I have a herniated disk that at times in the past was disabling, and i was close to surgery, but, using exercise and being aware of what kind of movements aggravate it, i have been close to normal, and am very happy to have avoided surgery, at least to this point.

Now, your job description for personal assistant yesterday left me reeling. If i wasn’t self-employed i would have called in a personal day to recover. Massages? For all your beauty, you are very cruel to put that image out there. Then all the talk this morning, and actually seeing someone start to rub your shoulders?????? Cruel and unusual.

That said, you are having a great hair and dress day. I have attached my resume’ for personal assistant, along with my official home-made masseur license. Professional all the way. Honest.

I see a theme developing between the job description and today’s debate

Alyson, you have quite the fan club, so I felt bad for the guys, considering yours and Gretchen’s beauty get so much attention, and rightfully so. Here’s a plug for the two handsome men on the show, I love Brian’s since of humor, he keeps me laughing, and Steve is the guy every girl would like to be married to………….

Comment by Alisyn Camerota

Brian’s wife’s name is Dawn. Coincidence?

Thanks for the infomation Alisyn. I thought that back pain, especially in the morning was just a part of every day living. Of course when you are 70, 40lbs overweight and already have a hip replacement, just what should one expect. That is why watching you and your Friends every morning is such a pleasure. I am looking forward to the day you all announce me as having won the Sweepstakes. God Bless !!!! Grandpajac

Mike Malone, the pain in Alisyn’s back that Dr Marcus can’t cure for her. :)

Any pain you cause Mike is easily cured by massaging my ego

Good morning Alyson
I have another question – today you were discussing hot food being put in the refrigerator – when I make a roast beef I take it out while it is rare & to keep it that way I immediately put it into the freezer compartment for about 10 minutes to stop it from continuing cooking so that it does not become well done – is this incorrect – am I allowing germs to build up in my weekly roast?
Thank you & wish all on the show a great day – you all deserve it – great show

I don’t think 10 minutes is long enough for dangerous bacteria to develop. I’m no bacteria expert but I do eat a lot, so sprinkle my input with salt.

Good Morning Ms. Alisyn,

I don’t think it would help me. My pain is back(side) pain and it’s job related…lol :)

And about the PA Job, I’ll be free in less than a year having put in my 30 for the Country, (DoD) so if the job would be open then, I’d be up for it.

How come we aren’t hearing much about Carter? Seems the MSM is pretty much ignoring this disrespect to our Country and the President. I think we should pull his passport while he’s there.

Have a great day,
chas

We’ve talked a lot about Carter’s visit to Syria and meeting with Hamas on the 6am show. What time do you tune in?

Ali,

You are stunning. God started with a new pallette when you were created. BTW, Gretchen is also spectacular this morning. I just caught a glimpse of her in that blue (I have a color spectrum of about 8-10 colors).

Many critics of the F&F fail to understand that it is pleasing to watch goddesses with intellect, charm, grace, and wit. All too often I see persons in sweats and other apparel that should have gone in the “burn barrel” (50 gal oil drum used in the “T” and other places that do not appeal to elitists).

One more missive on back pain. I experienced sciatica and did not know what it was. I was only familiar with the term because I believe Nixon suffered from it (amongst other things). I thought it was related to the fact that I have spinal compression.

Back pain can come from many sources. I have checked this out with my physician and dentist. I had a cracked molar and did not know it. Bear with me, I know this sounds like I am going out on a tangent. I had the sciatica simultaneous to the cracked molar. After I lost the molar the sciatica disappeared.

My dentist concurred with a correlation I drew between the damaged tooth and the sciatica. The physician disagreed. He said the sciatica is pain is related to the peripheral system of nerves (I could do a better job of writing this but I am in a hurry – I like to craft my blogs).

My point is persons with back pain should strive to elimanate all possible causes prior to undergoing any major treatment or surgery. My mother’s story is testimony to that.

Love F&F,

Will

You see people on the news in sweats? What are you watching Cable Sweat Network?

I won’t get to see your show until 5 this evening. I get to work at around 5:30 AM.

See this is why we need the 6 to 7 segment streamed on the blog like the AtSS. :)

PS< glad to see you are reporting it, most the networks are not.

