First the bad news…
I’m off tomorrow. I know, I know, I should really run these vacation requests by you. But I’m sure you understand how challenging it is to work extra early hours during primary season and how much my bed misses me when I’m not in it (not to mention my family). So I won’t be hosting the show tomorrow but I am considering a special edition of In the Greenroom called In the Guestroom (that’s where the computer is in my apartment) . I’m told technology has advanced enough to allow me to actually blog from home. Unbelievable, but that’s what I hear.
I don’t know what happened to yesterday’s After the Show Show. Our computer wizards are looking into why it wasn’t posted. Hopefully, it’ll be up this morning… In the meantime, keep sending in those suggestions for questions and topics for today’s A.S.S.
Let’s talk about that fugitive Marine. It seems as though his wife is cooperating with police by handing over a note written by Laurean. But if she was involved in the original coverup of Maria Lauterbach’s murder, should she get immunity? Press reports have quoted police as saying that the crime scene in their home was covered in blood.

The wife of the fugitive marine should not receive immunity. The fact that blood has been found in the home of the wife could possibly mean that she had some involvement in the murder. If there’s any chance that she had any involvement in the murder and until they know for certain that she did not, she would still be a suspect. Personally, the only time I would consider giving anyone immunity that is involved in a murder or kidnapping is in the event the victim is a child.
If the wife was a participant in the murder or even an accessory before or after the fact, she needs to be in prison.
You desreve the time off and don’t go blogging from home, enjoy the day with your family, we’ll survive until Monday (but we will miss you!).
Now, I would like to know if any of you have a secret indulgence? Need that Rocky Road fix? Still watching Saturday morning cartoons? Is chocolate running through your veins?
Nick,
My love of chocolate is no secret! If I suffer a cut, hot fudge runs out.
Alisyn,
Good Morning! It’s colder than a titch’s wit here in Nebraska this morning! 4 degrees Fahrenheit. We have a very cute, black tiny toy poodle named Chip who is 6 mo. old and must answer when nature calls first thing in the morn. I have been trying to catch up on my ff and ff 1st watching. I actually dvr them so i don’t miss anything. These early starts on primary days you folks are on here at 4AM. Anyway, a couple things. Yesterday, I believe you had a news piece on the “bull” escape and run in TX. I think Brian asked how you know if it’s a bull and was teased by Doocey. But if you look @ the video, Steve got it wrong. That was NO BULL! There are no “swingin dice” from the mirror if you know what I mean. It was a steer. The Kansas boy should know that! 2nd, I think you guys should do a spoof of Am. Idle. Yesterday’s clip was a riot! Question, was that really Hil’s voice singing the national anthem? If so, tell her to sing solo next time (so low u can’t hear her)
You DO watch closely!
Regardless of what she is doing now. If she helped in any way she should be sent to jail.
Alisyn thanks for letting us know on your day off.
Don’t cut into your time off but it’s funny thinking we may be on the same plain if you blog tomorrow. PJ’s, bed head, and wool house slippers. LOL
Ed
Ed,
Have you installed a surveillance camera in my apartment? How else could you know my exact attire?
Alysin,
This is the second time I’ve posted this, so we’ll see if it shows up on your blog.
OK, when I got up and turned on Fox News I got the message on the screen “Poor Signal” so I had to miss the 45 minutes I usually get to see from 6-6:45 a.m. Bummer…
I’m in Albemarle, NC BTW.
You guys have a great show!
And tomorrow, you’ll be missed. But I understand about needing time off. Enjoy.
Walter
I’m thinking you should reboot.
I would hope that the time spent at AtSS is not promoting someone’s book or the normal format that you have in the previous 3 hours. I really enjoy you talking among yourselves and crew. Hopefully yesterday was an exception and my leaving your foray early will not be necessary.
I would make no commitment on the immunity, until I found no evidence of her prints in the
crime scene.. well, enjoy your day off tomorrow alisyn..Your going to need the much needed rest for the future schedule of this never ending primary coverage…-and now with everyone running so closely…it’s quite exciting not to have a landslide victory on both parties…..
mrs.foxnews junkie
Good morning Alisyn
LONG time entire Fox network fan (partial to Fox & Friends and O’Reilly), but first time to look at your blog was yesterday – usually busy getting ready for work.
Anyway, just wanted to say good morning and to “test” this to see if I was doing it correctly.
Have a great day and since you’re off tomorrow (Friday), “see” you next week
jo
Yes, Jo, you’re doing it perfectly.
Alisyn,
If it weren’t for the two egomaniac wastes of time you sit between, I’d watch more often. You do good work and look forward to you going solo or getting co-hosts that don’t interrupt each other (and you) with their self-important light-weight banter.
