Morning Ms. Alisyn,

I hope that the Spitzer story is taking a rest for the day at least.

I’m thinking that any Republican should be thanking the Dems today for two very good campaign talking points for the next week or so.

The first is the budget just cobbled out last night that it seems wipes out millions in tax relief. Now some would claim that it “ONLY” effects..(fill in the blank). However any business that is over taxed always ensures its bottom line and passes on the extra cost to us and more than likely lays off people.

The second is the Dems inability to establish rules of their own primary and then follow them. I can just hear that being the answer to anythnig that the Dems offer in the way of policy. i.e. “We are only going to raise taxes on the rich”. “But how do we know if you establish such a policy that you will stick with it and not include the middle class given your record on changing policy when it suits you?”

TGIF and so I wish you, the staff at FOX and you bloggers a great weekend.

Is anyone else suffering from campaign fatigue? The political campaigning has been going on nearly non-stop for the past 4+ years and it’ll be 5 years by the time November rolls along (Lord, I hope we don’t have another long count!).

Three references to green:

1. It’s one of my favorite colors.

2. It’s an area at Fox & Friends.

3. It’ll put you in a pinch, if you’re
not wearing it on Monday.

How could a supposed “man of God” make such statements?

Good morning Aly! First, thank you for the other day(you removed a comment of mine on request)…

I’m reading alot about this mortgage mess, but one thing I’m not hearing is any borrower responsibility…Any homeowner that refi’d into an ARM(adjustable rate mortgage) had 3 days to read and get counsel on what they signed, now all I hear is BAD LENDERS…Bad lenders?…Nobody would do to themselves what is happening and yet to happen to them…Never stop smiling, me and my wife watch every morning!…

It really never ceases to amaze me that for most of the news media, right now their focus isn’t solely on this sex scandal with ex-gov Spitzer, but it’s on how this 22-year-old call girl is going to get rich off of this whole deal. WHERE’S THE CONDEMNATION FOR THIS “PROFESSION” that she’s chosen to engage in, and at such a young age? You hear absolutely none of that. It’s a sad commentary on the way people look at situations like this in general today, where there’s really not much moral outrage for anyone involved except the person who got caught. And much of it is because of what the media focuses in on, the “juicy” parts of the whole deal.

Yes, I realize it’s because of who Spitzer is/was and the position of authority he held with the state and all, and that would definitely be newsworthy. But why are the moral judgements being made solely against him and not also at this girl, who, judging by her photos, could probably have a good career going in modeling or something along those lines, something that’s far more legitimate than ‘hooking’.

But NOOOOOOO, rather than seeing ANYONE come out and say “we need to help this girl get into something that’s more dignified and less immoral and dangerous”, what do they want to do? You have them already talking about taking her further into depravity and perversion by pointing out that filth and sleaze like “Penthouse” and “Hustler” are getting in line to make money off of her.

It’s just really, really sad how low, morally, things just keep getting. (By the way, Alisyn, I’ve enjoyed seeing more of your attractive face and sparkling personality this week while you substituted for Gretchen. Could we, the public, be seeing more of you in any other Fox News capacity in the future?)

Good morning! Yesterday, as I sit by my t.v. watch Fox & Friends (love, love, love Brian K.)!!!! there was a short line running at the bottom of my t.v. screen, something about a bombing in Baghdad and a couple of our people died. I’m a single mother of one, who is currently serving in Iraq withe the 101st Airborne Division in Baghdad. Was there any focus on this? No, the “top story” was Spitzer, how he spent $80,000….I am still desperately waiting to hear from my son that he is okay and the majority of our public is sucked in to the Spitzer story…reminds me of all of the hipe on Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith. What has happened to us?

Good bless our troops!

Morning Alu,Barack and Michelle scare the hell out of me…after sitting sunday after sunday listening to the Rev. Wright spew racist and hateful, discusting filth there is no doubt they have made it a part of their lives. Michell made that clear with her ‘first time in my life’ remark…Barak even named his book after one of his sermons, I think we have to hear the sermon to know what his inspiriation truly was. He is an elitist racist and points the finger at Hillary and the media helps him. He likes to compare himself to the kennedy’s…well they assinated JFK abd RFK…this country should be as lucky with him, the thaught of what might have been would be worth more than the reality. He is stepping back from all his past associates,,,I don;t trust him or his judgment. Thank you darlene

Hello alisyn, I am new to this, there is a story that I would like the news media to cover, it’s about a disturbing issue in this country that I can’t shake off, and no one is opening there eyes to it, maybe it’s because no one really wants to know, and this is something that most working families need in this country, it’s a shame. Is this where I blurt it out or do I submit an email somewhere?

Good Morning Alyson,

Let’s see, Barack Obama has attended Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years, considers him a mentor and an inspiration for his book “The Audacity of Hope” but doesn’t share any of Wright’s warped and maladjusted Anti Americanism, Racism, or Radicalism ? If you believe that I’ve got a bridge that I’d like to sell you. The inane rantings of Obama’s non-politician wife give an obvious witness to both her and Barack’s twisted perception of reality.

Obama’s roots of radicalism go way back just consider Frank Davis member of the Communist Party USA and friend of Obama’s mom who mentored young Barack when he was a teenager.

Radical anti-americanism and racism are nothing new to this guy. Why do you think that he’s so comfortable attending Jeremiah Wright’s Circus every Sunday?

Of course John McCain lacks the balls, integrity, courage and ability to deal with this issue head on. What else is new?

Alyson,

I’m not a Hillary, Barak or John McCain supporter but thought you might be interested in what another preacher is saying about politics. These youtube videos were forwarded to me today and, frankly, I’m shocked at some of the comments. I have to say it is nearly as divisive as Obama’s pastor! Actually, on youtube, there are many controversial statements made by this pastor of a tax-exempt organization, his church!!!

Comment by Mark Christopher Pizzolato

Yea, America is tired of politics in general. Politicians, they disappoint us, they are never truthful, because they cannot tell the truth. I don’t know about you, but the choice we have this year, such as Obama Lama, Hilroy, and McCain doesn’t leave too much for the imagination, or for the future of this country. This latest thing with Spitzer, is tragic! His family suffers, but when he was having sex, I’m sure that the gal he was with was the only one suffering, if you know what I mean.

Wasn’t the Earmark legislation one of the few things passed during Pelosi’s first year as Speaker of the House? She listed it as an accomplishment but it seems it had so many loopholes in it that it is virtually worthless. It would be interesting to know how many and the amount of earmarks she has added to bills.

I think the media should be more assertive in getting Hillary to release the earmarks she has added to bills. I believe Obama already has.