I can tell you, as a 57 yr. old battered older jock, after a day of working out nothing beats a deep massage. Steve doesn’t look like the “hard body” type, LOL. Only kidding Steve. My wife and I love all four of you (not saying your fat. You know….you, Steve, Brian and Gretchen). Someone with twins needs a massage EVERYDAY!

I missed the news report about back pain and my neice told me to check out your website, but I can only find comments and can’t find out what the report said to do about back pain. Please let me know where to find the information. thanks, mjw

Alisyn,
Yes, I too, am the unfortunate recipient of what I would have to consider as a “botched” back surgery. Having installed all new hardware to my spine, my condition is worse now, by far, than prior to the procedure. This sounds like something that I must look into. Do you have any idea if this method of pain relief can be found in other parts of the country?

Comment by john kolenda

Your story on treating back pain by placing needles in the muscles of the lower back is an elementary form of acupuncture. And yes lots of people get great relief from their pain, not just back pain with acupuncture.
Thank you for the story.

John

Well it is nice to know that there is other treatments out there other than surgery. I had a lamenectomy on my L-3 and L-4 disks in 2003 with a right foot drop and in 2006 I hurniated my L-5 S-1 with pain in my left leg and electrical shocks in my middle toe on left foot, there is very little weekness but not much. The doctors have said it wasn’t bad enough to do surgery, but i’m in pain every day. I can’t sit or stand for any longer than 2 hours or else I will be in major pain for the rest of the day. I have been on L&I (workers compesation) since October 13, 2006 and they want to retrain me for a new job. I have been to 4 diffrent physical therapist with little or no help. I have had 5 injections with very little help. I doubt that my L&I insurance would pay for such a thing so I was woundering what would be the cost of doing your therapy or is there anyone closer to Washington State that offers the same therapy as you do? Thanks for your time.

Hi, my name is Kathy and I am 37 years old. I have had back problems since I was 17. I have had 7 back surgeries along with my last one ending up with a staph infection. I have also had a gastric bypass and lost approx. 160 lbs. Had rods and screws in my back, they are removed now, worst thing I ever did. I did so many things before my first surgery, Manipulation under Anestesia, nerve blocks, manipulation, you name it, I did it. It got so bad that my husband would have to carry me out of bed because I couldn’t walk. My children were very young at the time would grew up so fast to take care of me and themselves. To this day I still have back problems, starting another series of nerve injections and just waiting until I can’t walk to have my 8th back surgery. I lived in NJ for 30 years until recently moving to FL. I found an excellent doctor in Chatham, NJ that helped so much and explained to me that when I was born I was amoung 5% of the people in the country with part of my back missing. I have spinal stenois, herniated discs, degenetive discs. I will be like this forever and forever be in pain. My heart goes out to all people that deal with back pain. Mainly when I park in a handicapp spot and people just look at you weird when you get out of the car, like you need to be elderly to be able to have a handicapp plac. Sometimes people should just keep their looks to themselves, you have no idea what is wrong and you don’t know me. Take Care to all and God Bless!!!!

Alisyn,
Is Politics Interfering With Your Sex Life?
That is the title of an Op-Ed article I wrote. You can read it on my website by clicking here.

http://www.wheredidmyamericago.com/MainPages/NewsletterArchives/Newsletter_V2-7.htm

As the author of “Where Did My America Go?” and someone who awakens every morning to Fox & Friends, I wanted to share it with you. I am sure you will enjoy it’s humor and message. Please enjoy the others I have written and share them with Gretchen, Brian and Steve. I would like to send you a copy of my book for your reading pleasure.

I have appeared with Neil Cavuto as a guest and would be humbled and honored to appear on Fox & Friends. I know we can heat up the morning a little with my political humor and pundit opinions. The opening quote in my book is by George Burns – “How come all the people who know how to run this country are busy driving taxis and cutting hair.” It says it all.

I host a local talk radio show in West Palm Beach where I interview major political pundits and candidates. This Wed. (4/23) I will be interviewing Alan Keyes. I have some extremely tough questions for him. I would like to share this interview with you if you would like.

Best of Luck,

Michael Solomon
