When Brian Walked off the set, was he actually upset or was he just fooling around? I got the impression that he was just fooling around acting offended about the sports joke. The Huffington Post has really made a big deal out of this.

I think what annoys me more is how each of Obama’s “slips” end up with more coverage leaving people to forget about the last one, and the one before that and the one before that…etc.

In just over a month there has been the “monster” comment, the NAFTA Policy comment, Wright’s comments, (and his changing story over what he heard) and now typical white person comment from Obama’s sermon from the mount speach on race.

What did happen to his slum lord buddy?

How about this Ret. General on Obama’s staff that said Bil Clinton made comments that were McCarthy like, (paraphased) “I went to college during that time when McCarthy was accusing good American’s of being traitors and I am sick of it:. Other than the error of accusing McCarthy of being part of the House Sub-Commette that was doing that, McCarthy was right and there were spies in high places. I will try and find the exact quote and his name this morning before the show is over.

You hardly hear a passing mention of how many millions Hillary has had to give back in illegal donations, like everyone forgot and forgave.

Ignorence is the only thing Democrats have working for them at this point.

Good morning! What I want to tell you is not on the topic of the day. I was blogging on _______ I don’t want to give the name of the site so I won’t get into any kind of trouble, I replied twice to Obama’s blog, and both times he did not post it. I am a Republican but still undecided on who to vote for so I asked him some questions, if you look at his blog all of the peoples post is in agreement with him, that’s not right, it is so one sided, he won’t even debate about what he writes. If you are running for President you need to be open with all of the people not certain groups, you just don’t pay attention to the cooments that you like, that is so not right and he is misleading the public that way. Well anyways here are the 2 questions that I asked him…
1.If Hillary’s priest said about you what yours said about her what do you think would be the public reaction?
2.If you pull the troops out, who would help rebuild their country? Who would supervise to make sure that there are no outbreaks? Who would help keep the innocent people safe? And most of all, what about us, wouldn’t that give an invitation for more terrorist in this country?

I think Chris is just trying to get Obamma on the air. I just hope when he does he doesnt agree to a “canned interview” muchLike he did with Bill Clinton. By this I mean where Obama will give him a list of what he wont talk about and only agrees to answer certain subjects. Otherwise it’s only an infomercial where Obama gets to talk about his talking points.

I really dont know when these agreements started, but Clinton made them a tool. When he started thumping on Chris’s notes Chris should have thrown off the gloves and declared all deal’s off.

I was taken aback, briefly, by the comments made by Chris considering how the discussion had been handled on set. I say briefly, because I assumed that he hadn’t had the opportunity to watch the show in detail. (later confirmed by Chris himself)

All that said, it was compelling television.

Chris Wallace is a class act It is an asset for FOX to have him.
He comes across very credible and professional with a balanced point of view, no matter what side politicaly one leans.

Good morning, Ally! THe whole Chris Wallace thing shows how “the other side” is so quick to jump to conclusions based on their very narrow frame of reference. I was on my way to the airport Friday morning during the Chris Wallace appearance so I didn’t see it, but I watched the clip just a few minutes ago of Bryan walking off the set. HILARIOUS!!! Anyone who has watched F&F for more than a week knows that Bryan walks off the set on a regular basis…just because he’s Bryan!! He absolutely wasn’t quitting the show ~ anyone who has watched Bryan knows that his sense of humor is whacky which just adds to his boyish charm!
Seriously, I’m not surprised that the blogs on the far left latched onto this like a bunch of pit bulls and tried to make an issue of something picayune; Brian probably had to use the rest room because he drinks so many smoothies or whatever he drinks now.

I think a lot of the Obama/Wright flap has gotten out of hand. I agreed with Wallace that too much was being made out of the “typical” comment. Granted, i think there is a double standard on what whites can say about blacks vs. the other way around, but, as a middle class caucasian, i don’t have a big problem with that. We are the majority, we have the power.

Hearing the other black preacher slamming Obama seemed unnecessary and gratuitous as well. Obama’s lack of experience and socialist policies should be enough to discuss and debate. I would rather hear more about that. Not as sexy though is it?

I was flipping through channels yesterday morning and heard someone mention Fox and Friends, so I stopped to listen. Sure enough, they showed the first part of the Chris Wallace clip. The discussion then became a clear attempt to bash Fox. It is amazing how desperate the other networks are!

I watch the show every morning — obviously the people who thought Brian’s deal was real don’t! The show is great because of unpredictable moments like that. I love the way you’re having fun with it this morning. I hope it didn’t cause the three of you any real trouble, though. Sometimes management doesn’t have much of a sense of humor.