Good Morning,

I have to say it. When I hear that the majority of the folks in New York are outraged about Gov. Spitzer, I shake my head. The bottom line is that the male portian of this group are not that upset. They cannot say how they really feel because of the distain from women and the politically correct establishment. Believe me, when men gather at the workplace and dicuss the matter, they don’t talk about how terrible it is. We all understand. Maybe the wives of america should ask themselves why we feel this way, instead of assunming all men are animals. Thanks, I feel better now. Tom from West Virgina.

I am a registered ‘R’…and I am NOT going to cross party lines to vote ‘D’…however, Obama’s mentor is OFF of his rocker.

Obama graduated from Ivy-league at about 30, was
elected at 32 and then bought a $1.6M house – not
exactly under-privileged and poor. I think his house
purchase was a scam – the deal with the Syrian turned
Chicago mobster Rezko may come back to haunt Obama.

Can you imagine if a white guy running for Pres belonged
to an AryianAmerican church that preached “white values”,
“white power” and complained about black people being C
students in positions of power? Actually, Obama’s church
and the Aryian Nation have a lot in common – they both
hate Jews and Mexicans.

Alisyn – I watch FF often enough to make the following observation and wonder if my perception is accurate. Are you being groomed to replace the female anchor who is regularly on FF (former MS Minnesota and Ms America – can’t recall her name). And this pastor. I’m an Obama fan, but this guy is nuts. The US invented HIV to reduce the number of blacks? Did I hear that right? Now who’s keeping racism alive????

Oh well, it’s Friday! Hope you have a great weekend.

I am NOT understanding WHY there is even a consideration for doing “do-overs” in Michigan and Florida.

Now, I have SYMPATHY for residence who voted (or did NOT vote) and their votes are truly abandon. The residence didn’t “vote” to have their states break the rules.

Both Hillary and Obama KNEW the deal beofre the election in those states.

They both AGREED, publically and politically to move forward despite the delegates NOT counting.

That should be the END of it. No “do-over”. No talk, no money spent, no issues…..it is what it is. OVER.

Alysyn,
The report on the kid who got in trouble for buying Skittles is not newsworthy and this is the third time your show has reported on this. Your news room needs focus on more important issues.
Your great and I think Fox should make you the morning anchor during the entire show from 6am-9am.

Comment by Alisyn Camerota

Thanks Mark — we’re just trying to inject some levity into the morning news. It can’t all be politics, hookers and failing economy, can it?

Ally,

My fiance who is a teaher wants to know if any of you have ever had to spend 8 hours on your feet in a classroom with skittles all over the floor. The student knew the rules and any teacher will tell you that their biggest disciplinary problems are parents who say my Johnny’s a little angel.

As to the Luv Gov, she wants to know what kind of kink he had to go out for because he couldn’t get it at home.

Comment by Alisyn Camerota

Please tell your fiance no, I haven’t tried that. But I have tried sitting in a classroom for 8 hours without any candy. And that’s no day at the beach either.

Check out the website for Pastor White’s church. It contains a line in their mission statement concerning their only loyalty is to the Mother Country, Africa. An Afro-Centric belief system. I want a President whose first loyalty is to the U.S. I am surprised no one has reported much on this focus of Obama’s church

Comment by Jerry

This comment I am sure is not “politically correct”, but is anyone ever going to say it…..Obama’s “preacher” is the type that adds fuel to the fire in the ongoing racial debate. Obama is very close to him so what does that tell you. We should be scared if he gets elected. The democrats care more about being a democrat than what is right in many areas for this country. Going downhill with this sort of leadership. Blacks can’t be questioned, commented on , looked at wrong or we are racial. I am tired of hearing about their “struggles”. Take control of your own life and stop expecting the rest of us to take care of you.

morning..concerning the so-called rev. IF you follow a trail..Obama’s wife also shared that anti-establishment/Militant black outlook. When she said ..that it was the only time since she has been an adult that she is proud…it isnt as direct as the rev’s..but it is in the overall philosophy. Also I connect by watching his type of speech style. It Changes to the crowd, and often is a Reverend, Martian Luther pulpit style… even his own book takes his rev words.
I dont buy into the stand that he the wanna be president doesnt deep down buy into this. But he could never outwardly say these things , but his actions, personal relationships, and spouses speech play into the “blame the establishment”..
If he didnt have that type of air..the black culture would not see him as one of them. Look at how they talk about republican black people. They wont come out and say they are Uncle toms..just they dont agree with there view pionts….just do the research..it is all in front from interviews with black leaders.

I knew it was only a matter of time before the rest of the world started seeing a side to Obama that a small part of the “Us” were seeing. For some reason he has been a pied piper and people have been following his direction with out much influence other than a glorious word of change. Obama is surrounded by hate mongers and he can no longer deny it. He must either denounce these people and excuse them from his life, or except them as a part of his life and show the world who he truly is, a racist hate monger.

On the Florida Democratic revote. The Democrat’s all knew that they could loose their delegates. But BOTH parties voted to move the primary. http://www.myfloridahouse.com/Sections/Bills/billsdetail.aspx?BillId=35049&SessionId=54
In the Senate the vote to move the primary was 37 to 2 and the original bill was sponsored by a Democrat Senator Ring SB 1010. In the House the vote was 118 to 0.

The House staff analysis warned everyone that they could loose delegates. http://www.myfloridahouse.com/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=h0537.EE.doc&DocumentType=Analysis&BillNumber=0537&Session=2007. This year primary had the best turnout for a primary by Democrats ever. Why shouldn’t Florida have a major part in picking who the parties run as their candidates. Florida is a state that mirrors the rest of the nation in many ways.

I have been watching the reporting of Obama’s pastor very closely. As a member of the United Church of Christ, I am pleased this guy is being outed. The United Church of Christ has evolved over time by the merging of different denominations. The local church I am a member of is deeply rooted in a branch of the UCC which was conservative by nature and much like the Lutheran church.

My congregation’s membership is conservative to moderate by nature, so, many of our members spend very little time talking about or publicly supporting the denomination of which we belong. I personally will not allow any of my contributions be sent to the denomination. All of my contributions go to our local congregation and some special ministries. You might ask why I continue to belong to the UCC. It is all about being a part of community made up of close friends and family.

The UCC leadership is beyond liberal. I am not surprised in the least that the UCC has not denounced Obama’s pastor. If the UCC leadership was put through a very intense interview and that leadership gave honest answers, my guess is their attitudes and beliefs would not be that far off from Pastor Wright’s beliefs.

The bottom line is I am ashamed I am even remotely associated with the United Church of Christ as are many of my fellow members of my local church.