But if I were all alone, I’d sorely miss those two ego-maniacs, er I mean, Steve and Brian.
Run-away Marine: Something is up with that whole story. As hard as I try, I can’t make much sense of any of it. Was something else strange going on with all these people?
Don’t pay any attention to these people! Blog from home with a web cam so we can see the weekend Alisyn bed head and all!
The webcam may be a little too much Alisyn.
Allisyn you go right ahead and sleep in tomorrow (with young ones? good luck with that!!) As a mother of (14 yr old) twins, hearing your stories brings back the memories of finding mine on the kitchen table, one with the pepper shaker, one with the salt, seasoning each other! Enjoy these times girlfriend, they grow up too fast.
When I watch the A.S.S., I always wish I could morf through my TV, bring my coffee and sit on the couch with y’all. You always have so much fun!
I wouldn’t worry about the marine. Trained or not, there’s always someone trained better and they’ll find him.
Hillary would have impressed me more if she was on a REAL flight and announced her plan on how she was going to fix all the flight delays. I’m impressed when the candidates act like humans, not spoiled politicians.
Anywho…. Have a great day and get a head start on that vacation.
All my best,
Theresa
To my fellow MOT (mother of twins),
I was always amused by Ray Romano’s joke about having twins: At any given time, one’s always ready to jump off something and the other’s there to cheer him on.
Enjoy your time off, family is most important. I work from home and some days I think I would get a lot more done if I had an outside office.
about that sick story was there any domestic reports on him with the wife?? Could she have been a part of this or did she suffer from abuse at his hands too?? Is she under protective custody or able to flee too??
I wonder can you dig up anything or anyone to help under stand what the wife must be going thru, I want to believe she had nothing to do with this BUT more needs to be looked into
My prayers go out the families
Believe me, Me, working outside the home is the ONLY way to get things done.
As much as your blog is a part of my daily reading, you blogging from home might not be a good idea. That is of course you re-negotiate your contract. I could easily see one day turning into many turning into a REQUIRED Saturday and Sunday blog, and you don’t really want that do you.
You’re right! I’ll make tomorrow a one-time-only blog offer.
Alisyn, blogging from home is actually quite simple.
I’m sure that an intelligent person like you will have no trouble getting the hang of it.
Hey Dog,
If you think anything on the computer is simple for me, you are on crack.
Personally, I’m sick of hearing about the psycho that wore a Marine uniform. My uncle was a career grunt who served our nation honorably for over 25 years. This dip is not a true Marine or he would not have possibly been involved in this grisly mess. As for the wife, lets wait and see just how much knowlege she had/has. Till then, I would prefer that the next live shot would be of him in a uniform (Jail jumpsuit) and chains.
Oh, okay – you’ve sold us…take the day off.
But before you go, help Gretchen. Her reaction to Bubba’s FAKED anger – planned ahead of time for THAT question just as his flap with Chris Wallace was totally planned – is WHAT THEY WANTED:
i.e. overlook the story itself, which is Clinton Campaign Roughness at its most cynical and calculating and, instead, have the women voters’ gut reaction that “he’s just being a good husband and standing by his wife when she’s ATTACKED (!! – see below)”
The REAL story: almost a year ago ALL Nevada Dems agreed to rules, including inside casino caucuses to help “their” voters participate (a constant theme of these same Clintonistas if someone argues for Voter ID elsewhere, arguing that such ID’s are UNFAIR to their folks), because WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT BACK THEN THAT THE CULINARY UNION WOULD ENDORSE OBAMA!?
Instead, just weeks ago, they DID exactly that. And TWO DAYS after that action, the Clinton campaign machinery files the law suit. (See – Hillary wasn’t attacked. HER campaign – through “her” teachers union – initiated this “attack” on the Dems’ own rules.
So please point Gretchen to the WSJ today for John Fund’s FULL explanation of this story – she has been “used” by Mr. Bill.
Have fun on the day off – hope the weather perks up so you can get the kids out to Central Park!!
al,
who was the guy you were talking to? he’s really cute and you guys have a good chemistry, and gretchen said he can pick out shoes? Wow!
Um, Mike, is this you?
Where is Wednesday’s ATSS?
Hey Alison,
Have a great day off! Take some time to enjoy your beautiful angels. I think you have a great TEAM there at f&f! You all bring something very special to the show. The sum is great than the total of it’s parts. Blessings to You and Yours.
Alisyn,
Whats this I hear about a guestroom? Apartment in NYC with a guestroom, must be nice.
You deserve it you work hard and we thank you for it.
Stephen M.
