rather sit and have a couple with you.
Have a wonderful day lovely lady.
chas
Watching those TX compound women make me think of the beginning scene in a Stephen King movie!
Hi Alisyn, Great outfit today, It will take Chris Matthews at least a week to figure it out what even the question was.boy Steve son looks just like him .Have a great day.
He probably already knows, what he does with that information is to be seen. It won’t be used in favor of McCain from the guy who gets goose bumps down his legs from Obama………….
Chris will say that Fox planted Peter to ask a softball question-
Actually Hardball vetted all the questions beforehand. When they heard Peter’s, they said, “Yeah, that’s a good one!”
Alisyn, McCain didnt answer the question, from Peter Doocy, because he thought it was so funny that he didnt know what to say.
Sal
The Peter Doocy question was fun. Anyone looking at him had to know he is Steve’s son.
I do want to take issue with something that Mark Halprin from Time Magazine said this morning. He said no superdelegates had come out and endorsed Hillary because of the “bitter” comments by Obama. I believe this is inaccurate. Montana superdelegate Bill Kennedy endorsed Hillary because of the comments made by Obama. This was widely reported, even by Alan Colmes on Monday night’s ‘Hannity & Colmes’.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,351331,00.html
I also would like to point out that this morning during the 6am hour when the polls numbers were being discussed and much was made of the narrowing of the gap in PA, no mention was given of a poll released on Monday that showed Hillary to have a 20 point lead in PA. When this year’s polls have varried so widely from each other and from the final results is there some reason why such poll numbers would not be worthy of mention?
Would it not be “fair & balanced” to report all polls, regardless of who they are good news for?
I would prefer it be reported and I be allowed to decide.
Thanks for that superdelegate tip. I’ll confirm that, then use it to horribly humiliate Halperin at the Correspondent’s Dinner tonight. As for the other poll, our researchers find that one suspect which is why we’re not using it — not out of bias.
Never, Chris Matthews is not that smart.
Have never responded like this before…Just heard your story about the Texas Ranch. Help them if you can. Sounds like their life style is different from ours, but so what. That’s what America is all about.
Seems strange that a raid was necessary
Ali,
Leave poor Chris Matthews alone. He suffers from RCI (rectal cranial inversion) like most of main stream media. RCI is a serious malady. It manifests in forgetfulness of America’s major accomplishments past and present. It wants to define America’s future in a way not intended by the Founding Fathers.
One day Chris will be sitting on a sun light porch with a shawl blanket and a recovered memory event will unfold. He’ll flashback to that interview of President McCain (he will not be able to clearly remember if this was a pre or post election moment). A few synapses will fire and he will suddenly realize, DOOCY, DOOCY, THAT WAS STEVE DOOCY KID!
I would like to express my heartfelt, sincere gratitude to all of the Alibloggers serving in Iraq or Afganistan. Maybe one day you will let me record your personal stories for the Veterans History Project (I do it for free as a volunteer).
On another off topic subject: I am beside myself with former President Carter’s trip. Let me pose a hypothetical. What if a rogue element of extremists (Hamas or Fatah) kidnap him? How many Secret Service personnel will have to give their lives in his defense? Clearly the U.S. will respond with multiple elements of America’s finest. But how many Marines or Airborne/Air Mobile, USAF, USN personnel will have to be involved in the rescue and at what cost.
President Carter should be taken to task (the woodshed) for this stunt. Doesn’t he already have an unforgetable legacy: Iran Hostage Crisis, the failed rescue attempt, stagflation, gas crisis, and the failed Israeli-Palestinian peace (?) talks.
Love F&F,
Will
TELL STEVE THAT MSNBC HAD A CLIP OF HIS SON THIS MORNING BUT FAILED TO NAME HIM .
SO MUCH FOR FAIR NEWSW REPORTING.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
JOE FROM WEST CHICAGO iLLINOIS
GO MCCAIN!!!!!
Good morning Alisyn….The answer to that is NEVER. Hard Ball is a painful show to watch, so I don’t watch it. When I check it out, my head feels like it is going to explode
, so I must change the channel immediately. The man is a certified ILITIST
:)…now, you would think I could spell that word. It’s been in the news every five seconds. Unfortunately I missed the whole thing. I just got up, and last night I lost control of the remote, by default
:), so I was stuck watching “other things”. I left my glasses upstairs, so I can barely read this…gotta go turn on Fox and Friends…IF they didn’t hide the remote from me
:). They have no appreciation for how much fun this election cycle has been………….:):) I hope you really did get your massage!!!
Hey Alisyn! Did you not like my singing voice this morning?
Hello,
Did you think you can put the video of Peter on the Fox&Friends page I would love to see it!
Thank you,
Me
Ali,
Fellow Aliblogger Marshall always seems to post the first blog. I think there is a mole in the Greenroom.