I am from canada, but all reletives are from the usa. Please no more on the prostitute. Your daughters will catch on really quick on how to make a million dollars and end up in the gutter. All news staions are making this hooker rich. So she had a rough time at home so what she did not want to follow the rules so she became a hooker? I feel for her parents, not hearing the other fair and balanced side from them how could you report what she said. Also my comment on obama, if people aren’t carefull every women might ending up wearing a burka. I keep going back to the bible he is alredy born people will love him but will try and destroy. think about it. think about the teachings he is getting and if president if you don’t think he will bring this preacher into the mix oh man the usa is in trouble more than you think. This is just my observation. I started watching world news after the towers fell, canadians were in shock. I have not stopped watching cnn and fox news, and have learned so much about the state of our social planet. There is one thing I do know, don’t diss canada about trade. We are not killing people with unsafe products, china is. Also remember canada was involved in all wars standing beside the americans and what they believe in. We also had many that died along side our american troops for a better safe world. thats it for this morning. jayne

As a person who works in human resources with his employer, what is the fascination with young people who do deviant things and then post them on the internet for the world to see? When we interview someone we also “google” them when they leave. If something stupid shows up
that person will never be asked back for a second interview.

Ali, as an upscale, young, professional woman please strees to young people when you are out (like you were in Ohio last week) in communities the importance of thinking of consequences for foolish behavior. The videos and postings on the internet do not lie!!!

Hello! Here’s what’s on my mind — I was “raised Republican” and have evaluated my own political beliefs sufficiently over the past few years to conclude that I am fiscally conservative, but moderate on social issues. At the age of 24, I still feel the social pressure of my generation to be liberal. Never being one to “follow the crowd”, I am not subject to this … but so many voters in my cohort are! What is it about the Democratic party that is so trendy?

Comment by Teresa H

Let me start by saying that I would be so very sad if my daughter were involved in prostitution. I think it’s a terrible decision for any woman. That said, I would like to point out that prostitution as a whole would not exist if there wasn’t a market for it. In other words, no buyers…no suppliers. I just hate that this young woman decided to turn to prostitution as a career. But the point is that if so many men wouldn’t pay for sex, prostitution wouldn’t exist. I think this should be the real story, not focusing on this woman. And, I’m a bit concerned that the more we focus on Ashley, the more we forget about Spitzer. She is more like a “Jennifer Flowers” than a monster that many are making her out to be. She shouldn’t be a prostitute, but there shouldn’t be any prostitutes! Here’s something I bet you won’t even believe. The Toronto District School Board (Toronto, Canada) has passed a motion to create a segregated school! Their ideology, is that creating a school with an africentric curriculum will encourage black youth to remain in school, and decrease the drop out rate. The Toronto School Board says that it is not a segregated school because all students can attend. I know this is happening in Toronto and not here, but I think it is an issue that should be brought to the forfront. As an educater and a human being, I am in disbelief that in the 21st century, a diverse and truely multi cultural city like Toronto would create such a school.
And that’s what I think! Thank you Alisyn.

Good Mornin,

Its always nice to see your smilen face when I get home from work. I have lived in Ga all my life and I understood that you had to give the right away on the road to bycycles or pedestrians if your brave enough on some streets iin some towns. To operate a Lawn mower or a John Deere Tractor you don’t have to have a license. Maybe she should get her a horse an a buggy. If you get this morning will you give me a wink. You pretty thing,,, Keep up the good work we love ya’ll.
You know what would be funny if that cop had his teeth clean and she changed the records to have his 2 front teeth pulled. now that would be funny

THANK YOU,
Do you really think the 8th grader did not know CANDY was not allowed in school, I find that hard to believe. You basically showed kids that rules do not matter, they were made to be boken for any reason. If this kid was caught smoking in the boys room would you also believe that he did not know smoking was not allowed.
Again thank you for all the parents that are trying to teach their kids that rules DO MATTER.

I watch fox and friends every morning, and I must say I enjoy it very much. Thanks for pointing out the paster connection to obama. It scares the hell out of all of us. They hate white people. It was the past generation that screwed up, not the present but the african people will not see this and let it be. Be afraid be very afraid, if he is elected heven hep us. I can’t understand why they are treating him as a rock star. Why doesn’t someone ask him what he would do if iran takes over irac and then europe, what would he do. What will he do when a missle is directed toward the united states. So obama take the troops home even though they want to stay for a better world and then run to your bunker when it happens.

They have the nerve to call ms. Ferraro, racist !!!! Obama, Oprah, his good-buddy pal, the looney-toon Preacher, his wife who said she has never had a reason to like America, until she started to see her slick-talking man, fooling enough people, to possibly move her into the Whitehouse, etc.!! We know everything, and then some about hillary Clinton, but one thing I do know, like her or not, she loves her country, and all it stands for. I will proudly cast my vote for the most ready candidate, we could hope to have, Hillary Clinton !!! You go Girl !!!!–Arlene in NC.

Ms. Alisyn Camerota: 03/14/08

I may have misunderstood you this morning regarding how the vote is handled in the General election vs. the primary.

As you know the General vote is distributed by electoral votes. The total of all states is 538. The winner needs 270 electoral votes to win the Presidency.

In the General, the majority vote recipient is: winner takes all. There is no proportional distribution of the vote in the general election. Consequently, if Candidate A could win 51% of the vote in Alaska (3), Delaware (3), Washington D.C. (3), and Montana (3), they would receive 12 electoral votes. Candidate B would get 0 – nothing.

By contrast if Candidate A could win 51% of the vote in my state of Georgia (15), then Candidate A would have won more electoral votes than the other 4 states combined.

Consequently, if Candidate A got 51% of the vote in the larger states such as New York (31),
Ohio (20), California (55), and Texas (34), for a total of 140 electoral votes, then Candidate A
has a great argument for there ability to garner greater electoral votes than Candidate B.
A total of 140 to 0.

Ain’t politics great.

Good Morning
Please think about starting a blog or better yet a vote on fox and friends if people think car pooling would help lower gas prices. If a small percent of people would car pool this would have to provide extra gas and then gas prices would be lowered. It is simply supply and demand. Years ago when gas was under $1.00 per gallon most of us car pooled. All of us started making more money and just accepted the gas prices. It will take the news media to get the suggestion out to car pool and the first one to do so will get a lot of credit.

Ali,

It’s your blog but I had to check out Luke Meadors statement. If you delete it I will understand.

To: Luke Meadors

I checked out your comment. It does not say what you have reported. However, it is a mission statement that should cause concern. Here is the mission statement.

“Trinity United Church of Christ has been called by God to be a congregation that is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and that does not apologize for its African roots! As a congregation of baptized believers, we are called to be agents of liberation not only for the oppressed, but for all of God’s family. We, as a church family, acknowledge, that we will, building on this affirmation of “who we are” and “whose we are,” call men, women, boys and girls to the liberating love of Jesus Christ, inviting them to become a part of the church universal, responding to Jesus’ command that we go into all the world and make disciples!

