Steve’s Back From Vacation!

Mike Huckabee’s going to be in the Greenroom this morning. Any questions you’d like me to ask him? What do you think about him staying in the race? If it’s mathmatically impossible for him to secure the nomination, is it time to bow out?
And now for a total non-sequitur… let’s establish a ground rule for In the Greenroom. If you want to criticize any FOX News Channel personality here, let’s limit it to it me. It’s not cool to insult or slam anyone other than me on this blog. But you know, I’d hate for all your venom and vitriol to be wasted on my eyes only. And good news! Some of the anchors that are really getting under your skin have their own email. I’m sure your helpful wardrobe hints will immediately be heeded by all the people that are arousing your, um, ire.
3 ripe bananas
1 cup of sugar
1 egg
4 tablespoons melted and cooled butter
1 ½ cup of flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Preheat oven to 325˚. Lightly grease 9 x 5 pan.
Bowl-mash bananas and beat in sugar, then egg and butter.
In a separate bowl stir together dry ingredients and add to banana mix – stir until moist.
Put in pan 55 – 60 minutes.
What do YOU think of the current American Idol controversy — should contestants who had record contracts in the past be allowed to compete on the show now?
(And Janice Dean, the Weather Machine, sat with us today! You can check out HER blog here!)
Here’s your opportunity to spout off! What’s on your mind today? What burning issue do you want bounce off the brilliant brains behind In the Greenroom? Here’s some food for thought (I love food…and thoughts):
– Will the virtual fence along Mexico-Arizona border work?
– fallout from New York Times-John McCain story?
– fallout from shot-down spy satellite?
– Who will win the Oscar Awards Sunday night?
And one big P.S. — Keep the morning greetings and your phone numbers coming!! We’ve loved the ones from Ronnie and Marissa this week. Much more to come…
Cal Ripkin … Antonio Pierce … and Maureen McCormick … anything goes on the AtSS!
Or as I like to call it, Thursday in the Greenroom. Just another incredible mix of history and personality in here this morning.
We have linebacker Antonio Pierce, from the Superbowl champs the NY Giants, plus baseball’s all-time “Ironman” Cal Ripken, Maureen McCormick (aka Marcia) of the Brady Bunch, and Lt. General Ray Odierno, the former commander of the Multi-National Corps in Iraq. I don’t know if General Odierno was more excited to meet a baseball Hall of Famer or a Brady!
What do you think about the front-page NYTimes story on John McCain’s alleged inappropriate relationship with a female lobbyist? Do you find the timing suspicious? Is this story damning or a hit job? Could it torpedo McCain’s campaign? Share your thoughts.
Here’s that long-awaited propostion for all of you that I alluded to in earlier posts. This diabolical plan was hatched in the devious mind of Toba (audio God). We know you all have a lot to say and here’s your chance to be heard on national tv. We would love for you to give us a good morning greeting that we could use to start the show. You’d have to give us your phone number (don’t worry I won’t publish it on the blog and we’ll only use it to contact you for this greeting), then Toba will give you a call and tape you saying your creative greetings and we may just use it one morning on the show.
So let’s do a dry run now. What would you like to say in a greeting on FOX & Friends?
