Mesmerizing…
Here’s the backstory behind the hypnotist putting our producer Kelly into a trance and getting her to laugh at 6:30 this morning: it was real. Kelly says she was surprisingly at ease during the experiment. And as Sebastian (the hypnotist) was talking about his pen, Kelly says she DID find it funny. She thought his silver pen was truly silly. She also found his voice soothing, she felt calm and at ease. Before the segment on the air, they’d spent some time together during which Sebastian says he was conditioning Kelly. She says she knew “he was working the voodoo” on her from the get-go because he was engaging in “deep eye contact and long hand holds.”
All this was our experiment to see if the news story of the Hypnotic Robber in Italy who put a cashier into a trance and took all the money without her knowing was plausible. Kelly now says yes.

If Kelly believes, there’s got to be something to it. But could he get her to do something wrong?
Kelly says that the hypnotist told her that if you’re not already inclined to do some act, you won’t do it under hypnosis. That theory works with laughing at a pen but it falls apart with the cashier handing over cash. Unless she was in on it (no evidence of that), she was probably not inclined to open the till.

I believe that with some people it is possible and easy to place them under, while it is not at all possible with others. I suspect that like with most things it is how that individual reacts.

I’d prefer this not become a gossip site but since so many of you are asking and seem to have misinformation, I’ll tell you what little I know. Sometimes contract negotiations don’t work out even when both sides try, Page is on vacation, Megan is on from 9-11a and 5-6p, have no idea about Ainsley being in trouble, and I find Courtney very sweet and nice.

I have seen hypnotist on television and have heard stories and from what I’ve heard it really works.
But, skeptic as I am, I’d have to see it first hand, in my presants and see if up close before I’d commit to say it really works,

I don’t know what I think about that …. I am unable to watch F&F this morning. Direct tv subscribers are unable to watch *shrug*. Something is wrong with the signal. We can get other channels, just not Fox. I’m having withdrawls….hehehee
Love the show….I watch everyday!!
Hope the problem is resolved soon….. maybe the producers could post a message on the Fox News web site letting us know what the problem is ??

I’m sorry, I’m not buying it. I don’t believe Kelly was hypnotized for a second. Come on, a few hand waves (even with pre-conditioning) & suddenly she’s asleep, right.

The hypnotist said that Kelly would be back to normal in a brief period of time, though she felt normal then. I wonder how people are compelled to quit smoking through hypnosis, if it wears off so soon? Or are we talking about “deep” hypnosis for other times and reasons?

I was interested in the Chris Wallace blog and was reading all the comments about you and Steve, Gretchen and Brian, notice the one about you that ACCIDENTLY was posted twice..LOL, and I notice one saying that you and Steve are the only one who don’t make stupid comments and I dissagree, all of you are funny and I love the silliness and pay extra attention to all of Brian’s “stupid” comments because I think he is hysterical. If a person needs to be conditioned before they can be hypnotized, then maybe the bank heist started somewhere else and the teller knowingly or not was pre-conditioned and when the thief came into the bank all he had to do was give her a suggestion.

I’m like Kim, a direct tv person who can’t get a signal, so I did not get to see the hypnotist. From personnal experience, everytime I try hypnosis, I fall asleep. The hypnotist always starts with relaxing, breathing exercises which really work! So much so, that I fall asleep while he’s giving me the hypnotic suggestions.
I really doubt someone can be hypnotised on the spot. Your guest had to “condition” Kelly prior to the actual experience.

Hypnosis is all about trust…letting yourself go. At least that is what I’ve been told. Hard to believe hypnosis can be used for a distrustful deed!

Not being able to see the show in real time from work I have no idea about the coverage of Hillary’s “mis-spoke”.
So how does someone be at a place knowing it is a photo opp, write a book that includes the event and then mis-speak about that event? Did she think no one would check out her story?
Did she think that the press that was there would have forgotten such an envent?
How do you get the grapes to stand there and tell such a outright lie and suspect that you will get away with it?

I didnt believe in hypnosis but I do now. Obama has convinced me its possible to hypnotize masses of people. Like they say, you have to be willing or want to believe in it for it to work. Look how it worked on Chris Wallace. Im hypnotized by the beauty of the ladys on Fox so I guess it works on me.
I understand that a person will only do things they are inclined to do under hypnosis, but I am wondering if the guy made the gal think she was giving change instead of just giving money out?

Hypnosis is real, I’ve seen it first hand. While stationed in Alaska in 1969 my wife and I would go to a nightclub to see a hypnotist called Ballante. My wife willingly participated one time. After that, everytime we went back my wife would hide in the bathroom because she wanted to see the show. The hypnotist would walk around the audience, walk up to my wife who would exclaim that she didn’t want to do it, press his thumb into her forehead and whe would go under and follow him up to the stage.
I would never have believed it if it wasn’t my wife.
Alisyn, I, too, didn’t get Fox & Friends this morning on Directv even though I TiVo’d it. I had no problem getting America’s Newroom w/ Megyn & Hemmer immediately thereafter. Crazy!

I believe it could happen. After suffering a back injury, one of the things a pain specialist taught me was to do self hyponosis to help with pain. If I could put myself into a hyponic state, why not someone else putting you into one. The Dr. did state some people are more open to the effects than others. So I think it could happen.
Love the show and it starts my day of in a happy mood.