We are called out to be “a chosen people” that pays no attention to socio-economic or educational backgrounds. We are made up of the highly educated and the uneducated. Our congregation is a combination of the haves and the have-nots; the economically disadvantaged, the under-class, the unemployed and the employable.

The fortunate who are among us combine forces with the less fortunate to become agents of change for God who is not pleased with America’s economic mal-distribution!

W.E.B. DuBois indicated that the problem in the 20th century was going to be the problem of the color line. He was absolutely correct. Our job as servants of God is to address that problem and eradicate it in the name of Him who came for the whole world by calling all men, women, boys and girls to Christ.”

You can feel free to respond to anyone on here. As long as it’s not nasty.

What I don’t understand about the voting in Florida and Michigan is why Obama was not on the ballot in the first place. If Hillary had the opportunity to be on Michigan’s ballot surely Obama could have managed the same. And, if they want to have a re-vote, let the money come out of their campaign funds. Don’t use taxpayer money to pay for their silly fight.

And, I love Obama’s plan to raise taxes 12% for those making over $97000//year. Between that and price of gas, we will have even more homes in foreclosure.

It’s quite scary how a pastor is so full of hate and so close to 1 of 3 candidates for the Presidency of the United States, (who married Barack & his wife, baptized his children, and he attentded his church for 20 yrs-where he “found Jesus”)… this pastor has had an influence over Barack & so many black people-perputuating lie after lie and hate after hate…

Kind of like the Manchurian Candidate… we have Barack perhaps winning the Presidency not knowing WHO HE really is… and then what are we going to hear him spew out of his mouth, weild from his pen, ally with the wrong people… ETC (Look at Harry Reid-he’s already got both feet in his mouth-spewing all sorts of crap).

If we are going to create freedom in the United States (FIRST) then the world (SECOND), we need to be HONEST & CLEAR with the American People and others of WHO we are and WHAT we believe and that starts with the President. We need to know before he/she is in office.

I watch Fox and Friends News all the time and enjoy it because you are all honest and not afraid to tell what you really think about the issues. You tell it like it is instead of liberalizing everything like the others. I am very concerned about our country’s economic situation. The average american has to work and take care of their family which means they must have a vehicle. Gas prices are going higher and higher but wages are not keeping up with the rising prices of goods and services. The bigger problem is the rising diesel fuel prices. It is higher, much higher, than gas . Everything we have or buy or use has transportation costs involved and tractor trailers, trains, etc. run on diesel fuel. As it goes up so does everything else. The oil companies are making record profits month after month.People are using credit more and more to purchase fuel which hurts the economy. When foreign oil prices increase oil companies need to eat the increases or cut their operating costs instead of passing it on. Truckers should go on a national strike to draw attention to the diesel fuel situation. Why is diesel fuel higher than gas anyway? Our government officals better wake up to this situation or we will all be in the poor house. If they can figure a way to get diesel fuel costs lower goods and services costs will go lower too. Thanks, Don Allen Shelby, North Carolina

I have the day off. Anyway, no way would I stand with Eliot Spitzer as he gave his “goodbye” speech. I would be off at my attorney’s office, taking him for everything we owned. And also, he would be standing there with two black eyes, scratches on his face and a neck brace.

Why is Brian and Steve so mean to Chris? They have no social manners those two, none.

If Obama did not believe in what his Pastor was saying he could have left his church years ago, would not have married in this church, have his children baptized in this church, even most important have his children raised with these influences. We are all a product of our past and present influences in one way or another. I find it disturbing that people seem to be talking about damage control not what the core beliefs and preaching of his church and pastor.
As an adult I find most of the beliefs and behaviors I was taught by my family and church are exhibited daily in my personal and professional life. As an American we should know truth not spin or we are being cheated when we go to the polls.

Alisyn,
Were the cold blooded murders of the two college females racially motivated or just robberies gone “wrong” ? Race seems to be an underlying theme in curture, politics etc these days and no one is discussing it in depth. Seems eveyone is afraid. Doesn’t racism work both ways? I learned yesterday that one of the murderers had murdered before and I wonder why the police never caught him after the first time he killed. Any developing news on this story? Thanks, Chris

Why isnt this Ashley being prosecuted as a prostitute and why is she being allowed to profit from crime, ie her song, photo spreads and book deals. What’s good enough for the gander should be good enough for the goose as well. Not prosecuting her only sends a message to women that its ok to lure and seduce public figure men, only to walk on the crime of prostitution and profit from the future book deals.

Hi all, Love to watch you people in the morning! I just have one thing that has REALLY been driving me crazy.
Please stop letting the Florida Democrats BLAME the “Republican led” legislators for changing their dates. You guys are reporters! The Democrats were ONBOARD the entire way and voted FOR the change 5 (thats 5) separate times, in defiance of the DNC.

Please check out this email, written by Jon Ausman a Florida representative of the Democratic National Committee.
http://pushingrope.blogspot.com/2007/08/jon-ausman-vs-florida-democratic-party.html
“The Florida Legislature, with strong and active Democratic support,
moved the primary before 5 February to 29 January. This was not done
by Republicans over protesting Democratic legislators. The
Democratic legislators voted in five separate committees and in two
floor actions for the bill.
Some have attempted to state that Democrats only voted for the bill
because of the requirement to have voting machines with paper
ballots. That is not an accurate and true statement.
In fact, Democratic Legislators actively support the 29 January
primary in a number of votes before it was merged into the general
election bill. This was most unfortunate because by doing so the
FDP could no longer argue that we made a “good faith effort” to stop
the move by Republicans because in fact it was a bi-partisan move.”

Karen Thurman could hardly hold a straight face, when she hurried to add “a Republican led legislature” when questioned on how could it happen. Michigan is strangely quiet, could it be they had a Democratic Governor and no Republican in sight to blame? The FLA Democrat Officials are getting away clouding the issue by ducking behind the Republican Governor. UNREAL. Make them FESS UP!

Please.

I just responded with a message to LUKE MEASOWS. If the other bloggers are as adicted to current events as I am they may want to check out the following:

The other day you mentioned a couple of things about the price… they were dead on: the mental illusion that the price would make the sex astronomical-and the price was high because they were BUYING SECRECY.

Please stop talking about this sad girl who’s cashing in still on selling herself to the media for sex stories… those women fade out of the scene and are the perpetual butt end of jokes… some of the men like Clinton have staying power… why? What did he do that was so special, unzip his fly?

This is my first time writing to you. I feel totally sick inside and disgusted. It looks to me like all the politicians care about is winning for their party. I guess the people of America are secondary (maybe farther down the list). I feel like I’m watching a sporting event. When it was reported this morning that the representatives caucus every morning separating by Republican and Democratic parties to one up each other, I had a huge change of heart. Right now, I am thinking about protesting by not voting this year. Why should I?