Will
I don’t know what to think about the compound situation. It does sound like they have a good life that they like except for the polygamy and impregnating underage girls. Man, that is a tough situation…….
Peter Doocy is a chip off the old block … I have a feeling that McCain recognized the last name and probably thought the face looked familiar … Who cares about Chris Matthews?? Not me …
Aly – Love the blouse … But, the camera’s eye is having a lil trouble with it on the long shots …
It’s like the blouse is doing that funky rainbow shimmer … LOL
Doocy’s ties do that sometimes … LOL
I think Bill Kennedy set the record straight and said he had chosen to support Hillary long before the bitter speech was made.
I’m sorry to play devil’s advocate again but some light must be shed.Isn’t this an Alisyn blog ? Then why are we even talking about Doocy’s kid ? He asked some absurd question that was purely tongue-in-cheek and had no actual political relevance, and that’s considered noteworthy ?
Do you have to be a poli-sci major at Villanova to amalgamate the wit and political savvy to devise such a question ? It must be a very slow news day if this is even on a blog. It’s too bad,I don’t see politics or comedy as a viable career possiblity for Doocy’s kid, stick to the Alisyn stuff
…please.
Forever Yours,
Elias
Good Morning Alisyn and Friends,
Doocy’s son was a hoot. Classic Steve reincarnated in a young, nappy-headed (but adorable) body. For Steve, it must be like watching old video of himself.
Leave it to a “Dooce” to bring a little levity to a serious discussion.
(In my best Guinness-laced accent), “BRILLIANT”!
Another Doocey with a sense of humor… What are we to do? Personally, the world is a better place for having them, and alot more fun. As for Chris Matthews, I think he’s hillarious and I love that sideways grin. You kinda know he’s up to something.
The apple does not fall from the tree. I think Steve’s son made us all proud. BTW, Chris who?
Love the show, the only thing…..I’d like to see Brian get more respect.
Was that a good or bad comment? lol
Doocy’s kid did good and Steve should be proud that he is politically aware and interested. He broke the ice at that Chris Matthews show and that was a good thang!
I just had to write….I live in a rural PA town, and many of us were “bitter” when several of our industries moved to other countries, leaving high unemployment. During that time a lot of folks “clung” to their church and their church family. Why is this an offensive comment? It’s reality.
Whew…I’ve got my coffee and Fox & Friends is on. I did have to FIND the remote!!!
They hadn’t exactly hidden it from me, but, it wasn’t where is belongs. With my sprained ankle, this is all a bit labor intensive. Peter was wonderful and a very handsome boy. Good job Steve! The” burden” of having Steve as his father will probably chase him for a while, until he makes his own mark in this world, which I am sure he will. In the mean time, we know he CAN think for himself, and doesn’t need to be “coached” by his father. Just in passing, as I am listening, Gretchen is right. The TX “raid” on the compound is a mess. This is still America, and it is chilling what has happened. We all agree that this is probably a wicked, evil, cult, but, like Gretchen, I would have been a tiger…probably in jail by now..if someone tried to take my child. I do not trust Children Services, period. We will pray that they get it right this one time. To quote Greta…Tx better have their ducks in a row or this is going to explode in their face. There has to be a middle ground between Waco and this event. Now this does give me “chills down my leg”.
:)
I think those women from tx compound look just like those people was on dark shadows .I think the man of them should get whats coming to him I love watching you Alisyns l
love forever Gerri
Way to go Doocy Jr. ! Great question and you are quick on his feet. The comment about the only shots your father takes was vaccinations. Smart kyoung man! Michael
Good morning! Doocy your son is just too cute. I have a 19 year old son whom attends our local college, Okaloosa Walton College. He currently has a 4.0 GPA. Doesn’t it feel great to be so proud of your children? The pride was pouring out of you this morning. Congrats to you and your family he did a great job .
Re: Will Penny…That WAS the question I ask Sean and Bill. And why isn’t the public enraged over Carter and his antics? Why isn’t the safety of our brave secret service, that are on this detail, taken into consideration? I would think when a “person” with this high a profile, decides to go into enemy territory, against the wishes of our government, the detail would be pulled and this “person” should be on their own. The same goes for Nancy Pelosi and all the other senators who have decided to engage in a “shadow government” in defiance of our President. They are all simply traitors and should be called out. But, of course, that will not happen. The “government” of the dems is busy admonishing Rush, so there is no wonder they can’t do the business of government for which they were elected! By the way….ELITIST…spelling correction..I looked it up as I have ALL THIS TIME ON MY HANDS WITH THIS STUPID SPRAINED ANKLE!!!!!
