Morning Ms. Alisyn,

I hope that the Spitzer story is taking a rest for the day at least.

I’m thinking that any Republican should be thanking the Dems today for two very good campaign talking points for the next week or so.

The first is the budget just cobbled out last night that it seems wipes out millions in tax relief. Now some would claim that it “ONLY” effects..(fill in the blank). However any business that is over taxed always ensures its bottom line and passes on the extra cost to us and more than likely lays off people.

The second is the Dems inability to establish rules of their own primary and then follow them. I can just hear that being the answer to anythnig that the Dems offer in the way of policy. i.e. “We are only going to raise taxes on the rich”. “But how do we know if you establish such a policy that you will stick with it and not include the middle class given your record on changing policy when it suits you?”

TGIF and so I wish you, the staff at FOX and you bloggers a great weekend.

Is anyone else suffering from campaign fatigue? The political campaigning has been going on nearly non-stop for the past 4+ years and it’ll be 5 years by the time November rolls along (Lord, I hope we don’t have another long count!).

Three references to green:

1. It’s one of my favorite colors.

2. It’s an area at Fox & Friends.

3. It’ll put you in a pinch, if you’re
not wearing it on Monday.

How could a supposed “man of God” make such statements?

Good morning Aly! First, thank you for the other day(you removed a comment of mine on request)…

I’m reading alot about this mortgage mess, but one thing I’m not hearing is any borrower responsibility…Any homeowner that refi’d into an ARM(adjustable rate mortgage) had 3 days to read and get counsel on what they signed, now all I hear is BAD LENDERS…Bad lenders?…Nobody would do to themselves what is happening and yet to happen to them…Never stop smiling, me and my wife watch every morning!…

It really never ceases to amaze me that for most of the news media, right now their focus isn’t solely on this sex scandal with ex-gov Spitzer, but it’s on how this 22-year-old call girl is going to get rich off of this whole deal. WHERE’S THE CONDEMNATION FOR THIS “PROFESSION” that she’s chosen to engage in, and at such a young age? You hear absolutely none of that. It’s a sad commentary on the way people look at situations like this in general today, where there’s really not much moral outrage for anyone involved except the person who got caught. And much of it is because of what the media focuses in on, the “juicy” parts of the whole deal.

Yes, I realize it’s because of who Spitzer is/was and the position of authority he held with the state and all, and that would definitely be newsworthy. But why are the moral judgements being made solely against him and not also at this girl, who, judging by her photos, could probably have a good career going in modeling or something along those lines, something that’s far more legitimate than ‘hooking’.

But NOOOOOOO, rather than seeing ANYONE come out and say “we need to help this girl get into something that’s more dignified and less immoral and dangerous”, what do they want to do? You have them already talking about taking her further into depravity and perversion by pointing out that filth and sleaze like “Penthouse” and “Hustler” are getting in line to make money off of her.

It’s just really, really sad how low, morally, things just keep getting. (By the way, Alisyn, I’ve enjoyed seeing more of your attractive face and sparkling personality this week while you substituted for Gretchen. Could we, the public, be seeing more of you in any other Fox News capacity in the future?)

Good morning! Yesterday, as I sit by my t.v. watch Fox & Friends (love, love, love Brian K.)!!!! there was a short line running at the bottom of my t.v. screen, something about a bombing in Baghdad and a couple of our people died. I’m a single mother of one, who is currently serving in Iraq withe the 101st Airborne Division in Baghdad. Was there any focus on this? No, the “top story” was Spitzer, how he spent $80,000….I am still desperately waiting to hear from my son that he is okay and the majority of our public is sucked in to the Spitzer story…reminds me of all of the hipe on Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith. What has happened to us?

Good bless our troops!