I am a registered nurse who has worked “hard for the money” and “paid taxes” towards social security and medicare. I find it apalling that Kristen has made her “hooker” money and is not being prosecuted for tax evasion. Isn’t this a crime??? I’d like Fox and Friends to figure out the estimated income that she has had as a prostitute and what she owes in state and federal taxes.
Let’s talk about that…………..and force IRS to get the other hookers and their pimps/Emperor Guys while their at it.

Considering the concern for not enought money for my social security in come, I would expect that there be more concern about “Kristen” paying back taxes owed. She certainly can afford this now that she is “so famous”. She’s as much as a criminal as Elliot!! Why are we giving her so much attention for her advantage instead of her for her IOU’s???? Why is it that Ashley is being so criticized? HE went to her for the service! HE went to the escort service enough times to be numbered! It may not be a legal profession but he needs to take all the flack, not her. She was minding her own business, making a living, trying to better herself through being a musician and he was the one who decided to step out of the vows of marriage and fatherhood for his own purpose. He is an arrogant, pompous, stupid man whose bad choices have outweighed any of the good choices he made while he was in office.

Regarding Obama and his “former” minister. You don’t attend a church for 20 years if you don’t BELIEVE in what the Pastor is saying. Obama is just beginning to refer to this man as his “former” Pastor – ONLY because the Pastor retired a month ago. This is an attempt to distance himself from this man, but you can not “distance” yourself from someone who mentored you and led you for years!!! This is a reflection of some of Obama’s beliefs. He worshipped with this man for almost half of his lifetime! When is America going to take the time to REALLY learn about who Obama is? He followed this minister for years and even says he was INSPIRED by this man? No one really knows what Obama stands for other than “change” – is THIS the CHANGE America is looking for?

In case you missed it, watching McCain on Hannity last night, I found a different person than I thought he was (probably due to the all the hype I’ve heard, etc)… I have more respect for him ad his service… he does seem to be a straight shooter as he explained most of his negatives-immigration is dead until borders are secure; taxes are NOT to be raised on ANYONE; federalist judges; perhaps something more to look into.

I would like to know why the media has to spend so much time on the governors hooker? We have other news that are far more important than the hooker, what they did is wrong. And giving them media over and over again makes it seem that her profession is “A OKAY”, she is a hooker and she knew what she was doing is wrong. No matter how she was raised as a child or what happen to her during her chilhood. There comes a time that we reach the age of accountability and understanding and knowing what is right or wrong. It’s always someone elses fault, everyone is sorry because they got caught otherwise they would still be doing it. You know the problem with this country is the lack of intigrety and morals and values. And it starts in the home.

With regard to Sen. Obama -Aside from yesterday’s Reverend Relevation, Mrs. Obama had made that distasteful comment regarding her not having been proud to be an American before now. And then, there was debate time when Sen, Obama chose Not to wear an American flag pin on his lapel. I really question their patriotism.

When it comes to Ethics in Government, why would you want the Washington Hill-Bill-ies back in the Oval Office? Has everyone forgotten all that surrounds them, both from the Arkansas debacle and Bill’s Antics in The Oval Office (the most powerful Leader in the world). Just remember Power Corrupts, Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely! Shame on you America.

FOX PLZ REPLY. I commented around 8:30 on Democrats’ Primary Process and you didn’t post it… I would like to know why… because I asked the American People to get involved and call their congressmen? It is unAmerican.

Fair and Balanced means you should still be reporting what other may have been accusing you of… report the ‘right’ stuff too!

Congress has been against Bush, having ridiculous hearing after hearing, not passing any meaning bills, and spewing hatred for our country (Reid, Durbin, Schumer & Pilosi to start). People should call the Capitol switchboard 202-225-3121, tell them who your congressman is and when they connect you ask what they are doing to protect our country… have them pass the Protect America Act.

Hi, lve Fox & Friends, it is the best part of my day. Today Mr. Riva called Pastor John Hagee crazy. I know Mr.riva is extreme left wing, but does he have a personal problem with Pastor Hagee or like most leberals, evangelical Christians. I do not believe Mr. Ombamas pastor can be a true Christian, and hate another race as he does. Christians base their belief on Christ dying for all mankind, and also love and tolerance for those who wrong you. I will be watching evey morning, thanks for being there.

Good Friday Morning

I am so glad that out of all the Gov-call girl coverage…..Dr. Laura was on and said what more families need to do in their own homes. Honesty, there is nothing that will destroy a family quicker than covering or sugarcoating actions. I grew up in a home that way and it stops with always being honest with my children. Sometimes the “facing the truth” is against the grain of society. But truth and fact are a much better way to operate. It is good for our children to know we are not perfect and DO make mistakes. Thanks again for that segment.

Good Morning Alisyn,
I am a everyday Fox & Friends viewer, I watch while getting ready for work (RN) & pick up a few good topics to discuss at work.

Where are Kelly Wright, Paige Hopkins & Gretchen Carlison? I enjoyed these reporters & miss them.

Thanks,

Hi Alisyn-

In the best “balanced” way possible, pls encourage the Fox News Network to further pursue what’s really behind Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama’s relationship with this pastor and the Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago.

We all know that if Rev. Wright was “Rev. White”, Al Sharpton and others would be calling the racist card. Pls read what the church’s website says about “we are an African people” and its “committed to the mother land” Here is the website: http://www.tucc.org/about.htm

It’s very disturbing that Barack Obama who wants to be President of the United States of America has had any association with such a racist organization.

Thanks for reading..
Janet

I have to say that I am so disgusted with the Spitzer call girl story. When is enough enough!!! Thanks to the news media, this call girl will now be a millionaire writing books and a movie on a call girls life. I am sorry she was abused and had to leave her home as a teenager, but give me a break!! There are alot of people who have gone through some if not more hardships this this girl and they did not become a hooker. Some have become doctors, attorneys, sales executives, just to name a few, but to give this girl top billing every hour on the hour is vomitous.

Tell me more about our young people in Iraq and Afghanistan and the good things they are doing. I do not watch junk TV, but this felt like junk to me. You know what they say: ” Garbage in garbage out,” so grab the remote folks and turn it off.

Some ramblings with reference to the ‘re-do’ for Florida and Michigan!

Florida and Michigan knew the rules, did they not?
Obama and Clinton (and their people) knew and agreed to the rules, did they not?

Do the rules need to be tweeked/changed? Probably ——- ONLY this needs to be done AFTER this election and in place for the next election —— that way ALL will be on the same page from the beginning. HONEST people do not change rules in mid-stream/election or merely to suit their fancy. It would not be fair to any of those directly involved or the American people. All of our lives are full of rules/laws that we as a God fearing nation must adhere to. Sorry folks, but there is not a separate set of rules/laws for each one of us (eventhough some think they as individuals are so very special and entitled to whatever they want, no matter the cost or hurt that it might cause). We all should learn from decisions and/or mistakes that we make that don’t necessarily work out as we would like and move on and take steps (in the correct way) to see that the same ones don’t happen again. We must all work for what is best for our GREAT nation.