:)
P.S. And furthermore, Nancy will not have a job after the election…whoever wins. Although applauded at the time by the left, it would not have been tolerated BY the left. So, enjoy Nancy ’cause your days are numbered. None of the candidates will put up with your antics. We sonder why on earth our President didn’t have a lot more to say about it at the time. Could it be that he is a “well raised fellow”, and was just too polite to further embarrass our government?
Hi Alisyn, I could see how very proud Steve is of Peter, That’s wonderful to see. To Elias, Yes it is Alisyon’s blog, didn’t you see SHE asked the question?? And,no, not every question has to be funny to a candidate to air on t.v.If it was my child, and I worked on a great news show, I would show it as well. What’s wrong Elias? do you not like kids? Have a Great day Alyson.
Well the TX raid, I have to say i watched Part 1 and Part 2 of the women at the ranch. My opinion is that they lied and bounced around answering questions. Did get a good laugh at Brian trying to ask how many husbands they had. lol But yes, we do live in america where people can live free but at the same time, Must obey the law of lands. Isn’t that what it says in the bible? Having several wives is unlawful and so is children marrying underage. I have a 15 year old daughter, HELLO. She better not even be going to first base with a guy. These people are brainwashed if they think this stuff is right. And when the woman said she had an 18 year old daughter who needed her mother. She also hesitated, and said she needed them. I found that odd. And do they make thier own clothes. My gosh every dress matched.
Alisyn, Chris M is a left wing nut as we all know. He will make something political out of Doocy’s comment, which was funny and meant to be..( wasn’t it? ) In this political season I am not pleased with either party’s candidate, However McCain seems to know that this is a real war with muslims wanting to wipe out the entire world of non-believers.
way to go peter… how hysterical is that? its as good as mitt romneys son pranking him on the campaign trail…. steve should be proud!

I don’t like half-wits like you Randi. Why don’t you gather all 73 of your itty bitty IQ and shove your opinion down someone who cares throat, you mental lilliputian. What Doocy’s son said was stupid and pointless. In Allisyn’s inital post, she felt it imperative to mention that Doocy’s son was a major in poli-sci at Villanova.Which caused me to muse about how much money and time is wasted at universities and colleges.
Doocy’s son is not a McCain campaign beat reporter, this may have been his only chance to ask a question directly of him,and this is the best a poli-sci major at Villanova could come up with ? Pathetic,Randi, like your attempts to counter me.Shurrup.

Thanks for the spelling tip. The Aliblog does not have spellcheck (or it does and I don’t know how to activate it).
I am new to blogging. The Aliblog is my first. I try to type in a hurry and I spend way too much time in the Ali-sphere.
I have spent more time than I should crafting my missives to her and fellow bloggers only to find they have been dispatched to the dbb (digital bit bucket). This crushes my spirit and dashes any hope for a reply from Ali. Just a “lol” or “Will, you old charmer you!” would lift me out of this cloud I am in.
Gotta run. I have to check and see if Ali threw me any bones.
Will

This is my second attempt to thank you for the spelling tip. I think the first thank you was sent to the dbb (digital bit bucket). I am going to try and resurrect what I said in the first attmpt to thank you.
I am new to blogging and I spend way too much time in the “Alishpere.” I type in a hurry and I am usually intolerant of spelling mistakes. To the best of my knowledge, the Aliblog does not have spellcheck (or I do not know how to access it).
Additionally, I have spent way too much time crafting these missives for Ali and my fellow bloggers in the hope of saying something intelligent and informative.
I am also addicted to Ali’s laugh and smile and therefore try to provide her some witticisms (I believe Ali corrected my misspelling of this word).
I have even taken to writing my missive in word, copy and paste to the blog, and never seen it again. This crushes my spirit and I feel wounded but nearly every day I log on to send a blog in the hope that Ali will throw me a bone.
Will
P.S. The fact that my remarks were similiar to yours only proves that there are themes about America and her interests we all share. I was not aware of your remarks to Sean or Bill.
To Will via Alisyn….no spell check..you are right, or I can’t find it either. I made the spelling error in a missive I sent, so that was for laughs, as I too, would prefer to spell correctly, being the well educated, albeit, NOT HARVARD, American I am. Your observations were right on, and it is always nice to know at least someone is on the same page, a lesson Mothers learn early on at the first PTA meeting they attend.
There is hope because the other lesson we learn along the way is that if you are thinking it, you are probably NOT ALONE.