Morning Alu,Barack and Michelle scare the hell out of me…after sitting sunday after sunday listening to the Rev. Wright spew racist and hateful, discusting filth there is no doubt they have made it a part of their lives. Michell made that clear with her ‘first time in my life’ remark…Barak even named his book after one of his sermons, I think we have to hear the sermon to know what his inspiriation truly was. He is an elitist racist and points the finger at Hillary and the media helps him. He likes to compare himself to the kennedy’s…well they assinated JFK abd RFK…this country should be as lucky with him, the thaught of what might have been would be worth more than the reality. He is stepping back from all his past associates,,,I don;t trust him or his judgment. Thank you darlene

Hello alisyn, I am new to this, there is a story that I would like the news media to cover, it’s about a disturbing issue in this country that I can’t shake off, and no one is opening there eyes to it, maybe it’s because no one really wants to know, and this is something that most working families need in this country, it’s a shame. Is this where I blurt it out or do I submit an email somewhere?

Good Morning Alyson,

Let’s see, Barack Obama has attended Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years, considers him a mentor and an inspiration for his book “The Audacity of Hope” but doesn’t share any of Wright’s warped and maladjusted Anti Americanism, Racism, or Radicalism ? If you believe that I’ve got a bridge that I’d like to sell you. The inane rantings of Obama’s non-politician wife give an obvious witness to both her and Barack’s twisted perception of reality.

Obama’s roots of radicalism go way back just consider Frank Davis member of the Communist Party USA and friend of Obama’s mom who mentored young Barack when he was a teenager.

Radical anti-americanism and racism are nothing new to this guy. Why do you think that he’s so comfortable attending Jeremiah Wright’s Circus every Sunday?

Of course John McCain lacks the balls, integrity, courage and ability to deal with this issue head on. What else is new?

Alyson,

I’m not a Hillary, Barak or John McCain supporter but thought you might be interested in what another preacher is saying about politics. These youtube videos were forwarded to me today and, frankly, I’m shocked at some of the comments. I have to say it is nearly as divisive as Obama’s pastor! Actually, on youtube, there are many controversial statements made by this pastor of a tax-exempt organization, his church!!!

Yea, America is tired of politics in general. Politicians, they disappoint us, they are never truthful, because they cannot tell the truth. I don’t know about you, but the choice we have this year, such as Obama Lama, Hilroy, and McCain doesn’t leave too much for the imagination, or for the future of this country. This latest thing with Spitzer, is tragic! His family suffers, but when he was having sex, I’m sure that the gal he was with was the only one suffering, if you know what I mean.

Wasn’t the Earmark legislation one of the few things passed during Pelosi’s first year as Speaker of the House? She listed it as an accomplishment but it seems it had so many loopholes in it that it is virtually worthless. It would be interesting to know how many and the amount of earmarks she has added to bills.

I think the media should be more assertive in getting Hillary to release the earmarks she has added to bills. I believe Obama already has.

Good Morning,

I have to say it. When I hear that the majority of the folks in New York are outraged about Gov. Spitzer, I shake my head. The bottom line is that the male portian of this group are not that upset. They cannot say how they really feel because of the distain from women and the politically correct establishment. Believe me, when men gather at the workplace and dicuss the matter, they don’t talk about how terrible it is. We all understand. Maybe the wives of america should ask themselves why we feel this way, instead of assunming all men are animals. Thanks, I feel better now. Tom from West Virgina.

I am a registered ‘R’…and I am NOT going to cross party lines to vote ‘D’…however, Obama’s mentor is OFF of his rocker.

Obama graduated from Ivy-league at about 30, was
elected at 32 and then bought a $1.6M house - not
exactly under-privileged and poor. I think his house
purchase was a scam - the deal with the Syrian turned
Chicago mobster Rezko may come back to haunt Obama.

Can you imagine if a white guy running for Pres belonged
to an AryianAmerican church that preached “white values”,
“white power” and complained about black people being C
students in positions of power? Actually, Obama’s church
and the Aryian Nation have a lot in common - they both
hate Jews and Mexicans.

Great Day To Be Hooker?……

Just as you said on the show, isn’t wonderful what an example we are setting. Now that this girl has been exposed her act is worth millions. Mag covers, music, interviews and who knows maybe a music video? It is sickening to think about.