Everyone needs to get over themselves. People, don’t you realize (or even care) that the world is watching ‘US’ slowly self-destruct!!!

On a much lighter side — to ’somewhat’ quote Daryl Waltrip at the beginning of each NASCAR race,
“Boogety, Boogety, Boogety let’s go ‘racing/campaigning’” and Larry The Cable Guy when he says, “Gitter Done”!.

Enough said!!!

Greetings from all the way down here in the country of Chile….

May I have your permission to vent for a moment?

I am just a so tired of over paid prostitutes who earn ridiculas amounts of money for doing very minimal work for a very minimal amount of time (4 grand an hour?) and when they get caught, they portay the role of the victim? You must be joking.

As always in these prostitution cases, the media quickly drags in some women`s focus group to help us all understand how ALL prostitutes come from some sort of “broken home” or have some sort of drug related problem. This is not the majority of the cases and if they are, then someone is cooking the books.

How is this: Maybe most prostitutes just want to make a lot of fast and easy money? Could that be a reality maybe? Is that so hard to believe for everyone? Maybe prostitutes could be greedy maybe? Could that really be so far fetched?

Now, as Gov. Spitzer has left in shame for falling into temptation, the woman, (opps I meant to say “the victim”) who earned so much money (and apparently continued to do so for a long time before) will now become a star as she has always wanted. She will not be looked down upon in shame in the same way that Gov. Spitzer is. Pathetic.

Yes Gov. Spitzer hurt his family by not being able to control his temptations and he is and has and will be held accountable for this. However, Does the prostititute who practices in this type of activity now get a book deal? A record contract? A Penthouse spread? Good lord, I can hear her now saying to Penthouse, “I am a lady, I do not do those sort of things for your magazine” (sic).

When a drug dealer offers a narcotic to a user, we go after the drug dealer. We do not claim that he (or dare I say she?) must have come from a broken family and then offer the drug dealer a book deal and all sorts of things.

What message does this send to everyone? Be a prostitute. Make easy money and take advantage of men`s weaknesses? If you get caught, don`t worry, you will be potrayed as the victim and the “john” will have to take all the shame.

Anyone who buys any magazine or recording or anything with this woman`s name on it should be ashamed of themselves……sadly, the only one who has apologized for their behaivior is Gov. Spitzer and not the prostitution ring and certainly not the prostitute herself.

For shame…

This is so off topic but I needed to share it anyway. I hear of the brave and courageous men and women who die fighting to defend and protect our freedom. It did not hit home until this week. The parent of one of my students was killed in Iraq earlier this week. It broke my heart to hear the news and have to tell his sisters teacher the news. What did make me feel better is when I visited the family yesterday after school and my student was all smiles when he saw me at the door. He took my hand and started doing our songs from circle time. He may never understand what happened to his dad ( he is a student with special needs and dad has been deployed most of this school year) but he will be the smile that gets his family through this tough time. Never underestimate the smile of a child!!

Comment by Mark, Sheboygan

Dear Alisy…I RENOUNCE and REPUDIATE so-called DISENFRANCHISED American sub-classes (do I have your blood boiling yet?).

Possibly, we as a culture have forgotten, or fail to have taught, the promise of America. Any trip to the foundation of the Statue of Liberty will reinforce my thoughts. We are a nation of immigrants (even those tracing their lineage to the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower). That promise is that if you desire a better standard of living and you’re dedicated to hardwork, any individual can apply themselves and derive personal gain (however one defines “gain”).

Our current political environmet provides ethnic groups (not including homosexuals) to define themselves by events of the past. Personally, I believe this has occurred because elected officials develop constituencies by “inflamming” their pain. Desires for power, money and status drive these behaviors resulting in a zero-sum-gain for those ethnic groups. Primarily due to the desire for power, et. al., requires that those ethinic groups are constantly reminded of how painful the past has been. Eventually, the product of this process is a clear cultural definition of those groups separating them from society at-large.

No matter where you throw a dead cat, one can always hit someone from these minorities who, despite the past, have risked and risen above the living standards that we imposed by the pain of the past. This personal success is the promise of America.

Its unfortunate we cannot change the past (I think Einstein provided some research that suggests this may be a possibility…but a possibility only). Given this, hope is defined by an expectation that life will be better in the FUTURE.

Senator Obama beautifully idealizes “HOPE” as his mantra and promise. However, one cannot truly believe in hope if collectively individuals are being united by the circumstances of the past. Although Senator Obama does not directly identify the “Evil White Man” as the entity to hate and fight, his supporters certainly do. Therefore, it follows that his political support, and possible presidential election, is based upon his leading minorities to make the White Man pay for all past transgressions…very interesting to say the least.

Hillary is no different in her approach to “Women’s Issues” and the so-called “Defense of Children”. I get a sense that Democrats real mission is to “…make the White man pay…”

I suppose I would support their approach if I believed there was any possibility of success. But ultimately, all that will result from their political strategy is more pain, more political groups feeling DISENFRANCHISED (sorry) and a greater sense of resentment from those having to pay for those promises.

Ultimately, I am driven to the conclusion that Democrats do not believe in the promise of America. Their message(s) and action(s) clearly indicate that they will say and do anything in order to gain power. Democrats are more addicted to Power than any Crack user. I wish I could say, generally, that Republicans are stronger in their belief in personal empowerment…but I cannot. There are a few bright spots in the Republican Party…but just a few.

I want to thank you for your blog (it’s the only one I post). And, I appreciate your opening the blog to “what’s on my mind”.

Shalom Aleichem, Mark P.

I’m just wondering why no one is talking about why the Democrats in Florida and Michigan decided to have their primaries early in the first place, knowing the votes would not count and would have to be done over? It was a huge waste of money and I think people should know what the logic was or who is at fault for making such a terrible decison.

1.Auto’s–Gas–Did anyone know that it is possible today to have a auto–all electric..NO-Fuel/cell..
So replacing GAS stations with another type of station needs to happen…
and you can get a mni-SUV ..350miles before charge–15min to charge –155mph top speed..
But it is 60k…but the POINT IS—it can be done for under 30k…see (google search) zap x lotus
If the Gov. really want to get things under control..fuel..mandate this to happen in 2009..
Tax incentives to do it…and make it happen…and this is PROVEN tech. not new..