(another Mom lesson). I am also a new blogger…much to Alisyns dismay, I am sure. She will be sooooooooo grateful when my ankle heals and I am back at work!!!!! My daughter turned me on to this in a blurry eyed moment after listening to me “go on”. I think she is now very alarmed…she insisted that I go out and sit on the deck for a while…oops! Missive from Virginia, gun toting (well, no,but I could have used a weapon the day I was robbed in my driveway), bible thumping (well..no again..Catholics don’t thump, however my bible belt Grandmother did..good gene pool), bitter (geezzz..no, again..life being a journey, and it sure has not been boring yet, despite the pitfall along the way), mother, grandmother, wife of a Navy vet, daughter of a warrior whom I am privileged to take care of………breath…I think I am watching too much t.v. The daughter may be right!!!!!!! a bit of an elitist, as most Americans are..i.e.The Ugly American….I think I need a nap now………I think you will need another massage Alisyn…Oklahoma girl, living in Ohio, was definitely barefoot and pregnant!!! and wouldn’t give a miniute back, AND I get to start collectin ss this year, before they run out of all the money!!!!
P.S. Hey Will and Alisyn…that would be Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity..who have been “privilege” to my tomes as well…only Bill didn’t get my first tome as I forgot NAME AND TOWN, NAME AND TOWN!
. Alisyn…you are the first blog I went to also. Too fun and very interesting. Virginia…, etc, etc, etc.:)
Umm,Looking back,my comments seem harsh.Whatever makes the Doocy’s happy is cool with me
. l8rs.
Elias
I think Peter’s question was very cool in that I, personally, was shocked that Ms. Clinton was doing shots for the press in the first place. No one else seemed to notice or make comment. That Peter brought it to light in a nonconfrontational way was a hoot. He and Sen. McCain handled it in a light-hearted way. Democrats, take notice.
Considering many of us feel parents are spending big bucks to send their kids to college to drink, or learn to drink, (you’ve seen the recent videos) it would have been so much more mature and timely for Peter Doocy to have considered a truly important appropriate question for John McCain, rather than one that has to do with alcoholic shots. Presidential candidates are important to America, like, how about the expression, let’s grow up a little.
Good job Peter! You have a bright future in front of you. Your Papa has a right to be proud. Good Luck
I have to come in on this one. As a proud graduate of Villanova Univ (BA 1978; MA 1992) in Political Science and now as a professor in POLS (UCONN at UCONN-Stamford) I commend Peter for his performance. Steve should be extremely proud. Rarely has there been a more convincing display of genetics than this. No doubt, the emergence of this new political communications Doocy “dynasty” will soon rival the Kennedys, Bush and other such examples. The professors (both my collegues and former mentors) at VU have done a fine job preparing young Peter for a future career. They’re going to hire out Peter as a professional politico for his wit and skills. Reminisant of a similar stunt by myself and others in a Q&A back in 1976 involving a visit to VU by then President Ford in the waning days of the campaign, its nice that that instutition still stands for the free exchange of ideas, but moreso to see steadfast poise from students like Peter. He picked the right major and will be a winner as a POLS professional when he’s ready.
My only regret is that I don’t have Peter in my classroom. I need more of these young self-reliant courageous minds willing to explore and analyze the issues of the day. And believe me, working in professional POLS as a moderate or conservative eclectic in the typical university ideological climate with all its underlying biases, tedium, and other assorted antics, seeing Peter’s performance is indeed refreshing. Now that he’s passed on his good looks and natural charms to his son, Steve will no doubt have to hit one of the lotteries to afford to protect from all the Nova Wildcat women and other noteworthy paparatzi. Alisyn pat Steve on the back for me.
Alisyn, I dont know how you take all these compliments with such charm and grace. They are all deserving. With due reverence to your three pals there, you are the best no matter what you wear–pink, white, lavender, floral, now a bikini (?) or your pole dancing/exercise get-up. Its your gesturing, expressions and warmth that get to me. The “cameras like you” and you would have been a great classic hollywood actress (Carole Lombard, Jean Arthur) in an earlier epoch. Here’s to the Belle of Monmouth County. Take Care
Congratulations Steve on ur son!!! Guys like that are going places.
I wanted to also comment on the Pope and tell you guys at F&F weekdays something too. i am an AME. We do Aviation Medical Exams. I was delighted to hear that he flies! I don’t know his itinerary so this may actually be impossible, but I would like to offer him a free physical. That way he could be certified here and Europe. We are in the suburbs of Memphis. I love waking up with u guys everyday. I actually sleep in my easy chair with the TV on (long story).
Plus – I realize you guys are all busy, etc – please feel free to call and schedule an exam if you are interested. Again it would be on the house for y’all. (ooooooh I said it southern didn’t I?).

There is a great place called Cafe Med not too far away to get something to eat and motels in the immediate area – so There!
Hope to see ya
Gerry

Hey Ali,
How much did you pay Marshall to pay you all of those wonderful compliments? It is VERY obvious that you are really proud of your legs and love to show them off!
I also must say that I think Gretchen is BEAUTIFUL and has a WONDERFUL PERSONALITY and she is so easy to watch. She is not so much into herself but just seems very relaxed and FUN!