And this pastor. I’m an Obama fan, but this guy is nuts. The US invented HIV to reduce the number of blacks? Did I hear that right? Now who’s keeping racism alive????

Oh well, it’s Friday! Hope you have a great weekend.

I am NOT understanding WHY there is even a consideration for doing “do-overs” in Michigan and Florida.

Now, I have SYMPATHY for residence who voted (or did NOT vote) and their votes are truly abandon. The residence didn’t “vote” to have their states break the rules.

Both Hillary and Obama KNEW the deal beofre the election in those states.

They both AGREED, publically and politically to move forward despite the delegates NOT counting.

That should be the END of it. No “do-over”. No talk, no money spent, no issues…..it is what it is. OVER.

Your great and I think Fox should make you the morning anchor during the entire show from 6am-9am.

Ally,

My fiance who is a teaher wants to know if any of you have ever had to spend 8 hours on your feet in a classroom with skittles all over the floor. The student knew the rules and any teacher will tell you that their biggest disciplinary problems are parents who say my Johnny’s a little angel.

As to the Luv Gov, she wants to know what kind of kink he had to go out for because he couldn’t get it at home.

Comment by Alisyn Camerota

Please tell your fiance no, I haven’t tried that. But I have tried sitting in a classroom for 8 hours without any candy. And that’s no day at the beach either.

Check out the website for Pastor White’s church. It contains a line in their mission statement concerning their only loyalty is to the Mother Country, Africa. An Afro-Centric belief system. I want a President whose first loyalty is to the U.S. I am surprised no one has reported much on this focus of Obama’s church

Comment by Jerry

This comment I am sure is not “politically correct”, but is anyone ever going to say it…..Obama’s “preacher” is the type that adds fuel to the fire in the ongoing racial debate. Obama is very close to him so what does that tell you. We should be scared if he gets elected. The democrats care more about being a democrat than what is right in many areas for this country. Going downhill with this sort of leadership. Blacks can’t be questioned, commented on , looked at wrong or we are racial. I am tired of hearing about their “struggles”. Take control of your own life and stop expecting the rest of us to take care of you.

morning..concerning the so-called rev. IF you follow a trail..Obama’s wife also shared that anti-establishment/Militant black outlook. When she said ..that it was the only time since she has been an adult that she is proud…it isnt as direct as the rev’s..but it is in the overall philosophy. Also I connect by watching his type of speech style. It Changes to the crowd, and often is a Reverend, Martian Luther pulpit style… even his own book takes his rev words.
I dont buy into the stand that he the wanna be president doesnt deep down buy into this. But he could never outwardly say these things , but his actions, personal relationships, and spouses speech play into the “blame the establishment”..
If he didnt have that type of air..the black culture would not see him as one of them. Look at how they talk about republican black people. They wont come out and say they are Uncle toms..just they dont agree with there view pionts….just do the research..it is all in front from interviews with black leaders.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the rest of the world started seeing a side to Obama that a small part of the “Us” were seeing. For some reason he has been a pied piper and people have been following his direction with out much influence other than a glorious word of change. Obama is surrounded by hate mongers and he can no longer deny it. He must either denounce these people and excuse them from his life, or except them as a part of his life and show the world who he truly is, a racist hate monger.

On the Florida Democratic revote. The Democrat’s all knew that they could loose their delegates. But BOTH parties voted to move the primary. http://www.myfloridahouse.com/Sections/Bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=35049&SessionId=54
In the Senate the vote to move the primary was 37 to 2 and the original bill was sponsored by a Democrat Senator Ring SB 1010. In the House the vote was 118 to 0.

The House staff analysis warned everyone that they could loose delegates. http://www.myfloridahouse.com/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=h0537.EE.doc&DocumentType=Analysis&BillNumber=0537&Session=2007. This year primary had the best turnout for a primary by Democrats ever. Why shouldn’t Florida have a major part in picking who the parties run as their candidates. Florida is a state that mirrors the rest of the nation in many ways.