Keep having fun and bringing us the news — Fair and Balanced!

The McCarthy comment was over the top!

Allison, with respect to Obama’s pastor’s video clips. Why has no one mentioned that those clips are contained on a CD that the church sells called, “The Best of Pastor Wright”? Well, just sit back and remember who Chris Wallace is related to, one of the biggest flaming Plablum Puking Liberals ever on CBS! Of course Chris is going to blow his own horn at anyone’s expense.

I’m sorry, but I don’t happen to think that just because a person is in an elected political position, a newscaster on a major network, a lawyer, an accountant, or in any profession, is better than anyone else. I have no respect for those people that show me no respect. It’s a two way street! You want respect then show me some respect. I’ll be the first to stand back and give you a chance but when you show me that you obviously think that you are better than me, well the deals off! And that’s what I hear everytime Chris Wallace speaks!

I spent 20 years in the military where convention said that a person who had one more stripe than me was suppossedly better than me. That’s so far off the mark it’s pathetic in civilian life. In the military it exists to keep discipline because an undisciplined soldier in a combat zone is sure to be a hazard to his fellow comrades. It doesn’t work that way out here!

We should all be respectful of each other and I believe we live our life trying to be that way but now and then a person or persons come along that obviously think they are better than everyone else. That’s Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama,James Carvell, Mike Wallace, Rosie O’Donnell, Donald Trump, shall I go on? Most of the list could be summed up with one word – Democrat!

Chris and Brian had different opinions about this issue however I believe Chris was wrong to beat up on FOX & FRIENDS. This is a great morning show that gets my day started with serious issues and some light hearted fun.

McCain seems to be more to the left of center if you look at his approach to Illegal Aliens in this country with his Amesty Bill co-sponsored by Ted Kennedy. I am concerned about not being able to vote for any of them. I will write in Mitt Rommey because of his stance on issues that are of most concern to me.

I was shocked at Chris Wallaces comments on Friday. His face was set in stone, and he was very agitated to say the least.

But what concernd me as much, is the “spin” that Fox and Friends is trying to put on the whole ordeal———-focusing on the fake walk off, rather then the real facts, that Chris blind sided his co-Fox journalist. COMMON ON PEOPLE———he was really off base, call it for what it is!!! You would have thought it was Chris Mathews, not Chris Wallace. This IS big news, don’t think we’re too dumb to notice!!!

I saw Friday’s show and Chris Wallace, a decent guy and competent journalist, got it wrong with regards to Brian. At least twice during the show Brian did gives us the whole story with regards to Obama’s “typical” remark. But Wallace was right to criticize Gretchen and Steve as they were not being totally forthcoming with the rest of the remark. I almost got the impression that they didn’t want the viewer to know the rest of the story so to speak. I think the main problem here is that the audio F&F played of Obama’s remarks should have never been clipped where it was. That was a bad choice. If it had played what Chris and Brian said, this would never have been an issue. The person who decided to stop the audio there should be the one catching it.

And Brian’s walk-out was done in jest. I thought it was funny. Having said that, F&F took it a bit too far with all the staged walk-offs today.

I also can’t believe there is someone up above asking why no one is looking into Obama’s pastor. Where has this person been? It’s been non-stop Obama!

Why has so little been said about the quality of Hillary”s so called “35 years of experience.” Does learning your way around the White house for eight years(trying to find Bill with interns!) qualify as “presidential” experience?

I watched the Chris Wallace segment. I thought his opinion represented others in the audience. I agreed that the F&F coverage was a bit overdone as well, cutting the clip off at “typical white woman” was slanted. On the other hand, I’m not a democrate and it has not bothered me that the dems are imploding. In the end fair and balanced is reflected in allowing Chris Wallace have his say and tolerating that it didn’t match the “Friends”. The conflict added interest and was no big deal.

Although I usually enjoy Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, I felt he was out of line. Brian stated the appropriate avenue to take – e-mail the hosts with his observations. This would give the hosts the chance to review the show (as they did anyway) and make an objective decision whether they did or did not bash Obama. There were many articles and websites posting this “controversy”, most of those I glanced over were gleefully negative.
My husband felt that Chris was doing this to get Obama on his show.

Fox News always complains when other news organizations don´t run stories that they feel are worth covering. They claim some news organizations “bury” stories.

However, on the Fox News website, (as of 10:22 am) I see nothing about the number of US casulties in Iraq reaching 4,000.

Chris Wallace is the one with the problem. If anyone watched the show on Friday their was no one-sided opinion. Does anyone know how to have fun anymore, and discuss a topic without being so serious and super critical. Just relax, listen and have fun, life if tough enough without some people making it worse.

