After suffering a back injury, one of the things a pain specialist taught me was to do self hyponosis to help with pain. If I could put myself into a hyponic state, why not someone else putting you into one. The Dr. did state some people are more open to the effects than others. So I think it could happen. While stationed in Alaska in 1969 my wife and I would go to a nightclub to see a hypnotist called Ballante. My wife willingly participated one time. After that, everytime we went back my wife would hide in the bathroom because she wanted to see the show. The hypnotist would walk around the audience, walk up to my wife who would exclaim that she didn't want to do it, press his thumb into her forehead and whe would go under and follow him up to the stage. I would never have believed it if it wasn't my wife. Hypnosis is real, I’ve seen it first hand.
