The business crowd mills around, outside our greenroom. Keep Reading …
It’s suspiciously empty in our greenroom today. I mean really empty. And I see lots of the business channel folks milling around the perimeter giving me sideways glances. Liz MacDonald, even dropped this coded clue, “I’d go into your greenroom but I fear that my invisible electronic collar would go off.” It’s subtle, but do I detect some ribbing? Is it possible the business contributors have been reading this blog??
OK, my next goal is to figure out how to respond to all the comments you guys have so kindly posted. I’m going to try to figure that out after my 8am news update. I know what you’re thinking: Alisyn, slow down! Don’t tackle all this technical wizardry too soon.” But I think I’m up to it. Is there an intern around?
Ever since the FOX Business Network launched this week, our greenroom has been more lively than usual. It’s packed! As I write there are no fewer than a dozen people in here — all jockeying for a seat. It’s like an adult game of musical chairs. The business contributors are hovering around just outside our greenroom. I don’t want to start an internecine feud, but I have noticed a suspicious vanishing of our baked products. (did the business channel forget to build its own greenroom?) But the fraternizing has its advantages. I do like seeing contributor Charles Payne every morning at 5am and how often he apologizes to me for being in my way, which he’s not… but don’t tell him that. I’m planning to parlay his guilt into free stock tips. I’m going to sneak out right now and go poke around their studio to see what’s going on over there. Photos to follow.
It’s the brave new world of blogging. Starting right now, I will blog about what goes on in the Greenroom, while I’m actually in the Greenroom. What a concept. OK, let me look around…there’s my intern sitting idly on the sofa…well, that might not be the most compelling image to start with. OK, here comes Colonel Hunt…now this oughta get interesting. He blows into a room like a sandstorm — a blindingly big presence and abrasive. Tee, hee. (he’s reading over my shoulder right now). Gotta go, I’ve got 6 minutes to read and copy edit all the my news scripts. More in a minute….
It’s my first day with this new live blog! I’d love to hear what you think — leave me some comments below!
“This is the only show where I’ll come early and stay late just to see who shows up. I love this greenroom. I’ve met the Supremes, hung out with Michelle Phillips from the Mamas and the Papas, lectured Jerry Springer, had a long talk with actor Fred Willard and an argument with Phil Donahue. This is the best place.” — Pollster Fred Luntz, overheard in the greenroom, 10/09/07
A BUS FULL OF BROTHERS

The Brothers Romney jumped off their family bus on Tuesday to climb aboard the greenroom express! They did a drive-by on their way to Michigan to cheer their father on in a debate. There are five of these guys. All super friendly, all handsome. All have those chiseled Romney features. All aroused the interest of some of our female staffers, who afterward each picked a favorite. But sorry ladies, most of them are spoken for, as you’ll see when you check out their family photos on their blog (does anyone NOT have a blog?)