If the pundits that defend Rev. Wright would answer one question for me I might be willing to forget about his hateful rhetoric. Why is he spewing his hatred at the very generation who saw the injustice to African Americans and did something about it in civil rights legislation, anti discrimination legislation and affirmative action legislation? And, if Sen. Obama expects me to believe he was unaware that his pastor and “spiritual mentor” of over 20 years was a raging racist then how can he expect me to trust his judgment when selecting people to run an Obama administration? The senator can’t have it both ways.

I have also wondered what happened to Kelly Wright on the weekend. I wish you would explain why certain changes are made. I hate it when someone disappears and no one knows why.

I heard of a video on youtube of the good friend of Bill Clinton who is a pastor in a Harlem church.
I went on that site and at the ripe old age of 71 was quite shocked at the vulgar language he was
spouting and at the way he was criticizing his congregation for what he called hypocricy. He was
talking about all the “good” things Bill did for them in Harlem as he left office and now they are
abandoning him for Obama. Rev. Wright’s comments pale in comparison to this David James
Manning’s. There was also a video of him on John Gibson’s program where John called him “the
honorable David James Manning”. There was NOTHING honorable about what I saw and heard
on this vile and filthy video. There were young men standing behind the man as he spoke and
the entire scene sickened me. If this is what the young black people of our country are hearing
every Sunday, there is no way they can ever have a good feeling about themselves or about our
great country. It seems apparent to me that the older folks of the black community are promoting
all the hatred and distrust we see and these rantings do nothing but fuel the fire. Now I know this
man is not actually Bill’s pastor, but where is the mention and coverage of this disburbing video?

I met Chris Wallace in an elevator back in October in Orlando at the Presidential Debates. He was so incredibly unfriendly my mother & I were taken aback. I don’t know if he had a bad evening the night before or an awful morning, but he was so unfriendly.

I have often wondered about the banter between Chris and Brian. At times, Chris seems to be hostile towards him.

I disagreed with Obama’s comment that his grandmother’s reaction was typical of a white person, even if you look at the full context of the statement. When walking down a street, most people are cautious and can be affected by many factors. I think all races could be affected by the dress, manner, and color of another person.

I love Fox and Friends. I am very upset with the way Chris treated you Friday. He did exactly what he accused you of doing by watching only parts of the show and stating what little he saw as fact. You did show the entire Obama comment and then we had to sit and listen to Chris read it again. He isn’t very smart to attack someone on their own show where he should know those of us who watch are loyal to you and we love you. Your show is so much fun to watch, but the Chris attack made me feel very uncomfortable.

Before this, I liked it when Chris came on your show, but I will never have the respect for him that I had before today. He should apologize, but even that won’t change the way I feel about him now.

Chris was completely Out of Line! How would he like it if someone walked on his show and read him the riot act? If he had a beef he should have taken it up with the producers not the cast. He should be taken to the woodshed for his actions.

They were right in their pursuit of the story as the networks seem to be giving Obama a pass on this issue.

I have been a fan of F&F for years, but this is the first time I’ve ever blogged. I love your show and DVR it each week day. We slept in too Friday, but now with the hubbub, I’ve got Friday’s show rolling to see the actual footage.

On a different note, my husband and I are taking a 2 week vacation, alone without offspring, for the first time, since our honeymoon. This is a celebration of our 28th anniversary and a finish of 22 years of homeschooling our 4 kiddos. We’ve never been on the east coast, but we’d love to come by F&F! Do you have suggestions about attractions we should visit? We’re tentatively planning on traveling east from Kansas to Washington DC, then up the coast to Maine.

I’d love to hear your ideas.

Love you guys/gals I watch every morning. I did see the show friday, Chris in my opinion was way out in left field. Who does he think he is? He (THINKS) he is right, about everything…but we know ,he is not. And he did act like he was your Boss, calling you down, when he Admitted he had not seen the whole show. What a Popinjay. Got that from Mr. Bill.

Allow me to commend you, the hosts of Fox and Friends for your very professional behavior when Chris Wallace took you “to task” regarding the “excessive” coverage of Obama. I was listening on XM so I could not see your expressions, but you handled this unsuspecting attack with great aplomb and dignity while managing to defend your stance (of which I agree 100%). My impression is that Wallace believes he is superior to the three of you together (Of which is disagree 100%) thus felt he could condemn you in the very unprofessional and arrogant manner that he did. I could understand a democratic strategist as a guest making those accusations, but one of Fox’s own employees? I’ve never seen anything like it. He needs to be taken off his perch a little. Thanks. You once described yourself as perky and _____ I don’t recall the second adjective but I believe it meant with substance. You were being compared to Katie Couric at the time. It’s been driving me crazy ever since, not being able to remember that word.