2.Gates…wanting more overseas personnel…Ummmm—while we here in US looking for jobs..Ummm…amazing that congress would even listen to him…but then again congress in blind anyway..Gates destroyed the operating system he bought(not made–written–and stoled everything else…)but that is a nother KNOWN story..one other tid-bit—he could not write a line of code if his life depended on it…another KNOWN fact…

Hey Alisyn. You know what I find wierd…a supporter of McCain comes out and uses Obama’s full name, Barak Hussien Obama, and then immediately McCain feels he has to apologizes for it and does so. A supporter of Hilary comes out and talks about McCain and then Hilary comes out and apologizes, like she should have. Then there is Obama…his own pastor of 20 YEARS comes out and says these racist and hateful things. I know for at least 2 days ya’ll have been reporting on it and there has been nothing from the Obama camp. That should tell you something..he obviously agrees with what this so-called “man of God” (big emphasis on the so-called) is saying. I hope this opens the eyes of some of the voters out there supporting Obama because of all of his “Change” rhetoric.

Allysn,
I am writing about Jeremiah Wright. I can not believe that last night during Obama’s questioning of his relationship with Jeremiah Wright, he said ” if he (Wright) repeated those degraceful comments, he would leave his church.” If I had heard comments like that, they would not have to be repeated before I left the church. WHAT’S REALLY SCARY, is all of the people that were supporting him at the pulpit screaming, yelling, and clapping. However, the most important thing is what this man is doing to the minds of THE YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE AUDIENCE! As a teacher in our public schools, I’m appalled at what this church is teaching. No wonder we continue to have racial problems in our country when crazy radicals like him are at the pulpit. He is no man of God. His church needs to be investigated fully for what’s really going on in that church. At this point after what I saw, I would never vote for Obama. Now we know the real truth about Obama wife’s comments too. Time reveals all……

Comment by Sue West

Dear Alyson,

I think Barack has three problems now. First, his minister is a bigot and anti American. Second, he didn’t leave the church. Anyone will tell you that if they went to a house of worship and their minister spoke like this, they would find another church, unless they agreed with the minister. I am also so angry that Barack gave his explanation and said that he really didn’t know that his minister had these opinions. This is an insult to me. Does he think that people are so stupid that we would believe this? I am not stupid and I resent that he thinks I am. He sat in that pew, consulted his minister about the title of his book, was married by him and his children were baptized by him. And please Alyson I am so tired of now hearing about John McCain’s endorsers. We are not stupid out here. There is a big difference between an endorser of a candidate and a candidate endorsing a minister that is a racist.

Comment by Kirk

I have just read most of the comments on this blog for the past weekend. I would like to add and possibly answer Jennifer. It could be it took Obama’s group two days to go through the tapes to be sure Obama was not shown in any. It would be hard for him to distance himself if his was shown in one standing behind Rev. Wright. I too believe it is hard to believe anybody as active in his church as Obama says he is, to not have heard these comments. He did say he heard one after his campaign started, but later in the same interview he said maybe 1 or 2. I know if I had heard even one of those comments coming from my Minister I would have left that church. Obama went to that church for 20 years, I refuse to believe he missed only those sermons. He could well be as some people say “a sleeper Muslim fanatic”.

Comment by Kirk

Forgot to mention in previous comment I watch Fox news every day. I really enjoy your program. I don’t get to watch Fox & Friends as much as I would like to because I don’t get up early enough, but when I do I turn it on first. Then make my coffee and other morning things.

Comment by Sue West

Please “Fox” explain something to me. Please!!! I don’t understand if Barack O’bama asked his pastor in the beginning of the campaign not to do the prayer because of his controversial feelings and teachings, then how can he say that he had no idea his pastor was saying these hateful things? Am I missing something here? I feel like the media is treating us like we are stupid. I watched several television programs over the weekend and they just seem to want the story to go away or switch over to blame Hillary Clinton for Geralding Ferraro or McCain for some minister that is endorsing him. There is a huge difference here between someone who works for you, endorses you, and your decision to attend and support a church with such a hateful pastor. I think the Democratic Party has a real problem here. They have a probable nominee now that will now never win the General Election against McCain. By the way I’m a Democrat and I’m not too happy.

There should be more and more people speaking out against the outragious rantings of Rev Wright. That is plain and simple HATRED SPEECH! And should be arrested ar at least made to pay fines for injecting such venomous way of viewing our Government and white people in general. Obama’s wimpy explanation that he was not there does not fly with me. I conected the dots before Rev Wright clips was aired. Going back to his wife statement on the capain trail, of never in her adult life been proud of been an American….(Where that came from?) and Barack saying that he kept Rev Wright out of his inagural candidacy, because “some of ihs Sermons were a little rough”? Where did he hear the rough Sermons.

Does he really thinks that all americans can be bambuseled? After OReilly aired the segments made me understand clearly that Obama is not fothright honest, and what confirms it to me was the very weak repudation of the Rev approach. He did not come across to be indignant and very vociforous, like Ted Kennedy came across with the “Abu Graib undeware caper” …Shouting SHAME ON YOU! Had he done that, it would have convince me that he relly meant it…he merely offered that he was not going to be on his campain and that he was retiring from preaching! It does not mitigate that Rev Wright weighed heavily in his point of view, after 20 years of injecting hatered in Obama’s & his wife’s, ears!

when we take all of Obama’s statments into acount (irreverance to the flag, not pledgeing alligence to the flag,”first time in my life I am proud to be American”) it is quite evident that both Obamas were there for Rev. Could there possibly be a connection between the comments made by Michele Obama and what she is hearing during the Rev. Wright’s “sermons”?

Comment by Beth

You’re letting this Sharpton off the hook! In saying that Wright’s works in his community ought to be the focus, not what the man says, he’s saying the ends justify the means.

Okay, so we could say that slavery helped the American economy … ends justify the means?

You guys let him worm his way out of this and this whole issue of Wright’s fomenting black hatred against whites in the name of Christ is too important to let slide.

You should have let Steve D question Sharpton … he wouldn’t let him off the hook.

Tucker Carlson said that Obama’s Reverend Wright called Natalie Halloway a slut. These are in transcripts of his speeches. Why is this not being mentioned? I am disturbed by the recent California ruling to outlaw home schooling. I have home schooled my 11 year old daughter for her whole life. She has a challenging curriculum, that rivals what the local schools have. She is very socialized. She also has the opportunity to learn from other “teachers” as we are part of a home school co-op where at 11 she is learning Spanish, Economics, Home-Ec, Life Skills, Geography, History, and has a class on Current Events (I teach the current events class and use a lot of Fox News Articles). We take field trips together and participate in many other learning activities together. She even has opportunties do to her “home work” with her friends like any other schooled child.

When she is put next to another child the same age she is ahead on math, reading, and most of her subject. While I agree with many that some home schoolers do not do much to teach their children, most of us do. Even those of us who are not acredited teachers.