W. Spfld Ma.
I smell an Alisyn impersonator in our midst…..
PLEASE WHY DONT YOU ALL PUT THIS IN THE MEDIA??????? AND LETS SEE WHAT AMERICANS WILL SAY ABOUT THIS.
why why why why whyy will you not tell all america about this…………..why this is so HUGE OF A STORY,NOT TO GET IT OUT IN THE MEDIA
CLINTON MAKES BUSH DICTATOR
With the full support of Senators Clinton, Obama and McCain, President Bush recently signed into Law the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, which, according to Senator Leahy (VT), will actually “encourage the President to declare Martial Law.” It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a Laws which limits the President’’s ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act, helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic Law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush has now undone all of those prohibitions. The John Warner Defense Authorization Act, which was signed by the President in an unpublicized ceremony, allows the President to declare a “public emergency,” suspend Congress; The Constitution; and to take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of your Governor or local authorities, in order to “suppress public disorder.” President Bush seized this unprecedented power on the very same day that he signed the equally odious Military Commissions Act. The two Laws compliment one another. One allows for torture and detention abroad of those who dissent and are stripped of their citizenship, while the other seeks to enforce acquiescence at home by allowing the President to order the military onto our streets in a domestic Law enforcement role, which is already being done. Vote for Liberty. .
——————————————————————————–
CLINTON ALLOWS BUSH TO PARDON HIMSELF
Buried deep inside Military Commisions Act, which was FULLY SUPPORTED by Senators Clinton, Obama and McCain, is a provision which pre-pardons President Bush and all the members of his administration for any crimes which they may have committed all the way back to September 11, 2001. Why that far back? That kind of makes you wonder. Huh? I can”t help but recall what Nixon said during an interview following the Watergate scandal when he said, “If the President does it, by definition, it’’s not illegal.” History never repeats itself, folks. It only rhymes. At least Nixon had enough class to wait for another President to pardon him for his crimes against our country. Bush apparently doesn”t want to take that chance. He has to consider the risk that A AMERICAN will become our next President.

Allison, PLEEEEEEEEEZE pass on the tip that the people who live in Nevada really hate it when the name of our state is mispronounced. We say it with the “a” sounding like it is in the word “at” versus in the word “want”. Pass it along. We are from the west, rebellious and want it said correctly. Thanks a bunch!! Susan Ellis, Fallon, NV
Hopefully being posted soon
Good morning Alisyn,
Anyone involved, the wife included, should not be granted immunity. No matter how sorry anyone is or how much they try to help now, it will not bring back that mother or child.
Do not apologize for taking time off to be with your family or for yourself. You are at work when most people are still sleeping, work hard, give of yourself, and bring a lot of enjoyment to others, as testified on this blog daily. Why don’t you just leave the computer off tomorrow and relax?
Just a note to thank you and the others for making my mornings so enjoyable. I go to work at 4am in the morning in LA as an video editor for one of Newscorps many networks, and the only thing I enjoy watching at that time is F&Fs. As for you, I have been a fan of yours since you first appeared of Fox news Channel. I used to live and work in NYC when the network first started, and have never missed a day without some Foxs News, and now I get the Fox Business Channel , too! I am in heaven!
I also love the way you and Gretchen handle Brian…he’s a bit of a handfull isn’t he?
Anyhow, love your show, and all of the F&Fs…
By the way, I heard Hillary just wanted to get back into the White House, so she could finish furnishing her home.
Any consideration for a youtube channel for the ASS. redeye has one and it seems to get good response. Plus then it could go viral.
Alisyn.
Great A.S.S today!
Loved the A.S.S. today, found it really funny. Doocey may not be much of a news man, but he sure can be the life of the party. I think he may have performed as “Happy the Clown” at my daughters birthday party last fall.
Streaking, did somone say Gretchen or Alisyn are going to streak! Wait Wait, let me get my DVR setup to record the Fox Business channel.
Oh, was there a question today. Yes, the wife is as culpable (sp?) as the husband as I believe she new about the murders and did not report it. She may have even helped him cover it up. I also believe she knows where he is at. She should be charged with murder.
Erik in FL
Maybe the other net work hacked into After the Show Show and ran with the footage!LOL. Now on more of a seriously note, the fugitives Marines wife should be held accountable if in deed she willingly and freely helped in anyway of murdering and covering up the murder of Maria Lauterbach and her poor helpless baby. ( evil truly walks among us) As far as Exemption from a legal duty, penalty or prosecution for the wife, I’m not so sure about this. I try to always look at both sides of the story, however, when a child is involved I tend to have less mercy on anyone that might have the slightest involvement in such a heartless crime. The only way I would say the wife should not be held accountable is if she was protecting her own children and she reported the crime as soon as she was able to free herself from the beast. I would also go as far as looking at what charges could be filed against the officials that dropped the ball in this case.