Watch F&F everyday. Would someone tell that Big Keith O guy on the other cable show to lighten up on Brian and the rest of you. I did watch the show Friday and at first thought ‘What the heck?’ but soon realized it was another crazy act by Brian. Of course I was half asleep being from the west. Alisyn, I dvr every morning the show and watch it later, I was so upset when I saw what wallace said, I emailed you all and sent one to him, he was so condensending and I could not beleive that he actually was scolding them, I had to call my daughter in to see this, how dare him come on and it was obvious he did not really watch it straight thru as he said, who is he to get all over them for so called ” bashing”, and then to say enough is enough, why does he not call up msnbc, cnn and 60 MINS. ( his father mike wallace) and tell them ENOUGH IS ENOUGH , QUIT BASHING PRESIDENT BUSH AND HIS ADMINISTRATION, THE WAR, AND REPUBLICANS FOR THAT MATTER, talk about a double standard, as I wrote in my email to FOX AND FRIENDS and chris, if it were not for BRIT, BILL KRISTOL, I would not even watch his show on Sundays. I just don’t understand how there can be any excuse for insensitive statements, no matter who is making them. If Steve would’ve said the same thing with “black man” interjected..he would have been fired, labled a rascist, and doomed as a commentator. In my opinion I do believe that Sen. Obama is a rascist and I also believe that his church is a radical/rascist church.

Six brothers and sisters and everyday when we talk all over the U.S. we talk about what when on on Fox and Friends. Especially brother-in-law Lee! He will just die when he reads the blogs. What happened to Kelly Wright and you on the weekend edition? The blather that goes on now between the hosts drives me crazy. It is like at least two of them are always competiting to see who can get in the most words. I talk fast, but they can beat me! Sorry, will have to watch something else or just keep the tv off.

I never knew about this controversy until they talked it up on “other news” with Willie Giest on Morning Joe. (you were on a commercial break)
They made such a huge deal out of it I thought, Wow!

I frankly was shocked that Chris Wallace, whom I do like and enjoy, would so blatantly rake you all over the coals like that on live tv. Some of you looked like you were going to jump out of your skin. What was eating him that day !!!

The talking points lately have created such an up roar with all the news media that it has taken the attention off what the story is really about. The news is the news. The story isn’t about what Obama’s pastor’s remarks were anymore or if McCain is going to be put on the back burner during the Democratic Primaries, but rather fighting about who’s opinion is correct regarding the issues. What ever happened to giving the news. I know shows like Fox and Friends, Bill O’Reilly and Hannity & Colmes are shows for discussions, and that is okay, but they are turning out to be “The New Jerry Springer Shows”. Where are the bouncers?

I was a bit surprised seeing that interchange between Chris Wallace and the F&F hosts and had to back up the DVR to catch the whole thing. It was great TV!

Chris was angry, You could see it in his face. I have never liked him Do not know why Fox hired him.It is probably because of his Dad, and he will never be anywhere like his Dad. He is trying to ride in on his Dad’s coattail. Mike has a personality and Chris has none. Most of the time he looks like he is mad at the world I watched one of his shows when came to Fox and realized his attitude was not something I wanted to see and hear. Always watched Fox from2p.m. until bedtime. Now I only watch Greta in athe evening. Bill O’Reilly gets more distateful and rude to his guests If they do not answer what he wants then he cuts their time off. I like Alan on H&C but Sean is turning into another Bill O’Reilly. It is hard to decide which one of them are the most conceited I have switched to MSNBC in the evenings.

ok, now I see why people are periodically complaining. I spent my time 2 days ago composing a polite, thoughtful post on this topic, and it disappears into thin air. Swell.

Chris Wallace is a decent human being, who reports news in a fair & balanced manner. The three of you sitting on that couch so early in the morning is a toal disgrace to the journalism profession.

Hi Alynisn I am suprised over the vuglaur stuuf coming out of the obama camp. Its hillary running not bill , she can have any husband she likes they have been married for a long time and they deserve better than for people to ask their daughter about marital problems. shame on the press its none of you business.And if obamas wife would straighten up. she cant be proud of my country then she cant be the first lady. I saw the Chris Wallace insult of last Friday and was amazed that he was given a “pass” today. I’d love to see the rumble with Bryan and Wallace, my money is definitely on Brian, regardless of his color choices. I’ve been watching Fox and Friends for years and enjoy the fair and balanced approach to important topics. You all do a great job, keep up the good work.