I have been watching the reporting of Obama’s pastor very closely. As a member of the United Church of Christ, I am pleased this guy is being outed. The United Church of Christ has evolved over time by the merging of different denominations. The local church I am a member of is deeply rooted in a branch of the UCC which was conservative by nature and much like the Lutheran church.

My congregation’s membership is conservative to moderate by nature, so, many of our members spend very little time talking about or publicly supporting the denomination of which we belong. I personally will not allow any of my contributions be sent to the denomination. All of my contributions go to our local congregation and some special ministries. You might ask why I continue to belong to the UCC. It is all about being a part of community made up of close friends and family.

The UCC leadership is beyond liberal. I am not surprised in the least that the UCC has not denounced Obama’s pastor. If the UCC leadership was put through a very intense interview and that leadership gave honest answers, my guess is their attitudes and beliefs would not be that far off from Pastor Wright’s beliefs.

The bottom line is I am ashamed I am even remotely associated with the United Church of Christ as are many of my fellow members of my local church.

I am from canada, but all reletives are from the usa. Please no more on the prostitute. Your daughters will catch on really quick on how to make a million dollars and end up in the gutter. All news staions are making this hooker rich. So she had a rough time at home so what she did not want to follow the rules so she became a hooker? I feel for her parents, not hearing the other fair and balanced side from them how could you report what she said. Also my comment on obama, if people aren’t carefull every women might ending up wearing a burka. I keep going back to the bible he is alredy born people will love him but will try and destroy. think about it. think about the teachings he is getting and if president if you don’t think he will bring this preacher into the mix oh man the usa is in trouble more than you think. This is just my observation. I started watching world news after the towers fell, canadians were in shock. I have not stopped watching cnn and fox news, and have learned so much about the state of our social planet. There is one thing I do know, don’t diss canada about trade. We are not killing people with unsafe products, china is. Also remember canada was involved in all wars standing beside the americans and what they believe in. We also had many that died along side our american troops for a better safe world. thats it for this morning. jayne

As a person who works in human resources with his employer, what is the fascination with young people who do deviant things and then post them on the internet for the world to see? When we interview someone we also “google” them when they leave. If something stupid shows up
that person will never be asked back for a second interview.

Ali, as an upscale, young, professional woman please strees to young people when you are out (like you were in Ohio last week) in communities the importance of thinking of consequences for foolish behavior. The videos and postings on the internet do not lie!!!

Hello! Here’s what’s on my mind — I was “raised Republican” and have evaluated my own political beliefs sufficiently over the past few years to conclude that I am fiscally conservative, but moderate on social issues. At the age of 24, I still feel the social pressure of my generation to be liberal. Never being one to “follow the crowd”, I am not subject to this … but so many voters in my cohort are! What is it about the Democratic party that is so trendy?

Comment by Teresa H

Let me start by saying that I would be so very sad if my daughter were involved in prostitution. I think it’s a terrible decision for any woman. That said, I would like to point out that prostitution as a whole would not exist if there wasn’t a market for it. In other words, no buyers…no suppliers. I just hate that this young woman decided to turn to prostitution as a career. But the point is that if so many men wouldn’t pay for sex, prostitution wouldn’t exist. I think this should be the real story, not focusing on this woman. And, I’m a bit concerned that the more we focus on Ashley, the more we forget about Spitzer. She is more like a “Jennifer Flowers” than a monster that many are making her out to be. She shouldn’t be a prostitute, but there shouldn’t be any prostitutes! It’s just a matter of supply and demand!!!

Here’s something I bet you won’t even believe. The Toronto District School Board (Toronto, Canada) has passed a motion to create a segregated school! Their ideology, is that creating a school with an africentric curriculum will encourage black youth to remain in school, and decrease the drop out rate. The Toronto School Board says that it is not a segregated school because all students can attend. I know this is happening in Toronto and not here, but I think it is an issue that should be brought to the forfront. As an educater and a human being, I am in disbelief that in the 21st century, a diverse and truely multi cultural city like Toronto would create such a school.
And that’s what I think! Thank you Alisyn.