What I like best about home schooling her is that she is still an innocent 11 year old. She is not exposed to the sex, drugs and etc, that are often found in schools now. She is not sheltered, she is just the way an 11 year old is supposed to be. On the verge of being a teen but still plays with her Barbies. How many 11 year olds do you know who are concerned about politics and has picked someone she could vote for if she could vote? Or has a strong, definite opinion about Iraq and our troops (whom she is very proud of and supports whole heartedly). I know that if she were in school she would lose part of what makes her a sweet, opinionated, and intelligent girl.

Comment by Dan

I agree, Arlene. That’s his out if he is caught on tape. He’ll say that he heard it and talked to the rev and then didn’t hear it repeated again.

This racist attitude toward whites is happening at our colleges too. You can feel the attitude blacks have towards whites. I don’t know about the rest of you but I don’t owe them anything. In fact, the government should stop passing laws benefiting blacks and stop the diversity programs at college.

There is a book called “They Were White and They Were Slaves” that proves that not only were there mostly white slaves in America brought over from England but they were treated much worse than blacks ever were.

I think this race thing is going to explode with Obama and his pastor. I don’t know how any body can sit and listen to such ranting that the Reverend Wright was expelling, is it that the education is not at a level that these people can decide for there selves what is wrong or right.
I have worked in the north east US and for my own experience the people who preach this type of hatred for white folks have an agenda to keep the pot bolling and it enriches their lives not to fulfilment but monetarily. Their followers continue to listen and contribute and these people continue to preach this hatred because it is a living and a very good one at that and the followers continue to help this circle.
I personally have dealt with black people all over the country and find the rural living people have a better understanding of race and color definitinition. If you work and prosper you are not seen as a black person but as a neighbor. The inner city people seem to think that somebody owes them some thing, and they are entitled to it whether they work or not.
I do not have a PHD in human relations but a belief in God and country.

I’m so glad you’re on for two hours in the morning now. I use to change channels after you left because I didn’t care for the other girl. But now I’ve found that really cute tall dark haired girl who was on with you, Kirsten? She’s now on CNN. But I won’t be going there as long as your sparkling personality entertains us in the mornings with another of my favorites, Steve Doocey (sp?).

I was so impressed withyou on Fox in the Morning. You have such great chemistry with Brian and Steve. You speak with intelligence and have appear to have a good time.
I wish you were on every morning.
If you are ever offered the AM spot, I hope you can take it. I know it is difficult to work out with a baby to think about.
Come back soon!

Why is it EVERYTIME President Bush gives a speech the stock market drops.

Comment by Sue in Pa.

Why is it that everyone spoke about how we must never make this election about race and yet it was O’bama’s team that shouted racism everytime someone said something negative about him. I think that Barack O’bama’s team had a plan. Barack O’bama didn’t decide to have this big open discussion on racial relations until his foot got stuck in it. I am talking about his pastor problem. I am 58 years old and I can honestly tell you that I think Barack O’bama has not been responsible for bringing the races together. On the contrary I believe his campaign has done more to divide the races than anything I have ever seen. Richardson, now an endorser of O’bama states that he is disappointed in the way this election is moving and how divisive it is. He points to the Clintons’. He should look again. It is the pastor situation of Barack O’bama that has made this so sickening. I am a democrat and I can tell you that if Barack O’bama is the democratic nominee I will vote for John McCain in the general election.

We hear about the state of the economy being in the tank and that small businesses make up over 50% of the people employed (SBA), but has anyone considered the impact on new entrepreneurs?

Our company began in April 2007 to bring a new invention for consumers to market. Our goal was to help people safely organize our stuff in the largest open area of the home – The Attic. We won national awards, but then as the market turned down, like many small businesses, are now struggling to maintain existence because of the economy. There are so many strikes against a company who has a new consumer product produced in the USA, according to the DIY Network are entering a new market category, and trying to enter the mass retail market. http://www.attictrac.com

What I want to know is it just our small business that is struggling or it is common around the US? Also the Democratic plans for small businesses terrify me because of their tax and spend approach.

Alysin,

I saw the people from Ohio on the After the Show show and wished there was some way to tell about our attic storage and retrieval system on the air. I am entering everyday for the sweepstakes to simply be with you guys for a few minutes and tell about our products. I would love to even come and organize your house for you with our products.

Tell Gretchen we have Ohio in common. At age 26, I was the youngest Mayor in the State of Ohio, but that was in 1975 – long before she was even born, and lived near Cincinnati for 38 years.

Thanks for listening and I’d like to see if I am the only one struggling as a small businessman.

I’d like to know what’s going on with Sandy Berger (or as Steve named him – Sandy Burglar). After a slap on the wrist for stealing and destroying classified documents – what’s he doing now? My fear is that his security clearance has been reinstated and that he’s free to access classified information again.

I realize it’s no longer a top story but it’s one that I personally feel shouldn’t be forgotten.

Sensitivity?

Would this city do the same for Gay people? I don’t
think so, why the special treatment? I don’t see just
a racist action but also a sexual discrimination.

Eugene, wake up!! The best way to treat people is how you want to be treated. You do that and you won’t have any problems

Ali,

Why is Hillary and Obama in a battle? It’s not attractive
and has damaged both of their creditability. I’ve decided
to not vote for any party. Hell, I don’t think I’ll ever vote
again.

I heard about a steo mother in Hobbs New Mexico that killed her 3 yr old stepson and it don’t seem that anything is being done about it. Is there anyway you could investigate just a bit to reveal what might be going on? Presidential canidates can’t keep a secret but the law can? I just think it is so unfair that this child died and no one has said anything since this lady was released from jail. I know that if it were here in Texas something would be done sooner. This all happened on Jan 10th of this year. Hopefully you can shed so light to me as why they are dragging thier fet. Thank you and I just love your show. I am addicted to it. My husband thinks that my tv only has one channel.

This one probably should be addressed to Ollie North, so that he can instruct your news staff. Many of your reporters have no idea of how one should address navy or coast guard personnel. A recent news report had US Coast Guard Chief Petty Office being interviewed and being addressed as “Officer.” A man of that rank in the navy or coast guard should be addressed as “Chief”

Lower ranked petty officers (First, 2nd, 3rd class) can be addressed as “petty officer”

Several months ago, the Commandant of the Coast Guard, who is a four-star admiral, was referred to and addressed as “Commander,” which is six ranks below a four-star admiral.

Some of the news personnel (not only Fox, but other networks as well), will call sailors, and airmen, “soldiers”. Soldiers are in the army!! Sailors are in the navy; Airmen are in the air force; marines are in the marines; coast guardsmen are in the coast guard. For a station that supports the military, a bit of knowlegde seems to be lacking. Maybe Ollie can give classes.