Sincerly
Just me
Alisyn,
That was too funny with Steve messin around with the Biz folks. The A.S.S is a really cool concept that shows your away from work humor,(as if we have not seen that on the regular show at times). Also liked your improv of the (4)four second delay in the election van…ha-ha.
Keep up the good work,(and comedy).Every other morning show in history is boring.
Jason- Longview,Tx.
Alisyn,
WOW! These bloggers really love you. They really don’t like it when you are gone. You are the cheese on their cheese burgers. You are the nuts in their granola. You are the blueberries in their pancakes. You are the wind beneath their wings.
Don’t let it go to your head! Have ANOTHER good day off.
Steve was on fire this morning… I bet we see security guards at the door to Fox Business tomorrow morning. That was the best piece of A.S.S. ever! too bad Brian has to run off to the radio show, if all four of you were there this morning there is no telling what would have happened.
No I can get back to work.
To comment on an ealier comment, I truly enjoy you sitting between those two “ego-maniacs” on the couch. I think that you and Gretchen do an excellent job keeing the boys straight on the sofa.
Alisyn you have your hands full all the time it seems. Not only a working mother of 3, but a tv celebrity to boot. How do you do it lol. I have 3 kids of my own but they are age 4, 14, 18 and they keep me hopping all day long!
I love the interaction you have with everyone on here..
Thanks again
K
Good Morning Fox&Friends Gang! Thanks again for another great start to my extreme winter morning here in the midwest.
Did you notice how Fergie gracefully ignored your question about the author Andrew Morton? Do you suppose it had something to do with her name mentioned in the Princess Diana Biography tell all by Morton?!
Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family involved in that murder of the Marine mother and her child. Justice will be served. If the guilty is hiding down in Mexico we need to send in that Bounty-Hunter DOG guy who got in trouble a few months ago.
Have a great weekend Alisyn! We are about to begin our four day weekend with hopes of having some fun in the fresh snow with our kids!
Have a great day off Alisyn! Love Fox & Friends!
Take your day off, don’t blog, and don’t feel guilty. Enjoy every minute of time with your little ones, because the time with them is so short and goes so fast, and you can only enjoy it now. My baby sons are twins (now 20 and in college). I speak with much authority on this subject. Trust me–Everyone will be back to check you and the blog out next week.
As for the Marine’s wife, I was wondering myself how she had not been arrested as an acccomplice. There is no way she could have lived in the house and not known about the murder if it was a gruesome as the sheriff described. I don’t think she deserves immunity even if she is helping investigators.
Gwen Walton
I think the wife does need some punishment. I really feel sorry for the toddler they have
together which I read in the paper in Indiana. It stated that the toddler is 18 months old.
I wonder if she had already moved to the base before the killing and if so she would not
of known what kind of shape the home was in.
All of the families need some Prayers for healing and strength.
Delores, F.W. Indiana
Alisyn, my handle is merely meant as a joke.
If you need computer help, feel free to email me.
I’m an IT pro.
More John Voight and other Hollywood stars who support the war and then interview them about what their life is like in LA being surrounded by the pro-surrender crowd. That is really interesting and gives our military encouragement, because in Iraq they only hear about the morons wanting to retreat as quickly as possible!
What happened to the clip on what Couric said about Cindy McCain? Did I miss it? Thought I was paying attention.
The lost A.S.S. will go down in history as just that! ugh!
Don’t forget to have some “fun” this weekend, Allie!
See you next week.
Alisyn, have a great day off. You’ve earned it.
I don’t think we should rush to judgment regarding that Marine’s wife. We don’t have all the information to conclude what she knew or that she helped her husband. If the authorities rush to arrest her, her attorney will advise her to stop talking to the authorities. Then, any information she might have to help the authorities to find her husband will be kept to herself. If she was involved in this murder, I suspect her attorney will be working on a plea deal in exchange for her cooperation.
Barbara
Does the wife deserve to be punighed? Lets look at it this way: You come home from work and see that there is a room in house that has blood splattered everywhere. Right there I would call the police, unless my wife was a butcher. (She is not.)
As a spouse it is not your responsibilty to cover up the others crimes, it your job to love them through the ordeal if you can. Her lack of action may have allowed the man to escape to Mexico.
As for the kid, he (she) will be screwed up enough by what the father has done. Put him (her) up for adoption and hope a good family takes up the calling.
Missed tASS today! I’m so bummed because it sounds like it was great. Why can’t I find it on the website? The blog is great! Like a big fam.
Why was the media beating up the Marines? From what I heard, it didn’t sound like anyone saw that murder coming. It is sooooo tragic! I heard on one report on Fox that they weren’t sure if the baby was killed before it was born or after. Breaks my heart! That little life was just as important as the mother’s. It’s murders such as this that make me wonder how someone could be against the death penalty. ???
I’ve been thinking that there is something fishy going on with the Marine murder. First, as mentioned before, a room in the house was supposedly covered in blood. If the wife wasn’t involved with the actual killing, wouldn’t it send off a red flag when she got home to find blood all over the walls?! And, if she knew nothing, how is she able to provide the police with so much information? It seems that she’s giving them more than what was included in that letter left by her husband. And, wouldn’t you notice that a big hole had been dug and refilled in your back yard? Am I just missing something here? Maybe I haven’t seen all of the coverage. Something’s odd, though.
JC
Good afternoon, Alisyn,
I believe this situation with Mr. Laureans has significant implications about our relationship with Mexico. I will be curious to hear, if Mr. Laureans is found and deported to the US. We tend to forget that our current and proposed treatment of alien Americans affects relationships with our partners to the South.
I realize that illegal immigration is a problem, and I have yet to make up my mind as to which side I will fall. In any event, we are talking about the lives of individuals who came to this Country, albeit illegally, seeking a better life for them and their families. Remember, most illegal immigrants send 40% of their earnings back to their Country of origin to support their extended family…I admire their efforts greatly.
So when we have alleged murderous louses running to Mexico, et. al., are we to expect cooperation in prosecuting their sorry a$$es because of our immigration policies. I am not sure. In any event, I know some guys in Phenix City, Alabama, that for $25 and a Coors Light Twelve Pack will find this guy quick…he could disappear completely for another sawbuck.
Enjoy your day off…Shalom Aleichem, Mark.
Why do you, and your morning show cohorts, say that the Republican candidacy is in a very fluid state and, yet, you don’t similarly characterize the Democrats. The Democrats are as fluid as the Republicans, they having no clear front runner either. Maybe the Republican candidates’ number is too big, like 4 or 5 rather than the Democrats’ 2 or 3.
Three places you can get your writing done:
1. At work.
2. At the bus stop.
3. On the road.
===============================
And in Alisyn’s case, she’ll be at her house-
Surrounded by the 3 little ones, and the spouse.
.
You go Alisyn………………………………………..
.
Three reasons that the marine’s wife should not get off:
1. She knew what happened.
2. She knew why the house was re-painted.
3. She did not report it, as soon as she knew.

Hi Alyson,
I just love your outfits. Can you tell me where you get them?
Thanks so much. You’re so dynamic.
TIA,

Hi Alisyn,
Sorry I misspelled your name the first time.

First, to the one that disparaged Steve and Brian, I disagree, they are wonderful, many times I get an early morning chuckle from Brian.
And to the one that thought it was unusual to find a hole that had been filled in within the back yard…maybe, but not so much in NC. Burning is common, so much so, that he was able to have a party, invite friends and stand over that hole. I don’t think immunity should be granted at this point.
I can’t believe she didn’t understand something potentially terrible had happened in that home when she saw the blood.
You know, you deserve every vacation day you get. Don’t blog from home! The whole idea of vacation is to get away from work, relax, spend time doing what you like to do out side of work.
Now, a request to for-america-This is a nice fun blog just like Fox and Friends First, Fox and Friends and the AtSS. Did you really have to put such a “heavy” post here. Please save it for a more appropriate blog.
I personally think the wife knew what her Marine husband did. She should be considered an accessory to murder. It seems to me that she deliberately waited 24 hours to tell the authorities so her husband could flee to his home country(ok so that is my guess as to where he went). By the way, Alisyn, has Greg Kelly said anything about all this from a Marine’s point of view?
I see that Paige was this morning’s host and Gretchen is doind the live desk today. What gives? Loyal viewers should be made aware of upcoming changes in the line-ups unlike we were when Edie was there one day and gone the next.
I see that Paige was this morning’s host and now Gretchen is doing the live desk? What gives. Loyal viewers should be made aware of upcoming line-up changes unlike we were in the case of Edie where she was there one day and gone the next.
Hi Alisyn,
Just wanted to say HI, enjoy your time off. F & F is comical, I am glad to see Brian smile once and awhile. He seems sostraight laced at times. You and all the gals are gorgeous, stay that way. You have twins, I have 9 kids. I was a career sailor, enlisted and did what it says in the scripyurtes, ” Go forth and multiply”. I did.lols. Turkey Tom, Destin, FL.
